Yes. A controlled way to do silly op builds but protects the core math. I mean people get so aggro when you talk about considering dual class at the table. I have seen serious hostility for it. I feel like this won't be everyone's cup of tea but definitely mine.
So looking as GM for 4th party memeber for two groups. Both are sunday 1-5 pm EST but they are alternating weeks. Agents of edgewatch (lvl 8 already) Abomination vaults (lvl 4 already) both are free archtype and paragon ancestry. No evil. We are looking for tanky melee in Agents and really something ranged in vaults.

My current map has 7 and they are in spots that make it difficult to just copy a tile from a different area. Can we please just get the 'S' indicators added to the same image layer as the room numbers? and the t for traps
i try to pre read all the ap but sometimes it is just the first book and the blurbs and the players guide, i hand them the players guide and hope we did good if we are playing something not completely out yet. If it is already out i try to read it all first and then the players guide but honestly "read" might mean "skim" and highjinks happen.
Let us Combine a few of these ideas. All vigilante party set in Rahadoum trying to fix the ecology but using some gorez clerics or jaidi or other nature gods. hiding behind the mask to fix things. this would be a very CG lean. Love the Orc idea above but I have an Orc pitch. Set the city building one on the edge of Belkzen and former Lastwall. Or Guild one here. Please please do the take on Treerazor campaign. It lets you "fix" the elves. We get demons again in a new evil flavor and this could feel alot like the alien plant pitch in this tread.
So on the good evil issue, they have physical manifestations (gods, demigods, planes, outsiders, spells with the alignment tags artifacts ect..) and the subjectivity is a human issue. The system has set definitions of good and evil in the lost omens setting which the APs take place, the diverse varieties of gods and demigods of both (G and E) express this. I personally use the old demigods from 1e to inform the nuances of the lines drawn. Similar issues for law and chaos...these things are set but humans may not know the rules and they have to try and infer it blindly and that is how societies can have different alignments and think that they are all doing the right thing, whatever that might be.

The APs being cannon would be important.

So no. 4718 comes out in 2018 but it doesnt correspond to it. 4718 =1923 in our world. I say this because of PF's 4516= 1721 in our world.
Joana wrote: Not sure I'm a fan of trinkets. I get that they're cheap, but that's a lot of little one-use items to clutter up a character sheet and erase and write in again and say, "Wait, did I forget to cross out that trinket after I used it, or have I not used it yet?" That would be awesome and they somehow cost slightly less RP if you wore the whole set or standard cost but because you have the whole set it is treated like another item for no extra RP. This could be exciting.
What is the craft dc for a Junk golem? If you look the other golems have a craft dc next the the craft type. I was making a table on allowable golems and this would be on the list if I could find the dc. Okay I did look around first before posting. I couldn't find the answer. If this is the wrong spot for this post Im sorry. Move it where ever it goes.
My new dm and party with limited experience are doing Mummy's Mask. (book 2 six months in) Some of us survived all of Wrath of the Rightious. Wrath for all its faults wasnt bad for beginners. Sure near the end things got crazy but we built to that. By crazy I mean actions in a round. (BTW That took 2 years to complete.) We are enjoying RotRL alot. We just got to the Manor and having a blast. (book 2 4 months in) I do not recomend Hell's Rebles for beginners. Everyone I am playing with dm's pathfinder for different groups and find this AP to be a bit rough. I also would say with are leaving the beginner DM phase and entering to middling (journeyman...?) we still reference old systems.
Does this apply to the
Is enchanting the same price?
We are starting out lvl 1 young characters. Who will retrain into their classes. We are doing this more as an rping experiment so we are both gm'ing some, turn taking or switching off. We both have a few years experience as players and as gm's. They will go to 20 + 10tier. Loot will be mostly purchased or found but we might take a feat or 2. We are experienced in running a game each missing a role. I ran one without a trap person. He ran one were we had divine and a bard but not a real big arcane presence....the bard requently forgot she had spells. She became a second healer really. We use house rule con + lvl sleep recovery. regular plus con mod after. Also roll your hp and dm rolls you take higher of the 2. roll 4d6 drop lowest and reroll 1's. My Magus changed his mind he is Swashbuckler/Magus not fighter magus. The Cha is going to be under the Magus's umbrella. He is really experenced in that role.
