"We should probably press on, we don't know how long it will be until this lagoon fills again," Grym replies, "And watch out for that blue shark." Grym indicates towards the shark as it cruises around the reduced lagoon.

Grym nods and begins to head towards the opening, scanning the edges for any hazards.

Grym crosses to the fallen body of the chupacabra and ensures that it will not rise again. He inspects the carcass of the beast, specifically to see if the hide of the beast could be used for armour.

"Is anyone able to craft armour from the hide of beasts?" he asks, hopefully.

Grym attempts to quell the building rage of his forefathers and drops his greataxe, pulling out his shortbow as he gives chase to the beast. As he pauses to fire an arrow, he holds his breath and lets the arrow fly.

"Agreed," Grym replies to Cat, offering out his hand. He barely registers the pain of the cut before he proceeds to bind it.

As quickly as Yekskya shouts the warning, Grym has his ears covered by his great meaty hands. Despite his precautions, the thunder buffets him but his hearing is mercifully saved.

"So we have a way forward once again," he speaks as the doors open. Noting Cat's distress, he turns to the others.

"I suggest we wait until Cat's hearing has returned, to proceed otherwise would be a mistake," he continues, casting a glance over at Cat.

From where he stands, Grym peers at the door to see if anything lies in wait for them.

Grym shrugs and unstraps his gauntlet, offering it to Zag.

I shall assume that Grym is back up to full HP.

Grym isn't a fan of puzzles at the best of times and this new one certainly has him irked.

"Could be this Ydersius is the 'Lord' this inscription speaks of," he rumbles, as he reads the inscription over again. "It appears to me that we've got to put some blood of a sentient being that's been bitten by a snake onto the statues, then pour sea water over the pyramid from a vessel, perhaps a bucket, made of gold. Then we speak someone's name, best guess being this Ydersius, and then the water drains away and we get to see what's under that lake."

"Well then, anyone got a golden bucket?"

"I agree, we must put an end to this, once and for all. Shall we head for this Red Mountain?" Grym's baritone rumbles through the immediate vicinity.

"I'll need some healing," Grym states breathlessly, leaning against the cavern wall.

Grym's roar is a mix of bestial power and pain, as Mother Thrunefang's dark magics course through his body. He leans on the haft of his greataxe heavily and takes in huge gulps of air.

"No problem, Yekskya," Grym replies, hawking a gobbet of spit at the twice-dead abomination, "She had to be put down, and quickly. I think Erastil blessed me in this fight."

Grym moves forward towards the Mother and heartily swings his greataxe at her, hoping to deal her a considerable blow. He howls in triumph as his blow strikes true, hoping that it is enough to drop her where she stands.

"Aye, moving up the tunnel seems the right course of action," Grym takes up position at the head of the party, ready to charge into the fray if needs be.

Grym rolls his shoulders before he hustles over to the side of the entrance that the sound of feet are coming from.

"I'll hit them from here!" he says to his compatriots.

Grym will prepare to Power Attack the first creature through the entrance if it is obviously an enemy.

"Aye," Grym agrees, "I'm surprised we've not seen any yet. Even moving through the jungle we'll need to remain alert. We're on their hunting grounds so they'll have the edge on us."

Grym quickly scans the journal after Cat finishes with it and nods slowly.

"Yes, I think you're right. 'Thrune', isn't that the Royal House of Cheliax? I remember some of the crew mentioning something of a Chelish expedition to these islands in the past. Sounds like they went crazy. Immortality? Madness," Grym discards the journal again.

"Regardless, this is the only structure that we've seen that seems remotely safe to spend a few hours in. I agree that we should put it to the group to see if they would prefer to stay there. After all, we can discard the skulls into the undergrowth if it puts anyone off," Grym says, preparing to move back towards the group. As they leave the hut, he'll keep his eyes peeled and an arrow on his bowstring.

Grym holds out his clenched fist as the hut comes into view, wary of the bones that decorate the area. Although the trail was old, that doesn't mean that the hut isn't lived in.

"We should search the area," Grym whispers, indicating towards the surrounding foliage, "If the area is safe, this could be a good camp for the night."

Grym rubs his chin. The hidden trail could indeed offer more information and perhaps lead to a permanent base.

"I think we should take the hidden trail, the others are correct in that this is no natural work. Someone has gone to great trouble to hide their tracks." Grym unslings his shortbow and nocks an arrow.

"Cat, shall we head down the trail and see what we find? The rest of you should probably camp just off the trail to avoid anyone coming down the path proper," he says indicating towards the tree line.
