Haar looks to Delphyene and the pair seem to himhaw on something. Dephlyene grumbles unintelligble and Haar gives quick hand motions. Finally they both shrugged. "We'll back you up, I am better with a bow and she's too small to hold them off for long but..." Delphyene chirps in. "Together we pack a punch!"
Male Human ~Ovis Native~ Dragon Tamer 1
Haar looks to the others and reiterates their plans. "Well said Astrid. Now everyone. Remember what we discussed, we will let the dead take the brunt of their attention and we will open up with ranged weapons, kill the officers first and then we take out the lower ranks." Looking to his companions. "We need to kill the Templar and her guards, Ezekial I believe you will be key in this. Delphyene and I will focus and keeping as many of them off of you as possible. Do not hesitate, none of them leave the field today. Any questions?"
Male Human ~Ovis Native~ Dragon Tamer 1
Narkus's tone made Haar raid an eyebrow in surprise but he wasn't surprised that this moment of power was going to the dark mages head. Tarias comment allowed him to remain quiet and Ezekials speech to Astrid made him crack a small smile. They were an interesting bunch to say the least. "It is good you all arrived! So I will fill you in on what we learned so far..." Reiterate what was discussed above. ;)

Delphyene glares at Haar who turns away, resting his chin in hand as he says. "I'm not quite sure how to respond to that. I'm glad you all survived the ordeal." He chuckles quietly as Delphyene whips him we her tail, smacking him in the cheek. "Don't laugh. You could heal him too you know..." Haar stroked the underside of Delphyenes chin. "Sure could but I don't think he wants me to." Delphyene huffs, blowing a frosty breath at Haar's face as she mutters. "Males..." She sighs and shakes her head. I believe we have a day and a half as only one day should have passed so far and the operation was beginning in 2-3 days. Or am I getting the time mixed up?
Male Human ~Ovis Native~ Dragon Tamer 1
You gain your 1 hp per character level per day through natural healing. So your up 1 hp since you slept one night. :) Haar nods to his companions and then to Titus. "Apologies for not warning you. But these are the reinforcements, hence why we send them in first." Seeing Ezekias's battered state Haar grimaces. "How many had to be destroyed to succeed?"
Male Human ~Ovis Native~ Dragon Tamer 1
Haar considered for a long moment. He had thought of traps but then it would be too obvious, they were trying to make it appear as if undead overran the caravan. If a well used road had traps on it they would just as likely harm travelers as they would the soldiers coming their way. "If we had a horse I would say setup a spear trap and kill the lead horse. But this can be accomplished with an archer just as easily. Then they couldn't gain momentum, they'd be forced to abandon the wagons or fight. however Without a replacement, killing the lead horse would be problematic." He shrugged his shoulders at a lose as to what tactic could further their odds, they had to rely on Narkus's ability to control the dead.
Male Human ~Ovis Native~ Dragon Tamer 1
Haar nods at Titus. "Remember we have to let the reinforcements hit first. We're going to strike after they are committed to facing them. Take them by surprise and plow them under. However, if things turn grim, regroup with us or fall back. I don't want lives lost for no reason." Now they had to play the waiting game. Which Haar didn't like, they needed to find ways to trap the roadway or alchemical goods...
Male Human ~Ovis Native~ Dragon Tamer 1
Haar considered the responses he received and then shrugged his shoulders as he responded bluntly. "If she is so dangerous we focus our efforts in killing her and her troops first." Delphyene looked at Haar for a moment, the coldness in his voice surprised her. "Seriously, do you want this mission to succeed? If not then go home now." He was being stern but this was a serious mission they were on, they could ill afford to hesitate just because of a few extra enemy fighters. Haar/Delphyene:
:Calm down Haar... Revenge won't...: :Revenge? This isn't about that at all. I've given more then any other Delphyene, I won't lose again. This is War, soldiers die and we can ill afford to hesitate during the first strike. Or it will set the tone for the rest of the revolution. Which will die in it's infancy because we were too cowardly to act...:
diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21 Considering it was settled he pressed forward. "With our extra reinforcements we can still proceed as planned. Your group is attacking the rear correct? And we are striking from the front. Our extras can pin them in from the side. A Pincer Assualt if you will, except the will have one flank open. I say we let the extra's draw their attention and focus our initial strikes on the officers and more dangerous targets."
Male Human ~Ovis Native~ Dragon Tamer 1
Haar looked to Tarias and grimaced at the thought of these reinforcements. The news of the Templar being a part of the shipment was also concerning as well. Delphyene tensed acrossed his shoulders as she sensed his mood, he turned to look at their new companion's as he asked. "Do we have any information on who this Templar is?"
