I have the same amount of credit and am doing the same as well. I will also be purchasing the Hero Lab add-on for it as I can use that for a swift look at what is going on with the character before I write it all out in a character sheet.

Instead of the Naming Sourcebook you have I use a Baby Name book for NPCs and sometimes for my characters when stuck on what to name them.

Really otherwise it is simply me doing things like finding floor layouts for real castles or building to build my buildings.

Liberty's Edge

I am dancing with excitement! I want this so much. I am playing an Ifrit Wishcrafter currently. I am so eager to get this book to see how it works and I hope that it is an excellent books.

We have actually played with this a great deal and found it did not break the game at all in any way. We just applied it in a broad stroke to all classes that only had a base 2 skill points. Mostly just to make it easier in case it has been a hard week for people. Really my group is odd anyways we tend to be more skill heavy and skew towards seeing if we can avoid killing things.

((This has been demonstrated in our RotRL game. We have amassed and army of goblins and ogres to defend Sandpoint from the giant army. It was complete RP and the GM wanted to see if we could pull it off.))

Liberty's Edge

We use the cards as well. Honestly when it happened to me, I just had to re-string the bow which is a pain in combat.

It was a ruling we did for simplicity and the fact bow strings can break and I guess even ones on magic bows. We figured the bow was magical not the string as in the real world you do not leave your bow fully strung and might unstring it in order to protect the string from a sudden snap.

I guess it comes down to how complicated you want to make it. If it was the weapon broke i would agree on the more complex, but a string is usually easier to replace and might need to replaced sometimes anyways. Depends on your GM really.

Just saw this and had to chime in. Currently I have 3 cats and in June when I move I will be adding a dog to the mix.

All three cats are black. I have two girls and one boy.

Sierra is my oldest at about I want to say 9-10 years old (I forget what year I got her). Sierra is also a rather decent sized cat and stands about 12" tall. Makes for an imposing figure, but prefers to be very inactive regardless of what I do to entice play.

Houdini is next in line at 6 years of age. She is a tiny petite cat and looks so tiny when compared to the other two. She is also my very lady-like cat. Well up until she sees a mouse and then we have pure hunter for her. She is also a very agile fast cat.

Merlin is the youngest and coming up on a year old now. Found him as an abandoned feral in my yard. He was about 3-4 weeks old and I took him in. He has his wild moments, but is a very affectionate cat all told. He does scarf his food down in such a way that he always makes a rather large mess.

In June I am getting Anghus, a border collie mix. My sister rescued him last August from a bad situation, but her husband said he was too old to be trained. I was told he was about 7-8 months old and he views that as too old to train. I rolled my eyes at the excuse. He loves cats and views them as potential new friends thankfully. This is more due to the fact my sister does have a cat along with the dogs they do have.

My sister found Anghus to be uncontrollable and was going to take him to the shelter when my mom thought to ask if I would want him since I always wanted a dog. I agreed and have given my mother advice for training until I get out there. Number one thing she had to do first was housebreak him. That was done within a week right after mom bought a crate on my advice to crate train him as well. I am looking forward to finally having a dog of my own.

I'll do a new post later with names. We started this to introduce my nieces and nephew to the game. They come and go as their interest dictates.

They run:
Kitsune Wizard
Half-Elf Ranger
Wolf (my nephew is the youngest so he gets an animal to play)

The rest of us are playing and relying on our skills to get through the game as kids don't really think things through all the time.

We run:

Ifrit Cleric of Sarenrae
Dwarf Paladin of Torag (Stonelord)
Half-Orc Ranger
Ifrit Sorcerer (Wishcrafter)(Efreeti Bloodline)

I have the sorcerer, the GM really encouraged me to play her. He mentioned genies playing a big part of this and he (plus the others) thought it would be cool to have a wish granting genie on our side of the battle.

If I recall since I have it. That is indeed a doll. A rag doll to be precise and it looks a bit scary. I have not painted mine up yet, but it is also carrying a rather large knife for its size.

I didn't know this project but… is it a Tarrasque without trademark?

