Yeah, I don't mind finishing this one out--have Onna somehow trip and get tangled up in her own Baddie-Be-Gone repellent at the start of every combat and too distracted to think any of the puzzles through ;P

Ietsuna's taking a break from GMing as life piles up around them; we're currently considering moving this party off of PFS and into its own campaign, since the mission cycle doesn't really allow for any personal quests or whatnot.

"Terrible. Just terrible."

Hiiragi turns and stares at her wife with a quiet, furious intensity.

"And here we are without any salt," sighs Hiiragi, drawing back her arrow and letting it fly.

Bow: 1d20 + 6 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 6 + 4 = 19
Damage: 1d8 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 2 + 4 = 11

"Well, you know what they say about assumptions..." shrugs Mahtwoud, then ponders a moment.

"Or maybe you don't. I shouldn't assume."

I'm just kinda following the group at present!

Mahtwoud pats Aghurr's shoulder.

"Maybe so, but you're my gross and morally corrupt jerk who lacks empathy." She grins, teasingly,

"Onna's better at it," Hiiragi points out, "but I don't mind if you'd rather I do it. I can simply take the face of one of his guards."

"Ah, stealth," whispers Mahtwoud, eyeing the guards as much as she can in the dark hopefully they have torches??. "Our strongest suit."

Mahtwoud leans in and whispers into Mahmoud's ear.

"Oh, they're leaning into the 'unhygienic evil fat merchant' trope again. It's an old module, though, so hopefully Paizo has better writers these days."

Mahtwoud keeps pace beside his twin, rubbing at his thick mustache.

Works for me! At first glance I considered Phidoe as a better possibility than me, but then I remembered that Phidoe doesn't get fatigued as often and growing in size is actually bad for him.

Worth noting that I have Calming Touch as well, but also worth noting that I can't do that at range ;P

Hiiragi taps her chin. "Not a bad idea, Kenta. Hell, as long as you're honest with your coin, I think they won't mind you complaining about the whole institution. You can just... go in there and give them a bunch of your honest opinions."

She thinks. "Of course, that's without knowing much about the place to begin with. Onna's plan seems best, otherwise."

"I've always wondered if twin Mahmouds would be fun to play..."

Hiiragi leans toward Onna.

"Do you think we could use them as a distraction? Shine the spotlight at one door, slip in the other?"

"Hidden stock usually means illegal sources, for this sort of thing," Hiiragi sighs. "I've met farmers who do similar... but with grain, not people."

Hiiragi snorts.

"Justice requires murder as often as murderers require justice," she points out, "but we only ever give justice by our best guesswork and coincidence. We are not exactly impartial agents of karma."

She smiles, and flicks her gaze toward Onna a moment.

"I much prefer being tied to my own ideals than that of justice. My flail is freer that way."

Hiiragi Brummagem opens her mouth to speak--

"Can we see the body?"

--then closes it, satisfied.

Hiiragi looks... well, blissed out, honestly. Apparently matrimony suits her. She sinks into a chair beside Onna and sighs as she shares a cheesecake with her beloved.

"I could live just like this with you forever," she sighs dreamily.

Hiiragi giggles. "Hiirumma Bruraagigem..."

"Absolutely agreed. How about I let you pick out clothes for me this time?"

The way she grins, even in human form, you can just about feel her tail wagging behind her.

Technically speaking, Hiiragi does have a Hot Weather Outfit!

Hiiragi grins. "I have an eye for anyone whose face I've borrowed," she points out, "even if I did hide it behind a mask!"

"Same old same old for us, I think? We saved a horror town from some horrors, Onna died, we got a dog..."

Hiiragi happens to catch a glance out of the corner of her eye; it (and its twin) widens immediately, and she comes sprinting across the plaza, wife in tow.

"JUZO! How've you been!? We missed you!!"

Hiiragi--arm-in-arm with her new wife--frowns down at the letter.

"I'm just glad they waited until after the honeymoon," she says with an admittedly-dreamy sigh. "...Are we famous?"

As the guests show off for the newly-wedded couple, Hiiragi just pulls Onna close and does... honestly a lot of giddy pointing.

"Wow!"

Hiiragi squeezes Itami as tight as his brittle old man bones will allow.

”It has been so perky without you. I miss your cynicism so much, you have no idea.”

Once the two finally separate, Hiiragi (slightly breathless) giggles until Itami begins to speak.

Her heart swells to have so much of her family here. In a way, she can't help but feel like she and Itami have much in common.

"Thank you, thank you so much," she gushes. "I... all of you, it means a lot that you're here."

She can't stop holding Onna's hand.

As her wife(!!!!) closes in, Hiiragi, unable to contain herself, grabs Onna by the arms and pulls her in hard.

"Mmph..."

The kiss is decidedly un-chaste.

Hiiragi's heart is in her chest, and she can't help but take a glance at the crowd while Ikari and Phidoe are fiddling with the rings. Why am I nervous? What is there to be nervous about??? Her own hands are just as shaky as Onna's by this point; when she takes the ring, she can't help but whisper a quick prayer to her goddess that she doesn't drop it.

She reaches for Onna's hand, then crowns her finger and slides the ring back to its resting place behind the knuckle.

"Onna... with this ring, I pledge myself to you, and take you as my own--in drought and in deluge, from frost to harvest and back again. May Shelyn and Daikitsu bless us--though I wouldn't let go of you if they themselves demanded it."

