Hi all, i've tried to make a character that can cast spells both arcane and divine and fight good with a long sword, like Final fantasy (or bravely second) Red Mage!

I mixed some classes and archetype, and i got a very strong build (but only playable at high levels).
He can fight and make a lot of damage (32 str + spell combact/strike) buff himself, cure, debuff, resurrect, make elemental damage... it's an al purpose character!

LV 20 half-elf

STR 22
DEX 7
CON 16
INT 10
WIS 7
CHA 18

5 levels of magus - eldritch scion (abysasal bloodline, to grow large)
4 levels of oracle - lunar mystery (cha to AC and Reflex)

1 (10) levels of mystich theurge

10 Levels of Evangelist (theurge algigned)

Also : Eldritch heritage (and improved) Abyssal (+6 str)
Deific Obedience/diverse obedience Shelin (to gain a smite evil ability, good hope SLA and ah always holy-shock weapon).

In Spirit form and mystical focus he gain 32 STR!
3x attacks + 2x claws + gore.
And spell combact of course!

The bad... at level 20 (with a light armor of +4) he only have 19 AC, but he can cast many protective spells from arcane and divine schools.
And he can cast 2 spells in a round thank to the theurge lv10 ability!

with the right traits, at level 20 he cast like a 16lv magus AND a 17lv oracle! Not bad!
He gains Arcana and Revelation (take more with extra feats)

I take the fate's favored bonus and divine fervor + divine power... very strong!

He got alot of class skills, but non many skill points... btw he have +4 to every untrained skills thanks to the Evangelist bonus.
Spirit form is +4 str and an extra gore attack.

What do you think?
I know... i single clss focused magus/oracle will be stronger, but i think that this can be a very fun character concept, and at high level it can be very usefoul.

Hi and sorry for my bad english!

I' tried to make a sacred huntsmaster inquisitor!

I want him to use a longbow and make him something like a hunter.

Inquisitors can make a lot of thing but they don't get many feats... and a longbow user need alot of them!

With just 3 levels of zen archer i will get:

2x bonus feats
point-blank master
weapon focus longbow
flurry with longbow
Wis to hit
Wis to AC
Better safes
More class Skills
No need to buy armors
Manouvre Training
Improved Unarmed Strike (so a nice way to hit if cought in melee)

THAT'S ALOT!!

But i'lose :

3 spell levels (i'should wait until level 7 to cast 2lv inquisitors spells :\ )
3 AC levels (but i'can take boon companion)

Have all inquisitor features delayed for 3x levels.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Better multiclass zen archer or go straight inquisitor??

THANK YOU!

Hi all!

I've made some experiment with Hero Lab for try a strong Dragon Disciple build!
I Want to use the "scaled disciple" feat because i like the idea of a divine dragon, and you can cast divine spells in full plate, so you can dump DEX.

I've some target that i want to achieve with this build:

- Strong melee character with high HP and Armor class with some magic buff;

- Tons of natural attack (7 + 4 iterative attack if use a sword)

- Eldritch Heritage line feats

- Good CMB (expecially with Trip)

So a feat starving build!
I've tried to mix many usefoul classes to make it real...

But let's talk about the build... step by step!

Race : Human (Ulfen) With the "focused study" alternative racial trait. You "lose" the bonus feat... but you gain 3! 2 of them will be required for stronger feats later and i choose "Use Magical Devices" for 3rd.

STR 17 +2 racial = 19
DEX 8
COS 16
INT 8
WIS 7
CHA 16

All your bonus will go to strength (but you need 17 CHAR at high levels to take Greater Heldritch heritage)

LV 1 - PALADIN
Feat : Racial Heritage (Kobold)
Human Feat : Skill Focus (Survival)
The "core". Smite Evil, full armor proficency, high BAB. The 2 feats are prerequisite for this build.

