I'm going to miss y'all too! Flo was the first ever AP character I had accepted in an open recruitment...

...five years ago. I know we, as a player group and party of characters have had some ups and downs, different looks, and a few different cast members (and possibly even more GMs XD), but it has been an amazing time :) After almost 1250 posts with her, tbh, it is a little bit like letting go of a part of myself!

GM, thank you for arranging such a great send off, it felt really good to have Flo's end match the meaning the character and this group has/had for me.

This table has been one of the best I've sat at in PbP or FtF and I wish y'all the best :)

The still water coalesces into a cocoon. We can't do this alone, but we can't fail Turtleback!

Concealing Flo, the watery prison becomes evermore lifelike. Streams become strands as it continues to expand around her. Whatever is to emerge from this, it's going to be big.

Dwarfing the nearby houses, a trio of feathery antennae are the first to free themselves, followed shortly by the first of three pairs of slender, segmented legs. In eerie silence, it rips free from the cocoon and unfurls its mighty wings to their full length. The tips graze the buildings across the street.

Huge, purple orbs set astride a curled proboscis stare only at the Black Magga. With two heavy beats of its wings it launches its bulk at the abomination and clings to its face, fanged maw now clamped shut. Despite flailing and thrashing, it cannot be shook free. Antennae rub together urgently and the resulting soundwave is easily tracked through the downpour. Answering the call is a frantic eclipse of moths.

Turning ephemeral as they close in, the moths collide with the Black Magga's body and tentacles, searing its flesh. Strange words ring in the onlooker's minds as one of the purple orbs are pressed to the Black Magga's red.

"You harm Turtleback no more! When you meet the Mother of Beasts, Floredana, Symphony of the Rivers, sent you!"

We are all dying... Flo realizes as Guiness takes a severe beating, Kargas only managing to thrash and burble. "NO! THIS CAN'T BE IT!" she shouts above the howling wind.

Starsong, Lady Luck, Queen of the North Star, Mother Moon, we need you now more than ever, bless us with the strength to push through for the townsfolk... please... They drown and we are soon to join them. Flo raises her arms and starts to dance. Slowly, at first, she gracefully, solemnly weaves circles on the roof top, spinning, then churning as the pace quickens. The raindrops stand still and accumulate all around her as she begins to radiate divine magic. Her eyes close as she yields herself to the building power of her ritual.

It's not enough! We're barely doing anything to it! Underscoring her sentiment, a fresh corpse from one of the destroyed houses is ferried past her by the strong current. "We have to hurry, people are dying!" she urges her friends over the pouring rain.

Pointing at Kargas as he goes under, she sends a swarm of glowing bumblebees to harry the tentacle enough to give him an opportunity to escape. Then, gesturing with both hands, she funnels her signature kaleidoscope of ethereal butterflies to Guiness. There aren't enough of us, how are we going to make it through this?

Immediate action to cast Liberating Command on Kargas (who gets an immediate action to try an Escape Artist with a +18 bonus to escape the grapple!), 5ft step, Luck on Guiness! Can Flo use her Dimensional Hop ability to pluck Kargas from the grapple and move him back to the roof he was on? It would be a move action for her to do so and only if the Liberating Command didn't work (which it certainly might not!).

"As a haven for travelers along the river, none shall seek to destroy this town unchallenged!" Flo asserts, the strength of the Divine filling the hearts, minds, and limbs of her companions. With Guiness' assault being the only movement before her buff (per my interpretation of the GM's post), I believe she can get everyone with her Blessing of Fervor. Don't forget you can choose which benefit each round!

Following the frontline, she alights on a rooftop behind Kargas but still with clear sight of Guiness. That can't be a good squeeze! With a deep breath, she raises her ringed hand and it's companion on Kargas' hand glows.

Flo follows Kargas towards the snake with the wounded child. Stopping around twenty feet away, she keeps the child from bleeding out.

Move and cast stabilize! Assumed the kid wasn't stable, but fear that a reach cure spell might wake them up, which would probably make it worse.

Flo makes her way over to Guiness and casts a Fly spell upon the Dwarf from a scroll. From her own magic, she grants it to herself as well, wings and all!

She does her best to wave Colvyn in. "We've helped who we can at this point. There were huuuuge snakes, or something like that, swimming through the water, totally unaffected by it. They were heading that way," she explains, pointing east. "I say we check them out. The Elders should be able to handle the villagers who've escaped."

Fly scroll for Guiness and extended Fly for herself! She has a swim speed, but that's some rough water. And with ambiguous aquatic foes, she'll dip into the drink when she really needs to!

Flo starts where she is and makes a circle around the center group of houses. From her perch atop a house, she catches sight of... something and reflexively traces Desna's wings over her heart. THAT is NOT good!

Flo stares in disbelief as Colvyn simply takes off on wings of fire. "WE'LL MEET YOU THERE, STAY SAFE!" she calls after him.

