Garidan spent most of his time writing and preparing his reports so it was not surprising that he missed some queues and forgot a few lines. He assumed he would get a visit from their expert, but he paid the man little attention and even less respect. He had more important things to worry about, or so he thought. DM:
Very little information has been gleamed about this "Penumbra" so far. She is most likely a human, elf, or half-elf. Descriptions are varied and are not supported, but she appears to be of slight build of average female height. She appears to be protected by the common people. So far, no one is willing to identify her. Investigations continue. Armiger Garidan

Garidan approaches the others and quietly inquires "have any of you seen Tania?" Could she have been captured? This is all too coincidental...she knew of our plans. If the others get a hold of her... He tries to shake the thought from his head. He knew all too well what they would do to her. We must get word to Penumbra.

Garidan would prefer not to be a performer on stage and rather work in the background.

Garidan gives his best performance in hiding his true potential. When swinging his bill, he pulls his punch. He tries to dive out of the way, but stubs his toe and stumbles across the floor. In apparent disgust, he looks at the director and simply mutters "simpleton" before he stalks off stage. Reflex Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13 Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

"Do not fret my good sir. Your Dentris has arrived. I am certain that the scores of peons who have come before have discouraged your faith in our fine city, but prepare to be amazed. Seat yourself, and enjoy the show." With a flourish and a bow, Garidan moves to position himself directly in front of the director. He closes his eyes for a moment, let out a deep breath and begins. "HOLD YOUR TONGUE BOY, and we may yet escape the firebrand. Your father was the model of a devil’s squire, forked tongue and cloven feet included! Summon his wiles now, and keep shut that hellish Abyss you call mouth, before we all tumble down into its impenetrable darkness. Had you been born deaf and dumb, it would have been an improvement and this loyal servant would yet live to see another midnight." "End scene." Perform (Acting): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Garidan sits quietly, nodding in greeting as the others entered. He continued to sit quietly as the plan was laid out, and as doubt was cast. "I would prefer to wrap my fingers around our mayor, particularly his neck, but I suppose this will have to do. How much time do we have to prepare and will we need any supplies?"

Garidan spends 6 days and 180 gps to retain 2 hit points. He also spends 15 days and 202.5 gp to work on a dark leaf leather lamellar. Craft (armor), crater's forture, mw tools vs. DC 20, Day 1: 1d20 + 10 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 10 + 5 + 2 = 35 Progress: 16/202.5
So after three weeks, Garidan gains 2 hit points and is about 75% done crafting his mw dark leaf leather lamellar.

Garidan enjoyed the spiced sausage thoroughly. It had been several days since he had eaten anything cooked, and weeks since he had eaten anything this good. Despite the business of the night, it was nice to be out of the apartment again. Seeing the crowd bolstered his resolve. It meant that they were making a difference. It meant that they were being effective, but most of all, it meant that life for the people of the city was improving. When Arael joined them, he raised his glass in affirmation and ordered another round. "We will be ready" he simply stated matter of factly. He continued his meal and slowly looked around at the patrons. He tried to burn their faces into his mind. These were the people who were better off. These were the people he was fighting for.

Garidan moves about the town selling off excess supplies and makes a few purchases along the way. He picks up a set of masterwork artisan tools for armorsmithing, a scroll of crafter's fortune, and a scroll of magic weapon. Afterwards he heads home for lunch and to work on scribing the new spells into his spellbook. Spellcraft (crafter's fortune), school bonus vs DC 16: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 10 + 2 = 30

"Yes, please take the armor. May it serve you well." Garidan tosses one of the cure light wounds potions and the disguise self potion to Rurik. "Take these." He tosses Tanrov the cure moderate wounds potion. "Take this too, just in case." Garidan claims the last cure light wounds potion and slips it into his bandolier. "We should lay low for a day or two. I'm going to inquire about town on their leader, see if he has any known associates, and I'll get rid of any of this gear that we can't use. Maybe we can afford to equip ourselves a little better." With Tanrov blocking the northern passage, Garidan hustles past the tiefling cleric and moves to surround the priest. Taking up a position near the western door to prevent retreat or encroachment, Garidan wields his bill menacingly. "Go ahead, call for more help. They won't save you in time."

As consciousness comes flooding back, Garidan grabs his fallen bill and begins to pull himself to his feet. It was all coming back so fast. The tieflings, the Mage, the immaterial mace that walloped him from behind. He tried to shake the cobwebs out and focus, but the pain lingered and made concentrating difficult.

Reflex Save vs. DC 14: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 The unexpected arrival and sudden eruption of fire was enough to catch Garidan completely off guard as he took the full force of the fire. I hate to say it but maybe we should call it quits. We've lost Cato and Martino it seems, and Mimazaran hasn't posted anything in a month. I realize people get busy, but people also commit time to games. Being down three players is tough. There are hundreds of people always looking to get in games, but finding three that mesh well will be a challenge. I don't think we can handle the current encounter at half strength, and it would be awkward at least to introduce people midway through. Having said all that, I'm willing to push ahead, but it is a lot to over come,

"And I thought the underground passages were supposed to be collapsed. Alright, everyone out. Catch up to Tanrov. Let's see if we can use the buildings as cover. Mimazaran, can your shadow puppets get to the upper levels? Garidan heads out of the building and using his bonded bill, casts shield upon himself.

Garidan turns around to see that Tanrov has engaged others outside of the building. "Rurik, cover his back from range, stay in cover if you can." He then turns back to the table and tries to move it far enough so that Mimazaran can take a quick look. Only trying to move the table a few inches to see underneath it.

That seems highly unlikely the mage thought to himself. Tanrov, give me a hand with this table. I think it's concealing something." Garidan moved over to grab one side of the table, leaning his bill against the nearest wall. "Mimazaran, when we move this, peak beneath it, and keep that crossbow handy.
