"What the hells is this? Lumen" Darrid casts light on Titania's shield as she steps into the room, then draws his blade and tries to find the enemies within.

Darrid, seeing Dale flip the bed over to reveal a kobold, runs up sword drawn and takes a mighty swing at the little bastard.

Isn't 1/2 damage always rounded down? so the damage would be 2?

Darrid winces as he sees the large pieces of debris strike Titania. "That is going to leave a mark."
Darrid cautiously enters the room, looking up to make sure that there is no more debris ready to fall upon him.

Darrid does a cursory search of the room and reaches down into one of the corners and comes up with a mushroom, then displaying it for the others to see. "Looks like we are in the right place, now we need to find a few more."

"It looks as though the dwarves that were here were not exactly worshipers of Torag. That symbol is for Droskar, not a very nice guy."
Darrid heads back into the hallway. "I am thinking that we should take a look at what is behind the door on the other side of this hallway." (Door directly south of the one we just came out of)

Darrid utters the word "Lumen" as he touches Titania's shield, illuminating it and the room in front of them.
He wanders over to the remains of the dwarf, carefully picking up the parchment before looking at it and then at his companions. "Anyone able to read this, lingusitics was never easy for me."

Darrid goes through the set of double doors, his greatsword held out in front of him. "Be wary folks, who knows what dangers lurk within these walls. Wild beasts and magical creatures seem to thrive in these woods and this seems like a good place for them to reside."

Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

"I think we should keep all the ingredients together. No offense meant to you Hannathan but in your weakened state I can't trust you with things this important. The last thing we need is to get back to town and find out that we need to go collect more resources."

Darrid checks out the body by the well, "Well it looks like this guy has been dead for quite some time, seems a large animal got to him judging from the bite marks I can see."

Darrid backs away from Hannathan after seeing him cough up some disgusting fluid. "It is the taint. Hannathan, I suggest you head back to town while you still have the strength to do it. We will get the ingredients and return as soon as we can. Be strong my friend."

Darrid inspects the area and secures the door before finally relaxing enough to enjoy some of the meat that Grung has cooked up. "Well it is a little tough but it will do just fine Grung. I just hope that the smell has not attracted any other predators."
Afterwards Darrid finds a comfortable enough spot and tries to settle in for the night. "I am going to get some shut-eye now but wake me when it is time for my watch."

The next morning Darrid emerges from the tower and surveys the scene in front of him. "Let's head for the double doors there, and be on the lookout for the mushrooms, we need to get them and then get the hell out."

"Security first, then food." growls at the others as Dale and Grung are chowing down. "Dale, head up those stairs and confirm that there is no other way to get in or out of the tower, if we are going to bed down here I want to make sure we are safe." As he finishes his orders, Darrid stomps his foot down upon a few little spiders. "And lets clear away some of these bloody webs."

Are there stairs up to the area above or some way to get up there?

Darrid, with sword drawn, slowly makes his way into the room and waits to strike should anything get close enough.

"Lumen" Darrid utters as he touches Titania's shield and light emanates from it. "Shall we proceed? Hopefully there is nothing else to hamper our progress." Darrid proceeds beside Titania, his greatsword at the ready.

KenderKin: How dark is it now? Do we need to have to use a light source to see properly or is there enough light out still to see clearly?

"I think we should probably camp for the night before we make it into the old fort. Unless the rest of you really want to try and wander through in the dark."

"We aren't going to leave you behind Grung, not after everything you have done for us." Darrid examines the damage to Grung's legs and tries to repair some of the damage caused by the spikes.
Heal: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

Darrid draws his blade, expecting an ambush to be sprung upon him and his companions. "Be wary by friends, whoever made this pit may be around and waitig for the trap to be sprung."
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Assuming Darrid sees nothing proceeds to the following.

Darrid goes up to the edge of the pit, "Grung, you should really be more careful, let me help you with those wounds."

Holy crap! I made both of them! Maybe the roller doesn't hate me all the time!

