I've come to the conclusion that I want to wind down my PbP games. I've done PbPs for a long time and enjoyed them, but I've been struggling with checking in regularly.

Hoping we can reach the surface, which would be the most natural of transition points!

Seeing two more mongrels cowering behind a barrier, Elise looks them straight in the eyes as her hair begins to glow with fiery magic. She ignores their questions entirely as she speaks.

"Hosilla is dead! Repent of her evil ways, and you may yet find forgiveness. Refuse and you shall be cleansed!" Wisps of fire trickle from her fingertips, suggesting she was more than ready to make good on her threat.

Elise laughs at the offer of fire. "I don't much need that either!" she echoes, playing with flames on her fingertips. But her look turns more serious at the special weapon they've found. "Don't be too quick to mock this sword. There is powerful magic locked within--like nothing I've ever experienced before."

The sorceress holds the sword up in the light and slowly turns it, watching the golden glints of light slide up and down the surface. She speaks a few words of power. Detect Magic.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24. I'll take a Guidance to get that to 25 if someone has it.

If we're leveling up, Angahaar should just magically pop back up, I think! Also, I can help with this.

Elise moves to Angahaar. "Gather together and hold still. Don't be alarmed--I can heal you." Once the party gathers, fire appears between Elise's hands until it becomes a powerful emanation. It then shoots out over her allies!
Burning Hands, Spell Specialization, Blood Havoc: 5d4 + 5 ⇒ (4, 3, 4, 2, 3) + 5 = 21
Remarkably, the fire does not burn; instead it seems to rejuvenate! Everyone heals 10HP.

Working on leveling! Like Angahaar, I also have a question for the DM:

A Phoenix Sorcerer gains the following power at 3rd Level:
Immolation (Su): At 3rd level, you gain the ability to surround yourself in fire as a swift action. This fire burns for a number of rounds per day equal to your character level plus your Charisma bonus. These rounds do not have to be consecutive. Any unarmed attacks you make while affected by immolation deal an additional 1d6 points of fire damage, and any creature that ends its turn adjacent to you while you’re affected by immolation also takes 1d6 points of fire damage.

A Phoenix sorcerer can also heal with fire spells:
Bloodline Arcana: When casting any spell that deals fire damage, you can instead heal your targets. The spell deals no damage, and living creatures affected by the spell instead regain a number of hit points equal to half the fire damage the spell would normally deal.

I would like the Immolation supernatural power to also potentially heal creatures if I so choose. Is that possible? It would basically be an option for a very tiny Channel Energy.

Elise climbs up on the table, focuses on a stray cup on the ground, and launches it forcefully at an enemy! Hosilla if possible, or the other fellow with a -4 penalty due to lack of precise shot.

Hi folks, my theory that things would be better in a week was too optimistic. I suspect work is going to keep me from posting for the next couple of months, with late September being the time where I can jump back in. I have a September 21 deadline I'm facing, and there may be spillover / I'll need to recover. I'm really sorry for the trouble.

I will roll with whatever solution makes sense to you. Happy to have my character botted or have my character or just step away from the action temporarily. If you prefer to move on entirely, I'm okay with that too; I don't want to sap the momentum of any of my games.

Moving past the rats while the opportunity presented itself, Elise focuses on one of the hot coals lighting the room. Suddenly, it leaps out of the bowl and launches itself at one of the bowmen!

Seems reasonable to cast as we start getting near the end of the tunnel--I assume that Lann can warn us.

As a fire sorceress, Elise is not one for hiding very often. But perhaps being in the back of the group would help some.

Love the layered name meanings!

Elise is a little anxious to see Olapa turn toward her, but quickly finds comfort as she runs her hands through the tiger's silky fur. "It's fortunate she found such a good soul," she notes. Elise herself seems to almost glow with the delightful interaction.

Perhaps she would have noticed Anastasia's jealousy if she caught a glimpse of her face, but Elise remains oblivious as Ana presses ahead once more.
