I have to update Haruk(and lower his level) to your rules, but yes, he is mostly finished. I'll be working on that tonight.

Focus: Cha
Foible: Str

1d10 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

1d10 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

1d10 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

1d10 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

Dang, those kinda suck. That's a 14 point buy, not including the 18 & 8....

Before I roll for stats, important question:

Are our stats locked into the order rolled? Ie, Str, Dex, Con, Int, Wis, Cha? Or are we allowed to move the rolled stats around?

Diabolic! Sadly, there's no way to hyperlink to that portion of the entry.

A big part of Haruk's concept is to unlock his infernal heritage more and more. Hence why the GM helped me with the custom PrC.

He's very much built as a face currently, but if that role is covered by another PC, I could switch around his feats/spell choices.

I would *dearly* love to play in a WotW, as I have tried for many years to complete this AP(Currently in a game now here on the boards, but our GM is MIA atm possibly due to Covid).

Haruk got all the way to I think the middle of book two or maybe three, but as long as you don't mind a player with some experience, I don't care if I repeat a ton of stuff.

I saw that some 3pp is possibly allowed, so curious if I could make him a Legendary Sorcerer?

My GM worked with me to create an Infernal Disciple PrC that was basically a devilish version of Dragon Disciple. Sadly, I think I lost access to it, but it basically took aspects of the DD and added parts of the Devilbound template(Pit Fiend), so I think that's likely the template I'll take.

As for gestalt, I think maybe the Occultist archetype for the Arcanist fits his concept nicely!

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

Are we waiting on anything in specific here?

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

Fang, we kinda have a bit of predicament with Sari leaving when they did.

Since we're about to go on an important mission she was supposed to be a part of, would it be okay if we bot her? Perhaps Black Dow can run her for the mission? Or Doomed Hero, since Xanos isn't coming with?

Also, my suggestion for what to do with her is either leave her in the town after our mission is done or leave her in the Horn after we return.

This way, if Nikolaus is ever able to return, Sari is still around and can be teleported to us. Which I realize may be highly unlikely, but I hate to fully close that door.

The only other real option I see is have Sari be a traitor as well, but that means we'll have to kill her. Which, while isn't necessarily a bad thing means there's zero chance for her to possibly be played again.

Also, with Sari's departure, we're down to 5 PCs, if Molasbar is still with us. If not, we're down to 4.

Do we want to look for a replacement? I might know a few people who can jump in.

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

Ah, yes, I knew I forgot something. I believe we plan on contacting both Tiadora and the Cardinal, but we wanted to gather more info on the the betrayal first.

Is anybody capable of casting Speak with Dead? Can we try and ask one of the dead 'heroes' how they were to meet with Elise should they have been successful? Or is there a likely tavern/other obvious meeting spot we can go to? Since we're gonna pose as members of the good guys, we should try and pull of going to where they would have met Elise.

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

The sorcerer nods and smiles back "Even better, as that will grant us an even bigger element of surprise. The sudden appearance of Golgotha should cause quite the panic among our foes."

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

"Okay, Xanos will sculpt their corpses to look like ours, and Al and I will pose as sorcerer and barbarian. Meanwhile, Sariana can follow us stealthily. There's four of them, but we really only need Elise. Perhaps we can find away to isolate her. We can always deal with the others later." Haruk pauses, thinking a moment.

"Would it be possible to also disguise Albrέkt dread mount? It might be helpful to have it with us."

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

"We want information first my friend. I would like to know why they have broken their scared pact with the King of Hell. I also want to know if they have any other schemes to ruin all of our hard work. Then too, there's a chance others work against us, unknown to ourselves, but perhaps in league with the 7th knot. We can't learn any of this if they're all dead." He pauses, thinking for a moment and flashing a grin at Xanos "Well, I suppose we could talk to them if they are dead. But, it might be easier with them alive."

I'll take the +2 dagger. Haruk doesn't fight much(obviously), but that can be thrown as well as used in melee, so that's a good benefit.

Xanos Doom wrote:

Probably not, actually.

I can't raise undead with class levels until 9th level. If I raised the adventurers now they'd all be 1HD skeletons or zombies.

I'm definitely keeping the corpses for later though.

I never said you would do it right now just that you would likely want to, and thus need accurate numbers, lol

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

Adding to Umurn's above question about gear, from both this most recent group and any others, how many total adventures have attempted to assault the Horn??

