So, which familiars are better for underwater campaigns? (Preferably, ones that can breath indefinitely underwater.)

I was thinking for building a character (an arcane caster of some sort to take a scholarly related trait from a campaign) that could also help in melee. (The team has a barbarian, an oracle and a sorcerer) I was thinking about maybe picking either a magus or an arcane duelist bard. But I wanted to hear opinions about some other cool options that I could take. What other options might work?

I was checking this feat and started wondering if it was the case. If you use this feat and the second form you pick is of a familiar that can speak (like a raven). Would the familiar be able to speak while in this new form?

I wonder if there are any cool advantages that might make the kobold a cool option to play. They just seem underwhelming and not that good of a pick. Do they have some niche?

Just asking to make sure I understand correctly.
Someone takes the battle mystery and gets skill at arms revelation. If the class didnt have armor proficiencies before, after taking it, he would be proficient with only heavy armor, right?

Just to be on the safe side, I want to ask a few questions about racial heritage.

1. Can a half orc/half elf take the racial heritage feat?

2. Can one take racial heritage at a later level other than the first?

3. Finally, can you use racial heritage to take fox shape feat? Would it work?

Thanks in advance for the answers.

Hello to everyone!

I am playing in a campaign in a couple of weeks with some friends. For this campaign, the DM has set a couple of conditions for character creation:
-First, we would roll 3d6 to create each stat. Starting from strenght (then dex, con, int, wis) and finishing with charisma. We cannot change the results around so we are stuck with what we got on each stat. We got to reroll if we got a 1 or if we got 2 number twos in one stat. This was put in place to prevent anyone from rolling less than 8 on any stat
-We wont be getting ability score modifiers from picking a race but we will get everything else.

My set of stats ended up being
Str: 15
Dex: 10
Con: 8
Int: 15
Wis: 13
Cha: 14

I ended up getting the highest strenght stat (and the highest intelligence) of the group (the second highest being 13). Two of the players got pretty high charisma (with everything else being average) so I assume, they will be picking to play some type of caster.

Anyway, the point here is that I am not sure what to play. We can play almost any first party classes so there are lots of options available (ninja, samurai or any evil classes are banned). If possible, I would like to have a class that can cast spells too.

Thanks for hearing me out and for any advice given.

I have a few questions on the subject: What happens if a sorcerer takes the eldritch heritage feats?

Does he have to pick the same bloodline as his class?

Can he pick the same bloodline? If he does, does he get the bloodline power twice or does he get nothing if he already has that power?

Can a bloodline arcanist get a bloodline familiar?

Can a bloodline familiar get an archetype?

Are there any ways to get a tumor familiar besides picking it up as an alchemist discovery or being a sorcerer and taking the aberrant tumor feat?

I was checking about the magister class and notived that they can get Armor proficiency (medium) as one of its bonus feats. But I dont understand what the point would be. Gaining proficiency on armor doesnt stop the casting penalty, the class would still incur when casting in medium armor, right? So what is the point? Does the magister also gain the capability of casting in heavier armor if he has the correct proficiency feat?

My question relates to the humanoid form. While in this form, what do I keep even while transformed? Also, I wanted to ask if it is true that that one can use animal form gift while in humanoid form to change directly into an animal.

Just yesterday, my character decided to play with a harrow deck and surprise of surprise, my character ends up drawing the bear card. I have never had a PC gain a template so this is the first time dealing with this kind of thing. I have a few questions of the meaning behind this since I need to make changes to my character sheet based on this addition.

-Kitsune (Werebear)
-Change Shape (Su): An animal and hybrid form (gains speed and natural attacks)
-Curse of Lycanthropy (Su)
-AC +2 in animal and hybrid form
-DR 10/silver in animal and hybrid form
-Lycanthropic Empathy (Ex)
-+2 Wis, –2 Cha in all forms; +2 Str, +2 Con in hybrid and animal forms

I also have a couple of mechanical questions regarding the added template.
-Would my character level change? If so, by how much?
-Is there any way to turn off the effect of curse of lycanthropy?
-Are there any ways to stop cure a natural lycanthrope?
-What happens to my clothes and armor if I change shape and increase size?
-Do I have to be in my base form to change between the lycanthrope forms or can I change while in human or fox form?

Thanks in advance for any answers.
