![]() Water pushed to small boats against the stone dock as all of the new students stepped out of the boats and got onto the dock. Hagrid was waving for all of them to make their way up a set of stone stairs. "Com' along! We don't wanna be late now." New students shuffled through the area, all talking about the amazing sight they had just seen. Their first real look upon this fabled school that parents, older siblings, or teachers told them about. May seemed very excited, other a bit nervous, and even a few said it wasn't what they expected. The group of students where finally pushed along as they headed up the long stone steps and finally found themselves inside the castle walls of Hogwarts. The history of this place showed in every area they came to. Soon the group was stopped after they twisted around a small stair case with a tall noble yet stern looking woman in emerald green robes and a black witch hat standing upon the landing. She was an older woman but the air around her was one of authority. "Welcome to Hogwarts, I am Professor McGonagall." She began as she gave them a nod. "In a few moments you will step through those doors," She turned slightly a pointed to glass door behind her. "Though before you could do that however, you must be sorted into your houses. There is Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin." She explained swiftly yet some how slow enough for them to grasp. "While you are here, your house is like your family. Your triumphs will earn you points, though any rule breaking... and you will lose points." She told them as she looked down at each of them to see that they understood before continuing. "At the end of the year, the house with the most points will win the House Cup." Then she turned slightly and told them "The sorting ceremony will begin shortly." Professor McGonagell said before she turned and walked through the glass door, leaving them there for a moment. ![]()
![]() Hello all! Me and my group have found ourselves with out a GM for our Wrath of the Righteous game. So we're trying to find another GM who can pick it up. We're past the tunnels and have gotten up top. We have taken care of the sides quests and was on our way to Defender's Heart. We actually left off right in the middle of combat. So if anyone wants to jump in, we'd love to have you give it a shot! ^_^ ![]()
![]() Okay so, we began this Hogwarts game where everyone takes a year to GM it starting with my in year 1. We've lost several players and I am looking to replace them! So if you're interested here is where you can get the rule book, it is free, and I'm willing to answer any questions. We're looking to replace 3 players. One was a gryffindor and they other two where Slytherins. You don't have to be of those houses but I am more likely to pick a Slytherin Male student mainly because of the remaining Slytherin Male student who is now alone. ![]()
![]() So I am a player in a wonderful Kingmaker game! Love my fellow players, their characters, the GM is cool! Yeah we had some rocky areas but who hasn't in a PBP right? Because my mind can get bored and wander into the future of my games and characters I've been toying with the idea of my character Autumn Moon going from hunter I to the prestige class Hinterlander but I'm always nervous about prestige classes. So I was just wondering if anyone had any advice about how to take this and build it... I don't want to say properly so Maybe, just well. Make it work well I guess. ![]()
![]() The sound of the train's horn pierced through the area. It signaled the beginning of a new year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. September 1st 1981 is a turning point for many who now find themselves upon the the Hogwarts train leaving from Platform 9 and 3/4. A new
It would take almost the whole day to get to Hogwarts, arriving just before dinner. For those returning to Hogwarts it would seem like any other year, but for the first years this was something new, amazing, and nerve wrecking! The soft sound of the train gave a calming effect over the cars that had been set aside for the first years. Now that the train was going, it would be the best idea to find a cabin. ![]()
![]() So, I think I might have messed up the gameplay thread... I deleted the first post as we where still figuring ideas out... and I think that might have messed it all up. Here is the thread...Help please! >.< ![]()

![]() Alright! This will be the Discussion thread though I would greatly appreciate if people used this Discord till we set everything up. Such as core ideas and what not. As I always have Discord on me and can reply to you faster! It is not mandatory just something I think will be nice. Also one last thing, please dot and delete in the Gameplay area to keep this on your gaming list! ![]()