Male Human ~Ovis Native~ Dragon Tamer 1
Haar spreads his hands in an open nonthreatening way as he speaks. "I see Heldon didn't allow you any horses either. At least he gave me this washcloth." Delphyene wrinkles her nose in distaste as he indicates the headband jokingly before he continues. "This is Sage Tarias, Lady Astrid, my companion Delphyene..." The small silver dragon nods her head just before he bows ever so slightly. ... and I am Haar.:" Delphyene snorts. "The smelly Brigand..." Haar shushes her quietly but smiles ever so slightly at her continued hatred for his disguise. Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20

Haar runs a hand gently over Delphyene's scales. Scratching her weak points and smiling at her twitching and low growl in response. "It's a very fulfilling duty, like any other that involves training and teaching others. Besides she makes great company as do all of you." With that he does his watch duty with Delphyene curled up alongside him. He paces around the camp quietly, keeping the small fire lit and at his back to preserve his night vision. When it's time he gently wakes Tarias and tries to atch a few hours of sleep . Perception Haar: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23 Perception Delphyene - Darkvision and Scent: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18

Haar watches the hut move away and smiles ever so slightly. "I think we made a friend. Thanks Tarius, without your insight I probably wouldn't have been of much interest to her. I will take first watch, I will wake whoever wants to be next." He leads the way back to their camp and looks over his shield, chuckling when Delphyene gives it a lick and tilts her head curiously. "It IS made of chocolate... How strange..."
Male Human ~Ovis Native~ Dragon Tamer 1
Sensing he may have asked far too many questions and visibly knocked off kilter for a moment by Deneb's polite comment. Haar refocuses and comes back to his normal self, much to the disappointment of his scaled companion. After perusing the weapons and politely dropping the question as to who, what and why Deneb had such strange servants he focused on what Astrid had said. "Treating a Lady well is the noble thing to do, even if they wrong or shame you. However you have been a wonderful host and no amount of praise could reflect how well we have been treated tonight. You have a beautiful collection and when we meet again I hope to be able to purchase something from your magnificent shop Lady Deneb." His features were a little harder than before, for a long moment the old Haar had returned. Vibrant and noble, friendly and warm. However fresh memories stirred the pain in his heart and glinted in his lone eye, reminding him of what he had to do still. "My companion is correct as we will need to be on our way and I am sure you will need to be as well soon." He approached Deneb and gave her a courtesy bow. "Until the chance of our next meeting Lady Deneb."
Male Human ~Ovis Native~ Dragon Tamer 1
The revelation of the dragon orbs creation elicit a deep fear in Delphyene, who curls up around Haar's neck subconsciously as if such a fate was about to befall her. She calms down some as he reassure her with a gentle stroke of his hand. "Now now. Such a fate isn't going to happen to you little one. I think I won't have much use for a dragon orb, despite its great power. No offense miss Deneb." He graciously accepts the shield taking it with a bow and a gentle kiss on her hand as he favors her with a warm smile."I will carry it with me and use it in my battles to come. Instead of looking around the shop he invests his time in listening to Deneb talk, hoping to glean more information from her on her exploits. Her travels and more. However the Dragon Orbs makes him think on what little he knows of the Arcane since he became a dragon tamer. After her comment about Delphyene he his smile broadens. "Delphyene here keeps this old dog out of trouble. I have discovered that being a Dragon Tamer is much to my liking, they make great companions especially when your used to traveling alone." He scratches under Delphyene's chin as he talks and gives a light chuckle he her tail twitches in pleasure. He looks back to Deneb as he finishes scratching under Delphyene chin. "My goodness though you are well Traveled, Tarias seemed knowledgeable of your exploits..." He nods to their well traveled scholar. "... however this talk of Dragon Orbs and spicy events to come intrigues me. I'd hate to hold you up further but I would love to hear more of your stories and adventures if you will" Bluff: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
==================================== Bluff - She isn't skilled in this and doesn't realize she may be letting on that Haar isn't revealing everything he knows...: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22 Being linked as they were spiritually and mentally Delphyene could tell when Haar was being false. She couldn't help but glance at him as he spoke She didn't approve of the behavior but this time she could see the gain in his information gathering. She was however intrigued by how well traveled this Deneb was. She also liked her hat! Marking it as a must have the day she had a horde of her own. [/spoiler] Bluff - Fail:
Haar is trying his best not to act too curious about what Deneb has heard but it's clear in his voice that he may have an already as to what she is talking about. Diplomacy: It's clear he finds Deneb enchanting and intriguing, he also wants to be on her goodside. Not necessarily for any gain other then perhaps a mutual ally or a close friend for the hard times to come. Note about Haar: He doesn't use people he isn't that type of guy...
