He continues to fly around the town, stopping to speak with people about the wonderment of the new changes to their new lives. Telling many of them to stay in their houses, and soon there would be no more reign of terror. His regal and charismatic charm brings many of them reassurance. He also tells them if they are hurt to go to the temple district, but after being in his aura, most are fine staying home.
This likely takes hours... so unless someone asks for him or tries to find him for anything, he is blissfully unaware.
He moves his wrist and the shadow demon leaves his shadow and joins hers. He states, "Arthur has been working on getting more of them."
On a side note so I don't make another spoiler: You have seen Sly. He is the little lizard that has been on Desser's shoulder!!! LOL! He doesn't even know there is a bronze dragon on his shoulder!!!
She turns to Dom, “Dom I have a different mission for you one more suitable for your talents. Because of your speed, you are best suited for running around town and spreading my message. Run to every corner of cinder and spread the word. Gather all slaves, women and children to the temple district. Free as many as you can. I will stay here, keeping them safe from outside influences.
He smiles and simply nods. Soon he runs off and even takes to the air.
Kenyu smiles at them before nodding, “Good job then, we should be fine from here on. They escalate their lies because they want to keep an alliance with us while still doing their dirty work. That is to be expected, I am not surprised they would try to test us limits this way. Mmm, but what to do from here…”
She turns to Hrothgarn, “ Mmmm, I wonder why would he send you to deal with Craterlord black and have one of their own deal with him first? Another trick of his, though to what end? It’s not care for civilians that drives him. I read his intentions as he talked to me. I would most closely associate him to a politician. He believes himself just, believes he is improving the town. He thinks taking over and destroying the craterlords is a good thing.”
Kenyu scoffs before saying, “but like a typical politician, he doesn’t care about the people that much. I could sense his determination to help the people of cinder declining the second he ran into any roadblock, in this case me. I would expect him to sacrifice the town the instant anything comes up. If I recall correctly he mentioned pawning off stewardship of this town to some Myriana. Have either of you met her?”
Kenyu then grins, “I’d expect he wishes to play me like the old politicians in our old world. Let’s see. If he doesn’t intend to fight an open war, then the likely method he will employ is containment. People like him do not fight wars they do not think they can win so war is unlikely. They will likely try to distract and contain us somehow. Perhaps that is why the vampire is so willing to give up her food source. Overwhelm us with people who are injured. I say we act first. Dom do you know of a way to contact Guildmaster Arthur. I must inform him of the situation and advise him how to continue.”
He relays, "From what I have heard, taking over and destroying the craterlords is a good thing. Some were just bandit lords welcomed by the nobles. Together, they enslaved most of the civilians and erected a tyrannical bandit-led government. This is a free state like Drother. These towns are in a middle ground between the dwarven kingdoms and ohh... I can't remember the name of the coastal kingdom... Nonetheless, bandit-run towns are a normal thing in this region. I haven't been in the area long enough to make a difference. I have been mostly helping out the dwarven kingdoms."
He smiles and then states, "Yes, Myriana. She is a fey-touched catfolk. I believe she was a vampire before. She has a human-turned-fey touched witch as a partner. They recently had a falling out over... Desseer and others are being overly cruel. I didn't hear it all, but there were a lot of magical manipulations being done. I was not in the room, just heard tidbits. Plus, without your aura, there was little I could do against a room of them alone. Also, their territory. I know very fence sitting, but you know that is the line I toe. But back to Myriana, she is a better person, I think, not as manipulative. She was dancing and blinding people like crazy, but... so crazy and power drunk. But honestly, which of them is not?"
A cheshire grin crosses his face and offers, "Yes, I have a token for sending. You each should have one... well, not Hrothgarn, as he is a neutral party. Also, if it's not enough, the shadow demon can teleport you to the obelisk and then back home so you can speak with him directly. Though Kenyu, knowing Arthur, he will be pleased with your decision and support you 100%. As will I with any force you need."
"I feel Kenyu's presence has escalated their half-truths. I have dealt with many of them and found them to be pleasant if not evilly aligned. They reach for power. As you know I reached for the order. They can overlap some. Even as I believed their words I didn't act on them, I used my own logic first."
He nonchalantly states, "How can I deal with it. I don't I use naivete. Also his skills are stronger than me as you are of his. You are both in the major leagues and I am still in high school. Now with your wonderful boost I might be in the minor leagues... See ya John don't go kill any of my friends!"
He walks up, and the wound heals instantly. With his charismatic smile, he states, "Any and all healing that needs to be done by wounds or ability damage I can restore given enough time. Kenyu, you should have known not much healing would actually be provided free of charge by this cathedral. It's not in their nature. They will bring back the hurt to be healed under the force of payment."
He nods to the priest and openly states, "Why are we dealing with clerics and priests of Asmodeous? I feel they are just another blight upon the land."
He coughs and asks, "Thorin seems a bit out of sorts so Hrothgarn... you going to answer the pretty lady?" Diplomacy - Please:1d20 + 24 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 24 + 15 = 49
He nods to Myriana and states, "If you need me, just let me know. I suppose I will just go for a jog then..."