"My wife, Sionnach Brummagem."

Hiiragi grins. "If we didn't both prep Prestidigitation for this morning, I'd be surprised. No one wants to have to hand-clean sake stains out of a wedding dress."

She can't help but glance at Toshiko.

Hiiragi's face only reddens deeper, and when the first tear breaks, the rest stop hesitating.

Oh, my Lady's most glorious tail fluff, she said a lot. Should I say a lot? I had something prepared, but that was a lot.

"I... oh, Daikitsu, my nose--please?" She raises a sparkling finger to her upper lip, and it's magically cleaned in an instant. "Thank you."

"Onna... you know what you mean to me, but they don't. Onna, before I met you, I hardly thought about myself." She fidgets with her own fingers. "Once I learned who I was, I thought I was done. I was a woman, I was a farmer, I was a miko, I was a helper. And when I joined the Society, I thought that's what I'd be doing still."

"But you saw me. Not just the goddess I worship, not the flail I hold, but me. And you wanted to be with me, even when the work was done. Even when it was too warm for you to have an excuse, I found you sitting close to me. And when I lost you..."

She freezes, and takes a deep breath. Her hands reach out to take Onna's, and she can't help but smile; Onna's once-soft hands have begun to develop a certain toughness.

Hiiragi recognizes it: every bit of stiff skin is from accompanying her in her duties. The miko still isn't sure whether Onna had seriously never held a hoe before, but she sure had taken her time showing her how to use one.

"I love you, Onna. I promise I'll never make you feel like you aren't welcome just as you are, whether that's in our home or in my heart."

She quivers, and turns an eye toward Ikari.

"I sent him an invite, too, actually," giggles Hiiragi, "but I suppose he wouldn't remember meeting me."

She hides her impish smile behind her sleeve. "I don't recall your first words to me... but I do remember your smile."

The muscular Hiiragi stands at Onna's destination; her usual shrine maiden attire is replaced with a snow-white shiromuku, and her face is more bare than any but Onna have likely seen it.

Every other day she is a priestess of Daikitsu; today, she is Hiiragi, the farmer's daughter, marrying the love of her life.

Her makeup would have ran, anyway, with how glossy her eyes already are.

"Phew!" Hiiragi says once they're out of earshot. "It almost felt like we were there for a whole year!"

"The one with the tentacle mushrooms? I... no thank you. I'm thinking something a little closer to home."

"Didn't want to give him anything he'd enjoy," shrugs Hiiragi. "I happen to know for a fact that this one likes being bound and gagged."

Hiiragi retches, still on her feet but doubled over despite it. "Where's Ke--? Ah, there." She points to the paladin--the more traditional of the two, anyway--as he approaches, and happily helps him bind and gag the man.

"Back to the quest-giver, I suppose," says Hiiragi.

"Let's get him out of here and figure the rest out later," says the practical 'Ragi. "Hopefully the locals will agree that he ought to get his neck lengthened," she whispers to Onna.

Big valid! But just as a reminder, Kenta and Phidoe may be Lawful Good... but Hiiragi is Neutral. Not even Neutral Good, like you, just straight-up Neutral ;D If the aberration thing managed to get away from us, Hiiragi was going to shout at Onna to kill Feet ASAP.

You may be presuming a little too much there, Onna! In Hiiragi's mind, it's "kill him now" or "squeeze him for information, then sentence him to death." ;P

My Move action is probably gonna be returning to Onna and Feet. If we want to save him and not just let the room finish the job, I imagine Hiiragi's gonna be better at carrying him than Onna.

Reflex: 1d20 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (9) + 3 - 2 = 10

Hiiragi grunts; assuming Kenta either killed it or didn't KO it, she raises her flail.

"D--ugh--DIE ALREADY!"

Smash: 1d20 + 8 - 2 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 8 - 2 + 3 = 20
Damage: 2d8 + 7 - 2 + 3 ⇒ (6, 7) + 7 - 2 + 3 = 21

Oooogh 20 is solid but I don't know if it's solid enough but golly I hope it is!

Reflex Save: 1d20 + 3 - 1 ⇒ (3) + 3 - 1 = 5

"Ow!" grumbles Hiiragi as she's blasted with a stone. It doesn't hit hard, thanks to the armor, but still enough to rock her.

"Right, then--"

Hiiragi grabs her flail, grows in size, GROWLS like a mother fox defending her den, and slams:

SMASH: 1d20 + 8 - 2 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 8 - 2 + 3 = 15
Damage: 2d8 + 7 - 2 + 3 ⇒ (3, 2) + 7 - 2 + 3 = 13

"Doing what I can, sweetie!" Hiiragi shouts back.

Reflex: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21

"Honestly, that's only, like... half as gross as I expected."

I'm gonna do whatever I need to do to cast Invisibility Purge. If I can do it this turn, great, if not, that's what I'm doing next!

Whatever's needed:

Acrobatics: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (13) - 1 = 12
Climb: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11

I'm decidedly lacking in feats that let me shoot from a ladder... but I could throw an Enlarge at Kenta from there. Hmm hmm hmm.

Is there any direction in which I can move 4 spaces and see Kenta? If not, how about 8?

Yeah, I think Onna's best with the dust. Hiiragi's not a primary damage dealer--the potion would be better either in Phidoe's paws or with Hiiragi holding onto it for his sake.

Hoping that Kenta's right, Hiiragi shoots an arrow in that direction:
