Jasper starts off all smiles, but that turns to tears quickly for the emotive halfling. "What nice people," he says wiping his runny nose with the back of his hand. "I mean, they wouldn't let us leave and were pretty oblivious to the nastiness that brewed here, but I like them all same."
"I'm committed to finishing our trip to Almas," Jasper says to the group. "But after that I think I'm going to go it alone for a bit. I just... I need time to myself. This has been an ordeal, one I need to process. There are things about me that I am still learning. But maybe we can promise to meet up again sometime soon?"

Jasper takes out a bandage, needle, and thread to stitch Kaleb's wounds closed. He can't help but notice that he's stitching over stitches, and contending with wounds that had reopened. "One day, we'll get to rest at an inn, feasting until we can't move anymore. One day."