As he is about to head out due to the lack of response, he sees his allies. He runs over to them. He goes and gives Kenyu a big hug! "Hey Kenyu, it is good to see you, where were you hiding?" He gives her some space, his hand lingering longer than it should, and nods to the giant.
In his velvety smooth voice that of a divine god, he states, "Hrothgarn... Thorin... should we speak here or move to a more private location... oh and who is your friend?"
"Yes, this is RARGHG," Desseer confirms. "Trox that focuses on high damage hits. Great against enemies with high DR that can't be overcome." He then looks between the sparring partners. "RARGHG is right, I need to speak with you. You have someone making maneuvers here in Cinder. Do you have any more I should know about?"
He stretches and walks over as well, his voice is as smooth as velvet and welcoming, "Honestly, I don't know what you speak of. I am here with Thorin and Hrothgarn Jotunsmith as diplomatic envoys between our great guilds. I know of no one else making maneuvers on behalf of our great guild. Though Arthur has his ways, and this is the first time I have been in this city. Should we discuss inside, or I could spar with someone else? If there was anyone watching us, they would surely have fled for their lives."
RARGHG and Dom, step outside probably to the street.
RARGHG:
His AC would be a 44 as he didn't cast shield. Mage armor is always on. Thank you eternal wands!
She had hit Dom once: 75 damage. Then 2 rounds of healing: 30. So only 45 damage by the end of round 5. Oh wait with the -4 on nonlethal... yup she missed.
-
Yeah, cleave and great cleave could do wonders!
He laughs and merrily says, "You nearly hit me multiple times! If you struck me a few times I would have needed to retreat to heal up. But as you said it was merely a spar. You are amazingly strong! You made me work for my defense, most of those I have faced can't hit me even as I stand. But we are players so it makes sense we hold true power. Do you have another form? Oh I also didnt use my punishing kicks which may have made you prone and staggered. I hope to see your fighting skills in the future."
He smiles and simply states, "Of course I have nothing else to do and would welcome some exercise. Are we going all out and should go out to the courtyard or the street; but you said spar. So yes we can fight here and see who is knocked out first. Let me take off a few of my magical items...
Okay! Come at me!"
Round 1
He waits for you to make the first move then unloads a flurry of blows.
140 damage without DR applied... looking to see if I bypass that Lawful DR...Nope that is 10th level. So 140-30=110 damage nonlethal, except for the cold he can't turn off. It would be +3d6 for each hit in cold if he was hitting with everything.
Removed: Frozen Amulet of Mighty Fists (Wish)
+2 to unarmed attack and damage, +1d6 cold damage (Frost), Can only be used by Lawful Half Dragon
Dominique stands up from his meditative stance. He walks towards her. He oozes charisma, his voice smooth and confident as he addresses the chitinous creature—not as a horror of plates and mandibles, but as if it were a radiant beauty worthy of admiration. His words glide with warmth and sincerity, turning revulsion into allure, and for a moment the creature seems almost flattered, its alien presence softened under the weight of his effortless charm. "Well hello there, what are you looking for?" He steps forwards and touches your scales with a graceful sweep.
He nods and moves quickly. You find the Craterlord's head mounted and eight of his guards as well. Dom waiting patiently for you to areive. Each head was pierced and frozen in place. "As you requested?"
He brings forth many gem encrusted items. Some glowed, others simply good craftsmanship. He didn't seem to know which were magical unless it was obvious.
With a sultry smile that seems to penetrate your beating heart, making it go faster, "I found a few baubles of note. I believe these are magical. Though please make a sweep with detect magic to see if I missed anything." Even to his words you are sure he found all the magical items.
He then easily leads Myriana into the bowels of the complex to find the Craterlord. There he asks blatently before the Craterlord, "You want me to knock him out first" He lets any attacks come at him and dodge unless it would hit Myrianna then he takes the attack, likely still deflected.
The craterlord had indeed shot Dom with a pair of flintlock pistols. Then he cowers behind his desk. He does question, "What do you want? Are you the monsters making chaos? You must be. I can pay you, please don't kill me."
He coughs and states, "If you don't want the direct approach as I offered. Then we could go in as entertainment. I am a really good dancer. Say the word and I will get us into this 'warehouse'."
In a blurr a figure appears running down the street and quickly comes to stop beside you. He charismatically offers, "Arthur sends his regards, do you need my services?"
He offers, "I will go investigate that ward other there, you head South and see who you can funnel this way." With that said he zips off with astounding speed.
"If our allies are the cause of this, they'd better have a tale worth telling,"
He eyes the giant, "Oh sir, calling them allies would be a far stretch. I believe we have a non aggression pact at the most to the least of understanding to not be in each other's way."
We teleport out of the Dragon Glory's Guildhall. To an obelisk. Then after a 10 minute cool down you teleport to another obelisk. From there you travel by foot for a half hour until you come to the Northern Gate. There you enter into a merchant ward and it looks relatively vacant. There are no people on the streets and only a few guards.
