HHHHHHHEEEEELLLOOOOWWWW TALL FOLKS!!!!
i'm back! and i'm back so damn happy. Just to make a Little entrance here, i want to say that my character (a poverty vote cleric of Sarenrae) has been reincarnated into a goblin. Why? he decided to sacrifice himself in a ritual so then he can safe his friend, a noble cavalier who lost in a duel vs the goblin chief (who happened to be a druid, so he himself reincarnated my character). I'm hyped, because you all know...i love gobs.
Well, hands to the work: My powerty vote cleric keeps taking money from the adventuring treassure. His goal is to make powerty dissapear not through giving money to the poor, but through opening a school that has enough resources to teach them, feed them and keep them in untill they have learned an occupation.
That said, my DM told me to look for the money that cost me to build a house (or a couple of houses) in kingmaker, and we will be using that system (and also the improved system, where 1 BP = 1000 gp in small Kingdoms)
So, i've to find a trustable NPC who can own the school (because i cant own it due to my vote) and also i've to gather 6000 gp. But a question came to my mind, and this is where i need you all to help me...
How big is/are the house/s that i will be able to build with that money?
How many people can that houses keep in?
How wide is the terrain that that houses/school are going to occupy?
Is there any way to calculate it?
Do you have any original/interesting idea to aid me in my goal to help the poor to reach a better life?
See you all in here, your allways fantastic GOBLIN CAVE OF LOVE
kisses, hughs, and all that things i allways like to give to you all.

My situation is as follows:
Lets say i'm playing a campaing as a player. My carácter (wich class and levels actually dont really matter) can craft scrolls. When we first put our hands in a treassure, i asked my team to take some of the gold to craft some scrolls for everyone. My intention was to inscribe the scrolls with buffs and "team spells" such like, for example, protection from evil and that kind of spell.
I found my team calling me selfish and stubborn, because it seems that my idea is quite weird. They argumented that if i'm the caster of the team, i should take all the costs of making scrolls even if the spells contained in them are for buffing the party.
I will not post the majority of the arguments, because most of them are just "reductio ab absurdum" (like, for example: "then the cleric should ask for us to give him money when he heal us with a spell"). Obviusly if our cleric need some gold to heal us i wont see so bad giving him the gold he needs...but he dont. In the other hand, i need gold to craft scrolls.
Anyway, my question here is...Bull's strengh, buffing spells and the like of level 2 or 3 costs 150 gp, 75 if i craft them or 52 if i make them "evil aligned". Am i beign stupid or selfish for asking the party to share the costs of that scrolls? I would understand that asking for money just to cast my daily spells is ridiculous, but in this case i'm quite lost because i really didnt think this was an issue and now i'm afraid of beign stubborn.
Also the monk of the party asked me to buy and pay a "mage armor" wand to cast it over me and over him...but he didnt offer to pay the half, he said since its a wizard's item i should take the costs.
Thoughts?...thank you people.

Hi again folks!
Some of you may know that i have started a new campaign as a player. Way of the wicked.
You lads helped me a lot with my character, and i'm here again because i need help with treassure management.
The story goes as follows:
And now comes the problem
Time to share the loot, and we come to a little bit of an issue. Our options are as follows.
1. If you take some item, we take the value of that item, and you cannot take gold or other things until we all have the same treassure level (example: if you take a 1000 gp armor and there are 3000 gp, you dont recieve any gold piece and the 3 members left gain 1000 gp each).
One of my mates is having issues with this, he preffers to take the armor, and divide teh rest of the gold between 4, since he needs some gold to raise undeads. Its not like he's not recieving any gold anyway, but of course in my version of the history he recieves less than the rest of us.
2. Even if you take an item, you share with the others the rest of the loot in equal parts.
3. We calculate half the price of the item you take, and then we do as in the option 1.
I really would appreciate two things from you, lads. First one, your oppinion about what option seems best for you. Secondly, i would like you to tell me your system if you think its better than us, or even if you think it can help us to avoid this issue and keep enjoying the campaign.
Thank you lot!!!!

