Creator here. I didn't manage to find a neat formula when I was trying to reverse engineer the price. It's an exponential of some sort. The Way I did it was to graph all of the weapons in the book by level vs price, then get an average price per level. That gives a base price per level. Then upon generation I simply add a random variance to the base price. So yeah probably not what you're looking for, but it does the job. ![]()
![]() Hi guys, I wanted to share with you a tool I made for starfinder statblock generation. It is a wizard that uses the alien archive NPC creation rules to build any statblock you can think up. The wizard creates it using the rules and then the statblock is editable so you can make changes any way you see fit. It makes creating usable monster prototypes very easy. Here is the first version. It still needs some work but it mostly works well.
Hope someone gets some use out of it! Example output: (formatting has been lost) Space Panther
DEFENCE
OFFENCE

The site is on GitHub, you can find the link on the main page and all the code is there. Basically yes the weapons are balanced, I modelled every weapon in the CRB and creates the generator from the results. That was the main thing I had in mind when creating the tool. ![]()

I figured players would want more credits so they could buy the loot they want instead of just using random loot. But perhaps I could add a "No credits" mode ![]()
![]() Hi guys. Just wanted to share with you some resources that I created for Starfinder. The new ones are a loot generator for creating randomised loot like the treasure tables for Pathfinder. Also a star system generator for generating Starfinder compatible solar systems. And also the weapon generator that was already there. I hope you get some use out of them, I had a lot of fun making them Link:

![]() http://www.sfrpgtools.com As you can see it is heavily inspired by borderlands, but with starfinder stats. I tried to match the damage curves as closely as possible to the weapon entries in the core rulebook so the damage per level for energy and kinetic weapon types are pretty balanced and will fit well in the game. I've had a lot of fun making this, let me know what you think! |