LV 2 - Fighter (Lore Warden)
Bonus feat : "Tail terror".
Fighter is exencial for this build! It give you 2 bonus feat, and with lore warden you gain a 3rd!
It also give you all INT skills as class skills and 4 skill point.
This build have low INT so free skill points will be good!
Use them to knowledge Arcana and Linguistic for DD prerequisites.
Tail terror is you first (weak) natural attack. I'll use the tail attachment that give TRIP for combact maneuvre

LV 3 - ORACLE (Lame, Battle)
Feat : Scaled Disciple
Oracle Revelation : Surprising Charge
I choose "lame" cause later... you can rage.
I' choose Battle for low level usefoul buff spells and Surprising Charge is nice, expecially when you will flies. If used wisely it can be something like a "pounce" for your full attack fury!

But if you have some better advices on Mistery and Revelations please tell me!

LV 4 - Paladin
Divine Grace! Now your safe will shine! (Except for Reflex... your main weak).

LV 5 - Fighter (Lore Warden)
Feat : Eldritch Heritage (Orc)
Bonus feat : Combact Expertise (free from Lore Warden)
Bonus Feat : improved Trip (for boost your tail ability)

LV 6 and 7 - Dragon Disciple
That's the goal of the build.
Take Power Attack as Bonus feat, and Multiattack if you want to use a weapon other then you claws, theet and tail

LV 8 - Ulfen Guard
Rage Power - Fiend totem, lesser

Surprise! yes, another Prestige Class, and now you will be a LG Smiting RAGING Divine Dragon!
And you gain a gore attack too...so 5 natural attacks!

LV 9 - 16 DRAGON DISCIPLE

No more surprise.
Take all the Eldritch Heritage (Orc) feats, and the one that give you 2x wings attacks.

At LV 17 you can grow large and have something like 50STRG, 7 natural attacks and 4 iterative!

You only have 4levels of oracles spells... but there are tons of "luck" bonus buffs, and yo ucan take the Fate Favored traits to boost.

Last 4 levels can be taken in paladin, for more Smite or Oracle for more spells.
Holy Servants will give you both, but need more prerequisite.

Sentinel is also good if you take Deific Obdience. Iomedae and Apsu are both nice.

LV 20 you got :

A beast with 50str, 20 CON, 17 CHA, 35 AC, super Fortitude and Will save (but low Reflex). Almost 300HP

10 attacks.

Breath Weapon, Wings, Smite Evil and Rage.

Some Nice Buff spells.

What do you think? Any suggestions?

SORRY FO MY TERRIBLE ENGLISH!!! :(

Hi everybody

i'm studing the new Vigilante class and its archetypes, and i've got a cool idea to make a strong and fun character.

1 Braweler (Sneakbite)
2 Vigilante, Warlock
3 Vigilante / +1d6 sneak attack talent
4 Vigilante
5 Vigilante

Then Arcane Trickster 10, and the last 5 levels of warlock again or eldritch knight

Trickster is a strange class... it can inflict a lot of damage with sneak attack but it's not good at melee...
It can casts spells but it's safe DC will not be never good as a full caster.

So the best way to use it is to inflict damages with a ranged sneak attack, usually with some spells like scorching ray.

With warlock you got unlimited ranged attack (and makes it a contact attack, too) that you can improve with feats.
it deal just 2d6 damage, but you can use your sneak attacks with it!
So uses illusions or charme spells to help your sneak attack strikes, and uses arcane tricksters ability too.

With this build you will have a less "magical" trickster but you can saves your spell slots for utility and defensive spells and not just for rays!

With the right feats you will throws a 5 or more bolts (at high level) in a round, and if you can get the sneak attack works, they will hits for 9d6 of damage each!
More with the right feats!

This build has a better BAB than "regular" arcane tricksters, a better Fort safe and can cast spells while wearing light armor.
It also have Improved Unarmed Strike so it can make some damage with his fists while flanking (but most of the time avoids to go melee).

At last, i think that is also a nice PC for role play... making him a NG "simple minded" man on day, and a "warlock scundrel" CN at night with alot of skills and magics powers.

I think to make him human, cause it needs a lot of feats, like 2 weapons fights, rapid shots etc...