I believe it just that. At least that is what everyone is calling it after repeated lobbying for a Tarrasque in the reaper forums for one. Apparently despite it not being a highly used mini many people wanted one.

I am one who requested it as well as several others I intend to purchase or bought. I might ha ve to work it in to a game after painting it though.

Liberty's Edge

Hmm. I had to learn the magus in full and that took me a bit. I had to re-read some of the rules frequently, but I finally got all the modifiers straight. I also finally got Spell Combat and Spellstrike correct.

I'll also say after about 5 levels one of my friends finally got the hang of playing a spell caster. She always played rogues before and I encouraged her to try something new. Since I was going to play I agreed to coach her on it when she asked. It took about 5 levels to get the hang of how casters work, but she now plays them in addition to her beloved rogues.

Liberty's Edge

To put this slightly on topic...

I normally play with groups that are more male heavy. Mostly white, but I believe that is more coincidence than anything as those are the one who usually approach me. I also might not have noticed as I usually concern myself more with how well the group is working together or a plan.

I just started on Roll20 and I can't say fully on those what they all identify as or even always know what race. I think I have someone with hispanic heritage due to his accent, which he mentioned was mexican. Generally I don't ask people about the religion, sexual orientation, or how they identify. If I say he and the actually identify as she I will shift if I am corrected on the matter.

I generally feel how they identify will be taken care of if I get it wrong, but generally I use their names to avoid confusion. I only use gender pronouns when I am certain of gender. When it comes to religion and sexual orientation I feel that is their business and not mine, so I don't go asking about it.

If they show up on time, have fun, and respect everyone at the table I don't really care beyond that. And that was long-winded way to say though all of the previous factors play into games and should be addressed to me part of that is hitting a point where you have to ask "What is a traditional gaming group?"

When we get to the point we have to clarify that statement it likely will have become a non-issue. That would be a very good thing in my mind.

Liberty's Edge

I use both. I use real dice when we are sitting around a physical table. But for VTT I use a dice roller.

I like rolling dice as shown by the fact I buy dice when I can and never turn them away.

I have decided this will become a book I need to purchase. I will have to pick up a physical copy though as I am teaching my niece to play the game currently. I was about her age when my mom started to teach the game to me. So this will make it easier if she asks questions on how to play a certain class, as it will have the information she can read in a much easier fashion.

Liberty's Edge

My group and I were going over the various classes and started on this one. Each person in my group has a specialty you could say. Each of us understands certain types of classes well enough that we can easily make them very powerful classes. Which has been making things far more interesting with this as these are making us all break from our normal as we find classes we enjoy and want to play. The new one for me was the Warpriest, but divine casters and classes are not my specialty usually.

Now I am building an Arcanist as arcane spell casters are pretty much my domain in the game. I specialize in them and pretty much run them constantly with only a few changes in them. I will say that I am unlikely to use metamagic with this class, but I don't really ever use metamagic with my mages. I would rather buy a metamagic wand rather than spend a feat on them.

With that said this looks like it will give me some fun options and I am liking the look of the exploits. I am very eager to play this class. It lets me hit somethings I have always wanted. I do hope some of the other exploits that will be released will help hit more flavors in other schools. I would love to see some intriguing necromancy exploits, illusion, conjuration, and divination exploits.

I definitely want see more options, but then I am a huge fan of options. I like having lots of fiddly bits on a class to play with. So far it does not look overpowered, but I have to coax someone to GM so I can give it an honest try out.

I have to say on all of these classes almost all of them have us saying we want to try a new class. The only one who is not outside his comfort zone is the guy playing a swashbuckler. He is simply finally in his element with a class that is hitting his play style. There is some interest in the Arcanist from our resident divine class player finally in an arcane class. He usually rejects them, so I would count that as a win for Paizo.

Liberty's Edge

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Alright. I looked this over and I am thrilled with this class. I have a character I have been trying to port from another game system for years, but her spell casting never fully meshed with Pathfinder. The system had you store spells in a grimoire, but you could then cast any spell you knew. The catch was it was too dangerous to do that so you had to prepare the spells you wanted on a daily basis.