Because I imagine that our necromancer brother would like to have raised several(all) of them as undead.

Also, any chance Haruk could have recruited a few of them to our side? He does enjoy making the good guys fall after all.

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

"My ferocious friend, this plan is currently only an information gathering mission. I am taking our vampiric brethren in case it turns into something more. That is not my intention, *yet*. Fear not, when it comes time for their death, you will get your fill of their flesh."

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

Are we definitely leveling up here? If so, I missed Fang saying so.

Haruk chuckles "And they say you're the dumb one of our group Al. That's actually a genius plan. Would you like to come with me, taking on the form of one of their warriors? Your 'sister' could also accompany us, in her alternate form. This way, we should have plenty of backup should things go wrong."

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

Haruk is also vexed at their betrayal, but likewise cautions Xanos. "Perhaps it might be best to find out some information before we going summoning our benefactor. I could disguise myself, and see if I can figure out who this 'angel' is, and maybe learn about bit more about why 'Z' wanted us dead in the first place."

Do we know who Z is? And do we have a likely identity of the dark haired human who pretended to be an angel?

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

I too am okay with this :)

To be honest I'm not particularly enjoying this adventure and kinda losing interest.

All of Way of the Wicked, or just this particular aspect? This part seems to be incredibly tedious, so that's understandable.

If you're losing interest in WotW itself, that would be most unfortunate, as I'm loving this group and Haruk. If you're not having fun however, there's not much we can do about it.

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

Yeah, I'm okay with skipping ahead to the ambush as well.

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

Posting to all my games: I leave tomorrow to work Baltimore Comic Con this weekend.

I will have my laptop and phone with me so I can keep up to date, but I am hoping that since it's a lot less of an insane convention than NYCC, I will be able to get some posting done.

If I am unable to post, I will return next Mon(the 21st), but may be overly tired due to travel and might not be able to post till Tues.

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

Haruk opts to remain in the observation room with the wraiths, watching for the time being.

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

I agree with Xanos' plan, save that perhaps either Haruk disguised as a woman or Rafaela could greet them at the door, to distract and potentially waylay Tasker. We could also try and draw Posca away and tempt his greed.

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

I would be okay with being more proactive, but I'm not sure we can fully skip to the ritual, as I believe there are some events that might occur at the Temple that we need to deal with.

Aside from that, yeah, I'm okay with some skipping and the other suggestions.

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

Fang, are we only able to send our cohorts on missions? If so, that means only Grumblejack and Lefty are available, aside from any PCs who want to undertake missions. However, any PC that does so is locked up for a week completing them.

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

I'm up for one.

Okay, so for week two, any other missions for the minions? This is the actions list

Also, dumb question, but the thrones can just be sat on normally right?

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

We have two weeks worth of down time for us to send our minions out on missions, right? I believe we assigned missions for the last week, but I never rolled for their success.

In regards to what the Lyre of Building can create, can we supply the materials from the surrounding area for traps and other game mechanic creations? Do we need to supplement this with coin at all?

<throws Holy water on the vampires.> Hush. You can't even go outside during the day. Simmer down.

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

Had a revelation storm last night, and have some questions:

Fang, we talked about using rituals to summon minor outsiders. What's the CR limit for what we can summon? I'm thinking probably around 3, maybe 4? I would like Haruk and Umurn to begin summoning forth some minions. I would think they would only last 24hrs.

Xanos, who is your cohort? I'm guessing one of your main hands? Would you be okay with them doing some of the org missions, around the Horn? Keep in mind, they could *potentially* die.

What do you guys think about Haruk dominating Marta via Dominate Person, and having her go back to town with the intent that she leads another group of adventures into an ambush, either at the Horn, or nearby?

I would need a scroll of Dom Person, but hopefully our crafty bois can make me one.

Regarding party loot, I wouldn't mind keeping track of it all, as I've done it for several of my IRL games. I would need the current total party amount, as well as how much each PC should have. Plus any items we haven't sold.

Fang, I can't remember if we talked about this before, but can the Lyre of Building be used to build traps within the Horn?

Finally, any suggestions on what missions I should sent the minions on this week?

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

Ugh, I want a wand of Glibness, but unholy heck, 15k+ gold is a lot!

