"Well....we've come all this way. I suppose we'd better have a look, at least."

"Good day, Mr. Berekland. We've traveled here at the behest of one Brynne Taithe, who asked us to investigate a finding you wrote her about."

Edjarha strides around the giant, lashing out with a pair of kicks from a flanking position, before backing away once again.

Edjarha easily leaps across the water, dropping into his martial stance when he lands and weaving a magic defense.

"I didn't know there were hill giants around here."

"That's not going to work for us. If you walk away from this now, though, then no one gets hurt."

Edjarha moves up to the water's edge, casting a defensive ward and thinking about what he knows of this creature. Recall Knowledge. Guessing Society, which is +11.

Edjarha spends his time worrying and doing his best to aid Aragelda's navigation.

Edjarha pulls the compass he just bought, handing it to Aragelda as she navigates.

Aragelda has the best Survival among us, according to the macros sheet.

"Let's pick up a couple basic things on our way out of town."

Unless someone already has one, I'd like to purchase a compass from party funds on our way out of town. It might be worth getting a climbing kit or two; we can probably get away with sharing one, if we don't mind taking our time, but could buy one for each of us.

"Apologies for the misunderstanding. That sounds like a reasonable arrangement to me." Edjarha looks to his teammates for agreement.

Just to be clear, she advised us to pack accordingly but it also sounded like her bag of holding already has rations and camping gear. Do we have enough supplies for the journey, in that case, or do we need to get more?

"I hate to be too mercenary, but...is this Berekland willing to compensate us for our time? Repairing that old citadel is likely to require a fair expenditure."

Edjarha allows himself to be talked by the springing cubs, laughing as he fends off their mock attacks.

"Hello Warble! And hello to you too, you two." Edjaraha grins, and turns back to the goblin. "What brings you up this way, Warble?"

"Alak, I didn't see you there! It's good to meet you Dunlin; my name is Edjarha. Please, come in." Edjarha leads Alak and his new companion into the citadel. "The repairs coming along slowly, but we're making progress. Some see for yourself. Dunlin, Aragelda is within."

Edjarha looks up from the wobbly table he's commandeered as an administrative desk. Setting down his quill, he strides to the gate, pulling it open against its rusty hinges. "Yes? How can I help you?"

Edjarha's next week is a busy one, spent on a variety of tasks. He spends a day organizing and tending to the administrative tasks necessary to establish ownership of the citadel, helps Davian finish cleaning.

Society to Administer: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24 I'm assuming that's a success, but it would be great to have the DC on the slide to know for sure.

Pausing here after 1 day spent administering, and 1 day spent finishing the cleaning task, until hopefully Aragelda can hire some workers.

Honestly, I feel like we're a little light on offense, so some sort of heavy hitter would be good. A champion for out of combat spam healing and flank-and-tank purposes wouldn't be terrible either.

Edjarha ushers everyone back from the top edge, then takes aim and fires a beam of icy energy at the mushrooms, watching carefully to see what happens.

Edjarha's suggestion is that we move back up to the top cliff, then hit whatever part of it we can with ray of frost and see what happens. He's happy to try it with the rest of you standing farther back, if you'd like.

Edjarha, seeing Ralldar collapse, slumps back for a moment to catch his breath before clambering to his feet. "That was unexpected and..." Turning, he looks for the party's new friend. "Thank you, whoever you are. I'm not sure we would have survived that without you."

Edjarha's eyes snap open again as Gideon's soothing magic flows over him. He scrambles up to his feat and, feeling a bit desperate, lashes out at the 'god'.

I think, reading the 'Durations' paragraph in the book, that even though I was unconscious, the spell is still going until it's duration ends (the end of my next turn, in case of a sustained spell). If that's not the case, and I can't sustain it again, then I'll attack a third time.

"Argh!" Edjarha shrinks back from the monster's gaze for a moment, sustaining his ward before gritting his teeth against the pain and returning to the offensive!
