Back! I will be looking through my massive backlog of posts that has been building since I left because of my health concerns. Just to give everyone perspective, my sugar is staying more stable and, since I don't have to eat as much, my insulin and blood pressure levels are regulating.

All is fair in the market on this day: the scent of spices waft through the air into a wondrous odor, the sky has a few clouds to block out some of the oppressive sun, and the markets are lively and bustling with people. As you are walking down the market, you hear what sounds like an old man yelling and screaming in a back alley. A few people look down the alley, but swiftly move past it, as if afraid they will get drawn into the situation.

No, I didn't abandon the campaign. I'm serious, I was wondering if people were fed up with the wait and quit. Then since I got back online after my screen was fixed I was like 'something's up' and checked out gameplay and thought to myself 'well crap'.

I'm back everyone!

This is a general announcement for everyone in one of my campaigns or recruitment.

The screen on my phone was shattered, which has prevented me from posting in the past like week because I have not been able to scroll down a webpage with a cracked screen. I took a picture of my phone with a friends phone, so if anyone is interested in me verifying that it was a real problem, I can post it and provide a link. I know it's not necessary, but I don't like just telling people that there is a problem without offering some sort of proof. I feel it helps you all to trust that I tell the truth, since some people are compulsive GM-slackers.

I SHOULD be good on posting until around September 2nd, when I go to the endocrinologist for my appointment. Obviously on Thursdays I will not be posting, but that had already been mentioned.

I will be working through my discussions and recruitments todays, so I will not be posting until tomorrow.

LOST CITY PEOPLE! I figured out why no one was responding to my post now... it was eaten! I feel stupid for thinking everyone just dropped and did not reply! :/

Will post tomorrow everyone. Sorry I haven't posted in 2 days. Haven't really been able to do much beyond going through discussions and recruitments because I've been fretting over a medical concern. I'm over it now, emotionally at least, so expect a post within about 24 hours, possibly several!

You're welcome! :) I'm about to go to bed, because I have bloodwork to get done in about 8 1/2 hours. I will post sometime after I get out!

Unless you intend for him to be a recurring NPC or a true hireling, I think it would be best to handwave him as just being a preexisting retainer who has already been paid, but who is staying behind to protect your interests once you decide to travel.

How big of a role does he play in your story?

"The nation of Qadira has always been a land of tales. From the lowliest beggar to the Satrap himself, all appreciate a good story. That is why you come to me isn't that so, stranger, to hear a story unlike any other? A story of perilous sands, dangerous beasts, and a lost city of uncountable treasure? Well, you have come to the right place, friend. Please, sit down and listen for a while, while I tell a tale of wonder and horror, of weal and woe. Perhaps in hearing such, you may find aught worth remembering..."
-Blind Yusuuf, Former Adventurer and Scribe

Where would everyone like to start in Katheer? Everyone post your current location, introduction to your character in a descriptive text regarding their activities, and find a reason to head to the marketplace.

Almost finished with said GMPC. Fine-tuning a few things before inception.

I was referring to using a custom GMPC. And yes, I know how to not exploit things by having one in the group. :)

Also as a future note, Thursdays are my game days, so I probably will not post on them.

I can GMPC Grith's role, I suppose! Everyone ok with that?

Well? Want to see if you're in before I post!

Bowing out already? I was about to post! Are you certain?

Give me a bit to double-check your statblocks and we shall begin! :)

So, does that mean everyone's ready? :)

That's 3! Now for the others to report and we can begin!

Sounds good! Everyone else nearing completion on their characters?

Grizz, same technique.

Oh yes, most definitely! Six campaigns at 1-4 posts per day is not quite as hard as people make it out to be, unless someone is REALLY busy. I don't have that problem, because I'm taking a hiatus from college until I figure out the cause of this hypoglycemia. The fact that I was operating for several months, unknowingly, on low blood sugar is why I couldn't handle more than I had. Now that I'm keeping it relatively stable, my mind is sharp enough to run multiple campaigns and still give me time to do other things. :)

Discussion and Gameplay threads are up! Dot at your leisure, people of the sands!

Dots with a mighty sirroco!

Discussion is up!

Nikole Alicer, yes, PCs may change archetypes before we begin.

Kaerlic, you can spoiler it in your alias.

Here are the selections! Those not selected, I will be running a WotR campaign, so look for it if interested!

Explorer/Thief: Grizz Yellowbeard
Rich Merchant/Noble: Nikole Alicer
Mercenary/Bodyguard: Niccolo Avashan
Desert Nomad/Guide: Kaerlic
Scholar: Grith

Finish up your backstories, statblocks, ect. and post when you finish. Then, we shall begin!

Sorry guys, I was busy getting financial aid worked out for my blood tests and working on helping my friend lay out a plan for a brick-and-mortar gaming store with a robust online shop. It's taken a good bit of my time today, so sorry I haven't posted. Tomorrow posting will resume.

I will select applicants tomorrow!

RECEUITMENT IS OFFICIALLY CLOSED!

Also, Thursdays are my real-life game days, so sorry for not posting. Will only be on long enough today to inform my other recruitment.

Selections will be tomorrow!

Sounds good everyone!

I don't see why not! :)

Bonus spells as in spells per day or spells known? If the former, no, if the latter, yes.

Recruitment will be open for 24 more hours, then I will select a group! Sound good?

Nikole, that's a good bit of gold but remember: bargaining for better prices helps you buy more, if you so desire. And you MAY run across a trader or two in desert, so keeping some gold could be a good thing, assuming the merchants aren't selling cosmetics or something. How would I know what happens? ;P That's my way of saying, prepare as you will. I have almost every possible action planned for, down to even what to say if PCs have certain divination spells lol!

Girth, that's fine.

Ashe, Aegis is an acceptable class.

AS FOR HP, REMEMBER, FIRST LEVEL IS MAX HP.

Ixos, yes they are! :)

I hope everyone is ready for some an 'Indiana Jones in Qadira' experience! I'm so glad VDZ inspired this!

Just so I can make a mental note, which area of Golarion, Golarion's solar system, or Golarion's cosmology would people like to explore after the conclusion of this?

Ok everyone, ready for a short (About the size of an AP module,) vignette in Qadira? I certainly hope so, but first some background!

I was prowling the messageboards the other day, back from a recent illness, and I saw THIS THREAD. Unfortunately, the OP was only willing to do Skype or some other sort of live session that does not meet a lot of individuals time schedules. So, it inspired me to work on my own! I will be running a series of back-to-back vignettes, set all over the land of Golarion, where you can build low-mid level characters with designs that you would normally never see anywhere else! Want to play a Sczarni gang member plotting a heist? Got a vignette lined up for it. Want to solve a murder mystery in the town of Karcau, artistic center of Ustalav? Got another one lined up! I'm sure you get the idea by now! Anyway, all of these modules will be contributing to an overarching storyline that, if we can complete these, I will run as a full campaign, with events in the story influenced by each of these vignettes.

Now for the basic synopsis of the adventure! :)

The basic summary of this plot is that the PCs are all a group of friends/family/acquaintances living in Katheer, capital city of Qadira. After helping a stranger, you will be gifted with a map and a mysterious item, which supposedly will help you find a long-lost city. Such a city, of course, has remained lost for a reason: it is a beacon, luring the unwary to their doom for the sake of gold and glory.