![]() So! I have come across a system some one made for playing at Hogwarts! And like every child who grew up with the Harry Potter books I wished for my owl and acceptance letter from Hogwarts. Alas it never came! XD But it is a system I don't know much about, so there will be a time to adjust for all. It is also free! Now here is where I will lose people, to make things interesting and share a bit of the burden I would like each player to GM a year at Hogwarts. I would of course take the first year to give people a chance to get into the flow. But I think it would give everyone a chance to learn the system inside and out. With all that said, who wants to go to Hogwarts? Question someone might have: "When is this set?" Nothing is set in stone, but I was thinking after the Dark Lord died but long before Harry was at school. So that we don't mess with much ya know? But I am open to suggestions. ![]()
![]() Greetings all!! I am here on behalf of my group. Our GM has stepped back from GMing so many games, Shadow was a wonderful GM and I fully support his decisions. But there are quiet a few who wish to carry on, so we are seeking a GM who can step in a run an all witch Reign of Winter! What I mean by that is either every character is a witch or has a class that has witch in the name. Like Witchguard-Ranger for example. There are a fair deal of player though I am unaware of which ones will be remaining so I shall have them post here. Also two of the characters, one of which is mine, are Elvanna's children. There is a whole story around them and I will be glad to go over it with our new GM. ![]()
![]() Fifteen years ago Uther Pendragon, King of Altaira, died. Leaving behind no heir of his own to take up the crown country he had spent his whole life building, the nobles he had brought together where unsure of how to move foreword. With rumors that Uther had a bastard heir somewhere in Altaira so well known, the nobility planned to wait at least a short time to see who may come foreword. Days turned into weeks, weeks into months, and months finally into years. Though by then the nobility of the land was dealing with too many issues. Uther had left taxes at an all time high just before his passing, and without the power from the crown no noble could change that. So the country struggled, several came foreword as supposed heir of Uther but with the help of Grand Cleric Emilia all where proven liars. Upset with the disruption these false heirs where causing, Grand Knight Commander Weinheidt and Grand Cleric Emilia took Uther Pendragon's sword and forced it into the base of the statue of Arturia before the Temple to Arkay. A spell was set upon sword and stone alike. Only when one of Uther's blood pulled upon the hilt would the statue release the sword. The sword stood within the stone for ten years before one day, during a tourney, a young squire pulled the sword from the stone in order to get his knight and foster brother Cei a sword to use. Once the nobles saw the young man with the sword, everything changed. Three years have passed since that fateful day, and King Arthur Pendragon first of his name sits upon the throne. Taxes are at an all time low, the capitol is slowly being repaired, and finally for the first time in fifteen years the knighthood of Altaira has swelled. Greetings all! This is a game based upon the legends of Arthur and his knights. In which you, the player, will be some of those knights! I am seeking 4-5 more players for this game as I have one player already. Can I play a known knight? Like Lancelot or Trysten?:
Yes! Yes you can! You can play your own spin on their story or play them close to the tales. I will let you know that Gawain is already taken so... yeah don't try to make Gawain. Also you can't be Arthur or Merlin. Sorry guys. Races:
Mainly I would like everyone to stick to humans. I know it's bland but there are reasons for it. I could also open this up to half elves but you're going to need a good story and there will be a bit of stuff we'll need to go over. Traits:
Two, you get two. Ability score:
Roll 4d6. Yes you read that right. Roll all 4 of those d6s and keep it all! Classes and starting level:
Beginning level is 4th and your class needs to be one from this list, or another full BAB or full martial weapon proficiency Wait, what about magic?:
Magic is still there, both Arcane and Divine. But in their world Arcane magic is feared and thus as the laws put in place long ago, Arcane belongs to the Crown. All form of mages are brought to the capitol and taught by the Archmage to control their powers for the kingdom. This doesn't mean you can't take a class such as magus, it just means you and I are going to be working more closely together because you've got some more stuff that I need to fill you in about. Special stuff:
As knights you have been taught some things, and this is an edited various of the background skills and some HP stuff.
Round up on HP if you'd have .5 that level At first level you get one skill point in each of these and ever level there after you get two skill points in addition to the ones from your class to place into these skills.
Free feat!:
As a squire you learn a great deal from the knight who taught you, and this is to give a bit of crunch to that fluff! So choose one feat from this list and you get it for FREE!!!
Forified Armor Training
NPC! These are the NPCs!
