The conversation swirling around causes Grulorg to hesitate and step backwards. He growls at the opponent facing him awaiting the actions of the rest of his companions and of course the newcomers. Hold action, if everyone else drops their weapons Grulorg will drop down into the negatives as his rage will end and he will lose 8 HP.

Grulorg slings Lheo's bow over his should and stops by the body of the fallen warriors to retrieve one of their clubs for use, Not my earthbreaker but it will have to do. He then begins to pluck the arrows that he shot that missed from the ground, Why waste em and tries to look generally imposing to the remaining villagers. He lets the rest of the group do the talking at this point. "Damn Lheo, I need more bow practice, I was lucky I hit the ground with some of these shots..."

Initially Grulorg was wary of starting a battle with an entire village full of people, after all, if they were friendly why slay those who can assist you? It is clear though that these people are warlike, well Grulorg was warlike too if only his earthbreaker had not been lost at sea... The half-orc draws back on his bow and fires at the villager attacking BM, he trusted Lheo and Ish to take down the last of their present fighters. Compound Longbow 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11 - Damage 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11 .....

Ishmex, Grulorg, Lheorvine: Grulorg draws an arrow and ulls back on the compound bow, he holds his shot until the Warriors approach Ish. He does not want to be the aggressor if he can help it.

He turns and looks at the water, "I wonder if we shouldn't try and see if any of our stuff washes up on shore, I bet my Earthbreaker sunk like a rock, wonder if we can find the spot where the ship broke up..."

Grulorg: The half-orc narrows his eyes trying to ascertain if he can see anything at all floating in the water there. He considers calling out and holds off, until he sees the light flickering from behind him. If would be attackers are here, that light will attract attention more so than my voice.
He calls out, "BLYTHE!? DELMAR!? CEDRIC!? CAPTAIN!? Anyone there!" This is probably the first time he has used the full name of either of his companions, ever.

Grulorg Ishmex and Lheorvine: Grulorg grins, "I abandoned my goods to save my life. Things I can replace, I've no guarantee the Night Maiden would restore me to life". Grulorg picks up the bow and flexes it with ease, "Thank you, I will accept this gracious offer my friend". As they arrive at the figure of Ishmex, Grulorg grins a tusky grin, "He lives! Set up a fire perhaps... and warm up, I will scan the beaches the rest of this way for survivors". Grulorg does just that. Let me know if you need another Perception check.

Grulorg takes a few moments to cough the remaining water from his lungs, he checks his inventory. besides his clothes and his cloak, all else he brought was lost to the waves, even his fabulous weapon! Still, a dead man cannot use tools so to hold on he had to let go. The Gods give and the Gods take, the half-orc has overcome worse, perhaps his goods will wash up on shore, perhaps not. Still, this was not the time to lay about, this was the time to seek survivors. With his night vision, the half-orc begins to look for his allies or his charge, Cedric. Hell, even crew men he should assist if he can but they are not his primary focus. Grulorg will begin to search the shore for any shipwrecked survivors.

Sorry RL swept me away as this shipwreck might! Grulorg is wakened by the sound of the ship crashing. He grabs his pack and his armor and does his best to climb out.

Fortitude save 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19 Grulorg is able to handle the horrible motion of the ship, he spends is time below decks praying to the Night Maiden to keep the ship safe that he may continue to do that which she wishes of him. Grulorg gets a lot more pious when effects beyond his control can potentially harm or kill him!

As the Captain is quiet, Grulorg aims his questions at the Second Mate, "Ever been to where we are going? Anything we can expect as to what dangers could be present? I get that we're on a beach but I guess there could be some local animals that might be aggressive if we have to go to the interior to forage".

Grulorg turns about as if to say, what am I doing and ceases doing what he was doing which was leaning over the back of the boat to see the waves forming and instead stands perfectly still so as to not be a distraction to the crew.

Grulorg steps out onto the deck of the ship, shirtless and armorless, something that his line of work does not generally allow for. He heads to the stern to watch the wake of the ship and see if any dolphins will dance out of the water this day. He nods to Blythe and Cedric but figures that their conversation should stay private.

Grulorg will buy 100 more arrows for his composite bow (5 GP). This is a long trip and he wants to make sure he has enough, just in case. 55 GP for scrolls. Shovel 2 GP. Rations trail (5 SP per day so 2 days is one GP, he will buy 60 days worth for 30 GP), again, just in case after all they have a ship to handle transportation! A tent 10 GP. Soap 1 lb. 1 GP. 10 Torches 1 SP. 2 Explorer's Outfits for 20 GP. 2 vials of Antitoxin for 100 GP. 1 Grappling Hook (just because he does not have one). 224 GP and 1 SP leaving him with 275 GP and 9 SP.

Grulorg heads below deck to stow his goods, really the only possessions he owns in all of his life. He knows this will always be his life and he is glad for it, the humans that raised him were tied to their land and their possessions never going anywhere or seeing much of the Empire. Now Grulorg has a chance to see a new place and have a new adventure. He is excited by the idea of it all. He heads onto the deck to see the boat head into the ocean itself. He grins broadly making sure to stand out of the way of the crew as he does so.

Grulorg raises Blythe's glass and grins, draining it, "It's not scotch but its certainly tasty. Thank you my Lord for your hospitality". He follows Ish out the door, "We should get a lot of rations, who knows what resources will be available to us on a trip that long! What else do you know about the area that beach is located on Ish?"

Grulorg grins but quickly recognizes the look he received, "Terrific. Don't worry my Lord, battle is in my blood and if it comes to us on this job I'll make sure not one hair is harmed on Cedric's head! But if there's no fight ta be had I'm not gonna start one and endanger your Heir".

Grulorg slams down the wine like a shot and manages not to belch he then turns his attention to Blythe's glass in her lap while licking his lips, "Ya' gonna drink that BM?" He then goes silent and listens as the conversation moves forward and he frowns as the discussion seems to indicate that this will be a long and uneventful series of months, "So we don't get to hurt anybody at all on this one?"