Hellow everyone!
As allways, first thing first. Glad to be here again talking to you all, gentlemen, i hope we can all find an answer to this issue.
There's an alchemist in my group and we want to solve this as soon as possible just to play as we should in the new game we are starting.
I've been looking for an answer in the FAQ's of the advanced player's guide, sadly without success.
My question is simple.
Does an alchemist apply his INT bonus to the extra D6 that an alchemist fire do to a creature? I'm talking about the delayed damage, not about the initial damage.
My thoughts are like follows.
1- As stated in the rules, an alchemist applys his or her INT bonus to ANY splash weapon he's using. The delayed damage is a part of that splash weapon damage, so the bonus should be applied since its the weapon that deals that damage.
2- Every alchemist fire cost is about 15 gp, 4,95 gp if the alchemist craft it. If every shot that a player is going to do cost about 5 GP it seems fair enough for me that he can apply a bonus to all the damage that weapon do.
3- Delayed damage is not a consecuence of the weapon but an effect of the weapon itself. Its not like you push someone into a volcano and say you can apply your STR to the fire damage because you pushed him and the fire is a consecuence of your bull rush.
4- Nowhere the book (or at least i havent find) a rule that says that you cant apply your INT damage to the delayed damage, so going back to the gold rule, if the book dont say you cant do it, then you can.
Waiting for your thoughts!!!
Have a great day

Hi everyone, and thank you for taking the time of Reading this issue.
Well, my problem here is this one: I'm starting a new campaign as a player, "way of the wicked" wich is not official of paizo, i know, but i still need help.
The thing is, i've the fighter role in the group, and by fighter, i mean that i'm in the frontlane with a monk. Behind me, a wizard and a rogue expect me to do my job and stop our enemys.
My doubts goes around the question...What would you recommend to me? i dont know if monks have a high damage output since they have two atacks, and i dont know what can deal more damage, if it is barbarian or warrior.
Also, i would like to protect my fellows, and i'm not sure if i should build something up like a "battlefield master", a combat manouver expert that allows the monk to deal more damage or what. Also, a shield/sword warrior is going around my mind.
Could you help me to build a warrior/barbarian that deals a huge amount of damage, or telling me your opinion about what would you do in this case? i wont like to build a damage warrior and being outplayed by a monk in the game, i want to do usefull things in the team u know.
I like Vikings style, but thats just to let you know how the character is going to look, for some inspiration.

My question is very simple. I've been Reading the FAQ'S fórum, and i've found this.
FAQ'S said wrote: Power Attack: If I am using a two-handed weapon with one hand (such as a lance while mounted), do still I get the +50% damage for using a two-handed weapon?
Yes.
So, my question here is...do you think we can apply this to a small great axe wielded by a medium creature too? Following the corebook rules, a two handed weapon for small creatures can be wielded with one hand by medium creatures, but is still listed as a two handed weapon, so, does that mean i can apply my +50% damage when i'm using a smaller version of a two handed weapon that allows me to do so? or would it be consider a one handed weapon?
I dont want to fall into exploits though, but it's interesting for me since a warrior can use this kind of things to improve and personalice his or her combat style. Just like the official barbarian female character that wields a bastard sword of a big creature because she has the competence, and also she deals that +50%, even if his weapon is listed as one handed.
Ok, i really need advice here.
this is the situation:
1. my players kidnapped ironbriar in magnimar and, once the charm was removed, he sung like a bird all he knew about Xanesha in change of his freedom.
2. my players evaluated the risks.
3. my players decided that the best option is to blow up the shadow tower or make it fall, announcing it to the people around in silence or discreccion so no one is hurt.
Well, i cant imagine the possible consecuences of this. I know Xanesha can fly so for her is not that big problem but i would like to maje this interesting.
any ideas?
thanks!