Nobles:
Baron Skavir:
Baron Skavir is one of the older nobles at court, for years he's been trying to climb up the ranks of nobility to no prevail. One of his courting attempts of Sir Lady Genivee earned him a black eye from her elder sister Sir Lady Titana. Which her sister apologized for, for while his advances where unwelcomed he did nothing to warrant physical force. Though it was fair to say he never attempted to court her again. Rumor has it that he no longer is trying to climb the ranks through marriage however, but no one seems to know how he plans to do it now. Baroness Mira:
Countess Claira:
Countess Isabella:
Duchess Almaria Galmain:
Duchess Emma Powell:
Duchess Erika Scasar:
Duke Arkin Icesworn:
Duke Bastian Ablin:
Duke Ecrin de Moren:
Duke Iven Vagrith:
Duke Ludwig Icheg:
Duke Lukous Price:
Earl Greogor:
Lord Eric:
Knights:
Ser Bedivere Giant's Bane: Ser Bedivere comes from a long line of knights and lords. It was only natural that he followed after his ancestors. Though he was a young knight, freshly knighted even, when Uther died. Now just shy of 30 years old, Bedivere serves Arthur now as one of his more trusted advisors. Ser Drafen the Loyal:
Ser Jonith Beast Master:
Ser Lady Aline the Frigid:
Ser Lady Amalda the Tact:
Ser Lady Genivee the Kind:
Ser Lady Marcia the Spirited:
Ser Lady Napheen the Bold:
Ser Lady Tanith the Faithful:
Ser Lady Titana the Vehement:
Ser Marrik the Tolerent:
Ser Owen the Wise:
Ser Seth:
Squires:
Squire Elmina: Once a ward of the state, Elmina was one of the few who Duke Lukous found and put foreword to be a page. Skilled at riding and using the lance, Elmina shocked everyone when she showed her strength and it was far more then her stature showed. She hit the other rider with enough force to send him out of his seat, and he was twice her size. Squire Nilson: The son of a northern Count, Nilson is a quiet boy but rather intelligent and wise for his age. However he is rather timid which makes his sword work not as strong as the other pages, though he is one of the more tactical and evasive fighters. Squire Walden: Walden is the sixth child of Earl Greogor. A passionate glaive wielder, Walden takes after his eldest brother Calous a bit too much. He flirts when he sees the chance and has more arrogance then Mordred, which causes some problems between them, to the point they crossed swords at practice once or twice. Squire Gareth: Gareth is the fifth son of King Lot and brother to Ser Gawain. He is a well rounded page, not overly standing out in physical capabilities or intelligence, but shining in his will power. Gareth is known for never giving up till he is able to do and understand what he was practicing. Squire Galahad: Galahad is the young crown prince of the lands past the fey forest, sent here as an act of good faith to Arthur. Devout in his faith to Arkey, Galahad has spent more time among the priests and paladins then he has among the other knights. It even seem that Arkey has gifted the young lad with divine power, which he hopes to learn how to use better. Squire Wymer: Wymer is a simple Lord's son who came across the eastern canal with the rest of his family with Duke Arkin. To bring some renown to his family in this new land Wymer used his newly awakened white dragon blood to get Duke Lukous's attention and be put foreword for training as a knight. Skilled with axes mostly, Wymer has been known to be rather merciless in battle, something people believe comes from his blood. Squire Feylinn: Faylinn is the youngest child of Earl Ranve who's land backs up to the Fey lands, she herself is part fey. This caused some fuss when she asked to become a knight, with fey blood so potent in her they worried it would cause problems. In some ways it did, Faylinn is a bit of a trickster and slightly vain but out of all the pages she is unquestionably the fastest. Her speed is main point of strength and she knows how to use it. Squire Mordred: Mordred is the youngest son of King Lot and followed after two of his four brothers, Gawain and Gareth. He is a faster learner then his brother and far better with a sword, but seems to be rather arrogant and tends to gloat. Squire Landon: The middle child of an Earl, Landon wished to become a knight to make a name for himself and prove he was more then his family name. He is a strong fighter and rather skilled with a blade but has been known to have a bit of a temper even if it's a long fuse. Squire Myla: Myla is the daughter of Baron to the west, close to the Kingdom of Taelen, and is the only child from that line. But like her father and grandmother, Myla has learned to harness a power that rest in her blood, dragon blood. This has turned many people's heads, many believe she will be a fierce and powerful fighter... if she can keep control. Magi:
Archmage Markous: (This is my Merlin, yes there is a reason there is nothing on him!)