For anyone who wants to know the game is Earthdawn, the original version. I love my elementalist in there and this class will actually allow me to rebuild her almost perfectly with a few adjustments to account for it being a different game and class. I'll finish building her later and go over the class in full as I do.

Liberty's Edge

My friday group decided to work on play testing the classes. They elected to a one to use our normal rules and races for this. This is due to the fact they want to know how the classes operate in our game. I am gathering initial impressions, build impressions, and how they feel it played. We are also using the deities for the homebrew world

Now to let you know some of my rules. We do 4d6 drop the lowest no stat below 10. We also don't apply the -2 to stats from races. My races are point wise on par with the allowed races in the ARG.

I will start with mine as I have to wrangle my players when they arrive to do this as well. I am running a demon-spawn tiefling. She chose a deity who could normally have paladins.

Initial Impression:
I thought on the first read through that it was a lot like a divine magus. This caught my attention, as after I played a magus for the first time I loved it. I also loved the concept as it made me want to rebuild a cleric I had built in 2nd edition AD&D. It has been a very long time since I wanted to play a divine character, which was welcome as my very first character was a Human Cleric of Celestian. I liked the look of the blessings, but felt there was a bit of a hamper with where some powers were and some better suited to other deities were too tied to domains they did not have.

Building Impressions:
The character turned out fairly well, as she got a good strength and decent stats elsewhere. She came together fairly quickly though I disliked the lack of skill points I can live with it. The free Weapon Focus along with the bonus feat might be a bit much. I will know later.

I took Improved Initiative and Toughness as my first level feats. The deity weapon is a khopesh. I have her wearing a chain shirt though I could move it up, but I wanted to keep the mobility for now. I also bought a heavy steel shield. So I am sitting at a 19 AC and with Shield of Faith I can move that up to a 21. Divine Favor will buff up my to hit and damage rolls a bit more.

So right now I feel like it is not like a magus quite as much as I had hoped. I kinda wish it had been more like the magus as that is now my go-to arcane class. I love the flexibility of the magus and was hoping to see a repeat here in the Warpriest.

Liberty's Edge

Now. These are just impressions I have currently. This is doing my first impressions and then what I got while building. Please not this is using rules for my group. We roll stats in my group and so this is from the perspective of using rolled stats and not point buy. Basically we wanted to know how the classes would interact with our house rules.

Since my group prefers to roll stats we all did that and it likely helped with the sting this class might feel. We also had voted to use the homebrew world for deities just to see how that interacted on this class. I chose to build a demon-spawn Tiefling who follows the Sun God, he is also a god of war and protection.

As she sits she looks decent, but it might be due to her having rolled stats. I might be wincing with point buy. I will see shortly how this plays out as we want to run them through encounters from already played adventures as we already know how the base classes work in the same encounters.

Liberty's Edge

Alright. I am letting people run these in a couple of games I actually use. So no guarantee that they will advance normally. I have a Bloodrager in my Rise of the Runelords on Saturday (We start this saturday). We are also doing a full test on friday with 5 of these classes and just doing battles to see how it work. Bloodrager is also a class in that test. I will make sure to not whether my posts are from my Saturday group or my Friday group.

These are being tested under my normal rules. So my players roll their stats and I will note if any other house rules change how the game plays. Most of my rules are clarifications.

I am having them write their initial impressions and their impression while building the class fro the game. My Saturday play forgot to write the initial impression. He did write the impression he got while building. I am pulling his impression from the Roll20 site and so this will be in his words. I can ask him questions if you need anything clarified.

Saturday Building Impression:

From Building the character it seems the Bloodrager itself is a very ability stat heavy class needing everything at a decent level, If it wasn't for good rolls may be hard to play in some campaigns They need all the standard Barbarian stats Plus Decent Charisma now for there spells.

Would have liked to see a new spell list just for them instead of using the Magus's and a few more bloodlines to choose from. They gain the utility from spells but lose alot of the cool Rage Powers Barbarians had access to instead.