25 pt build

STR 8
DEX 18
CON 14
INT 18
WIS 10
CHA 8

Any ideas with feats and vigilante talents I should take?

At level 3 or 5 i need the one that boost sneak attacks damage by 1!

Thanks

Hi everybody

I' want to ask you how the Spellbinder Wizard archetype works...

I can Replace spel slots with my favourite spells at the start of every day?

So.. i can actually make a good Thassilonian Specialist/Necromancy and trade my 2 specialized spells with my binded spell (like for example... summon mosnters I ?)

is this a legit combo?

As in the title... what do you think of this?

str 16
dex 10
con 16
int 8
wis 8
cha 15

+2 human bonus go to str, lv 4 ability goes to cha and then al the way up to str!

2x level of Paladin
3x level of magus eldritch Scion

then you can go for Dragon Disciple!

You can cast in Armor, Use spell combact and spell strike with your natural attacks, Smite Evil and divine grace!
You Also get a Magus Arcana.

Wath do you think? It's not one of the most dragon disciple's stable build?

Suggestions?

Hi all, and sorry for my bad English...

I really love the Inquisitors, they're so versatile, strong in battle and funny to play in Role Plaing. You never risking to be bored!

I've found the Evangelist PRC, that is good and versatile itself, and have some good sinergies with the Inquisitor (and it's thematical too), but when i've seen the Erastil's boons I realized that can be a GREAT boost for a Ranged/Animal Companion build... so.. SACRED HUNTSMASTER - EVANGELIST INQUISITOR!

The optimal build will be with an Aasimar/Garuda race, and with Immortal Spark as SLA so i can go into Evangelist a lv4, and play a middle-aged pg without the physical malus.
But i'm trying to make a Human version too, 'cause this build need tons of feats!

Let's begin...

25 pt build:

8
16
16
11
16
7

With racial bonus (+2DEX +2WIS) and middle age mental bonus (but no malus thanks to immortal spark) that become:

STR 8
DEX 18
CON 16
INT 12
WIS 17
CHA 8

Obviously all my next ability increas will be in WIS!

And now.. level by level (but no feats)

1) Domain, monster lore, orisons, stern gaze, Animal Companion
- I've choose Feather Domain (Fly as CS, +2 Init. Bonus to Perception), and a Tiger as my AC (maybe the charger archetype...)

2)Cunning initiative, detect alignment, track

3)Hunter tactics, teamwork feat. Deific Obedience (Erastil)
I've no idea to which teamwork feats is best for my build! Something it can help both me and my tiger!! Suggestions?

[Evangelist, early entry with SLA]
4)Obedience, skilled
Don't know which skills take.. maybe Acrobatic and Disable Devices...

5)Aligned class, protective grace, Animal Focus
And here my PG starts to shine! Aligned class lets him progressing both as Evangelist and as Inquisitor!
Also feather domain will give me a 2nd animal companion.. this is not legal, but it will give me a +2 ability to my tiger!
Is very good!
And with animal focus i can give +2 str to my tiger and +2dex to me! That's good, so i think that Deadly Aim will be my 5th level feat, so i begin to do some real damage.

6)Bane, discern lies, Divine Boon 1 (SLA : Pray)
More, more damage!!

7) Teamwork feat, Gift of Tongues

8) Multitude of Talents
VERY NICE!

9) Improved Empathic Link, Divine Boon 2
THAT'S AMAZING! Erastil 2nd boom will give me a perfect copy of my Animal Companion! At this level the tiger is of big size, with animal focus and a few of teamwork feats... to have 2 of those is really OP!!

10) Protective grace, Teamwork Feats

11) Gift of tongues
Poor level :(

12) Stalwart, Divine Boon 3
The 3rd boon is almost better than the 2nd! You will add your WIS to HIT and DAMAGE with bow! MORE MORE MORE DAMAGE! At this level i will have a pretty high WIS and i can buff wis and dex with spells and magic item... put them together to hit! So wis + deadly aim + bane for damage! BAAM!!!

