Round 1
Grutsnick attempts to hit one of the creatures as they move to attack him. AoO against first insect. Thought I had a greatsword, my mistake. Magic Lucerne Hammer PA: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 271d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 91d12 + 13 ⇒ (2) + 13 = 15 How I hate these gremlins. Huh, I was not aware of the changed mechanic. I'll switch my attacks to Sunder attempts. It looks like a Sunder replaces a regular attack, so that would mean my 28 and 14 become a 25 and 17 (CMB is +11 which I assume replaces the +14 and +9?) for 18 and 22 damage respectively?

I will be getting married on Saturday, and as such my posting rate will drop slightly until Sunday evening. Feel free to DMPC me along if necessary. I know it's a bad time right in the middle of a fight but I think I posted out my round 1 already and Grutsnick isn't the most complicated soul in combat.

Oooh good point, didn't read it correctly.
Crossbow Mastery: Benefit: The time required for you to reload any type of crossbow is reduced to a free action, regardless of the type of crossbow used. You can fire a crossbow as many times in a full attack action as you could attack if you were using a bow. Reloading a crossbow for the type of crossbow you chose when you took Rapid Reload no longer provokes attacks of opportunity.

"Anybody got another 50 feet of rope? I have 50 and can make the climb easily, then hold the bottom steady for the rest of you. Lorelei can you fly down?" Climb skill is +11, take 10 isn't enough for me to climb it without a rope and I don't have climbing gear that grants any bonus. Grutsnick peers over the edge carefully and looks for likely handholds, willing to freeform it if necessary but clearly not relishing the idea.
I can heal myself once a day for 1d8+2, but I have to be raging, which seems silly in a non-combat situation but I could get angry enough to feel better I suppose. I will rely on the goodwill of our divine casters for any additional healing I require rather than that. Grutsnick nods the next day as the researchers reveal their results. "See, road signs." Not sure what took them so long, just needed an arrow pointing the way.
"I can't make out these writings. I'll help set up camp and check the area while the rest of you puzzle it out. I assume we're heading on towards the temple in the morning. Maybe this is some ancient road sign." Grutsnick nods as his wounds close. "Thank you Alexander." This was a fine test, and we did well. I am surprised. "I assume we'll need to leave the canoes here now."
Will save 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18 Grutsnick ends his rage when he sees no more opponents on the field. His breathe comes in heaving gasps for a short while and then he leans heavily on his axe. His skin is peppered with small wounds but he looks amazingly healthy for the amount of damage you saw thrown his way. "Why were you all beating on that tree anyway? Did anybody see where that last stick man went, I want to talk to it." Failed the will save again, although I assume with it dead it can be pointed out to me that it's actually a semi-sentient tree.