They may also want to change a few of the prestige classes such as Rage Prophet to allow this class to access in addition to several other feats
reworded to allow this to work such as Eldritch Bloodline

So, here is my suggestion:

Divine Spell Combat: At 1st level, a Warpriest learns to cast spells and wield his weapons at the same time. As a full-round action, he can make all of his attacks with his melee weapon at a –2 penalty and can also cast a spell he is capable of casting with a casting time of 1 standard action. This spell must either have a range of personal, or target the Warpriest. If he casts this spell defensively, he can decide to take an additional penalty on his attack rolls, up to his Wisdom bonus, and add the same amount as a circumstance bonus on his concentration check. If the check fails, the spell is wasted, but the attacks still take the penalty. A Warpriest can choose to cast the spell first or make the weapon attacks first, but if he has more than one attack, he cannot cast the spell between weapon attacks.

I just want to say if you do it this way you might as well use the full ou Magus version of it which is any spell that has a casting time of 1 standard action. It would give them a bit more flexibility.

Lord_Malkov wrote:

Well... its disappointing, sort of. I mean the cleric is already really solid, that its hard to pack too much in there.

But I have to say, what I wanted to see was a sort of reverse Spellstrike divine class. But rather than casting a spell on their opponent, they can instead cast a spell on themselves there are all sorts of great buffs available to clerics, but it is often hard to be able to get them cast just before a combat.

If a Warpriest could cast a single spell with range of personal or a single target spell that targeted themselves (like a cure) as part of a full attack action by taking -2 on their attacks... that seems like it would be pretty cool and actually unique.

They could lose the bonus feats for all I care, and the whole Magic weapon/magic armor thing. The only thing I would add aside from this would be effective fighter level = class level for feats that apply to your deity's favored weapon.

Just want to say. What you are describing is more akin to Spell combat on the Magus. Which lets you cast any spell with a standard action. It operates pretty much as you stated. The variation of Magus for weapons was folded into that.

I do like the look of Magic Weapon/Armor and the bonus feats. That all sort of reminds me of the magus, but without the in combat spell casting abilities and bonuses of the magus. I was expecting that on my first glance at the class as my impression was a divine magus with blessings instead of arcana. I will see how this plays on friday, but right now I see areas that could be improved just by borrowing a few magus tweaks for it, but I want to see how it runs before deciding.

I already had to tell a player to try a class and see how it runs then give how it runs. So I will wait and see how it runs for me with variant channeling on friday.

Liberty's Edge

My first read through impression when I glanced at was a divine magus. I could have fun with this as I enjoy the Magus a lot.

Looking it over more in depth as I make one to test on friday fro my game then. I'm wishing it had that twist, but I will see on Friday.

Thus far I am thinking it just might be the perfect class to apply variant channeling to as presented Ultimate Magic. That might make their getting channeling a bit more useful as no one in my group uses them as they would rathe simply heal HP damage. So I might try that concept with it.

Liberty's Edge

I just had a player ask me this who is thinking of playing with a Warpriest. He was thinking Magus 3 for Broad Study and then Warpriest.

Stack Spell Combat with Sacred Weaponary. Both state they stack with other enhancements to a maximum of +5. Would they stack with each other?

I can't wait for this. I told my group about the play test last night. They are xo excited they decided to postpone Wrath of the Righteous to test these. We have 3 GMs in the group and so are going to try something another GM wants to do which is a collaborative game where we know what the monsters can do and plan the monster tactics and the group to their full potential. Since there are 5 of us we already have the classes we will test first selected.

We will be using:

Bloodrager- This player has called this class since it was announced

Brawler- My monk player called this one as she thinks she would love it

Skald- The group's divine caster thought this would be tons of fun

Swashbuckler- My insane player already acts like one so it will be interesting to see what he does when given class mechanics to do what he RPS and uses skills for

Warpriest- Will be me. I think it could be interesting and it is the first time I have been interested in a divine class

And be very grateful that I have a reasonable GM when I get to play. He only jokes that my character can only make animal sounds. He never intended to enforce it on me, thankfully. I love this book and love the new race, skin walker. I have found one issue though in the race upon a second review because I decided to make a character with the race. I was making a witch, so I have a high intelligence.

