Deep Blue responds telepathically. Well, surely, getting out should be easier than getting in - as long as we make it back to our borrowed ship, it is only 1d6 days back to the Pact Worlds, via the Drift. They then shrug. That said, I doubt the authorities would be *too* broken up by the erasure of this particular cult - they seem to be a group that feels the 'mainstream' Azlanti are too 'gentle', and that strikes me as... worrying. Better to smother this particular ember in the cradle, before it can become a problem.

Mysticism: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (16) + 23 = 39. Deep Blue inclines their head in a nod of acknowledgement. Culture - Skill Mastery 'Take 10' = 35, for information about Atuity. Alright. So, an off-the-books black-op. Does the Pact Worlds government know about your little information-gathering exercise, or is it... completely unsanctioned?

Culture - Skill Mastery 'Take 10' = 35. Sorry to be a bother, but how about magic items that grant limited telepathy? I won't be able to communicate with any of you without it. Since, in their natural state, Stellifera lack vocal cords... and communicate via colour-changes. If that is not allowed, can I have pencil and paper so I can write questions down?

What can I say? After learning more about Them when I visited the Scoured Stars, something about their portfolio just... clicked... with me. They then waggle a tentacle in greeting to each of the mentioned individuals, one of their suit's hands likewise waving hello. It is a pleasure to meet each of you!

A suit of incredibly ornate Aeon Guard armor strolls into the room, and bows its head at the party, as you hear a telepathic voice echo through your minds. Greetings, everyone. Apologies for the tardy arrival. My name is difficult to pronounce in the Common tongue, but the closest approximation would be 'Deep Blue With White Highlights', or 'Deep Blue' for short. I am an explorer, a pathfinder, and a travelling Priest of Kadrical, the Covetous Protector. As for why I am here in particular... They remove their helmet, the environmental protections disengaging with an audible hiss, revealing the severe-looking face of a middle-aged Azlanti male with close-cropped greying hair and a well-trimmed goatee. It will be nice to return... *home*, for want of a better word... after so long. Rest assured, my loyalty is *not* to the Aeon Throne. At that, their head splits in two, revealing the 'Azlanti man' is actually a suit of powered armor, with a three-inch-long cuttlefish sitting in a saddle surrounded by levers, touch panels, and even a steering wheel, roughly in the middle of where the 'brain' should be in a 'normal' human. It's a DC 40 Perception check to see through Deep Blue's 'disguise', so when he isn't showing off, it should be very difficult to notice ;-)

Obviously, I don't had an iron in this particular fire. If you want my advice, though... Once someone has done something... bad... it becomes easier to do the same thing again. He has already betrayed you once, and not only that, he *murdered* someone. Not in self-defense, but because someone he loved asked him to. What is going to stop him from doing it again? If you simply let him go, what is going to stop him from betraying you again, or deciding you are to 'blame' and trying to kill you, or sell you out to the Veskarium? The Society does not, unfortunately, maintain their own prison any more, so we can't even offer that as an option. Your choices really amount to detaining him yourself, cutting him loose, deciding to 'trust' him again, after all he has done, and let him work with you moving forward... or putting him down humanely. Ultimately, the choice is yours. Leadership comes with hard situations, that demand difficult solutions.

Feeling slightly more hopeful, despite the appearance of some rather nasty saw-blades, Deep Blue jinks the mech back, and fires off another shot. Laser Rifle: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (12) + 17 = 29, for 5d6 + 8 ⇒ (3, 3, 5, 4, 4) + 8 = 27 damage.