If you approach a guard they ask, "Whom do you serve?"[/qoute]
"Greetings we serve a higher purpose. What is going on? We are here to help."
He happily states, "then we go as emissaries of Dragon's Glory! Do you want to stop by their guild first or head towards Cinder? Indeed Hrothgarn would be a welcome addition." He rolls his eyes, knowing full well they are nearly brothers and that they both trust me well enough.
He backs up, letting Thorin have his space. Slyly, he states, "That is up to you. They know who I am, Arthur, Domoyuku, and Lillith. You could come in as just an adventurer or as a full-fledged member of Dragon's Glory. Which will it be? This is more of a diplomatic mission, but we gather information as well, anyway." Arthur nods in agreement.
He comes out of another teleportation circle and comes up to give Thorin a big hug. Knowing full well it will make him uncomfortable. You can feel his healing aura wash over you. "So we heading up to Cinder then. I heard that is where they are heading." The charisma literally oozing out of him.
"None of them seemed to really engage with us. Well when the time comes there will be a clash and our guild will decimate them. To the Dwarves then!" A shadow wraps around him and he offers his hand. Then teleports them to the northern outpost of the Dwarven kingdom.Unless you want to do something specific, I will present options.
He casually walks in from outside and stops seeing the confrontation. But then relaxes and walks over to Iris and Myrianna. He charismatically asks, "Is there anything I can do for you?! Anything." He holds a tray of chilled glasses and a mixture of different drinks ready to serve.
sense motive DC 13:
The message was suppose to lead to possible charnel instead it seems more like he is peddling drugs.
bluff:1d20 ⇒ 1
You can use Bluff to pass hidden messages along to another character without others understanding your true meaning by using innuendo to cloak your actual message. The DC of this check is 15 for simple messages and 20 for complex messages. If you are successful, the target automatically understands you, assuming you are communicating in a language that it understands. If your check fails by 5 or more, you deliver the wrong message. Other creatures that receive the message can decipher it by succeeding at an opposed Sense Motive check against your Bluff result.
He walks out of Heather's hut and introduces himself! "I am Dominique Silverstone of Dragon's Glory, The Lightning. May our guilds flourish and grow together!"
He is a very charismatic and imposing figure of thickly corded muscles which you can see on his mostly exposed arms. The Elven white spider silk kimono covers him with grace, the minor colors expressing fealty to the guild. With the turn of his head, many swoon at his smile.
A towering figure of 7’1” and 300 pounds of pure muscle and sinew, Dom is larger than any half-orc you have seen. His nearly perfect white skin seems like it has never seen the sun. There are silver scales that cover nearly the rest of his body. His copper-colored spiky hair is kept short. A mithril headband of beauty rests upon his temples with light blue sapphires augmenting its simplicity. His eyes match the light blue sapphires of the headband, pools for interests to fall into. An intricate black leather belt with three glowing sunstones resides on his waist, with multiple sheathes which you soon find out hold wands. Metal gauntlets reside on his hands with a silver band with a glowing ruby. Upon his neck looks to be an amulet made of chunks of ice. Finally upon his feet are black leather boots with mithril fittings. Glowing yellow lightning bolts are on the outside of each of the boots.
With items set aside upon a table. He walks up to the table and begins his spell. It takes ten minutes, plenty of time for everyone to sit down. Once done you see a great feast, including service, food and drink.
Walking with Domayoku and his retinue they return to the witch's exterior using teleportation. Then he walks with several nice cloaks ahead and finding Heather's hut he goes to speak with her.
Heather:
He lays on the charisma, "Do you have a place I can put gifts. My lord wanted to offer several nice items. I have several personal items that I wish you to have as well."
Looking up from his book he offers, "Yes I can provide a Bountiful Banquet, it is a a beautiful and delicious feast with hors d’oeuvres, four courses worth of food, and plentiful drink. The food appears on ornate serving trays or in exquisite covered tureens, as appropriate to each type of dish. Place settings and serving utensils also appear—enough for each creature that will participate in the feast—along with elegant tablecloths and table linens. The spell doesn’t create furniture, but the feast does adapt to appear on top of existing tables. Though the feast and all the finery last only 1 hour, creatures that partake remain nourished and sated for 24 hours. Though you have little control over the fine details of the feast, you can specify what type of dish you want for each course and what sorts of beverages are provided. I can provide for 14 individuals."
He looks at Desseer with a knowing look, his mind like a vice lock. He stops juggling, the rocks disappearing into the folds of his clothing and book under his arm. He bows before her with a predatory smile.
Stating, "I just didn't want to sway your beautiful attention to just myself. I am Dominique Silverstone! There are plenty here to speak so I will just be a handsome wall flower or eye candy."
diplomacy:1d20 + 20 ⇒ (15) + 20 = 35
After following into the hut, he grabs a few sweets and finds a comfy couch to rest on pulling his book out again. He puts it away if someone comes over to him.