Male Human ~Ovis Native~ Dragon Tamer 1
Haar is slapped upside the head yet again, knocking him out of his stupor. He looks to his small companion who looks away with a hrmph and slightly bristled scales. He gives the woman a warm , albeit sheepish, smile. "Apologies, didn't expect someone so striking to be moving around at night like this. Haar Ramaloce ma'am and it would be an honor to look at your wears, although i must admit i do not believe i will have enough to buy much. Especially if the shop is as fantastic as its owner." His smile wasn't as sheepish towards the end but he definitely felt a pang of jealousy from companion before he ran a light hand along her scales. "This is Delphyene my companion. We will do our best to be quick and not hold you from your sleep although i am curious as to where your heading at this late hour? "
Male Human ~Ovis Native~ Dragon Tamer 1
Haar wanted to say something quick but was slapped upside the head by his companions tail before he managed the words for a response. Rubbing his bruised pride he mumble. "Fine, fine. Lets go and see what's for sale then..." Famous last words... Delphyenes tail wagged in excitement as her baser instincts kicked in. Her horde sense was tingling just standing outside this wonderful looking contraption...
Male Human ~Ovis Native~ Dragon Tamer 1
On the road¡: Delphyene was pleased with the idea of approaching the talking hut. Haar wasn't so keep on the idea but relented after his companion continued to run around his shoulders festering him with a mental bombardment.
"Alright, Trials if you think it is safe i will trust your knowledge about this... Deneb person." He rises out of the brush and enters the road, waiting for the briefest moment for someone else to hail the walking shop before he did so himself.
Male Human ~Ovis Native~ Dragon Tamer 1
Haar watches the strange chicken walking hut move past and shakes his head, not wanting anything to do with it. Delphyene watches in wonder as to what creations raom the land, despite Haar's reluctance to bother with it she wonders what could be driving such a strange thing.
Male Human ~Ovis Native~ Dragon Tamer 1
Haar adjusts Delphyene on his shoulders as he warns the others. "This swamp is very acidic, don't let them push you into deeper holes." he nodded to his companion. :Get ready and stay close. :Yes Haar, I will do my best. Nodding Haar ready himself for action. initiative Haar : 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Haar casually counted the number of guards at the checkpoints, he wasn't too concerned about them as of yet. They had to become a threat before they needed to worry about these types of places. He nodded in agreement with Tarias though. "Indeed, at least for now we have anonymity on our side." He was silently thankful at the thought that the Lodossian's believed he was dead, which would make his vengeance all the more fulfilling. After helping to setup camp he suggested. "I can take first watch. Delphyene is particularly capable of seeing at night time and has a strong nose for unusual scents as well." He pulled out a journal and checked it for additional wear before setting it on his bedroll with a quill and a small ink pot.
Male Human ~Ovis Native~ Dragon Tamer 1
Haar nods to Astrid and retrieves his nearby gear. "Agreed, since they have the woods we'll take the road to Gryllus." He nods to the others as he waves farewell. "See you again soon and good luck." Delphyene mimics his wave with her tail looking marginally happier now that Haar had regained his cool.
Male Human ~Ovis Native~ Dragon Tamer 1
No disagreement here. ;) Haar, with the help of his scaled companion keeps from relating his own history in the matter and waits until the others had cooled their tempers before nodding to Ezekias suggestion. "Tarius, Astrid and I will take the main road then and meet you all in town later." Looking to his two companions then. "Shall we set off today or on the morrow? Matters not to me either way." Delphyene watched the many conversations wide eyed as the flurry of activity was more then what she was used to.
Male Human ~Ovis Native~ Dragon Tamer 1
I didn't know if K-Geography was going to be the right skill for planning a quicker route of travel Zaitherin. Let me know if you prefer me to do K-Checks differently. Thanks! :) Haar's face hardened's momentarily at Tarias's words. However Delphyene grounded him with a small shift of her weight across his shoulders, her tail twitching ever so slightly, and reminding him to let go of his anger. Not quite so angry he approaches the newcomer looking like a brigand in his studded armor, bandana and black eye patch. He offered the man his shield hand in greeting. "Haar Rámalóce allow me to welcome you to the resistance. Although our first mission seems dubious in nature, I can assure you that we have to do what is necessary. Lest this independent movement die in its infancy and besides..." He taps the side of the eye patch. "... my experience with the Lodissian's is that they are merciless. An' not just to people like ourselves but children and anyone else who they think are interfering with their plans." Delphyene nodded at Tarias before rankling her nose in disgust at Haar's dreadful attire again. Ignoring his companion's tsking Haar looks to the others once more. "So tomorrow we set out then. Taking the woodland path could prove useful and the half-day can be used to contact our allies prior to setting traps. But should we split up so as not to attract attention to ourselves?

