Having given the warning, Grigor sets to disabling the summoning trap while others begin investigating the other rooms. He sets out multiple powders and liquids that don't seem to be standard for how a rogue would disable traps, but might be more specialized for disabling magical spells.

Grigor looks at the gnome statues in the corner. "This fellow certainly thought highly of himself, didn't he? " Taking his attention off the statues and to the rest of the room, he pauses a moment. "Where is the dust? The papers were stacked for the past two years, but there isn't a speck of dust in this place? Something isn't right here...what have we here? Don't step near the sofa, some kind of magic circle is underneath it. See the edge of it sticking out slightly? We often used similar circles at the university for summoning temporary specimens for study."

I spent my 1pp for one after confirmation. I was assuming I got back after one was asked for. In interest of time, I'll assume the opposite.

"You said a wayfinder was needed? I have one here." Grigor pulls out his wayfinder.

Circling the cemetery before finding a location for his next distraction, Grigor sees Hannah exiting the mausoleum. Seems I have bought enough time. Now to find out if this has paid off.

Grigor lands just outside the cemetery gate, taking human form and meeting back up with the party. He seems out of breath, "I trust this venture proved fruitful?"

Is the cemetery the size of the map, or is there more? If there is more, I'd like to fly to another location off map, to make another crash and try to draw him farther away and buy more time.

Seeing things aren't going well, Grigor flies to a mausoleum a ways to the southwest, hiding where it shields him from the priest. He lands, transforming to his half bat form and looking for anything to make noise. Knocking over tools, hitting the mausoleum with a stick, whatever tools he finds available. Once he's found a way to make a loud crash, he changes back into a bat and flies away from the mausoleum to watch the priest's reaction.

Dropping his crossbow, Grigor draws a blade from his cane, discarding the scabbard and stepping up to engagethe troglodyte, hoping to have better luck than he had with his crossbow.

Still having issues with Paizo. And I had a couple of readied action posts eaten, and I didn't get dice in the last one, but did a short post trying to get something through. Rolling the ready and normal in case you will allow the ready to happen when the trog charges (since that would have set off the action.

Wincing both at the acid attack on the bats and at the bats attack on Durlo, Grigor takes another tact, changing into bat form and takes off into the bat swarm, trying to screech at them to see if he can influence their direction.


1) I have no handle animal.
2) I don't believe being a bat actually lets you speak bat.
3) I have no rulings or evidence this should actually have even any chance of working.
4) In spite of all that, it still sounded fun, and I'll probably never ever have another chance to try it.
5) I'm ok taking splash damage.

The proper stategy here is obviously, if I can't beat them, join them. If I turn into a bat can I just be part of the swarm? :)
