Human Human Favored Soul 1

initiative (1d20 1=19)

As the rest of the group appears, Fael looks surprised to see the goblin, apparently unbound, with them... and smiling.
"We've got more coming," she says to Etienne and Talam, "You should take your pet and go, since you want her so bad. Even I know you can't watch her and fight with us at the same time."
To Vraelyn, she says, "I thought grown-ups were smarter than that."

"I'm fine," Fael says, "There were a lot of dead bodies back there, but I'll cry for them later. I'm mad at goblins and stupid people. I hope Ameiko's okay. She's nice. She..."
She's obviously holding back one of her "tidal waves of babble", since she knows that now is not the time, but it's taking some effort.

Human Human Favored Soul 1

"Bash it." says Fael, "I'm with you guys on what to do with goblins."

Human Human Favored Soul 1

"She's right, you know," Fael comments as she moves to join Vraelyn, "Goblins are what they are. I'm going to look for Ameiko. She's nice."

Human Human Favored Soul 1

I'm not in the initiative list

Fael moves deeper into the room, looking for a target. She leaves the three obvious targets to the giant-sized elf. She looks at the bodies, stepping over them as necessary, but she doesn't really see them right now. That will wait until things are secure.

I move into the room, heading south. I think I can get to the southern corner of the second table. (Your map doesn't have any way to set co-ordinates, but if it did I'd be at R15, where letters run across the top, and numbers run down the side.) I ready an attack, in case a goblin moves into my threatened area.

Fael follows Blackleaf into the room, her eyes widening as she sees the carnage.
Not having fought goblins before, but recognizing them from the descriptions she got during her language lessons, she says (in goblin), "You are bad! Very, very bad! I'm gonna have to punish you... a lot."
She then chants something in difficult-to-remember words, and looks suddenly more... dangerous?
Cast divine favor in the surprise round.

"Ummm... Blackleaf," Fael says as the elf makes a headlong charge at the door, "th'other door is open. Maybe you shouldn't hurt yourself on this one?"

Human Human Favored Soul 1

Fael draws her scimitar, the razor-sharp steel hissing as it slides across the oiled leather, and readies herself for what is to come. She can feel it building, just as her mother told her she would - conflict in the wings, waiting for the moment.
She starts to follow Coppertop into the unlocked doors, then stops when she hears the commotion.
"That's not a good things," she says, "not a good thing at all."
After a quick head count, she trots after Coppertop.

Fael follows along, unslinging her buckler as she walks.

"Ameiko wouldn't run away, would she?" Fael asks, confusion on her face, "She's a nice lady. But... it looks like her brother thought that if people found out about the something her father did, then she'd get in trouble too. That might make someone run away..."
She looks around, uncertainly.

Fael watches the rest of the group, her wide eyes enigmatic.
"I don't think watching the town is what my mother had in mind, but it looks like I'm going to need to wait and see what's coming, anyway, so I'll help out." She smiles, an effect broken by a huge yawn, "Do you need me to start tonight, or would it be okay if I went to bed? I'm awful tired all of a sudden." She looks at Ameiko, puts some gold on the table, and asks, "Can I get a room? For whenever I get the chance to sleep, that is. Don't want to leave the town unprotected."
She slides out of her seat, and moves to the door, her hand on her scimitar.

After eating her soup and bread and finishing her milk (all consumed with obvious pleasure and as if she hadn't eaten in a while), Fael contentedly pushes the bowl and glass away. Looking around at the large group at her table, she says, in a tone of voice that belies her young age, "So... something bad has happened here, and is still... happening?"

Human Human Favored Soul 1

Fael climbs up into a chair and waits for a serving girl.
"Do you have any soup?" she asks brightly, "and some goat's milk? I like goat's milk best of all the milks. Oh! And some bread!"
She looks around at the rather large group she's been pulled into. This felt right. The gods had certainly wasted no time in putting her in place. Whatever was going to happen would happen soon, and it was centered around these people.

Human Human Favored Soul 1

Fael smiles brightly at the thought of finally getting some soup, "Well, I could just follow you then. My name's Fael."

Human Human Favored Soul 1

Fael tries to look at everyone at once, making her appear considerably more startled-looking than she actually is.
"No," she says to the knight, "I'm right where I'm supposed to be."
"I don't think I'm a warrior child," she replies to the elf, "Do you paint your face like that to be scary? I guess somebody might think that you were, but I like it. It suits you."
"Oh, I just won't pick mushrooms," she says to the nice lady, "I prolly don't have time to go to school right now. Mother wouldn't send me here if I didn't have something to do."
Then she looks at everyone, her face a mask of exasperation, "Do any of you know where the inn is?"

Human Human Favored Soul 1

Fael shrugs and says, "Dunno, really. It's all a little funny in my head. I'm pretty sure my mother sent me here though, and I'll need a place to sleep. That's what inns are, yes? My name's Fael. This town is pretty little, but if you don't know where an inn is, that's okay. I'm sure I can find someone who can give me directions. You just looked like you knew your way around, but maybe it was just because you're so shiny. Anyway, mother said I should go to Sandpoint. Dunno why, but she's usually right about things like that. This is Sandpoint, isn't it? It's all so confusing, sometimes. Hey! Maybe one of these guys knows where I can find an inn. I'm awful tired. I think I traveled a long time to get here. Do you think they'll have any soup at the inn. I like soup a lot, 'specially the kind with mushrooms in it. Mother says be careful of mushrooms, 'cause sometimes, they look okay to eat, but they're poison."
She pauses to yawn, hugely.

Fael wanders around town for a while, trying to get her bearings, and fiddling around with her holy symbol. She's not afraid, and shows it, but she seems a little bemused.
As she passes the large, well-armored Coppertop, she comments, "You're very shiny," in strangely-accented common.
She starts to walk on, then stops, and since he looks like he belongs here, she asks, "Is there a good inn here? I don't want...um... bugs? in my bed."
She continues to look at him with her over-large blue eyes.

1) Are we allowed Devotion feats from Complete Champion? (and in fact, what source books are allowed?)
2) I'm assuming we get a bonus regional feat, do they have to come from RotL only, or can we take one from CotCT (not that I probably will, just asking. Harrowed might be fun.)
3) Do we get max starting gold, and if so, soes anyone know that the max for a favored soul is?

Human Human Favored Soul 1

I can't find the character creation rules, and don't know how much starting gold I have. I'm going with the starting package, and just 'selling back' what I don't want.
Won't be a problem... my character isn't going to start with a lot of equipment.
Other than that, and probably by the time anyone reads this, she's done.
Oh... this is stunty's character.
