Istivan, as discretely as possible, cast prestidigitation on himself to clean up the sweat and after-effects of combat. Looking up from this task, he barely kept himself from bursting out laughing to see the Speaker towed along by Rhia like a little girl with a Ballon. He imagined the Speaker would not find the comparison as amusing.

He looks to Aliseya, who appears to have returned to normal. "So...red eyes, the aging routine, creepy language... What's up with that?" he asks.

Not something you see every day Istivan thinks as the ethereal forms carry Rhia aloft.

The disturbance breaks the moment, causing the hairs on the back of his arms to stand up.

Istivan sees the creature surging from the depths. For a moment, he's almost sure what it is, but the threat pushes it from his mind.

"Watch out! From the water!" he shouts.

Istivan beats his fist over his heart rapidly, "Ιδού το τρεμόπαιγμα των φτερών της πεταλούδας, γρήγορα ως άξονας του φεγγαριού, Χτυπήστε!"

Everyone except Rhia feels a swirl of wind around them as energy fills them.

Effects of Haste:

Lasts 7 Rounds
When making a full attack action, a hasted creature may make one extra attack with one natural or manufactured weapon. The attack is made using the creature’s full base attack bonus, plus any modifiers appropriate to the situation. (This effect is not cumulative with similar effects, such as that provided by a speed weapon, nor does it actually grant an extra action, so you can’t use it to cast a second spell or otherwise take an extra action in the round.)

A hasted creature gains a +1 bonus on attack rolls and a +1 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves. Any condition that makes you lose your Dexterity bonus to Armor Class (if any) also makes you lose dodge bonuses.

All of the hasted creature’s modes of movement (including land movement, burrow, climb, fly, and swim) increase by 30 feet, to a maximum of twice the subject’s normal speed using that form of movement. This increase counts as an enhancement bonus, and it affects the creature’s jumping distance as normal for increased speed. Multiple haste effects don’t stack. Haste dispels and counters slow.

Istivan looks down into the deeper water, then up to the doors above, suppressing his own sigh.

Ok Desna, I get it. Traveling isn't just walking. I'll learn to swim and climb. Or at least look for some magic for it.

"I know you'll find this hard to believe," He starts with a wry grin, "But I'm not the best swimmer. Or climber."

He mutters and gestures before placing his hand on his chest.

The target gains a +2 morale bonus on attack rolls, saves, and skill checks. 70-minute duration.

"If anyone else is in the same circumstances I can try to help you out"

He then reaches into his pack and pulls out his waterskin, taking a long drink from it before pouring the rest of the water out, blowing air in to inflate the empty skin, then hurridly capping it and holding the buoyant bag under the surface of the water.

Istivan's grin only grows wider as she shoos him away, he turns to regard the door, softly, but cheerfully, singing "Marvelous millinery mayhem misery, miraculous moving munificent mercy." before subsiding into barely audible humming.

Istivan looks a bit chagrined for a moment, before a grin takes its place.

"This is Ustalav. If you're just lonely, not being chased by a hag or sacrificed by a cult, you're doing pretty well." he gestures expansively.

"As to questions, only half a dozen more than usual, which is already half a hundred more than needed, on average."

He looks full-on at Naught, "For now, let's just stick to the most important question." he pauses dramatically, "Does that help keep your hat on in high winds? Darn useful if so."

"See, I happen to look quite dashing in a hat. I had a fine one back in Lepidstadt. Had a fine feather as long as my.. uh.. forearm" he gestures from elbow to wrist to illustrate.

"But as it happens I had to run from a mob..'" he glances slyly at the Speaker "...of adoring fans of course." he winks at Naught.

"But the damn hat kept trying to fly off my head. I held it on with a hand, but I could not run as fast as I needed to doing so."

he sighs deeply, "In the end, I had to let it go. It flew off to be trampled by the mob. Of admirers."

As he's speaking he moves aside to let someone take the lead. He has no idea where he is, plus he's not eager to be the first one to test the trap door.

Finishing up, he says "I do ask for forgiveness if my crude stares offended you, Naught."

GM:
He's lying of course, and not trying to hide it, a bit of frivolity in an attempt to lighten the mood. There is only three truths in there: He's curious if Naught's hair can hold her hat on, he looks dashing in a hat, and he is sorry for any discomfort caused to Naught.

Scimitar does not glow, too big a hindrance to stealth and darkvision.

Nope, that's correct. I originally had agile maneuvers but replaced it after seeing that weapon finesse already applies to a good chunk of CM, but never changed it on the sheet.

Istivan thrashes in the cold water for a moment confused, looking for Giles, the judge, or the shadowy attacker. Instead, his gaze locked with the dead gaze of a decaying human who stretched his hands up hungrily.

Desna's fluttering wings, what in the nine hells is this? Istivan thought.

He had never studied undead, so while he had no idea what variety that thing was, he was pretty sure it was undead. He had also never put much effort into swimming. That made this a bad situation. Fortunately, he was near a wall and could see the dimensions of the deep water pit.

Can't stay here, time to act.

Initiative: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

Mustering up his concentration and the last of his breath, he sent the verbal components of his spell bubbling into the water

Concentration: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23

Conservatively estimating how high the ceiling was likely to be, he let the bladed dash carry him up 15 feet, 10 feet above the water, sucking in air as he broke free from the water, a trail of afterimages behind him, he snapped a quick look around.

Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16

There were more figures to his left below. Unsure of their nature he only had one path left. Pushing hard off the wall behind him, he leaps to the north.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29

Immediately after jumping, he casts Feather Fall to extend his distance and prevent harm from landing. Looks like he'd have very little room between where the edge of the pit was and the wall... or maybe doors, but it was better than being in the water. Twisting in air to face the pit when he landed, he drew his scimitar as he floated down.

Almost as an afterthought, he called out in common, "Anyone else alive down here?"
