Loney, can I do my potion shopping off-screen with Shiela?
The imps zooms into the door before the others and does a cursory fly around the cabin.
"I will, no big deal for me, I travel light anyway," Tak offers. "Buying your own stuff though." "Yes! Yes." Yigbex says, waving off the comment. "We need to stop by my bank in the Guildhall district and withdraw the funds. Probably get you an bandolier as well," the imp added, looking over the hulking kobold.
"Alright, listen!" Yigbex barked. "If we're going anywhere I'll be extra squishy, I need to buy some healing potions. Problem is most bottles are as large as I am. I don't have a way to carry them, so I need someone to carry my potions until I need them!"
Yigbex shrugs noncommittedly. "Eh."
"I will be happy to help in anyway that I can, but it seems Telin and Eleven have a better grasp of what will be needed for this venture. I wouldn't even know where to start." The imp hovers closer to the group. "Well, seeing how I'd be wiped out of existence if I don't help you guys," the evil outsider smiled a practiced fanged grin, "I guess I'm a part of 'the team'! I'm known as Yigbex the Honest, or just Yigbex."
The imp flies around trying to make sense of all this talk of ships and sobriety, but to no avail. At least THEY have an idea what they're doing!
"I had sent out many more invitations, But clearly they've been avoided in some way..." he says, looking at the Imp Yigbex. "Devils have their caste system after all..." The imp made a half-hearted smile. "It does matter what plane you're on, or how it's gravity works: '$#|+ still rolls downhill'."
The demon begins to leave- however before he gets to the door, a sound can be heard. For a moment the world around the demon was normal, then suddenly where it used to stand it looked like something had been cut from the universe. Seeing the demon's horrid exit from the known universe, the imp flies down to hover 10 feet away from the exit wound in existence, and chortles with evil delight. "Don't let the cosmos hit you on the way out, @$$hole!" The man huffs, "I had hoped you'd at least have listened... No matter- " he says, sounding a little disappointed. " Now, before you leave- I have to tell you. Each of you who refuse to help will draw the attention of the lady... For I am only here under her orders. I have been working with the Dabu these last few weeks to determine why some portals are closing.. you may have heard the roumors yes?" He says, to which several of the others nod. "apparently the lady believes this is a threat to her- and she can't seem to find it's source either- meaning whomever or whatever is causing this must be out of her reach, or hidden so well she can't find it" he pauses, "understandably, she has sought help from us... Beings she could easily destroy if we decide to go... The imp frowns. "Typical."
Upon seeing the disgusting nalfeshnee, the imp rises up from the chair back to fly and flitter near the corners of the ceiling, highly agitated.
I don't think Yigbex and and Sheila can get along (in character if course) and that's why the split eveil characters. Then again maybe as players Yigbex and Shiela enjoy the tough "banter"? I'd figure the worst it will be between Sheila and Yigbex will be throwing insults at each other, but introductions are still ongoing. So, don't worry, we'll make it work.
Sorry. My imp has strong feeling about anything demon-related. I apologize.
"Well, I... am a Draegloth. We happen when a Drow woman and a demon dont love each other very much, but they get something out of the deal anyway. A Draegloth's supposed to be a sign of favor from "Loth" but I dont know what it means when the drow dies in childbirth. What, like... 30% favor? I guess?" "Which goes to show that drow women will stick, literally, damn near anything inside them", the imp chortles. "I mean, have some f#<king class, ladies!"

Hey Tak, we are mercs as well. Join us here. the large dwarf calls out to the room. Then whispering too loud to Telin he says Right. Unsaid. But that thing that just flew in is a devil. I don't wanna work with a devil. Geez. Devils are always takin slaves. "Souls. Not slaves" The imp corrected. "They both have the 's' sound in their name. Similar, but not really." Then in a loud whisper to match the big brute's, the evil outsider whispered, "By the way, you suck at whispering." The imp then gives the ogrekin a 'thumbs-up' gesture and a stuck-out tongue.
"Echh!" The imp said in disgust. "Demons are apart of the caper too. No wonder that gelugon didn't want to show!"
From behind the door, many of you hear the sounds of flapping wings and a struggle. Slowly the door opens, to reveal a blood red imp pushing the door as he flies. As soon as the evil outsider gets clearance from the entryway, the imp zooms around the auditorium, taking in the view of his new surroundings and the people within. After a few circuits passes, the imp finally lands a short way away from the others in the large room, resting on the back of a nearby chair.
I'd like to think the higher-ranking devil who found Yigbex who commanded the imp to attend this meeting was essentially blackmailed to attend, lest Yigbex be forced to return to Hell for reassignment.
Hmmm, this means that all the traditional "face" characters are evil. The imp smiles a wide, toothy grin.
The distant sound of flapping wings get louder. "What's up, Party People!" Yigbex came upon Sigil by accident. The imp was following a powerful wizard through a arcway, thinking the spellcaster was going to access his magnificent mansion only to find himself in The City of Doors. At first, Yigbex would have preferred the security of the Material Plane, but the imp quickly came to see the great opportunities Sigil presented, and so he stayed. And Yigbex is a Devil..so..his alignment ain't gonna shift anytime soon.
