"Blot your sight, cur!" Eldrish growls as he spits the words and gestures to get another spell, hoping to steal the sight from this cursed arclord.
Even as he finishes, he stomps forward, blade ready, figuring if his spell didnt do the job he was just going to start cutting the wizard to pieces, request to take him alive be damned. thrice damned
Eldrish curses and he takes the full brunt of the fiery magic, his protections barely slowing the heat down. Staggering back, smoking he roars and spits out a pair of spells. Protecting himself and trying to rip the very life from the wizard, take him alive or no.

Eldrish continues his rush around the columns, advancing on the apprentice and chanting a spell of true striking as he charges, lashing out with his blade in both hands as he reaches the sorcerer.
"I warned you not to interfere!" the elf snarles as his blade strikes home.
Not feeling the need for further talk and really wishing to avoid the giant statue in front of him, Eldrish charges around the hedges and trees to try to come at the wizard and his apprentice from a different angle, hoping his mirror images and the hastily chanted shield spell will protect him from reprisals, until he can take out the apprentice and wizard.
Elsrish strides forward to back Rilriv up, casting mirror image as he does, addressing the apprentice. "Do not get involved, foolish one, we've killed enough fools on this mission as it is." well, zero is enough. But he doesnt know that
Eldrish nods back at Gypsey and follows along, not trusting himself to cause problems hobknobbing with these glitterati.
Eldrish takes the time to rest and study his spellboosk as the group prepares for the festival, selecting an understated yet elegant outfit, loose enough to cover his chainmail reasonably well. Remembering this time to cast false life before heading out for the night. At the party he follows the group, keeping quiet and watching for the Arclord, silently impressed at the ostentatious magics on display.
Eldrish looks a bit uncomfortable as well. "I am not well suited for polite society, though to capture this lord and subdue any magics and bodyguards, I fear we will need all of our weapons."
Eldrish nods, "He was murdered, that's for certain. Seems to be via golem. The fact that an assassin sent by Arclord Prakhavu Khibenid leads me to conclude we have a suspect to check out next." drowning and grumbling fiercely, "whom I owe about a yard of steel in the guts."
Lacking social skills with lesserraces, Eldrish simply watches the interrogation, combat magics ready to mind should she suddenly attack, or some similar nonsense.
Cursing at the pain a crossbow bolt in his shoulder, Eldrish turns to the sniper and charges forward, chanting and gesticulating as he does so. Once he reaches range, he finishes his spell, flinging a curse of blinding at the sniper. Hoping to take her crossbow out of the fight for a bit.
Seeing Magpie under assault behind him, Eldrish takes a guarded step towards the elemental and, once again calling on the focusing power of his ring, casts True strike and lashes out with his bastard sword.
Hoping to help Rilriv whittle down one of their foes, Eldrish quickly chants out a spell, gesticulating and pulling a bit of bat guano from his component pouch and rolling it as he chants. 3 darts of light streak from his outstretched hand into the fire elemental facing the dwarfs axe.
Blowing out one final breath, Eldrish stands up from his crouch near the body. "Aye, let's get moving. But weren't we supposed to take this body back?"
Eldrish breathes easier as he rolls to a stop, corpse dislodged and the giant golem not stomping him flat. "Remind me." he says between gasps, "Never to try something so idiotic again." Gathering himself up and joining the rest of the group, he has nothing new to add to their observations, excepting once the evidence is shared. "Rare uncovered text. Murder by powerful golem and some conjured rock beast, elemental perhaps? The wizard knew he was in for a fight and this meeting our only remaining clue. Do I have the whole of it?"
Grunting with the effort of concentrating on trying to maintain his balance on the foot, Eldrish gasps out. "Riding a golem a while prying a body from its foot? Never in my wildest imaginings would I have done this!" As best he can he attempts to assist dislodging the body.
I had much the same happen today as well.
"Ok then, here we go!" the elf breathes out as the dwarf charges and becomes a distraction. Fleet footed Eldrish runs up to the golem, trying to use the distraction to get close enough to jump on the massive foot.
Should we just give it a shot, move this thing along?
"Grease? No, alas I do not know that useful spell. Nor Telekinesis. Perhaps we could purchase one. I do have the ability to cast a sticky web, though I fear that will only make matters worse." the elf responds. "Perhaps a polearm, poke it off the foot?"
