I haven't been keeping up with the discussion and a search turned up nothing so.. How usable will the spell and equipment decks be after the Remaster? I know the schools are changing as well as some of the names, which will be more of an annoyance than a real issue. Has anything else been revealed that will render some or all of the deck obsolete? Thanks.
I was checking the event catalog and the PF Special has been split into distinct tickets by levels? In the past there just has been one ticket and level marshaling was done in the Sagamore, but now we have to go after tickets for our level? This seems overly complicated and the ticket spread very odd as well: Level 1-3 = 36 tickets, level 3-4 = 78 tickets, and levels 5-6 = 162 tickets. Is this as intended and, if so, what the hell? Thanks.
Can Paizo confirm that it's because Troll & Toad will be selling their products and not because they've had a change of plans? Just to Nip things in the bud, Andy. Thanks.
The purpose of this thread is to list issues with rules interactions that are not clear or may cause issues, any typos in the play test, and bring up unresolved difference between the first and second edition that might cause confusion. This more for Paizo to quickly review mechanical issues that need explained more clearly than to work out issues or suggest changes. Try to avoid discussing opinion or issues here, if there is an issue and it's being discussed somewhere, link to the thread. CLARIFICATION:
What about physical effects like Blind? What happens to the Eidolon when the Summoner goes to sleep or is rendered unconscious? Is there a time limit on the Eidolon being on this plane or can it remain until forced back? TYPO
1E ARTIFACTS
How many HP would the Eidolon have after being resummoned? RAW says as many at the Summoner, but 1E was half HP. Stating HP equal to the Summoner would avoid confusion.
"You are trained in the use of talismans and similar magical paraphernalia. This training might have occurred in a formal classroom or been an agglomeration of folk magic picked up over time. You can craft talismans and know the formulas for all common talismans in the Core Rulebook of your level or lower. You remember talisman formulas and don't need a formula book for them. Additionally, you carry a collection of magical baubles you can turn into temporary talismans. Each day during your daily preparations, you can make two talismans with an item level no higher than half your level. You must know each talisman's formula. A talisman created this way is a temporary item and loses its magic the next time you make your daily preparations if you haven't already used it." The dabbler has the formulas for free, but to make a standard talisman they would have to have Magical Crafting and follow the standard magical crafting rules? Or does the "You can craft talismans" give you the ability to make them with no ranks in crafting? Do you till follow the rules for time and cost? Thanks.
This came up in a couple of other discussions in the PF and SF organized play forums, this will deal mostly with Pathfinder organized play. Several player, myself included, are unhappy with non-Core races being locked behind boons for Society organized play. I had an issue with it in 1E and the 2E AP system, while an improvement, is still too limiting. I simply do not see a good rational for keeping new races from being played at will in Pathfinder Society. If you bought the book, you should be able to use the race. The AP system does let you earn points to unlock the race, but it was calculated in the other thread you would have to play once a week for a year to earn a Leshy or Iruxi and one a week for two years for a Hobgoblin. I cannot remember the last time I played once a week. I think it is unnecessarily limiting to a players options and may turn away new players who do not understand how uncommon races work. There is an Iruxi on the cover of the LO:CG, any new player looking at it would reasonably say "I can play a Lizardman, cool." only to shot down later. Thought? "Finesse Training (Ex): At 1st level, a rogue gains Weapon Finesse as a bonus feat. In addition, starting at 3rd level, she can select any one type of weapon that can be used with Weapon Finesse (such as rapiers or daggers). Once this choice is made, it cannot be changed. Whenever she makes a successful melee attack with the selected weapon, she adds her Dexterity modifier instead of her Strength modifier to the damage roll. If any effect would prevent the rogue from adding her Strength modifier to the damage roll, she does not add her Dexterity modifier. The rogue can select a second weapon at 11th level and a third at 19th level." My 3rd lvl rogue is using the Elven Curved Blade, which is two handed. Would I add half of his Dex mod for two handed wielding using this ability or would I still use his strength bonus? Thanks.
I check my order from last Friday and there was the message by the CC info Payment authorization Expires tomorrow What does that mean? Will my order get kick out and I loose my items? I can understand the slow shipping with the increased volume, but has my order even been entered and accepted? Thanks.
A few questions I could use some help with: 1)If an Eidolon is being affected by an on-going effect, stat loss or blindness for example, does banishing it with HP remaining and re-summoning them have any remove the on-going effect? What if they're killed and re-summoned the next day? 2) If the answer to 1) is no, does the time they spend in their home dimension count toward the recovery time of the effect? 3) Would Eidolons recover from an effect without help in the first place? Eidolons can't heal damage without a spell, would stat damage regenerate naturally or would magic be needed to recover? Thanks!
Hello I have a few questions about eidolons, specifically for my 2nd lvl summoner: 1. How good is the communication between the summoner & eidolon? If the eidolon is scouting ahead, can it give a complete description of what it's seeing? Vague description? Or is the communication one way only, summoner to eidolon? 2. If I have a quadruped eidolon, which has a bite attack, and take claws. If I make 3 attacks per round, is there a penalty to any of the attacks? If so, do I get to pick which is the main attack? Both bite and claws are listed as primary attacks. Thanks. |
