If nothing from Magpie by tomorrow I'll DMPC.

![]() |

A trio of images swirl around Eldrish as he hustles forward. Magpie calls on some of her most powerful magic as Flint begins to rush in and the dwarf begins to double in size. "Space!"
Flint is now under the effects of enlarge. Size large; Sluggish 1; Reach is now 10 feet and +2 to weapon damage.
As he grows his body pushes Rilriv back slightly. The animated statue slams it's fists into the enlarged dwarf.
Fist vs Flint AC 23: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Fist vs Flint AC 23: 1d20 + 8 - 5 ⇒ (15) + 8 - 5 = 18
Fist vs Flint AC 23: 1d20 + 8 - 10 ⇒ (17) + 8 - 10 = 15
Each of the stony blows rattles the dwarf's armor but causes him little harm. Arclord Prakhavu utters arcane words alongside his apprentice. "Lethodar tangus korilath ast suh!" Thick sheets of webbing begin to crawl out from the undergrowth as it wraps tightly around Flint and Rilriv's legs.
You create a sticky web in the area that impedes creatures’ movement each time they try to move through it. Squares filled with the web are difficult terrain. Each square can be cleared of the web by a single attack or effect that deals at least 5 slashing damage or 1 fire damage. A square has AC 5 and TAC 5, and it automatically fails its saving throws.
Each time a creature begins to use a move action while in the web, it must attempt an Athletics check against your spell DC to avoid being entangled or immobilized. A creature that gets out of the web ceases to be entangled by it.
Success The creature is unaffected and clears the web from every square it leaves after leaving the square.
Critical Success The creature is unaffected and doesn’t need to attempt further saving throws against the web this turn. It clears the web from every square it leaves after leaving the square.
Failure The creature is entangled until the start of its next turn but doesn’t need to attempt further saving throws against the web during this action.
Critical Failure The creature is immobilized until the start of its next turn, after which it is entangled for 1 round.
Round 2

Prakhavu (Animated Statue)

Rilriv
Gypsy
----------------------------------------------
Apprentice
----------------------------------------------
Eldrish (MI 3)
Magpie
Flint

Gypsy Raven |

Question - can Gypsy target Prakhavu with Magic Missile. Between a very large dwarf and a statue, I'm just not sure of the circumstances.

Rilriv |

Rilriv continues forward, finding himself next to the statue itself. He yells out while swinging his axe. "Stone vs steel. I will take my steel!"
Dwarven Axe, 2 handed: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30 Damage: 2d12 + 5 ⇒ (4, 12) + 5 = 21
Dwarven Axe, 2 handed: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12 Damage: 2d12 + 5 ⇒ (3, 4) + 5 = 12
Extra Critical Damage: 2d12 ⇒ (6, 7) = 13

Eldrish Silversong |

GM, can I get through the hedgerows/bushes? Cause that apprentice sons of a b[redacted]s is going down

![]() |

@Gypsy- Yes you can target with a magical missile.
@Eldrish- The statue of Nex provides cover to those on the opposite side. The hedges are greater difficult terrain (Pathfinder Playtest Rulebook 312), and both they and the trees can be used with the Take Cover action. Scaling the 10-foot-high sandstone walls requires a creature to succeed at a DC 13 Athletics check to Climb.

Gypsy Raven |

Gypsy focuses on the Arclord and combines her magic skills with her bardic talent to send three magic missiles streaking his way.
Magic Missile force damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Magic Missile force damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Magic Missile force damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

![]() |

@Rilriv- First I still need an Acrobatics check from you for the grease spell on your weapon. DC 18 Acrobatics check or take a -2 to attack with that weapon. Critical failure and you drop it.
@Rilriv- Second I need an Athletics check against the web effect you were in before you move to see if you become entangled or immobile. Both of these will greatly change your actions I am sure. :)

Rilriv |

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Athletics: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Rilriv goes to charge, but fails to hold onto his axe- spending the rest of his actions to pick it up and move forward as carefully as possible.