One character is going to be Warpriest/Slayer. (Not a paladin with sneak attack...trying for a LG NG but stern and aggressive. Might follow Ragathiel. ) She wants to avenge her town. The other is Fighter/Magus. He wanted to be a knight but is studying magic inorder to try and figure out what happened to thier town. Does this fill the basic roles well enough? Going to set this in Isger. Vaugely stole this plot from Elder Evils mixed with Dragon Quest 8. Their town has turned to crystal while they were out "doing something else."
I have hard answers for most of the questions in occult mysteries which is usually mixing most of the possible presented theories. Worldwound was closed being the 1st campaign we have done and the mythic characters have gone on to be legdends in the campaigns since. Including alot of thier actions. Redeeming Noctycula was one thing. Her portfolio was taken over by her brother and his new concubine (name forgotten at moment...she lion succbus, mayor of her old realm.) Both of the other Deamlords from that AP are dead and I haven't had to replace them yet. Worldwound also is fertile again and growing lusher each year. It is filled with a strange mix of NG druids and many Paladins. Watch out thier are alot of delicious plants that might eat you if you wander too far into the new wilds. Lich from that adventure was also rescued and released and redeemed he is LN and hunting the other "living liches" as pennace. Much less strick about drow, I am working on my own god/goddes combo for surface elf and drow redemption. They will not be star stone testees and will work on finding a morbid neutral peace between the two. Currently it is being RP'ed with a friend. So we will apply this logic when either one of us DM which we each have a campaign going. I am running RuneLord's and he is running Mummy's. So since we got 1 book into the winter AP my irrisen is under nicer management. Baba yaga is dead. the trolls arent killed but they are dethrowned, and the witches are being hunted by the Paladins from Drezen. So far that is all i can think of.
The logic proposed to the church behind this was: the crime lord before the current one (Jerg) gained his position by owerthrowning his previous employer. she too started out as an employee of the previous one (unnamed.) The overthrown was violent she died and was revived by abadar with a vision (took the campaign trait where she had been dead before with death restitances as a benifit.) ((White light and a man in golden armor with 14 golen keys on his hip his face obscured said "Your city still needs you" This being the moment she turned her life around and joined the city guard and eventually discoving the church of Abadar and joining his paladin order)) She watched the violence of one crime lord being over thrown by another and the void being filled in a matter of days, (the event above). She also watched/hear-about other organizations (durring her time working for the old crime lord)brought to justice by traditional athourities. She saw a great deal of people killed who where treated as through they mattered less due to thier proffessions. Frequently the childern of criminals or froced prostitutes where victims in these wars. Having been a prostitute herself when she was very young and literally dying durring one of these battles gives her a different view of the matter. She saw the economic voids filled much slower over time with legitemite organsations but it being slower caused a great deal of suffering as well. Jerg is a problem because his organization is one of the biggest in the area and handles almost everytype of goods imagineable. So the loss of his resorces would cripple Wati. So her solution is not to overthrow anyone but make the bad guy leader better. Yes they laughed at her a number of times and other members of her church underminded her attempts for there slow pace but she finally won them over. Hence the contract. She is terrified but it is a huge victory to her and a show of trust from both groups to hear eachother out. The politics of the situation is messy. She knows Jerg is using her as his pawn but to what end? She knows the Archbanker is hoping she fails inorder to finally have an excuse to get rid of Jerg and her (she knows some embarassing secrets about him, and while she hasn't ever told anyone The Archbanker is very annoyed.) She is also terrified to let her mentor the paladin leader down because he also put his neck out for her but she has no idea how much but she suspects more than he lets on. But so far she has Abadar's blessing and while it lasts she is going to try her best. I am aware it sounds sketchy but we are having alot of fun seeing where it goes. Also my DM is an amazing, wonderful person and really wants to explore it too.
So far my DM is awesome. we have worked out the this will be an rp fest but 90% of that is down time between sessions the rest of the party is minimally effected. So far we have in about 3 sessions worked out the specifics of the back story and set up how she going to persue his redemption. My Dm is going to warn me. She is openning the dialog and so far the DM is also willing to give me a "touch of wiggle room" in the form of a contract. Her, her church superiors and the crime lord drafted a document saying that the crime lord may "speak freely with out her having to report his actions" if said conversations take place with in a specified room. (They picked the crime lod's bed room. The two have a physical relationship so that is not a problem.)The contract ends up being comparable to relife catholic confessional. The church of Abadar is trying this new experimental redemption technique. The unfortunate clause her superiors added is "anything he is caught red handed for she is responsible for as well" that "he is now her charge." Rightly terrified she signed both copies. 4 signitures on 2 copies. Hers, the archbanker of Wati's, the leader of her paladin order and the crime lord. One copy in now kept in the church archives and one is kept by the crime lord. She has to go explore another tomb before she can try to win more of the crime lord's trust. If anyone is curious I can tell you more or keep you updated. But my DM is indulging heated moral and ethical debates. This is turning into a storytelling/acting dream. Like i could go into explaining back story/motivations for her actions and what she uncoveres in his as she goes.