K-Geography- Any noteworthy paths for horse travel through the forest to speed up our travel?: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20 Haar trades in his Parade Armor for something more fitting the mission, better to appear as an unknown then to be wearing his insignia. Parade Armor for Temporary use of Studded leather. Same stats and costs if that is alright. When he emerged he was wearing a Bandana that covered his head and obscured his hair color, his eye patch and a brown studded leather armor. His silver companion was actively looking him over from his shoulders for a few minutes before wrinkling her muzzle in displeasure. "You look absolutely savage..." "That was the point my dear..." Haar barely restrained a chuckle at her modest assessment. "That cloth smells funny as well." Haar grimaced as she scrambled about his shoulders. "Was it used to clean gutters..." "Oh look my new companion's..." His interruption caused her to quiet down considerably. He chuckled lightly and took the responding tail slap with ease as he tried to avoid flustering his small companion further.

Haar nods politely to those who acknowledge his introduction for Masha he still remains polite yet guarded around the woman. At least for now. However he was not one to pass judgment on anyone for wanting to remain anonymous. "Well Met Lady Ne'Sulune, Narkus and Sir Silerthane. I am prepared, just have to go and get my companion." He recovers Delphyene and meets the others at the proposed spot. Delphyene, being the shy creature she was, coiled around his broad shoulders and stared wide eyed at Haar's new associates. Haar didn't press her to introduce herself, instead he let her get accustomed to their presence as he had already explained to her what they would be doing. It would take some time for his silver scaled companion to get used to fighting alongside the independence.
Male Human ~Ovis Native~ Dragon Tamer 1
Haar stands at this point. He approaches each of them and offers them his shield hand in greeting. Firmly shaking the hands of the two men, even being respectful to the necromancer of course. While treating the ladies in a more delicate and polite fashion giving each a deep bow as he introduced himself. "Haar Rámalóce, pleasure to meet you all. I look forward to our continued fight for independence. Delphyene will most certainly enjoy meeting you all as well." He favors Astrid for a moment having considered her opinion as well. "Moments ago I thought it would be prudent to ally with some of the ruffians as well. However their points are valid and perhaps we can reassess when we are able to come from a position of strength. Sadly however, even then they will be shaky at best I assume. Ready to abandon us to the highest bidder so to speak."
Male Human ~Ovis Native~ Dragon Tamer 1
He raised an eyebrow at Ezekias overly commanding tone, he ignores it however, whether the mans bravado was true would be seen soon enough. Haar nods as Tobias officially brings their briefing to a close, now he had to decide if he should involve Delphyene in this matter. The look on the woman's face interested him as her accent betrayed little of what she was actually feeling. Time would tell when they fought together in the coming conflict. "Sounds good Captain."
Male Human ~Ovis Native~ Dragon Tamer 1
Haar didn't grimace or frown, he was calm, despite how much he disliked killing it was necessary in times of war. If the rebellion was meant to succeed then they had to do whatever it took to ensure victory. He mumbles quietly, more to himself then anyone in particular. "I can fight with my all then..." He looks to Ezekias then. "The third option will be best, leave no survivors. We can use the dead to cover all sign of our passage while we make off with the supplies. Depending on luck we should be able to wrap this up quickly."
Male Human ~Ovis Native~ Dragon Tamer 1
Add on after Tobias answers Ezekias... Also just wanted to post it so it was one and done ahead of time. :D This is gonna be fun! Haar gets Tobias's attention momentarily as he asks. "What would it take to placate the Ruffian's into staying quiet? I am assuming a hefty sum but would it be unwise to hire them initially to aid in the acquiring of the materials we need or will we have men on hand when the caravan falls?" The woman had caught his lone eye but since she remained silent he'd not press for details. Patience was key right now and besides he wanted to get back to Delphyene as soon as he could.
Male Human ~Ovis Native~ Dragon Tamer 1
Hello everyone. As stated before I am playtesting a change to Dragonrider class, removing the FOCUS part and making it more Mystic Warrior-esq. The dragon is small sized and it will be a few levels before she can be actually ridden. Trying to balance the class as best I can~
Male Human ~Ovis Native~ Dragon Tamer 1
Despite his broad shoulders, height and fine clothes he had otherwise gone unnoticed, completely still and quiet as he assessed the options laid out before them. He was unconcerned with the Necromancer in there midst, you didn't question your assets no matter how questionable they may be. He had been put off leaving Delphyne behind and had reminded the attendants kindly that if she was mistreated in anyway they would be having an unpleasant chat. "I have no qualms in our tactics, utilizing the restless dead is more useful then allowing them to wander in the wood. However I would like to avoid unnecessary casualties if there are innocent people traveling with this shipment. I can cause the road to become slick if needed, cause the guards to trip or make it so their lead horse has no footing." He regarded Narkus with his lone eye assessing the odd necromancer before speaking. "If I may ask, just how many can you control? And can you animate freshly fallen ones?" |