I went to see what languages I could select only to find no languages listed. Not even just common. Is this an oversight? If so what languages should they have access to?

Liberty's Edge

Hmmm. It took a bit, but they are redeeming people now. Only a small start and one is an inquisitor of Sarenrae, redemption inquisition.

They have a random tiefling looter who is now in a relationship with the inquisitor. Cereberus was only neutral so not too hard to work over.

The sorcerer decided she had to have Faxon(She thinks he looks sorta like Darth Maul) and is redeeming him. SHe is making progress. I just have to decide on his penances.

They have decided to redeem Nurah, but are not trusting her fully while she pings as Evil.

Thank you so much evil Lincoln! That will be very useful to me.. My friends will be very happy to see I can adjust as those virtual rolls were slaughtering them last week and they like to be surprised on what happens with my rolls.

Liberty's Edge

I meet with my group in person, but since I am moving next summer I went looking for a VTT I could use with no additional costs. I hit upon Roll20 and we started testing it last week. We will be using it again this week.

Thus far it looks great and works very well. Surprisingly it cut down some prep time and some lulls in the game as I could have the maps ready to go right off the bat. Fog of war helps me beautifully in keeping them from seeing things in advance and everyone seemed to love it.

Our worst rolling player switched to the virtual dice roller. He rolled better using that than he does with real dice. They all switched to that as they noticed no difference between their dice rolls and the computer (aside from the guy who has rolled nat ones several times in a row with real dice). They also enjoyed setting up Macros fro their dice rolls so they could get it all done in one roll.

I saw more streamlined combat since they could just run through them easily and they loved the Turn Tracker. They actually mostly were ready on their turn. I just wish I could hide my dice rolls and use the roller as well. My players want me to keep my rolls a secret from them.

All in all so far it is a very positive experience. I am very much planning to pay them for getting even more features. I just need some money, but that will be resolved at some point as my mother has offered to pay for the sub. I also plan to point out they can donate money to help me pay for a subscription to them.

Liberty's Edge

Paizo site has it listed as available to order. Paizo's policy is when you can purchase it form them you can purchase it from your local store.

Liberty's Edge

I am very glad that was cleared up. I would have been saying no a lot or banning the ratkin from games.

Liberty's Edge

This looks like lots of fun! I have always like playing lycans and this looks like a way to play them. I can't wait to get my hands on the book.

Liberty's Edge

I would let it happen as well. I have been very happy with this redemption theme in the AP. It fits my player's mind sets. They love finding ways to redeem monsters or NPCs so we have a new ally or simply for the challenge of it.

I find it amusing to see who they will redeem and who they will not. So far in this APThey have taken 2 random tieflings and worked on them. They also managed to convince Faxon to join them. They failed on Jeslyn and Orthirubo. I'm waiting to see who else they work on to join their side.

Liberty's Edge

ALright. We finished book one and my party is all settled with what they want including selected Cohorts.

Davor: Half-Orc Inquisitor of Sarenrae (Heirophant/Marshal)
Cohort: Cerberus [Redeeming} Tiefling Rogue

Govad: Aasimar Oracle [Battle] (Heirophant/Champion)

Medeia: Tiefling Sorcerer [Wild-blooded Linnorm Tattoed] (Archmage)
Cohort: Faxon [Redeeming] Tiefling Witch

Raphael Wyvernsbane: Dhampir Magus (Archmage/Champion)
Cohort: Akatsuki Rosae [his wife] Kitsune Druid [Reincarnate]

Govad's player is still debating taking follower. He might if only because everyone else has and he usually follows the status quo if he can find a way to make things more powerful for himself in combination.

Medeia's player has not yet confirmed her selections beyond taking Archmage.

