Stepping on the rug, to move to the tables, Darius feels a slight depression and quickly jumps off the rug, as the rug plummets 30 feet down a chute.

Spread opon on one of the tables is a simple map of the Greenfield area showing the villages the cult attacked and looted. An arrow is sketched in from the Greenfields toward the west and the town of Beregost on the Trade Way, where the arrow turns north. A separate sheet of paper that is covered with numerals in colums contains the note, "Everything must be freighted north to Naerytar. Rezmir allowed us to keep some pearls, a ring, and a handful of small stones." Other papers are of less interest most of them have bad poetry about dragons.

Technically no you don't have to be part of adventure league to play though if you want to use this character at conventions you need the DCI number. I can get one for you if you need it.

Will review farther this weekend.

please be aware I am at ground zero for snowmaggedon 2.0 so if I miss a couple days it is because I am sans power.

Hello all,

As WotC as said all material is legal for play everywhere I have decided to run some stuff on the boards. I may have to skip around a bit but I would like to start off running the current season's opener adventure. 3-01 Harried in Hillsfar.

All DnDAL legal stuff is open for play and you must have a passing familiarity of the rules.

Characters will be created using the Adventure League rules. Ideally I would like to start next monday.

I am waiting for the others to chime in with a post before advancing the scene. Thank you three, for your prompt posting. For this I am going to be awarding you with an additional edge to use, once during this adventure. Also see my note in the discussion thread about border crossing.

I am half tempted to put the four of you that have Suzuki Mirages all in the same group.

Then again there is the dynamic of the Vory and the former cop.

Information gathered.
• This is a camp of the Cult of the Dragon —praise Tiamat’s glory! (Some cultists extend their right hand with fingers outstretched to represent the five heads of Tiamat when they praise her glory. Others curl back two fingers, to show that Tiamat’s strength is hidden. This is not mandatory, but adepts and hard - core cultists look favorably on those who do it sincerely.)
• Not everyone here is a full-fledged member of the cult. Many are new initiates working toward full acceptance, and many others are simple mercenaries, hired to flesh out the camp’s strength during raids or if it should come under attack.
• The kobolds are here because their worshipful attitude toward dragons makes them easy for Rezmir and other high - ranking cultists to manipulate, but they are not well liked or trusted by the other races.
• Hunters who bring in antelope and other large game from the grasslands feed the camp. The cultists and their allies eat most of it, but some is stored in the cave to feed the hatchlings.
• The cult has een ranging far and wide on small raids to collect treasure. Greenest was the closest target to the camp, the biggest of all the towns they’ve attacked, and the most profitable—praise Tiamat’s glory!
• Prisoners are used for manual labor. In the past, a few have “converted” and be come loyal members of the cult, but most die eventually of over work and under nourishment. Then they are fed to the drakes or taken in to the cave to feed the hatchlings.
• The cave at the back of the camp (Area 4) is off - limits to all but those who’ve been cleared by Mondath and Rezmir, which includes a handful of guards and kobolds. It’s known a round campas “the nursery,” and it’s an open secret that Rezmir plans to hatch a clutch of dragon eggs there.
• The half-black dragon Rezmir came to the area a few months ago, and she set up the camp. Mondath handles everyday operations.
• The half-blue dragon Cyanwrath is Mondath’s right hand and is seldom far from her side. He has a rigid sense of honor, but you don’t want to make him angry.
• The mother of dragons — praise Tiamat’s glory — shall return, and when that day comes, all the nations of the world shall tremble before her majesty!
• The monk is of special interest to Rezmir. Why else would she keep the creature alive that way? What Rezmir hopes to learn from him is anyone’s guess, but you wouldn’t want to be in that half-elf’s skin — or what’s left of it—when the question in ggets serious.
•The plunder from nearby settlements is stored in thecave. No one but Rezmir knows how much is therealtogether, but it must be a big pile by now .

...more to come later.

Advancing in, Doors stand closed to the north and south, with a crumbling mound of rubble partially obscuring the sourthern hall. To the east, a broad corridor ends in two more doors leading south and east. The corridor is cluttered with dusty rubble and fallen plaster from a partial collapse of the ceiling overhead.

The serenity is broken by barks and yips heard earlier in the cave, then the moment of epiphany hits you. There are goblins warning others.

