OOC:
Sorry folks, our executive committee arrived from Israel yesterday without much warning. I've been swamped over here. Things seem to have calmed down enough that I can post regularly again.
Edit to add: with Ideyoshi's extra move action, Drogusk gets a second attack.
I'm guessing I'm going Hierophant as Champion and Marshal are out there now. Monday is being busier than usual, but I should have an updated Drogusk up before CoB today.
Drogusk steps forward to examine the last of the artifacts, wanting to argue with the crone but deciding against it. He picks up the small metal board and eyes it warily.
User: Place component within reach. He frowns as the voice rings in his head.
"Fine..." He says with a sigh. The board is held over his shoulder and a field pulls it out of his hand. The wires snake into place and a bead lights up.
Upgrading. An empty bar pops into view in his eyepiece. Currently reading 3% and increasing rapidly.
User: Egress of final humanoid renders situation adequate for conversation once more. says the voice in Drogusk's head.
"Yeah... I get that..." Drogusk looks back towards Tasha and nods with a grin. "Well done." With that he heads back to his horse, eyeing his companions as he does. Not surveying a threat, just assessing him allies.
"Notification: Puns are the lowest form of wit." BrainPal's voice rings out for all to hear.
Drogusk too rushes forward, his falchion crackling with energy as he does so. He brings the blade down into the shoulder of the nearest unoccupied troll.

Drogusk gives his horse a kick in the ribs. As he passes by Skaar he gives a nod of approval, whether for the display of prowess or the deed itself is anyone's guess. His head cants slightly to the side as if he's listening to someone talk.
BrainPal speaks up, it's voice ringing in his ears. Querry: resources expended on irrelevant task. Why does User approve?
Drogusk says quietly to himself, "He did a good thing and no one got hurt. Why wouldn't I approve?"
Drogusk once again brings his crackling blade down upon the "shoulder" of the fire elemental. As he does, his companion calls out, "Database access complete: Warning: abnormal anatomy of powerful being from Plane of Fire reduces damage of all incoming kinetic action. Warning: combustion upon contact likely. Warning: specialized tactics recommended based upon creature specifics; recommendations uploaded to Heads Up Display. Targeting assistance activated."

The tinny voice of the BrainPal echoes around the square, audible to all. Warning! Extra-planar creature detected. Accessing database. User is advised to delay action until--
Drogusk is having none of it. With a grunt he moves up to the Tien man, knowing that his kin are more likely to take care of themselves. He draws his falchion as he approaches and the blade crackles with energy.
He swings hard at the beast, roaring something that might resemble language, depending on how much Orc blood is in you.

Drogusk strolled through the streets of Blackcrag, looking for a place to sit and think about where he was. Neither of these were strengths of his, but the BrainPal had insisted.
He found a tavern and kicked a seat out to plant himself upon. He ordered a bitter ale and, when it arrived he ordered a second with a smile. He was halfway through gulping down the first tankard when the voice in his head chimed in. It's tinny falsetto making him wince.
User, I do not understand your obsession with poisoning yourself.
"You wouldn't... Can't you leave me drink in peace?" He relied aloud, getting a confused look from the barmaid as she brought the second mug. "No... Not you... Nevermind..."
User, mild tectonic activity observed upon entry to this community. Expedience is recommended in this visit.
Drogusk just sighs and continues drinking his ale.
This is a blanket apology going out to all the threads I’m active in. We had a surprise FDA inspection last week and my life was flipped upside down for the majority of the last 7 days. They’re gone and life should be back to normal. Sorry about the absence.
I'll work on catching up, it looks like you guys made quite a bit of progress without me.
Durjaya moves to walk with the old man as Khar stops him. He follows to the mans seat and squats beside him. Can I help you, sir? Do you know why they were accosting you?
Durjaya surges forward putting his hips and shoulder into the swing at the tengu. He probably would have heeded Anja's words, or even those of the tengu, if he wsn't already in motion. A half-orc in motion tends to stay in motion...
Whenever we've the opportunity, Durjaya will charge forward. I can do all of the rolls and such when the time is right, but he's not really going to weigh out the situation when someone's being ganged up on.
Oh! Certainly. Durjaya hands the cards over. He appears to be careful to avoid touching the elf. Or avoid the elf touching him, it's not abundantly clear.
As the monk and barbarian begin tossing words about, Durjaya shifts his position to one somewhere between the two. Please. I know you both mean well, but this will end only in pain.
He turns to face Anja directly, expecting Shan to be a bit more patient. We will find the trouble in these lands. We will confront it and, if necessary, we will inflict violence upon it.
He swiftly turns to Shan-yu and continues, We will reconnoiter the area and learn all that we can about the lands we are in. First, we need to learn the people that are here and out strengths and weaknesses.
He decides there's nowhere better to start than himself. I wasn an anchorite in quiet contemplation to Sarenrae before being sent out into the world. I do not know what led to my expulsion. I have been very careful in my dealings with the church.
I marched with the white cloaks, but I do not believe that I have much to offer in military prowess. The Dawnflower guides my hand, but she can only mould the clay so much.
The broad half-orc rises to his feet and looks to the half-elf. I can carry my weight in a fight if it comes to blows. Goddess willing it doesn't come to that.
Looking about the tattered circus, This place looks too run down to really have much threat left into it...
Shaking the mists from his head he says, Where are my manners. I am Durjaya.
Alright, Here's what I've got at the moment for gear. I have ~3200 remaining. I'd love to spend it.
Full Plate of Light Fortification +1
Keen Falchion +1
Headband of Alluring Charisma +2
Belt of Giant's Strength +2
Wand of CLW
Cloak of Resistance =2

*I bought this as a spell book. There's no listing for "Holy Text" or anything like it in the CRB.
**To cover the Sackcloth celice and the steel one.
Durjaya rose from the earth he tried to sleep upon, finding no rest in the night. He'd tossed and turned and his sackcloth silice was soaked with sweat. Patiently he unfastened the restrictive garb and set it aside.
He kneeled in prayer to Sarenrae and, as he did, lifted his leather crop and set to mortifying his flesh. The tough network of flesh on his back resisted the leather and the bits of bone tied to the ends of the strands.
With his morning prayers taken care of early he rises to his feet and begins preparing for the day. First, the steel celice...
-------------
Durjaya straightened his white tabard to ensure that the symbol of Sreanrae was properly positioned over his breast plate and strode out of the tent provided him by the White Cloaks. He snatched up the haversack that he was required to carry with all of his needed supplies.
He stolled down the trail following his own feet to he knew not where. His duties were not until later that evening and he had time to spare. Perhaps he could find some paupers to feed and heal.
-------------
Durjaya stopped and looked up. He'd been lost in thought, contemplating a particular passage in The Birth of Light and Truth. I see. He says to himself as he can see that he's once again standing before the Harrower's tent.
-------------
Dawnflower, preserve us...
Durjaya stoops down, head still spinning from the trip through the portal, and scoops up the Harrowing deck. I do not. I know little of the magicks of witches.
He stands and looks agape at their surroundings. I... He doesn't even know where to start, Where are we?
Durjaya carries an air of innocence, surprising in one as old as he is. He looks at almost everything with an eye bright with naivete.