Magi Arlen:
Magi Calous:
Magi Dason:
Magi Ewan:
Magi Lilian:
Magi Megra:
Magi Michael:
Magi Rosa:
Magi Soren:
Faith and Clergy:
Arkay and Arturia: Arkay, god of human life, death, and the passing of time. When the gods first turned their sights to making creation it was Arkay who made human kind. Though over the many years other gods began to twist Arkay's children to their own ends. As Arkay lost those he had made to the other gods he grew more and more depressed, to the point looking upon his creation cause him great sadness. Finally Arkay was ready to wash his hands of his creation, yet before he did he heard a prayer. When he looked down he saw a simple farm girl asking for him not to forsake them. Thus Arkay gave this children one last chance, before he turned away for good. After the girl stood to leave, Arkay appeared before her. First and foremost he thanked her. He thanked her for not turning her back on him, and then promised her that he would never turn his back on her and her people so long as she took up the sword in his name. The farm girl was shocked, she never thought her god would care so much about a simple farm girl's prayer. When he offered the arrangement she knew not what to say, how could she, a farm girl, take up a weapon in his name? Finally she asked how she could do this? She knew livestock and the harvest, not battle and leadership. Arkay just smiled at her before he told her the life she had lead up to that point, every detail. He told her she had greatness in her, and that he would be with her always. Lastly he held out his hand to her smiling softly, and when she took it he vanished, and in her hand was his weapon, a long sword. This is the core of Altaira belief and many still follow this faith to day, though that also maybe because it is the only faith allowed in Altaira's boarders. As priests of all kinds from outside faiths are not permitted in Altaira. Grand Cleric Emilia:
Angel Reyson:
Grand Knight Commander Weinheidt:
Grand Inquisitor Hendrickson:
High Cleric Lalie:
High Cleric Draco:
High Cleric Renalt:
Cleric Ashton:
Cleric Genalie:
Priest Cyas:
Acolyte Rylond:
Hey! There are squires in here, can I have a squire?:
You can yes, but that actually is going to be apart of our opening, so I'd hold off on picking one just yet! ^_^ Also please feel free to ask questions! I love questions. You can either asked here or PM me. I'm open to both. ![]()
![]() So this is a little misleading, as it'd be more like a Blackwatch game if everything goes well but... yeah! I'm seeking a GM who would be willing to set up a game set in the Overwatch universe, yes I know there isn't a lot to go on but that just means more creative freedom right now, and a few players. As of right now there is myself and a friend. The whole idea is to add a bit to the Blackwatch group as it has the fewest members, only three as of right now, lore wise so pushing in custom made characters wouldn't be seen as off. The system I figured might work is d20 modern, but I'm totally willing to leave the system of play up to the GM! ![]()

![]() So, about two years ago I started this game with a group in RL based upon King Arthur and his knights of the round table. It slowed because of issues in RL and... with the passing of my dear friend I figured I'd never return to this. This was a game that I mainly made with him and in most part for him because we both loved Arthurian lore. But I feel that, locking this away would be more of an insult. Now, I made this for the pathfinder system and I don't mind keeping it that way. But I can also use the Song of Ice and Fire system for it as well. So the pitch right? You are all knights in King Arthur's court, soon after he has taken up the crown I will add. Now you can either take the place of a knight we know, Trysten, Gawain, Gareth, Lancelot, etc. Who ever you don't pick I will go about making a character of them (who are already done honestly). This doesn't mean you cannot make your own knight and play them. I even encourage that. The game would be played here, but the maps (since I have them all laid out already) would be on roll20. So I ask you, those whom I have come to consider friends on this site, would you like to give this a try? ![]()
![]() Greeting to all! I am looking for a GM willing to run a Carrion Crown campaign. A friend and I would really like to play this AP but neither of us really has the time to GM it, as he already GMs many games and my life at the moment would not really support GMing it. And since there are only two of us I'd gladly welcome some other players, though I would leave that to the GM. Or if the GM would prefer I can ask some of my other friends to jump in, I am sure I can fill the AP to 4-6 with ease. ![]()
![]() Greetings all! I shall get right to the point, I am looking for a GM who knows the Song of Ice and Fire role-playing game. The group I was with lost our GM to life, which we all knows happens some times, and I had just started to understand the system. I asked the other players, of which there are four, if they wouldn't mind starting a new Game of Ice of Fire. 3 out of the 4 others have said yes and I haven't heard back from the 4th. Though I'm fairly sure it will be a yes. So you would have five players over all. So! As the title of the forum states! I am not too proud to beg. Please please! Some one be our GM! >_< |