"Everyone join hands! We won't have much time to get people out of Turtleback, but some lives are better than none!" She proclaims, extending her hands out to the two friends closest to her.

The area around the party starts to shimmer with white light. "Desna, we are but humble travelers who wish for the safety of others on their path. As wisps of a fading dream, whisk us to Turtleback so we may warn people of the coming flood!" As she completes her prayer, the light's brightness peaks abruptly before fading just as quickly. The group finds themselves just as wet and cold, but in front of the Elder's hall at Turtleback. Assuming the place doesn't have teleportation traps or whatever -_-

Flo can cast Fly on some people, Longstrider on herself, and/or Teleport herself and three others. Teleport is obviously the fastest, but there is the risk we're a bit off-base. GM do we have any indication how long before the flood hits? What is our actual distance from Turtleback?

These Lamia are clearly excellent at worming their way into other organizations. Really makes you wonder how much is real and how much is just a facade... Not to mention those Doppelgangers we fought!

Where I'd imagine the dam for the Storval Deep to be, that certainly isn't on the way. Flo would be content to just follow the river down to Turtleback then. We can cross/checkout the bridge part way down! I say we leave some food/water for the Black Arrows and head out, unless Jakardos is eager for us to stay.

Any thoughts on what to do next?

I think reporting our efforts to Turtleback would be good, we can close that loop. Then going back to Magnimar to basically do the same.

GM, in handouts there is a map of the region. What are our options for determining the safety of the waterways? Looks like the Storval Deep feeds into the Claybottom. With a sudden deluge, is there risk of flooding? Are there dams or something we could check for Turtleback on the way? If not, I say we just start making the trip to Turtleback!

Flo leads her typical morning prayer to the Song of the Spheres, inviting the remaining Black Arrows to join her. Caravan Bond, if they'd be willing!

"Does it normally rain this hard out here?" she asks, slipping an arm out against the falling water. She can't help but to smile as it pours down her arm. Not quite like swimming, but still feels nice. I know the others are going to hate this.

"Any tips on expediting this return trip? This much rain would make any journey treacherous."

"A message to Magnimar? I can help with that too. If you get twenty-five words together, we have a colleague who's a Sergeant in the Guard and the ear of the Lord-Mayor," Flo explains. "From what I understand, this Fort plays a significant role in the regional security. I think it would be neglectful if something happened because we weren't willing to communicate it's need quickly enough. By Desna's grace I can get a message to the Sergeant in ten minutes."

"I agree with Colvyn," she continues, smirking a bit at the flaring machismo. "I think it would be worth check the grounds for any interesting tidbits, securing a few rooms, then getting some rest."

Without a sign that we've dealt with Lucretia, I think any more fights that aren't against her will only make the fight against Lucretia harder via drained resources. I say we keep heading to the top and hope we find her next! If we tackle the rest of the Ogres below us, we'll probably have to rest before fighting her and at that point she might flee or just bring the fight to us, knowing we're likely at our lowest point.

Before she manages to finish her questioning, she's launched with a blur back into the waking world, sucking in a huge gulp of air. "WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN SOON?!" she shouts in anger, smacking her fists against the floor.

"Thank you, Kellek," she whispers as she manages to process her current orientation. "At least the swing that put me down was aimed for me, right?" she says weakly. Her hand swirls with butterflies as she waits for someone to strike the remaining Ogre.

Flo looks over her body, straightening her clothes out. "Ogres, I think. We're liberating a Black Arrow Fort from Ogres. Their leader is part of a group that's been threatening my home. Our home," she corrects. "My family live on the Lampblack and my friends in the cities of Varisia. We've been trying to keep these communities safe," she explains.

The woman in the moon nods her head in consideration. "You've been keeping routes and hubs safe for travelers, marvelous! Simply marvelous!" the voice proclaims, humming gently into Flo's mind. "Yet, I sense your work has yet to conclude. Soon, but not yet. Soon. You don't wish for it to be so, but your priorities will be checked soon. I'll speak no further on the issue, but prepare yourself for an abrupt change. I see it nestled on the horizon of your fate."

A beautiful woman lounging in the crescent moon stares down at her, curiously. The Undine feels a melodic voice in her mind. "My child, now is not your time. What journey brings you to the Sevenfolds?"

I'm happy to have Flo wait a round before channeling, or even moving to the edge of the pit before doing so now. It looks like she can either get Guiness and her, or "everyone but Guiness" and her, so...

Is it just me or am I often having to choose between Guiness and the party when it comes to healing? Our brave Dwarf stops at nothing to defend us! :D

Looooooool XD Also Kargas should be at 34pts of damage from Shield Other and Flo at 53 for the same reason.

Staggering with pain as Kargas apparently takes a beating, Flo slowly moves deeper into the fog and channels before things get more dangerous.