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

Was thinking maybe Haruk could inform the Sisters of a rough general location of Marta's corpse? Something vague enough to keep them busy, but enough detail to collect the reward?

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

Great way to show acceptance to the new player/PC :P lol

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

Haruk chuckles at the mention of sparring. "Ah, I am not exactly suitable to such activities. However, I'll gladly take bets."

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

Nope. I think Xanos and I joined up roughly around the same time, during the assault on the keep, right before the army(bugbears maybe?) invade.

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

The second human's skin is tinged a dark red, and a top portion of the King of Hell's symbol is visible through the top of his shirt. It appears to have burned/etched into his flesh. His eyes are distressingly black and two small horns stick up through his dark hair.

"Greetings and well met. If you are indeed who you claim to be, it will be good to have another follower of Asmodeus, to keep the blood suckers off balance." He says, flashing the vampires a grin.

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12 Sense Motive, ya know, just in case. Ya can't be too careful these days, lol

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

Sorry, the last 4-5 days have been crazy busy around my house, as my mom and I have tackled my grandmother's large property, trying to kick into some sort of reasonable shape. Grammy is 95, so she doesn't get out to work around the yard any more. Until my mom moved up here last summer, it was just me for a couple of years keeping things looking 'nice', but now we're going full tilt.

I'll get a IG post up shortly.

Also, we have two options for brain:

1) We could use the bard or brawler. If that's our decision, I would suggest the bard, who seems less likely to betray us. I actually plan on working over James during our down time.

2) I believe we could use an org action to get a brain, thus keeping our two named and classed captives alive.

I would prefer this method, as I feel like killing off James and the bard might be a waste.

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

Feel free to add suggestions or veto mine, but here's what I'm thinking for Org actions:

Albrέkt can torture our new prisoner, the young lady who didn't seem overly eager to join us.

If he's successful, he can have 3 questions answered.

Trap building/repair is always a good option.

Fang, would it be at all possible to somehow *upgrade* existing traps, to make them more effective?

Finally, perhaps we can spread some disinformation? Maybe about the adventuring party that just attempted to raid us?

*************

I'm not saying we should do all 4 of these, this week, just that these are the actions we *could* do this week, and perhaps next.

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

Perhaps not size,

But sheer numbers...

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

I feel in the battle of fangs, the werewolf beats out the vampire, lol

I always thought your use of villain points was specific to Albrέkt, cuz if there's any PC who such would make sense for, it would be the Vampanizer, lol.

Had no idea every PC got them!

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

We get villain points? I somehow missed that, lol

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

Infernal:
"We are the masters of this temple. We have undead, almost invisible, watchers. Minions aplenty. We are in control here. If they attempt to betray us, we will crush them, and feed them to the vampires."

Haruk ignores the half-elf's words, focusing his attention on the brawler. "James, you seem like a reasonable fellow. I see no reason to needlessly kill you. If you swear fealty to us, not only will I let you live, you can take whatever loot you want from your fallen allies for yourself. I'll also pay you a weekly stipend. Does that sound agreeable?" 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32 Diplomacy

Once he gets James' reply, he turns his dread gaze to the young lady. "Listen, there's no need to be foolish. You've lost, it happens. The next move is yours. You can also swear fealty to us, or I can feed you to my hulking vampiric friend whose currently dragging away the bodies of your fallen. I'm sure he's quite hungry." Haruk fingers flash rapidly at Albrέkt. 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (1) + 18 = 19 Bluff to pass a secret message. Simple message success, it's automatically understood Be scary

Going to hope at the mention of food, and that Haruk is talking about him, Al turns around to see Haruk asking him to intimidate Bianca. Like, an actual skill check, lol

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

"Honestly, I say whichever ones desire to jump ship in order to live should be allowed to do so. However, I admittedly have a bit of a soft spot for causing others to fall from grace." Haruk says, flashing the monk a matching grin.

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

I asked in a FB group I'm in, and the sole response is that there's no rules for playing a werewolf in the AP.

As I assume Fang has the books, perhaps he can shed some light for us.

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

It's at this point that Haruk makes his way down into the catacombs, and joins up with his companions. "If treasure and loot are what drives you, I believe we might be able to reach some sort of working agreement." The silver tongued devilish sorcerer offers. 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31 Diplomacy

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

Real nice, ya'll leaving me behind...