Liberty's Edge

Feros has it right. The paladin can associate with evil for the greater good if they have the same goal. They simply must seek an atonement periodically and he cannot have the dretch as a cohort unless it become LG.

I do agree an exception should be made if the paladin is actively trying to redeem the evil character or creature. That is considered a very impressive feat amongst paladins and clerics and this is AP is set up to have people who can be redeemed.

This is actually intriguing and I look forward to hear what happens with Kreggal.

Liberty's Edge

I want this as a familiar almost too much. It is far too cute and it plays on my love of foxes. I hope they are an Improved Familiar as well as it seems perfect for at least one mage concept.

I think I mentioned somewhere before what happened when I played and my dad ran the games. We had round robin GMing at the time, but the main GMs were my mom and dad. This came about when my mom revealed the third GM was cheating when he ran. It also pulled in the rule of no GMPCs ever.

Anyways I had several things happen, but mainly the only thing I recall is spending every other week making a new character. The only time they lasted longer than two weeks was when my mom GMed. He literally focused on my character every time. Also despite having proven I could run a spellcaster of any type, a paladin, and a thief I was always informed that being a minor I was too inexperienced and incapable of running anything but human fighters. I had also run most of the races in AD&D at some point.

His worst offense against me is when I was banned for a few months due to grades. When I returned I found out to my horror he had allowed the guy who dislike women playing in the game to run my character. She had been played as not liking him, arguing with him, and even standing up to him despite him being a troll skyraider. He played as completely pliant, hero worshiping him and even making advances on him. The only reason the rest of what he wanted did not happen is my mom was actually able to rejoin the group after a month and laid claim to the character. That warrior was later killed my dad when he put us in a no win scenario. Either I held the pillars and let the party escape or we all die. Either way my character would die.

To my mom he made a dungeon of riddles. To get through a door you had to get the answer correct. My mom and the party rogue had gotten through them all. At the last door to get through you had to open the door while wearing a metal helmet. Neither she nor the rogue was wearing one. She was a wizard with all that entailed and he simply wore leather as most rogues did. She found his notes in the divorce and confirmed her suspicions he had changed the answer to spite her and the rogue. Her character was made insane and transported to another plane of existence. The rogue was turned to stone.

Liberty's Edge

Well since one of my players decided to revive an old character of his that died early on I guess I get to play the cohort. He decied to take leadership and have the cohort be his character's wife. She was my character.

So I am playing a long-suffering Kitsune Druid who reincarnates when she dies. She is long suffering because she frequently has to reign in her husband. If they are not his wife or children he has no patience and so she frequently has to keep his temper in check. This should be a great deal of fun as I will only be doing the RP not tactics or any other rolls. It will make things interesting to say the least

Liberty's Edge

Glad I could help a GM with more ideas. That is a good build on Scaevola. Too bad my players have not tried redeeming any demons yet. They did try to capture Jeslyn alive to attempt redeeming her. I'll have these ideas filed away for the next run as I am certain I will run it again some time in the future.

Liberty's Edge

I agree with Tangent on the issue, but everyone runs their game differently. I know my group embraces redemption, but it takes shaking them up to get them to view fiends or celestials as being capable of switching sides. So far they are embracing a lot of things and are warming up to the redemption even more heavily than usual. Mostly because I added in the incentive of allies if they pull off the redemption.

I like how Chuck is running his campaign. Also for all we know the dretch may have been a follower of Iomedae who slowly fell to evil. That would add a whole new layer as to why the dretch outprayed the two PCs and add more to why Iomedae is interested in the party.

Liberty's Edge

I actually did that with my group. Only one player has played a cleric before and really they never thought of it though in various scenarios. To get them on the idea I had them making Knowledge (religion) hecks as James suggests.

It felt right and worked due to two of them being divine based characters. Three of them until the druid died so I felt they should have an idea of such things. I also made secret rolls for their deities to nudge them into acting. Anything they felt they could not deal with immediately they made a point to deal with once they defeated Jeslyn.