My reading was that you couldn't use the same thing twice in one action (so, for example, you could not use Aim twice on the same attack), but you could, in theory, combine multiple different 'PP costs' into one action.
Male Stellifera Priest Operative 11 (SP 77/77) (HP 90/90) (EAC 22, KAC 25) (Fort +4, Ref +13, Will +12) (Init +15) (Perception +23)
@Skorpahlich: Or at least, consider it for *next* round, since if we don't kill it then, we probably won't be around any longer (and at that point, taking a full attack from it in melee won't make much of difference - destroyed is still destroyed). Sorry for the multi-posting; I am just getting a little nervous!
Male Stellifera Priest Operative 11 (SP 77/77) (HP 90/90) (EAC 22, KAC 25) (Fort +4, Ref +13, Will +12) (Init +15) (Perception +23)
@Kyra: If you took the Aim action, shouldn't you have added +1d4 to the attack roll? I am only nudging, because you have missed by two, so with the +1d4 you have a 75% chance of hitting (since the GM kindly established that its EAC is 26).
Male Stellifera Priest Operative 11 (SP 77/77) (HP 90/90) (EAC 22, KAC 25) (Fort +4, Ref +13, Will +12) (Init +15) (Perception +23)
@Skorpahlich: Statistically, we are only going to get one more round after this, so since we don't have the PP for Hurl, you might as well charge in and swing with the melee weapon.
Male Stellifera Priest Operative 11 (SP 77/77) (HP 90/90) (EAC 22, KAC 25) (Fort +4, Ref +13, Will +12) (Init +15) (Perception +23)
As his mech starts to lose power, whilst the opposing one shows no hint of slowing down, Deep Blue's skin changes to an unheathy green colour. This is far from ideal... Laser Rifle: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (7) + 17 = 24, for 5d6 + 8 ⇒ (4, 1, 2, 3, 4) + 8 = 22 damage.
Male Stellifera Priest Operative 11 (SP 77/77) (HP 90/90) (EAC 22, KAC 25) (Fort +4, Ref +13, Will +12) (Init +15) (Perception +23)
Damn it! This thing is strong! Laser Rifle: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (8) + 17 = 25, for 5d6 + 8 ⇒ (6, 5, 3, 4, 6) + 8 = 32 damage. Somewhat flustered by the other mech's damage output, Deep Blue's shot is not as accurate as before.

@Kyra/Skorpahlich: If you are going to attack, I would encourage you to use 1 PP each round to activate 'Accurate Strikes', so that you can use your level as your ranks in piloting when making attacks.

Fort: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25. Ignoring the EMP cannon, Deep Blue returns fire! Laser Rifle: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (17) + 17 = 34, for 5d6 + 8 ⇒ (5, 6, 2, 1, 5) + 8 = 27 damage. If Skorpahlich does not use them for something else, I will also choose to use 2 PP to Replenish our shields.

"Well, all technology is built upon discoveries that happened before them. I am a little curious who the 'third party' was, though..." After poking around in the room to the west... Perception: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (1) + 19 = 20. ...Deep Blue moves over to the final set of doors, and opens them.

Deep Blue waggles a tentacle apologetically. I could give her last rites, but I suspect that is not what you had in mind. He then gently feeds Kyra one of her serums. Serum of Healing: 1d8 ⇒ 2. Well, at least it gets her conscious!

Tentacles writhing in concern as Kyra falls, Deep Blue tries to line-up a shot on the final robot. Trick Attack - 33. Flat-Footed for 1 round. Underwater Living Holy Static Arc Pistol: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18, for 1d6 + 4 + 4d8 ⇒ (2) + 4 + (2, 2, 7, 2) = 19 Electricity damage. However, I keep rolling trash :-/

Deep Blue flies over so that he is above and behind Swizzers, then fires upon the remaining robot. Trick Attack - 33. Flat-Footed for 1 round. Underwater Living Holy Static Arc Pistol: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16, for 1d6 + 4 + 4d8 ⇒ (2) + 4 + (7, 1, 3, 2) = 19 Electricity damage.

Maybe? I am also guessing that it is meant to Swizzers highlighted at the bottom of round six, rather than Skorpahlich. Deep Blue Flies forward for better line of sight on the final target. Double move, since I assume boxes block line of sight, even if airborne.

Turning a shade of yellow-green flecked with red, Deep Blue lines up another shot on Black, hoping to finish it off. Trick Attack - 33. Flat-Footed for 1 round. Underwater Living Holy Static Arc Pistol: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27, for 1d6 + 4 + 4d8 ⇒ (2) + 4 + (6, 2, 3, 8) = 25 Electricity damage.
