Earlier as Ameiko passed out. Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20 Sister! Hideo cried rushing to Amieko. Ever since the Caravan got closer and closer to the Brinewall ruins Hideo had been able to tell that something had been troubling her. She had talked less then usual, and she seemed to be constantly restless. Hideo had approached her several times, but each time he was turned away from her, saying that it was nothing and she was just anxious to find out what was hidden at the castle. Then as he watched his sister collapse. Hideo was stricken with fear and concern. She might have always been over protective but that didn't mean that he didn't love her. Crouching by her side Hideo lifted up Ameiko and dragged over to the caravan to lay her on something soft. Hideo listened as the others discussed their actions and watched with jeliously as Sunny talked quietly with Shalelu. Finally assured that she would be alright and her friends would look over her, he turned as Nicat asked if Hideo wanted to stay. No, Nicat, I don't know what is inside of that castle, but I think that Ameiko would want one of the Kaijitus family there when it was found. Let me just collect my things and get ready to go. Turning back to his sister, Hideo watched with concern as Koya began examining her, checking her head for bruises and looking into her half lidded eyes. Moving to the wagon, Hideo collected his gear before he quietly approached Shalelu. As he neared her he gave her a hesitant smile and a nod as if he could handle things before he made ready to depart with the rest of the group. @Teller - Lets hand wave the caravan rules. It sounds very boring. @Nicat - I added the 465 GP, that's good enough for me. If everyone else wants to add in a wand we could do that. I'm not planning to buy anything. I want to save my gold to either enchant my armor, or eventually get a Scabbard of Vigor

Putting a hand on Nicat's shoulder Hideo gives a decisive nod. I know you will buddy. He states while he listens to the discussion of what to do next. You know.. before the cave, I would have suggested we go back and deal with the goblins. But if my sister is in danger she needs to know about that. The camp was devastated, and Gorag scared the hell out of them.. If they act up, we can always go back.

Hands shaking at the mention of his family name Hideo holds up the tattered and age-worn note up to the light. Rokuro.. that.. that was my grandfathers name. Hideo begins, eyes aflame as he reads over the note. My father Lonjiku spoke of him once.. Father.. well after what happened with Atsuii he drank a lot. He only mentioned Rokuro once. Eyes looking far into the shadows. Hideo shrugs in though. Ameiko or Tsuto never spoke of why father left Minkai as a child. To be honest, I'm not sure they even knew. All of this is deeply troubling however. Someone was after my family, and if this letter is true, then something from my families heritage is hidden under the old Brinewall ruins. I think.. we need to go show this to Ameiko. Carefully rolling up the rice paper scroll, Hideo delicately slips it back into the ivory tube before stowing it into his belt pouch. Eyes running over the remaining spoils recovered from within the chest Hideo watches as Nicat swings the Wakizashi around with an unbelievable speed. All of this may have once belonged to my family, but without all of you I doubt I would have ever found it. Take what you will. The young samurai states while reaching down and grasping out of the pile a beautiful red and gold enameled amulet, depicting a cherry blossoms falling in the wind. Picking it up he feels the weight of it, and giving a small smile places it around his neck. I guess there's a lot that father never told us. Hideo thinks to himself. After everything that's happened in my family, it's nice to catch a break for once.

Super busy today, so I don't won't be able to make a long post until tonight. If you write a post, assume that I saw the letter inside of the Wakizashi and was shocked as it implied something to my background. I would rather keep using my fathers heirloom Katana, Nicat should take the +1 Wakizashi of speed and the Masterwork Cold Iron one. I woulden't mind the Amulet of Natural Armor + 1, and eventually getting enough gold together to enchant my Katana to be a +1, but that's long term.

I gotta say, this is a ton of gear for 3rd level characters. Each of us should have 3,000-3,500 gp in gear per person. Each of us started out with 1,000. Just from this fight we are looking at 40,000 gp (est.) Split among each player that's 6,660gp. Don't get me wrong, I like treasure as much as the next player, but a +4 weapon at level 3 leaves nothing to look forward to.

