Filara spends a day in bed following the attack, and then half a day in bath. During the following week she mostly studies and writes reports, quite wary of Narsen.

When the group disbands following the mission she bids the others farewell, seemingly glad of the mission coming to an end.

"Thank you for your help, cooperation and protection. This mission was a lot of ...physical... work. I think I've had enough combat for a few years. I'll stick to written research in the Arcanamirium and the Spells' faculties for a while now."

Frustrated Filara opts for a common cantrip. A sphere of water explodes inside the skeletal horse’s ribcage, tearing into the rider as well.

”Come, champion of the depths, churn, vortex of water. Show your worth if you desire the girdle of the empress. Tear the hollow veil, ascend through the planes, impactful and flowing. Press down thy foes.”

Filara slumps back to sit on the stump and sheds a few tears of rage. The tears instantly evaporate into steam from the electric aura crackling on and around her. She feels quite sick and hollow.

Elven:
"Come, wrath of heaven , pierce, spear of lightning. Your envoy beseeches you. Flash, rays of light. Tear through the darkness."

In a desperate moment to control the elemental energy she fails to find a good target with a glance. In panic she aims the huge sphere of lightning to ground in the metal winch of the well. An arc of lightning lashes out to the skeletal mount and its rider.

Her hair stands up, charged by electricity.

The elf asks tiredly, eager to get to sleep: "Is it over now?"

Thw owl touches the tip of her staff with its wing. She then mutters weakly: ”You know the drill...”

"Gather, thunder. Seek, seek, seek. Anvil of the skies. Sheen of iron. Hammer of the cosmos. May the ardor of the gale plunge the world into grief and misery. The sky shall burn. The earth moans. Those between turn to ash...”

Filara spends the break tiredly dictating notes about the Horizon Thunder Sphere use to her familiar, Vulio, who writes the notes down. In truth she's not interested in the notes at all and would just want to sleep, but she feels obligated to refresh her magic for yet another wave of undead.

I'm waiting until Bo has taken his turn to do mine. Can't speak IC right now due to being middle of casting but for, uh, obvious reasons, I'd love

Tiredly, Filara closes her eyes and dictates field notes from the Horizon Thunder Sphere use on the skeletons. Her owl familiar, Vulio, dutifully writes down the remarks.

She doesn't bother with the aftermath of the battle or preparing for the next wave, trusting others to be up for the task.

After a chant, Filara's staff begins to emit a soft, blue light.

Elven:
"Heroes of old, respond to the contract and my breath of life. Follow my order to provide power. Take shelter in what is mine, root of strength, king of the forest. Spin a hymn both here and far away."

Filara looks towards the last remaining skeleton and feebly swings at it with her wizard's staff. The strike manifests at a distance, amplified, causing the skeleton's bones to clatter and possible shatter.

Instead of rerolling the recovery check you have to use the other option with Hero Points: automatically stabilizing to Avoid Death. That skips the RNG. Otherwise Rosa dies.

Rosa seems to have a hero point left, so she's bound to survive for a round at least.

I have a lesser healing potion in a retrieval prism, so I can get Rosa up in a single round by jumping down and administering it to her if it comes down to it. I'll go for that later if Rosa ends up using her hero point to Avoid Death.

My plan for next round is to try take Orange down.

Squinting to discern the current status of the battle, the elven wizard stands up again to channel a lengthy spell.

Three arrows of rippling energy fly out from her staff to the more damaged skeleton harrassing Rosa.

Please kill them off quickly, the sunlight is pain, even though this position is perfect for an artillery mage like me...

Filara's eyes dart between Jarith and Rosa as she ◆◆◆ finishes the long chant.

She sighs in relief, seeing Rosa barely escape. Filara's concentration breaks and she screams is terror as a huge Ball Lightning ten feet wide jumps from her staff to the skeletons.

Electricity damage: 5d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 5, 4, 3) = 23Half on miss, double and dazzled 1 rounds on crit.

The electricity lashes out at the two other skeletons by the well as well.

Nevertheless she stands up and begins a long chant with seemingly no end in sight in Elven, albeit with a less clear and booming voice than usual.

Filara is very groggy after spending the night and day designing traps. She has hauled a log to function as a chair to sit on. A parasol is affixed on the battlement to shield her tired eyes from the sun.

Leaning on her wizard's staff she grumbles: "That allnighter was a mistake. At least I managed to prepare spells yesterday after Narsen arrived. I'll ...just hang back here and fire at the undead. Please watch out, someof the spells will explode quite violently around the target."

I'm a bit uneasy about hiring Wilfred Mayar to help with the carpentry construction because he's unfriendly. I'd like us to priorize the Outer Walls over the Main Gate due to this.

If Rosa finishes the Barracks, that leaves Junissa available. It'd be a waste not to utilize Junissa, so maybe even someone untrained could pick her up to work on the Outer Wall? She gives a +2 bonus and level as proficiency, essentially turning Untrained to Trained. That should be plenty for the DC12.

Cherie, I'll go power through the planting with possibly a hero point on Day 5. Please pick up the work on Outer Wall or the Main Gate meanwhile with Junissa.

Rosa is good at the barracks right now with the DC 12 check.

The one place where Cherie and Filara should work together is the Stairs to the Roof. Let's go there when Rosa is finished with the Barracks. Stairs doesn't require Junissa's help, so on the days when we work on the Stairs Rosa can take Junissa to work on either the Outer Wall or the Main Gate.

Watchtower should be collapsed now, I think. From tomorrow on we can start tackling the purple Stone-requiring crafting tasks. I'm going to spend 2gp every day on those myself.

After that there's only one optimization point, I think, and that's Repairing the Outer Wall. That's the one where Filara and Cherie should work together.

Regarding the other Crafting-required goals, I think repairing the Stairs to the Roof have some priority, as that'd free up a new work project for unskilled labourers.

100% Agree on Barracks for first Crafting work. Then we can move from the inn to the site. Should help with preventing sabotage when we can watch guard there ourselves.