They liked it and I was not wholly bothered. My group already embraces the other big theme of the AP and have done so for a long time. They like being able to redeem the enemy or find a way to not kill things when possible.

Liberty's Edge

My group finished on Friday and since I allowed them to roll stats I simply went in and rebuilt encounters to make them more challenging. I missed a few and had to run them as written. Though they will recall the end fight of the Grey Garrison the best. I added some mooks to those last two fights before the babaus.

They found it far better than the babau encounter as they actually had people go down against both the minotaur and Jeslyn. The minotaur hurt badly enough they actually request I pull in an NPC with them. They thrilled at how they burned through all their spells and abilities on those two fights.

My end group looks like this as we did lose one character by the choice of the player. He felt his concept was winding up horrible in the game as he was focused on dealing electric damage.

Davor: Half-Orc Inquisitor of Sarenrae (Redemption)
Govad: Aasimar (Angelkin) Oracle (Battle)
Medeia: Tiefling (Demon-Spawn) Sorcerer (Linnorm: Acid)
Raphael Wyvernsbane: Dhampir Magus

Their soon to be Cohorts

Cerberus: Tiefling Rogue
Faxon: Tiefling Witch (If they can redeem him)
Akatsuki Wyvernsbane: Kitsune Druid (Reincarnating)- Wife to Raphael

I am waiting on the final decisions of the party about paths. The group did manage to get all of the devotion points. More because of how they were acting and being careful. This should be interesting in Book Two though

Liberty's Edge

I like the idea. My group just finished off the first book. I would allow them to attempt to redeem a demon. Then again the chose to take on a tiefling looter because he surrendered and shifted gears from looting to thinking things could be more fun with the party. They also decided to take in another looter who turned out to be a teenager and start training him to be a good fighter.

Finally the sorceress decided to redeem Faxon. She appealed to him with some sweet talk and worked to appeal to his insecurity about the rituals. After a few minutes he surrendered and agreed to let her continue the intriguing the dialogue.

The party intends to take Leadership to take in these people and redeem them fully or have them as cohorts. it makes for an intriguing game though.

Liberty's Edge

1 person marked this as a favorite.

My mom tossed in on this one. She got Wave 2 as they are apparently doing the pledge as either $1 and add in the add-ons or $100 for the core plus add-ons. Like before the add-ons cost extra.

The pledges are being done in waves. The waves represent when they believe they should be starting shipping for that group of pledgers. So basically the size of your order will not be a factor. The wave you pledged in will be the factor of when you get it.

Also they plan to do updates twice a month once it ends even if they have nothing to report. Reaper just shut down for the night and they were at about 949,000 dollars right before I posted this.

Liberty's Edge

My first spellcaster I played fully. Flamehawke is a Human Elementalist. She has done a lot in the time I have gotten to play her and I have been playing her off and on for years. Everytime we play Earthdawn I pull her and her 'blood' sister out to play.

Flamehawke was built when I was just barely out of high school. She was built to look gorgeous, but acted like an airhead. The airhead bit was a cover so anyone they met would underestimate her skill and abilities. She once pretended to be a Nethermancer in order to freak out some slavers on a ship and then got locked in a battle with another caster.

Favorite though was when we saw a cave and she decided to investigate and when it was suggested that we don't because well there was a sign saying stay out she calmly stated that it was an invite. She told the party that anything saying stay out was an invitation to pleas help try out the traps or just to get you inside for a talk. After all if there is a sign outside the dark tower saying welcome please stay for cookies nobody would enter, but put out a stay out sign brings everyone in.

Best part is I actually convinced the group of that and they started using that as their cues as to whether they should enter a place or not.

Liberty's Edge

Having played in this my group had tons of theories as to who did this. They thought it was the father at first, then that it was the partner who was skimming books, and the local mobsters. Really with all the villains in town and the fact we had not a single person with ranks of religion we did not discover it was an undead.

Part of that is when asked if we should have such a knowledge or profession we were told by the guy running it another night that we don't need any healing at all as the enemies are easy and healing items were so plentiful and undead were practically non-existent.
