Thinking I'll let the kobolds take some poor shots first rather then pincushion Hellewen. Plus maybe next turn she can pull the boomerang back in some fancy way ... :) (It's a single action to do that now, so move move then pull hopefully!)

Hellewen notes the vast amount of kobolds arrayed against her and promptly dives back for cover. But she leaves a parting gift for one of the kobolds. And maybe it'd come in handy next turn ... >Gather Air, >>Boomerang! (+15' move from Air Junction) DC 16 reflex vs 2d4 slashing. And left the boomerang spinning in the kobols square (path is marked by a line)

"Careful, there's plenty of high ground. Might be a shooting gallery if we aren't careful. But at least we could leave." Hellewen expects the kobolds to pop up at any moment now and start pelting them with things. Just insults if they were lucky ...

@Trap/Team - do we actually care enough about this to spend say an hour breaking it remotely? Or should we just advance and hope the trap is less deadly/likely to trigger then whatever shenanigans the kobolds can cook up.

<.< Would still prefer to not think about it :p --- So, going some napkin math. 1/6 attacks do 1 point of damage (need to roll that 6). 15 successful attacks needed. A round is still uh 6 seconds I hope? 6*15*6 -> about 10m per pillar. Assuming generously that all attacks hit. If not it'll take about x3 the time. For one pillar. So... We down for this? Anyone got a bigger cantrip or something to help with? Or perhaps just risk the biscuit.

I was in fact not reading the reply soon enough :p Suppose AC might actually matter a lot with how crits work in 2e? Rolling and hoping then :) To Hit!: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13 Damage?: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 Hellewens eyes narrowed. Welp. That was embarrassing. Buuuuut the actual vulnerable bit was so small ... It was actually a hard target! Promise! ...Assuming nothing terrible happens, Hellewen will try again. To Hit!: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11 Damage?: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 "...It is definitely cursed ..." she grumbles again. Just try and try again? :p

"Smashing those pillars then, if we want to break it?" Hellewen recalls that had been mentioned as a solution to the problem just a few moments ago. Preferably from out of range of the trap ... She conjured a lash of wind and smacked the nearest pillar. "Let's see if this works then?" Not sure how murdering objects work in 2e. In 1e, stone didn't have that much hardness... But hellewens blasts only do 1d6+3 (slashing or electric) which might be too little

"Oh. Hmm. Good eyes." Hellewen was curious as to how the trap would actually work, but not curious enough to trigger it. "I agree with Rik'tik. Let's not poke it; we can just proceed. And make a note to not flee into it..." As she speaks she looks around for and attempts to scoop up Pfil - before their tiny friend tries to fight the statue too.

Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18 Hellewen carefully enters the room and looks around, adopting a quick fighting stance. It *looked* like something had happened here all right. And given her previous experience with strange waters, she wasn't all too keen to take a sip. "What's the odds of there being *two* cursed fountains in one place?" she grumbles at no-one in particular. "This one looks more like a wishing well though."

Uh oh. UH OH! ... Though things seems to work out - all limbs remained attached to the fairy and after Rik's potion she seems alive. *Could* be worse. "...A little. Glad you are with us still, in one piece." Hellewen deflates.

There might be something like a "default monster ability DC" that you are magically supposed to know? Or hidden somewhere on the sheet. Like how it was 10+con+hd/2 for most of 1e or how we now have Class DC as a stat.
Status: | HP 17/17 | AC 18 | Fort +8 Ref +8 Will +3 | Perception 3; Low-light & Darkvision
I don't think we'd level off it, unless the numbers have changed drastically in 2e, so let's hold off on it :) "Too hurried to hide to trap; or an extra step ahead on the distractions?" Hellewen muses as she spots the trap. And the mermaid? This place sure had stories to tell. Later though. She kept the weaponized wind about and ready as long as she could. But it was a fickle element, not liable to stick around without reasons to do so. "Maybe we can toss the table over it?"