The barracks contains four roughly built wooden bunks, with heaped-up blankets and dirty dishes scattered about. A strong smell of unwashed bodies and rotten meat fills the air. Three tall, furry humanoids are lounging among the mess, barking orders at a sad little goblin that demeans itself for their amusement. Your sudden appearance causes the goblin to faint.

Are you wearing the cloaks, is Iarno with you?

Surprisingly, by the look on his face, he lands as soft as a mouse, warhammer at the ready to defend the rest of the party.

The title pretty much says it all. I am recruiting between 4 to 6 characters to undertake a cooperative conversion of the classic game Baldur's Gate. I will be doing a lot of the work but I do ask for some aid from player characters.

I have beaten the game once about 14 years ago and am replaying now. So that I can reacquaint myself with the story. All who are accepted into the game will be Bhaalspawn and will receive the added benefit of that in addition to their race.

An additional background will be awarded that will be entitled: Gorion's Ward.

I have only the bare bones of concept but you will have been a Ward of Gorion for 20 years.

All races, classes, backgrounds and alignments are open. I will form a party that has the best chance of working together and to generate subplots from.

Attributes will be generated with the 27 point buy method (with the exception that points may be dropped to as low as 6 on a 1 for 1 basis) or take the standard 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8. This is done out of the interest for fairness.

One difference from the game is that I will allow more than 5 NPC's to accompany you but I will adjust encounters to be an appropriate challenge.

I am looking for barebones crunch at the moment (List class, background, race, alignment) and at least a paragraph of background story.

Will GMs be given the scenarios / modules they sign-up for in advance of the gameday?

Yes. I will submit the information to Mike Brock so he can support the PbP GMs and make sure any scenarios / modules will be added to their respective Paizo.com accounts.

Will there be prize support for this gameday?

I am happy to announce that there will be boons and prizes for this gameday! I will work with Mike to make sure this avenue of play gets the same level of support as your real world counterparts.

So please make sure we get GMs to sign up! Thanks everyone!

I already have the two scenarios I would like to run. Any chance if getting paizo store credit instead? Pretty please? With a cherry on top.

Venture-Captain Amara Li is waiting in a well-maintained private garden behind a house on a quiet street in Ramparassad, the capital city of Dtang Ma, a nation in eastern Tian Xia. She speaks once everyone has arrived and has had an opportunity to enjoy tea. “When first I arrived in Absalom two years ago, I had a simple but nuanced mission: to increase communication and sharing of resources between the Pathfinder Society and its counterpart in Tian Xia by establishing the Lantern Lodge’s position on the other side of the world.” She pauses briefly to sip her tea, before adding, “More than a year ago we successfully purchased and restored the house known as Hinojai, which was once a base for the Way of the Kirin. When we acquired Hinojai, it was as much a gambit to attract the attention of the remaining agents of the Way of the Kirin as it was an opportune acquisition of real estate. And indeed, a man claiming to be an agent of the Way recently contacted me by leaving me a message here.”

“Although the Way of the Kirin fell into ruin with the fall of Lung Wa a century ago, its far-reaching resources remain valuable, and it still commands great respect. If the Pathfinder Society could ally itself with the Way, the relationship would be of immense benefit to both organizations. Amara’s voice reveals her satisfactions she says, “Pathfinders, we are on the cusp of just such an alliance. In a day’s time, we shall meet with this representative from the Way of the Kirin, and you are to act as security for me and ensure that the meeting is a success. I do not expect any trouble from the Way, but after all of the betrayals and double-crosses that the Society has experienced over the past few years, I worry that this is an elaborate setup by the Aspis Consortium. I have arranged for us all to be transported to the site early tomorrow morning, so take care of any errands you have in Ramparassad this afternoon. There are no settlements near our destination, and we will be spending the night there. I expect you understand the need to be fully prepared.”

Amara Li stares into the dregs of her tea as though she were attempting to discern some lost thoughts in the green leaves floating at the cups bottom, then looks up. “Ah yes—before the negotiations begin in earnest, I will host a formal tea ceremony to set the tone. I encourage you to participate, though doing so is not required. I would, however, expect you to dress appropriately for the event.” With that she stands and waits to accept any questions.

Sounds like you need a level 10 paladin. But why not have a level 11 on show up with the town guard. When the poop hits the fan the pally can give smite evil to all his allies, read town guard, and the brawl will ensue. That should be a fairly challenging encounter.