13) Spiritual Form, Greater Bane, Teamwork Feat
And it become better! Spiritual form will give me Wings (i've fly as class skill thanks to my domain!) and +4 to one ability... i choose WIS so i can boost my atk (and all Inquisitor skills) further! And with greater bane...
...MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE DAMAGE!!!!!!!

[end of Evangelist PRC]
14) Exploit Weakness
More attack boost...

and so on... the last 6 levels are "normal" inquisitor levels.

As you see i write almost no feats... that's because i need an help for traits and feats!
This build have thousand of skills, great safes, and a nice AC, so i think to focus all my feats in archery boost.
I need feats that make me do more attacks and inflicts more damages... any suggestions?

Overall i love this PG, it almost have no weaknesses:

SKILLS : almost all skill class, many skill points, high bonus in perception, survival, sense motive and intimidate. AND +4 to all skills in which i have no ranks!

SAFES : Inquisitor has good FORT and WILL, Evangelist has good REF! But the best is that his better abilities are the three that boost his safes much more!

AC : Middle Armor, Shields, Hig Dex and +2 Dodge... then he can use spells, like Shield of Faith to boost it much more!
Pretty good for a ranged character...

Animal Companion : full level Animal Companion (like a druid), with animal focus, ton of feats and.. i can make it double!

DAMAGE : It start weak, so in the first levels i think that i will use mainly the Tiger... but as you can see "it escalated quickly" and at level 14 with Animal Focus, Great bane, Exploited Weakness, Spiritual Form and Erastil 3rd Boon.. it become AMAZING! And can use spells to boost too...

SPELLS : 6 level of spells, Wis based and spontaneous casting... with a very good and versatile, spells selection!

What do you say?
Any suggestion on my built? Especially for traits and feats...

Sorry again for my bad English, and for have writed so many words.. but as you see... i really love this concept!

Thanks

I really love the Dragon Disciple, maybe it's not the most optimized class in Pathfinder, but it's versatile and have a great "flavor".

I'm working in a WIS build, focused on meele fight with natural weapon.
To make this i use Crossblooded Draconic/Empyreal Sorcer, that use WIS instead of CHA.

I think to start with 2x level of ranger.. to gain natural weapon proficency and ermanent claws at lv2. Im'looked at "Guide" archetipe, and maybe Trapper to gain Disable Device

Then i go to 2 level of Monk, master of Many Styles, to take 2 Dragon Style Feats! I can take it with a second archetype, Monk of The Mountain, it give you natural Armor and Thougness at first level.. nice!
With monk you can add WIS bonus to AC, so i need to boost my WIS as much as i can!
I Also need that feats that make me use Combact Styles with natural weapons...

1 Level of Sorcerer.. then.. Dragon disciple!

Now.. i need some advices... Wich race i can choose? How i should setup my abilities? This way i can dump CHA, but need the others very high!

Wich Feats and traits are the best? And when i should take them?

Thanks, and sorry for my bad English!

Hi to all, this is my first post here!

Sorry for my bad English but i'm Italian!

I was thinking about a strange build... an Arcane Trickster 3LV Rogue and 3LV... WITCH!

Why witch and not Wizard??
I choose Witch because i can take the White-Haired Archetype and get an addictional attack (ranged and with CM) that use INT!

With hair i can constrict.. and eventually pin or trip my enemies, so i can make a lot of Sneak Attacks to them while flat footed, with my normal weapon ( a knife... because i choose Kinfe Master rogue archetype).

I can take the mage Hand cantrip with a trait, or by Rogue Talent "minor magic" so i can become Arcane Trikster at lv7

This build is extremely versatile, tons of skill point and class skills, optimized ability cost (just max dex / int / cons and dump every others!), many utility spells, cure wounds, buff/debuff and some elemental damage... it will be a fun character to play, and it help in battle too with the hair/sneak combo!

What do you think about this? Is this a legal build?
How can i optimize that? Wich patron i could take?

Thanks