Yeah my gm is game for this, we are talking about it alot not just for this reason but so the party isn't bored with it...it is being done offsscreen between sessions alot of the time. My second question was more are there and prestigue/classes that might be up my ally? If she falls. The goal is she converts the bad guy but epic f%~+ ups are frequent in our party. I like preplanning.
Not sure this is the place for this. I have a DM willing to run with a fun idea. I am playing a catfolk paladin (ranged paladin arctype) who is a reformed criminal (prostitute) who is trying to reform a former friend (thug turned crime lord.) He is LE half orc not sure the class but a crime boss. They have affection and are constantly trying to corrupt the other. For him it is a test of wills for her it is her mission. (Well as far as the game is concerned, side mission. Mostly handled durring downtime.) She is a paladin of abadar. They talk about the economy alot and his effect on it. She has mediocer stats in all the Cha. We are playing it off as everyone thinks she is too stupid to know she is associating with evil. She is sincere in her efforts to attempt to convert. (WE are straight off Wrath of the Righteous as a group so converting evil is very on our minds. We also laughed at completing That AP without a paladin so this one was rolled.) The status quo is interesting. She is charged with trying to bring down this organization. She feels it is too fundimental to the local economy and would ruin everyone if it was done the traditional way. So she feels the best way is try to turn the leader around to good. The leader tolerates this because "they would send someone more competant" if anything happened to her. Also the scary boss might have affection. Well there is the setup. She really isnt the smartest. 20 cha, wis 7, int 9....so she really isnt. So is this a do able plot or is everything outside the scope of what a paladin can do due to the code or is this a vaild interpretation? There is always the possiblity she does fall? I know anitpaladins can happen and she trades out 1 to 1 levels. But what are the LE options?
Leadership for free to the whole party at once is normal in some of my games. But then again I do feat taxing free feats. Also If I was to consider what you are talking about i would limit it to teamwork feats and what I call skill feats. (Skill focus, Alterness, persuasion...) Or I give everyone at the table a signature skill. That can be a great piece of candy better than alot of loot in my group.
I Was trying to ask that if I make enchanted mithral armor from scratch. Do I have to go through the item crafting rules for making armor from scratch then enchanting rules separatly. Like mithral full plate is 10500 gp so I would convert that to 105000 sp and count down years until it is made then after that add enchantments?
Do you have to start with a mundnae item before you craft a magic item? Like would you craft a masterwork set of mithral full plate before crafting the magical enhancements? If you were to do this would you use craft armor for the 10500 gp (converted to 105,000 sp) armor them craft magical arms and armor for the rest? if so which price do you test for the weeks sp? The full price or the 1/3 materials?
I have a collection of traits, feats, and items for the River Kingdoms would that fall in line with an appropriate article? Another one I am working on is some alchemy for fertility. Hear me out. If crops and cattle is what makes a King than those things would be a focus for reasources and that always leads to magical ends. I won't get graphic. You say we can "build" on cannon. Can I list a new use for an old spell?
Would some Kingdom building meta be out of theme? I have dabbled in it in another AP (Wrath of the Righteous) and learned alot while also home ruled a fair bit but if I talk about this can I mention Ultimate Rulership or not? I know it isn't Paizo. I want to do a much more in depth look at terraforming and some mythic magical stuff. My other thoughts where about that ghostly river town and make some traits or a feat for interacting with it.
Jeraa wrote: All items hae a base of 2 challenges - one at the very beginning, one at the very end. In addition, there are a number of additional random challenge - 1 for every 5000gp in the items buying price (with a minimum of 1). So all magic items have a minimum of 3 challenges. Thanks but where does it say that?
Ok I'm going to be an aasimir Arcanist who will be very mercantile. She will have a buddy who is the fence a skinwalker (boar) Slayer. I was thinking she take one of either Appraise or Spellcraft and he take Signature Skill either Sense motive or intimatidate. Which would be better for figure out magic items or even a pc crafter mage?