Hi tall folks, so nice to be here again.
Well, i must be the luckiest goblin in the hole world. This is the situation i'm facing as a player
My friends are playing the Kingmaker campaing. I can't play with them due to personal circumstances, so the DM offered me a "lonely campaing". Basically, i'm playing alone a side history while the group is playing the Adventure Path. I'm not totally alone though, i'm with one NPC, so i guess we can say i'm playing an adventure with my DM.
This is the character i'm playing (this is important to make you understand the situation and help me a bit)
Samsaran wizard focused on crafting. (EDITED: level 1) Magic item craft feats and crafting skills. His dreams are to apply magic to technology, so he can push the world into a new era of knowledge. He believed that magic make people lazy, allways far from getting the bennefits of magic items due to its costs.
So, he thought "if i can develop technology, and i apply magic to it with imagination, i will be able to make that technology available for everyone, and so our society will progress.
One example would be the steam machine. In the head of my character, a Steam machine would be technology, but you can apply magic and get rid of the need of coal to heat the water.
And now, my question and needs.
I need help with some ideas about getting money the safest way possible in the Stolen Lands. Also, i will appreciatte if you can give me some tips about what to craft, what to not, and that kind of things.
These are the ideas i've got so far to get some money.
- Hunting, preparing the pelts and selling them.
- Making armors with the pelts and skins.
- Bounty hunting in a small scale
- Crafting bows and wood precious items.
- Crafting magic items to the group of adventurers playing the campaing.
And that's pretty much all i've got, i know its not so much. In the future i plan to open a smith, but the DM told me i will need 3000 GP, thats my goal.
LET THE BRAINSTORM BEGIN.
Thanks in advance ^^
"I posted this in kingmaker, but i think i should also post the issue here, since Kingmaker is an old forum and i think its less visited. I'm sorry if i cant do this, but i havent read that i cant, so...lets begin"

Hi tall folks.
Well, first, an introduction.
"I'm Albert, the crafter of my goblin's tribe, and i need to make a bow for the boss
I'm sooooo clever, so i actually have a +10 due to some feats and stuff to my crafting hability.
Well, a longbow cost is 75 gp. So, i have to pay one third of the materials and hands to work!
75 gold pieces are 750 silver coins. Well, lets make the check with a +10 since im awsome, lets go for dificulty 22
I got a 12!! so with my hability that hits 22 (ONE WEEK OF WORK)
lets see 22X22=484
Well...it seems that i will have to work another week in my precious bow. Oh, wait, its not that precious, its a normal bow..."
-"ALBERT, WE ALREADY WENT INTO THREE DUNGEONS AND LOOT LIKE DRUNKEN MONKEYS, WHAT HAVE U BEEN DOING?"-
-"Oh please, shut up, Damon"-
Wel...any ideas to change this skill and make it a little bit more usefull?
If you think its good as it is now, please explain to me how to build a crafter!
thanks in advance

Hi tall folks! (EDITED DUE TO J4RH34D EXCELENT ADVICE)
Well, i think this is the most suitable forum to fit my questions in, so here i go.
The thing is, i've never been master for players above level 5, and now i'm facing some issues in the Rise of The Runelords campaing due to one thing.
The paladin.
He can basicaly blow up every hard enemy in the campaing due to the smite evil and the rules around it. Even if i think that smite evil is pretty unbalanced in power compared with other classes features, thats not the thing.
The thing here is: Paladins are pretty strong, because they have to risk their powers pledging their behaviour to a code, and if they fail in that, they become absolutely nothing but a guy with a really hard time in front of them. I'm not saying i want to nerf my player, i'm just saying that in my opinion i'm making it easy to play a paladin.
So...what can i do to make the paladin's experience more brutal? And i'm talking about making this class feature interesting, add a little pressence to the game, not because of his enemys, but because of his philosophy and code rules. A great power comes with a great responsibility, u know...
Thank you all, tall folks!
Hi tall folks.
Truth be told, my doubt here is quite short, but very important for me.
When characters find a treassure that's written in one AP, and the value of some items like torches, gems and stuff are written, is that the price they get for the item, or the price a merchant can ask for that item?
I mean, do they recieve the gold written in that part, or do they recieve the half if they sell it to a merchant?
Thanks a lot.