![]() |

Rilriv fumbles around with his axe as Gypsy peppers Prakhavu with magical missiles. Just as the missiles are about to strike he utters a word and frantically blocks them, dispelling the magic at a moments notice.
Reaction- Counterspell Magic Missiles.
"That was too close." The Arclord nods to his apprentice who sends a wave of his own magic missiles back at Gypsy.
Magic Missile: 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (1, 3, 3) + 3 = 10

Gypsy Raven |

Looking at the apprentice, Gypsy projects in a clear, strong voice "That was a mistake. If you are lucky or surrender now, you may even live to regret it."

Eldrish Silversong |

here's where I wish I had prepped a fireball...
Not feeling the need for further talk and really wishing to avoid the giant statue in front of him, Eldrish charges around the hedges and trees to try to come at the wizard and his apprentice from a different angle, hoping his mirror images and the hastily chanted shield spell will protect him from reprisals, until he can take out the apprentice and wizard.
move, move, cast shield. AC 19/17 hardness 10

Magpie and Flint are up.

Flint Thunderstriker -PT- |

Flint's assault comes with righteous fury. His over-sized hammer comes crashing down not once, not twice, but three times in rapid succession.
Enlarged
1d20 + 8 - 1 ⇒ (18) + 8 - 1 = 25 for DMG: 2d8 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (1, 5) + 3 + 2 = 11

1d20 + 8 - 1 - 10 ⇒ (6) + 8 - 1 - 10 = 3
But the paladin only connects once!

![]() |

Eldrish begins to take the scenic route as Magpie continues to our more of her magic into Flint.
You are now also under the effects of haste.
Flint's hammer crashes into the statue's arm, sending small cracks forming within the stone. Hardness 7.
Arclord Prakhavu steps out from his cover as he becomes emboldened. His voices reaches a new height as a noxious spell begins to rise from the ground covering a great portion of the garden in it's noxious fumes.
@Magpie, Flint and Rilriv- You are each in a Stinking Cloud Spell. the red outline. DC 21 Fort Save vs it's effects each round that you end your turn in it.

Gypsy Raven |

Gypsy begins a chant and with one hand performs some intricate gestures that end with a tap to her chest. She then once again starts up some encouraging words, projecting them for her allies to hear as she strides forward toward the Arclord, carefully avoiding the noxious fumes.
2 actions cast Haste on self, 1 action Inspire Courage, hasted action Stride
Inspire Courage - You and all allies in the (60ft) aura gain a +1 conditional bonus to attack rolls, damage rolls, and saves against fear. Magpie, Flint, Rilriv

Rilriv |

Rilriv steps out of the cloud, quickly identifying his target at the Archlord himself. He approaches quickly- axe drawn in a fearsome rage.
"Taste steel, magi."
Attack, IC, Grease: 1d20 + 10 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (1) + 10 + 1 - 2 = 10 Damage, IC: 2d12 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (5, 5) + 5 + 1 = 16

The uncharacteristic anger from Rilriv clouds his vision, as does the lingering cloudy smoke, keeping him from making a clear attack on the Archlord.
I picked up my weapon last round. Do I get another check, or do I keep the -2?

![]() |

Rilriv, not Flint. :) You dwarves all look the same hehe.
@Rilriv- You keep the -2
Rilriv pushes past the animated statue and focuses on the Arclord himself, though he begins coughing on the noxious fumes, even with Gypsy's aid and inspiring song.
The apprentice calls out. "Matser!" He clenches his fist and a small ball of flames appears underneath Rilriv's feet.

If nothing by tomorrow morning I'll DM PC both of them. I know the holidays can be difficult for folks to post and wanted to give them a chance to come back and get their bearings again.

Flint Thunderstriker -PT- |

Thank you. The holidays and a cracked tooth laid me low. I'm still not "back" until likely Jan 1. Also, posting from my phone is less than ideal, looks like I might need to make a save?
He swings twice at the statue, hoping to finally knock it out of the fight:
Hammer +1: 1d20 + 8 - 1 ⇒ (15) + 8 - 1 = 22 for DMG: 2d8 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (3, 6) + 3 + 2 = 14
Hammer +1: 1d20 + 8 - 1 - 5 ⇒ (6) + 8 - 1 - 5 = 8 MISS
Flint moves, banking on not getting pummeled as he does so. Will take any retributive strikes as they arise in the coming round.