Jarrish watches the golem for a moment. "Anyone have a grappling hook? Perhaps we could... snag him off? If not I can try to climb on the thing and loose him." frowning, "without getting stepped on, hopefully."
Eldrish muses as he looks at the giant golem. "Yes, a giant spatula seems like it might work. Better than trying to jump on its foot or something. Although.. that may also work."
As they walk Eldrish hears Gypsy ask the very question he had been pondering. He didnt have a good answer. "Perhaps we can snag it off the golem with some time of polearm? A giant spatula? I guess we will have to see when we find the golem, perhaps the answer will present itself." unfortunate I do not know telekinesis yet
Thinking of the golem in their murdered Lords shop Eldirsh muses, "So his rival is invested in the fleshforges, interesting." Looking around,"I have no further questions, on to the difficult task then?"
Eldrish wanders near to look at the weapon blanche. Seeing how effective it was first hand, he certainly appreciated the powerful option, especially since his magics were less than fully useful against things like that construct. Still, he stays silent, having no further questions to ask and not trusting his general unlikable demeanor to not hinder the situation.
Eldrish hangs back in the shop somewhat while Gypsy does the bard thing, ostensibly looking at various wares while he listens to the conversation.
"Eldrish grunts ar the sorceress' response. He cant get any deadder, crushed underfoot for how long now?" Lacking the diplomatic skills of the rest of the group, he tags along as they ask around, following and observing
"I suggest we check out this merchant first, I dont feel like tangling with another golem at this very moment." the elf winces and stretches as he talks. Finally hes ready to move on.
Eldrish breathes deeply as the monster finally falls. Wincing in pain, he limps over to his dropped sword and retrieves it before handing the special longsword back to the guards with a nod of thanks. Recieving the healing from Rilriv, he smiles as he says, "Thank you my friend, truly that was a challenging golem." Yet he or relieved to have fought and survived, as pursuit of martial challenge is equally i.portant to the elf as pursuit of knowledge and power. Looking around the room, and poking in the package of crafting materials he notes, "These are for traps, or similar. Fascinating." looking about, "I wonder what happened here?" Still feeling some pain from his wounds, he pulls out a minor elixir of life and drinks it off. "Better, ah yes. recalling that he had forgotten a basic precaution this morning that nearly led to his death, he quickly draws a scroll and chants out a protective spell, immediately feeling instantly better.
Pulling energies from his arcane focus ring, Eldrish chants the words to another [i]true strike[/spell] and charges back into the fray, consigning himself to possible death for the chance to kill this powerful golem.
Eldrish staggers over to the guard and grabs the blade " Give it here!" Lacking the breath to charge in immediately, he instead trys a different tack, chanting a quick spell and pointing at a broken piece of furnature. His magics cause it to float in the air a moment, the fly across the room at great speed.
GM: while looking through my spell list I realize I had left Magic Weapon prepared from an earlier iteration prior to getting an actual magic weapon. Would you mind terribly if I replaced that prepared spell with a 1st level one I might actually use?
Feeling a spark of pulse through his battered body, Eldrish confusedly staggers to his feet. Then seeing the golem all to near, and still lethal, he staggers away, recovering his wits as he moves, to some degree. Once out of reach, he turns to unleash magics on the beast.
Working his left hand in a complex series of gestures, the elf chants arcane words of power and unleashes an arrow of acid from his pointing finger.
In the hazy fog between life and the next plane of existence Eldrish regrets coming to blows with such a powerful golem. Over confidence and ego again caused the elf significant pain
The crushed pile of flesh and armor known as Eldrish the battle wizard twitches...
Staggering from the heavy blow from the golem, Eldrish nevertheless manages to recover enough to slash out twice with his heavy blade, chanting a simple cantrip as he does.
"Of course, it would break free." Eldrish grumbles as he watches the golem. Thinking quickly, as much of his prepared magics wouldnt work well against such a construct, he chants out a few quick words , then slides forward, slashing out with his bastard sword as he gets in range.
Eldrish looks around the shattered room with interest, sure a heck of a fight took place here even as he notices the golem. I hope those ropes hold that thing
Noticing some tell tale arcanum, the elf speaks up about the details he notes, "Those scorch marks are from a fireball. Those slivers of metal there? Adamantime explosive trap. Impressive firepower unleashed here, for certain" Drawing his bastard sword, just in case, Eldrish moves deeper into the room, searching for clues or leads.