TALL FOLKS, TALL FOLKS! I NEED YOUR HELP.
Ok, this is the situation: One of the players in my campaing is new, and i dont mean new in the game, i mean new in the campaing. He came last saturday from hollydays and started playing. Problem is, that he started kidnapped in twistletop (players were already there, so i didnt have much choices).
He was with 3 female goblins, one of the party heroes just went into twistletop with Gogmurt's aid (the druid), after making a deal with him in the last sesion: the group kill tall people, and Gogmurt avoid new atacks to Sandpoint.
Well, everything went right! the explorer went into the room where the paladin was kidnapped, they knocked down the three goblins and...they went into a walk, without armor and half naked just to see what can they find in the first dungeon floor of twistletop (the explorer was originally looking for ameiko, she's in twistletop too).
So...they found the "demon dogs" of the cathedral. The dogs barked, the explorer run like there's no tomorrow so he can go back to his comrades (this mean run upstairs yelling, opening doors with slams, climb the wall of twistletop and cross the bridge begging for his life, just to reach the forest), and the naked paladin decide that fighting is a good idea. He survived (dont ask). Of course he didnt kill the dogs.
Well, here is the problem, the group decided to rest so...SEVEN HOURS after that, they move into twistletop, just to find a big bunch of goblins have left (to atack sandpoint) and fell into an ambush. They knocked down the goblin chieff and his fellows, and now they are going ahead to the dungeon again.
I. need. help.
1. even if they have enough experience to reach level 4, should i let them got that level? its weird to me to reach a new level just after a fight when you are about to enter another in just 5 mins.
2. the best move Nualia can make here is pretty obvious. She can just stay together with the male warrior, the wizard and her three dogs, and wipe the PC'S faces out. But i dont want to kill all my players.
3. I was thinking that Nualia can be distracted with ameiko's ritual, but i have to say that the PC's have taken more than 3 and 4 days in rescuing her, and the AP says that she's dead in two. My group has killed Tsuto a Bruthamus, so i thought she can use Ameiko as a bait or something like that.
I really need help here, what do you think i should do? let them reach 4 level and make them fight two groups of strong enemys? (the wizard, the warrior and one dog, for example, and nualia with two dogs?) or what?
Just waiting for your lovely help, tall folks.
Hellow, my dearest tall people!
I'm here again to seek for advice. The issue i've this time is with Sandpoint's guard. I'm running the campaing and Belor Hemlock is about to come back to the town with reinforments.
I was wondering...How many guards do you think he should bring to Saindpoint? I'm totally lost with the number of soldiers the town should have, mostly because i dont want to make it seem stupid if Belor dont take the guys and blow up Twistletop with the info the PJ's have gathered.
Well...thats all!!!, thank you, tall people!

Hellow everyone, again, so glad to be here.
As usual, please, forgive my grammar mistakes. This time, my problem comes from the spells area and the usuall ritual of counting squares. I mean: characters ingame cant count distances by the meter, but the game sistem allows them to launch a fireball to a square they cant even see well and calculate the edge of the area so they can burn enemys and keep their allys safe with only 0,5 meters of difference between being burnt to ashes and keep the freshnesh of a milkshake.
this disturb me, a lot, but my players seems to HATE EVERY HOUSE RULE I PROPPOSE to solve this, in my opinion, problem.
my ideas:
1. your capacity to count meters in order to determine the area of your spells is affected by low light and ocultation, also by uneven terrain, or enemys blocking your vision. im one of these situations, you roll d4 to determine if you miscalculate the distance (as you do when u can fail with ocultation) if you failed, the spell trigger moves 1d4 squares in ome random direction.
2. inteligence check to determine the distance between your spell trigger and your allys, if you miss, the same above aplys
3. only if you are trying to exploit the game sistem, the rules above apllys.
please, feedback and more ideas..

Hellow everyone!
First of all, greetings from Spain. My nickname is Graelsis, i've been Dungeon Master since sixteens and i've just discovered this fantastic forums over here.
I've to admit that the english speaking community is vastly better than the spanish one, if we are talking about "beeing active" in this role-playing hobby that we all share.
That said, please forgive my writting mistakes, and lets get into the topic: I'm running Rise Of The Runelords this weekend, I created a document for my characters with new traits, role-playing tips and more. One of that tips was about "playing without a cleric". I pointed it as a bad idea in this campaing, due to the lack of healing in the rest of the team.
This is what they have built
-Paladin
-Two handed warrior
-Sorcerer (fire, damage spells)
-Wizard ("premonition" and adivination)
Yesterday, they got into a very hot discussion about "is the cleric really the best healing option? is it really needed?" between two players and the one who was the "last in choosing" in the group building process.
My question to you all is: was i wrong when i suggested that without a cleric they will have a really hard time in this campaing? or will they have enough with a paladin and some pots/magic wands?
Thank you all for your attention