(Combat, Performance) Your skill with your weapon is obvious to enemies and onlookers alike. Prerequisite: Dazzling Display. Benefit: When you spend a swift action to make a performance check, you exude an aura of awe-inspiring skill. You gain a +2 bonus on your performance check, and gain a +2 bonus on all attack rolls and combat maneuver checks until the end of your next turn. Basically my plan at level 5 is to take Performing Combatant. So this turns all of my combats into performance combats for the purposes of debuffing foes and giving the group as a whole bonus's. It will stack with my demoralize, potentially giving all of our enemys a -4 penalty on all attack rolls, combat maneuver checks, ability checks, skill checks, and saving throws, while giving the group a +2 morale bonus on all attack rolls, combat maneuver checks, ability checks, skill checks, and saving throws, and Hideo an additional +2 on all attack rolls. Quickly withdrawing it, he gives the blade a flick of his wrist and rivulets of water arc off the blade and back into the pool. Then kneeling at the waters side he withdraws from his bag a old piece of horse blanket. Carefully he wipes off any remaining moisture from the blade. There wasn't much resistance from the creature, so thankfully no damage to the blade. Hideo thinks to himself after a close inspection. Satisfied, Hideo sheaths the Katana before trudging upto Gorag, Hideo kneels down to give him a hand, only to watch as the elderly half-orc rips the crystals from the ground, with ease. Why am I even here? Hideo thinks to himself. Everyone can do such amazing things... Cerana and Zeema can call upon magic, Gorag can grow to twelve feet tall, Alora has the power of her god. It's like me and Nicat are the only "normal" ones here. Even Sunny seems touched... not sure by what, but something. Unconsciously rubbing the scar on his arm from where he was attacked with a dogslicer as a boy, he grimaces. I wish Shalelu had been here, she would have understood... Stalking ahead of the group and trying to clear his head, Hideo skids to a stop. Hey! Look here. Hideo calls pointing to several tracks in the muddy trail. There's some tracks here. They.. they look like they are from foot-bones, quiet a few too.. must be six or seven of them. I guess the goblin wasn't lying after-all. Taking the lead again Hideo slowly moves forward, following the tracks until he reaches a rocky cliff. As the tracks move from the mud to the stone, Hideo curses. Well, they came this way, but I lost the tracks over the rock. There's that cave over there though, so that must be where they went. Tightening several straps and resetting his armor, Hideo eases his fathers katana halfway out of the scabbard before easing the blade back. I'll take the lead, but it looks dark in there. I won't push against the will of the group. That said, we came into the swamp to find those responsible for the attacks on the village. In the course of this we found that they had attacked by undead. The fact that there are undead somewhere in the swamp doesn't lessen the fact that the goblins attacked Sandpoint. Ethically we need to bring the boss to justice, either though death or capture. The undead, while troubling have not harmed Sandpoint, the goblins have. I guess we could vote on it? As Hideo reaches the door to the largest hut, he whispers toward their elven companion. I thought every elf despised goblins. They are a blight on nature and civilization. I know Shalelu hate them. And if I'm being honest, well so do I. Shaking his head in confusion he continues. Cerana, you don't need to worry much about diplomacy when it comes to goblins. Just poke them a bit when a sharp stick and they will talk. They are cowards the lot of them. But I'm not willing to let them go. They attacked Sandpoint! No matter how pathetic the attack, it was still an attack. If you want to interrogate one, then fine. But I'm not allowing even one to go free. Besides, you have lived in Sandpoint for years. You must remember when the horde of goblins attacked us shortly after the dedication of the Sandpoint Cathedral. They can't be trusted. No, what we need to do is give a strong show of strength. Once the Licktoads are wiped out, the rest of the tribes will give the "long-shanks" a wide berth... at least for a few years. Feeling the wood grain, and the sanded ridges of the enameled scabbard, it gives him a sense or reassurance. He might have been playing once upon a time, but this was real. Anyway, I did kill the thing... I guess you should come down now. Maybe you can explain what happened.
