![]() Well done, Rahiv. The big man places his hand on Rahiv's shoulder However, I agree that we all could use some repose. Let's make all due haste back to the Fort and pray to all our gods that nothing else happens. He shifts his eyes to Pekoe lying motionless on the floor. Here, help me lift her up... Ekran secures his shield to his back and unsheathes his sword, sticking it into the ground point down. He cradles Pekoe in his off-hand arm and then grasps his sword and rests it on his shoulder. Gather your things, we shouldn't press our luck. He says the last bit with a pale smile. ![]()

![]() Joza Fersig wrote: "Do we need to?" Joza replies, looking uncertain. "Last time we were there we resupplied so we could stay out here longer. Unless Voyla or someone really needs to return for something..." her voice trails off. Well, maybe just a short regroup at the very least. We can let Voyla bath and fill in Hellknights. Progress can be rewarding to the right ears ![]()

![]() Ekran scratches his chin pondering everyone's points before making his thoughts known... Fighting from the high ground is usually easier, so if something comes up from below to follow us up the rest of the tower, we would have the advantage. I vote to go up as well since we know it's finite, we don't know how deep the stairs go however...can anyone make some crude trap so if someone or something comes up we can hear them advance? ![]()

![]() Thanks! Ekran advances on the filthy bugger, a warm smile etches itself across his face. Come, come friend! You look famished! Please enjoy this feast I have prepared for you. With that Ekran swings his sword at the Skizzert. Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 Damage: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 ![]()

![]() Ekran nods at Rahiv's warning and positions himself on the opposite end of the door. As quietly as he can muster, he unfastens his shield and lays it by his feet. Gripping his sword in both hands he steels himself to attack the first thing that bursts through the entrance. Ekran readies an action to attack the first thing that comes through the door. ![]()

![]() Yes, just keep going until something jumps out and gobbles us up Whispering to his friends.. Indeed, if trouble hits us let's put them in a pincer maneuver...one of us on either side. Maybe that'll give us a better chance of us hurting them more than they can hurt us back. Ekran turns his head slightly back and forth, listening for danger... Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14 ![]()

![]() Ekran listens intently to everyone's feedback and nods affirmative. Good points, all. How about this: if Joza can help us find a thicket of trees or shrubbery, not too close or far from the Spire, we can make a partially secluded base camp. We can wait until nightfall (sleeping or preparing booby-traps around our perimeter). Our new scout Pekoe can find us a different entrance and when darkness comes, we make a break for it. Ekran gives pause to allow the others to approve or give alternate attack plans. ![]()

![]() Ekran rises earlier than most people expected, including himself. He finds a small area behind the stables and goes through various combat drills and fighting stances. He finds a small stick and also runs through one and two-handed sword techniques against invisible foes. Satisfied that he performed the maneuvers accurately enough, he jogs back into the inn for some breakfast only to find his companions already gathering... ![]()

![]() Agreed, we got a practice in and we all lived to tell the tale! Any battle that one can walk away from is a victory in Abadar's eyes. If we come up with a few sound tactics and battle plans we can definitely get more accomplished (and more loot!) He then takes a moment looking both Zinli and Rahiv in the eyes respectively... And don't let me hear that anyone was useless in combat! Just because you don't swing a big weapon or call down rocks from the sky onto our enemies, doesn't mean you did nothing! We are all alive thanks to everyone's collective efforts. I say we continue that streak!