![]() |

Oof cracked tooth would definitely hurt a bit. No save unless you end your turn in the cloud.
The apprentice isn't even aware what killed him as Eldrish's blade slices right through his neck, felling him in a single blow.
Magpie rushes around the opposite end of the court to stay out of the terrible fog.
Flint's hammer smashes into the statue, cracking it a small bit further, though not nearly as much as he would like.
Arclord Prakhavu looks over at his apprentice. "You will regret that." A small bead of flame leaps from his fingertip as he retreats backwards. Flames erupt and burst covering Flint, Rilriv, Eldrish and the statue in magical fire.
Fireball Damage: 6d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 4, 1, 3, 5) = 18 DC 21 Reflex for half
Animated Statue Reflex: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Damage not incorporated below as awaiting saving throws.
The animated statue turns and continues to beat it's heavy fist down on Flint.
Stone Fist vs Flint AC 22: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Stone Fist vs Flint AC 22: 1d20 + 8 - 5 ⇒ (4) + 8 - 5 = 7
Flint's thick dwarven body easily absorbs the blows.

REF: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9 ouch. That's my second critical REF fail in 2nd er. I think on my only 2 rolls?
Eldrish curses and he takes the full brunt of the fiery magic, his protections barely slowing the heat down.
Staggering back, smoking he roars and spits out a pair of spells. Protecting himself and trying to rip the very life from the wizard, take him alive or no.
cast Shield 19/18 hardness 10, and vampire touch. Reach spell feat let's me do it from where I stand
Ranged Touch: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 8 + 1 = 26
Vampire Touch: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 3, 1) = 7

Gypsy Raven |

Gypsy's voice goes quiet for a moment before resuming in an arcane tongue. Her gestures are complex and those who look closely may see the glitter of some shiny powder. Her final gesture, timed with her final and forceful chant, points toward the arclord and three magic missiles go honing toward him.
Magic Missile damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Magic Missile damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Magic Missile damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Gypsy then uses her hastened condition to stride forward so she will be in range of her companions to inspire them.

Eldrish Silversong |

Should have gone for Blindness. Got scared by the fireball and wanted to steal some HPs

Rilriv |

Reflex: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24 -9 Hp (56/65)
Rilriv hefts his axe and moves forward again toward the Arc Lord.
"Fire is in my blood. I FORGE with fire!"
Attack, Inspire, Grease: 1d20 + 10 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 10 + 1 - 2 = 15 Damage: 2d12 + 5 ⇒ (6, 2) + 5 = 13
Attack, Inspire, Grease: 1d20 + 5 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 5 + 1 - 2 = 8 Damage: 2d12 + 5 ⇒ (3, 4) + 5 = 12

![]() |

Rilriv's axe misses as the arclord easily steps just out of it's path. Gypsy clicks her tongue as she peppers the arclord from behind with her magical missiles, breaking some of his ribs.
Eldrish begins to siphon off a portion of the man's life force as he links the two of them up.

The flames coil around the Arclord but a few manage to singe his exposed skin. Flint continues to hold the statue off as be bashes it with his hammer.

DMG: 2d8 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (6, 5) + 3 + 2 = 16

Even as he finishes, he stomps forward, blade ready, figuring if his spell didnt do the job he was just going to start cutting the wizard to pieces, request to take him alive be damned.

Flint Thunderstriker -PT- |

Thank you. The combination of super painkillers and research papers to grade is killing my ability to post. I'm blanking on the rules whilst grabbed. Will check and post.