Darrid's blade digs deeply into the beast and it falls from the tree, a strange greenish mist emitting from it as it dies. Darrid manages to hold his breath and run out of the immediate area as the gas slowly dissipates.

At the last minute Darrid sees the beast slithering out of the tree and tries desperately to get out of the way as he feels the tail slowly wrapping around him.
CMB to escape grapple: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18. Hopefully that is enough!

Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
As part of my War(Tactics) domain I grant one person the ability to roll initiative twice and take the best one, the default as I have mentioned before is Titania so she can roll again. If at some point I choose to have someone else be the target I will let you know.

"What was that about a wyvern?" Darrid says groggily, obviously just having woken. "Good thing it wasn't hungry, hopefully it had it's fill of some other creature and will continue to leave us alone."
Darrid spends some time in meditation and then performing some martial maneuvers finishing with some prayers to Gorum. He packs up his gear and loads up his pack. "Wouldn't the tree be closer to get to Grung? Perhaps we should make our way there and then proceed north to the old fort. Dale, if you have no desire to head into a plague-ridden town you are free to join us in collecting the required ingredients. There may even be some monetary rewards for your assistance."

Darrid relaxes a little bit. "I was kind of hoping for a more interesting story that but the world holds all types, even boring ones. If you are looking for Falcon's Hollow head south until you find a lumber camp and then the road goes into town. I would however recommend you take extra precautions to avoid the blackscour, at least until we get back there."

Darrid sees the newcomer and stands tall to make his figure even more imposing to the smaller man. "How does one come to this area and not make it in to Falcon's Hollow? Unless you are running from something or someone and are trying to avoid being seen? What did you do? Take something that wasn't yours? Fool around with someone's daughter? Maybe you slid that fancy little blade between someone's ribs?"

With the drunkards out of the picture, I believe we are trying to find a suitable location to hunker down for the evening.

"Looks like we are all running a bit dry of drink. So not much luck with the hunting then today? I hope tomorrow holds better fortune for you."
My assumption is that Grung is still keeping out of sight so not as to have some hate dumped upon him.

Darrid steps out of the trees and calls out to them. "Good day to you gentlemen, what brings you out this way."

"Unless anyone else has any contrary ideas I suggest we head toward the tree but be on the lookout for a good spot to hunker down for the night. Grung, we won't be burning the hut down, with the town already suffering through a bit of sickness the last thing they need is a forest fire to add to it."

Darrid works on healing himself up by calling forth the power of Gorum through his holy symbol bathing the group in healing energy.

We can cut out the tactics discussion. I am well aware of the of the movement possibilities of both Darrid and the Cauldron. However that hit took 70% of my hit points and I am proving to be extremely ineffective against this bucket of metal so I am going to try and get my way out, hopefully not getting killed in the process.
Lets keep talk like this out of the game thread and put it where it should be in the OOC thread.

Edit: Hanathan: I can't 5ft and then move. If I 5ft that is all my movement for the round. Withdrawal is also a full round action.

Edit#2: By moving away from the cauldron I am hoping the mindless bucket will then target the closest target which has been hitting it on a fairly regular basis. Sorry Titania but pulling aggro is your job!

I assume that breaks the grapple.

Darrid manages to limp his way out of the mouth of the cauldron, taking a step back from it towards the door.
"If we have got what we came for then lets get the hell out of here."

"Oh hells! I need some room to maneuver, I can't get a good swing in." Darrid yells as he is unable to connect with the cauldron again.

Darrid again winds up for a vicious blow only to hit one of the shelves on the backswing.
Greatsword Attack (Flank): 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 2 = 9, Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (2, 1) + 4 = 7

How about them dice rolls! Only 1 attack roll above 10 and my average dmg roll on 2d6 has been 3.5!
I am very happy that the cauldron seems to be having the same issues. Maybe it is a bit rusty. :)

Darrid rears back and attempts to split the cauldron in half only to get his sword tangled in the junk hanging from the ceiling.

Darrid deftly dodges out of the way of the cauldron's attack as the cauldron then flips over in front of him. He then moves around the cauldron so that it is between he and Titania.