New and strange things in 2e! Stride is just a ">" action isn't it? So one could stride 3 times! ... Unless of course controlling an animal companion costs an ">" which does sound pretty reasonable. Still, just in case someone else is also amazed by this new and shiny thing :D
Status: | HP 17/17 | AC 18 | Fort +8 Ref +8 Will +3 | Perception 3; Low-light & Darkvision
Well, for starters, I don't think we can see the 2nd floor so things like "barricade room" and "fountain room" doesn't quite make sense yet :p And I think Hellewen can reach the kobold with a double move then stab but not a single move + half move. If I'm wrong about that, please add +3 to the damage roll should she hit :) Hellewen races across the room to slap the kobold with lightning before it manages to prepare any more nasty surprises. To Hit: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19 Damage?: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Status: | HP 17/17 | AC 18 | Fort +8 Ref +8 Will +3 | Perception 3; Low-light & Darkvision
Hellewen dashes into the room gathering a small whirlwind as she goes. With a sweeping gesture and burst of concentration she lets the wind lash out at [Boss Kobold]. Winds take you! Actions: > to move. > to gather Element + Elemental Blast > Elemental Blast To hit!: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 Damage?: 1d6 ⇒ 6 To hit!: 1d20 + 6 - 5 ⇒ (14) + 6 - 5 = 15 Damage?: 1d6 ⇒ 4

Hellewen leaned closer to inspect the thing. Not that she had much to go on, this was far from her area of expertise. But the thing was intriguing nevertheless. "Perhaps the artisan commissioned was merely inspired?" She considered poking the thing but decided that she liked her fingers. "It is connected to the chest though. Could be one obvious trap. Or other safeguard." Then lastly it was the rays of light and the tiny holes. Which hopefully weren't poisoned dart dispensers because Hellewen was about to put her eyeballs in their line of fire. "Wonder what this is ..."

Hellewen felt it might be unwise to test the divine further and takes a step away from Pfil. Just in case there was a bolt of lightning incoming. With a quick glance to the ceiling she voices something else that's come across her mind. "A shrine to one god can be a coincidence. Two, now that's a temple." She pauses and winces a little. "Or someone knee-deep in manure..."
Status: | HP 17/17 | AC 18 | Fort +8 Ref +8 Will +3 | Perception 3; Low-light & Darkvision
"Hmm. That'll no doubt alert the kobolds, if they already hadn't figured out something was up." Hellewen feels a bit hesitant about that prospect. But she also didn't want the ceiling dropped on her head. Decisions decisions.
Status: | HP 17/17 | AC 18 | Fort +8 Ref +8 Will +3 | Perception 3; Low-light & Darkvision
I think our --- Magical Shortsword! Who wants to magically stab people? Hellewen does not have proficiency for such an advanced piece of technology. And she kinda has tricks to bypass DR now anyhow :)
Status: | HP 17/17 | AC 18 | Fort +8 Ref +8 Will +3 | Perception 3; Low-light & Darkvision
"M-maybe fate isn't so ill after all." Hellewen forces a smile, slightly undermined by the greenish tint of her face. Looked like Pfil would have some good memories of this room after all! Leaning down she offers to pick up whatever needed carrying. "And no, so far we're unpossessed. Just some ... 'blessed' water and the humor of the divine."
Status: | HP 17/17 | AC 18 | Fort +8 Ref +8 Will +3 | Perception 3; Low-light & Darkvision
Hellewen looks around at her companions. "O-onwards then?" And where did that poor sprite go? She felt a brief pang of panic - maybe she had accidentally drowned her unlucky friend in vomit - but she would have heard the complaints then. Right?!
Status: | HP 17/17 | AC 18 | Fort +8 Ref +8 Will +3 | Perception 3; Low-light & Darkvision
"Hueghh..." Hellewen finishes her business as best as she can. She appreciates the few moments to collect herself - even if it only seems to help a little. Much paler then earlier and with a sickly sheen she tries to make light of the situation. "I-if adventuring doesn't work out, we can make our fortune in budget healing potions. H-hah." she closes her eyes. Tragedy and distance. Tragedy and distance. Eww... "Y-yeah. If this was a blessing - I would not want to invoke a curse." Let's take Eser's advice on desecration for now. The tengu seemed more in tune with the gods, so better stick with her.
