The unexpected tap on the shoulder violently pops Dog Tooth out of his productivity bubble. The concoction turns sour as a greenish-blue flame spikes out of the beaker. Narrowly missing the flame, Dog Tooth pulls off his goggles and turns around to face Ami, singe marks outlining where the goggles were. He stares at her silently for an uncomfortable period, breathing heavily, holding eye contact. As his tension dissipates, his breathing slows, and he finally speaks. "Ami, p-please.. please don't touch me w-when I am working. Give me a minute to unwind and I'll take care of it" He turns back around and packs everything he's used back into it's proper place, then heads to Ami's locked drawer. What a waste. I almost had a pretty good batch of Alchemist's Fire, too. At least there's no one here to beat me for my failure, but damn if I don't feel like I deserve it.

I say we get the jump on him before he has a chance to uh piece things together. P-perhaps Grumblejack and Kalethe can grapple him and uh break his h-hands... y'know, so he can't cast a thing on any of us. The landing is cramped but it c-could deter him from casting anything that may harm him in the process due to proximity. Or, if we attack in the Library, he may be too cautious to damage any of his precious books, or uh..tapestry. Just, uh, just some ideas.

So I picked up the Alchemy Manual and there's a bunch of awesome things that I'm interested in learning along the way. Would you allow the crafting of alchemical bolts? I figured Dog Tooth would keep a set of "trick" bolts for his light crossbow along with other alchemical weapons for special occasions. Also, re: my earlier post about combat role

As Granius and Kalethe argue, Dog Tooth begins to pace anxiously. Not knowing what to expect outside of the current room is getting to him. He is conflicted. What he knows as logical is to wait until after sun down, while the guards play their games but what he feels is tugging at him, telling him to run as far away from Branderscar as possible. "Paul, Kalethe is right. We've got to wait, at least until sundown. I hate the idea of wasting even another second here but uhhh, that's logic for ya. S-sometimes it's best to do what you don't want to do. We'll wait. While we wait, we can have Itzal go back up the thing and scope the grounds out. From there we can piece together a crude map of the place and figure out where we're going."

GM : My internet access is going to be limited through out the day and I don't want to slow down combat. Feel free to GMPC if need be. DT is currently preoccupied with what's beyond the room, if there are more items and weapons that could be used in the guard room, etc. As soon as the door opens, he'll stealth his way to the next room to scout it out, rummage through crates, drawers or whatever for key rings, weapons, potions, scrolls, anything that may be of use to the group.