Gypsy Raven |

Seeing her friends now within range of her voice, Gypsy once again begins to inspire them as best she can, "Two dwarves, one big, one small face their foes with might and right, two bring magic, a wizard and a sorcerer, that combine to combat and defeat any who stand against them."
Inspire Courage - You and all allies in the (60ft) aura gain a +1 conditional bonus to attack rolls, damage rolls, and saves against fear. Magpie, Flint, Rilriv, Eldrish
Then, as she hastily strides forward to bring herself in range of the arclord, Gypsy realises her plan to use Sound Burst would put her friends in jeopardy as well so instead she searches for loose but solid sticks she can fling at her opponent. Having found one, Gypsy adds to her chant, "Arclord, you should fear them for they defend the good that you choose to threaten, if you do not understand my point, perhaps you will get this one" and with that, she gestures to send the stick flying.
Ranged attack Telekinetic Projectile: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
Potential piercing damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Inspire Courage - 1 action

Telekinetic Projectile - 2 actions

![]() |

Rilriv, Gypsy and Flint are up. Last little bit folks, we are nearly there.

![]() |

Yes, I do. I was reading your name as I was typing. New Years hangover mixed with children is not beneficial to typing. :)

Flint Thunderstriker -PT- |

Flint tries to break free:
Athletics: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 7 + 1 = 17
If that works:
And he replies with a swing of his hammer: ATK: 1d20 + 8 - 1 ⇒ (17) + 8 - 1 = 24 for DMG: 2d8 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (7, 5) + 3 + 2 = 17
If not, that's a second Athletics check.

![]() |

Rilriv reaches down picks his axe back up and leaps at the Arclord.
Attack, Inspire, Grease: 1d20 + 10 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 10 + 1 - 2 = 12
Though the grease makes it difficult as he misses. Gypsy sends a stone hurtling past as it breaks against the cobblestone. Eldrish tosses dust into the air as he curses the Arclord's sight.
Fort Save: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
The Arclord's sight goes out like a light. "What have you done fools? You clearly don't understand internal politics."
Lightning crackles from Magpie's hands as a lightning bolt snaps across the man's body, convulsing and locking up every muscle within. "GWAHHHH!"
Damage: 4d12 ⇒ (4, 6, 7, 12) = 29
Reflex: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17
Flint flexes his muscles as he attempts to break free.
Opposed Athletics check 1: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
The animated golem is just too strong and Flint isn't able to break free.
Blinded and unable to see his foes the Arclord raises his hands into the air as six Quantium guards spill into the garden, Venture-Captain Sebnet tentatively following them. They quickly move to arrest the Arclord and help free the large dwarf from the stone's grasp.
As the clamor of battle dies down Venture-Captain Sebnet turns to you and offers thanks. "Outstanding performance in tracking him down!" She grabs the ag of holding that was stripped from the Arclord's body. "I suppose the Collected Directives is n here. I don't have a stake in the tome beyond hoping it doesn't spark further violence. What do you suggest we do with it?"
Nice job on the Blindness!

Rilriv |

"We could take the tome back to Absalom, and away from whomever would continue to pursue it with violence here. I am sure some in the society would find great value in such an object."
The dwarf pauses for a brief moment.
"Or we could just burn it...."

Gypsy Raven |

Gypsy looks askance at Rilriv, "Please, no burning of books. I too think that perhaps an at least temporary removal to Absalom for study and to determine if there is beneficial information that could be used in a productive, non-violent manner may be useful."

![]() |

Venture-Captain Sebnet thinks for a moment before heaving the bag over her shoulders. "I'll make sure the Society gets their hands on it to study it for a time. Thanks again for all of your help. I hope that it wasn't too much trouble. I'll send a report to the Grand Lodge in Absalom letting them know how you did." She scoots you back towards the galla. "Please head back into the party, enjoy yourselves now that this mess is all concluded."
This is the end. I hope you all enjoyed and I will get this reported ASAP.
As for your Playtest reporting sheet you can put in the following information.

Also don't forget to complete the survey which can be found here (Link).
The total amount of time this took if each day = 6 minutes would be: 564 minutes or 9.4 hours including the slower holiday weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas / New Years.

Flint Thunderstriker -PT- |

Thank you! I wasn't great about this game, and for that I apologize. Still, it was a great learning experience. Given the latest updates hinted at on Twitch, I'm ever hopeful for PF2! Thanks as always for running GM Tyranius.

Yea, I think it can and will be a great system, just have to clean up a few of the more confusing areas.
