As the group takes ten minutes to rest, Cranston summons Lucille over and begins a cursory inspection.

"Damn, girl, you gotta be more careful," he says as he pulls out a shorted tangle of wires.

He also takes the time to reload her ammo supply.

"Ya done good though. We might have to find something bigger to strap on here."

Questioning beeps follow.

"No you're not getting a rocket launcher. That's all I need."

Cranston moves around the other side of the crates to get a better shot at one of the demons.

Lucille maintains her position and fires again from her nearly empty clip.

As the three motes of darkness emanate out from the artifact, Cranston mutters, "Oh that is so not good."

Hoping against hope that eliminating the Drow mystic will alleviate the threat, he has Lucille fire at the woman again.

As Cranston slowly moves to join the rest of the group, Lucille zeros in on the Drow mystic.

Isn't it nice how in most modern RPGs that include firearms, misses are just assumed to miss everying, rather than accidentally hitting something dangerous like a big black glowing McGuffin? :)

Continuing to control Lucille directly, Cranston moves her through the doorway and into the room.

"Let's try it the quiet way, first," Cranston concludes as Lucille drifts forward toward the console.

His head tips to the side and his eyes glaze over as he takes complete control of the drone. Lucille moves in slowly and begins removing pieces of the panel.

"We could blow it, or I could try to defuse it." Cranston offers.

As Cranston moves towards the warehouse area, Lucille moves closer to the southern door.

Moving above those filling the hallway, Lucille glides forward smoothly. She shifts to the side and then, with another loud retort, fires her pistol at the remaining dark-skinned elf.

"On it, Ma'am" the engineer says as he moves towards the other door.

Cranston smiles in satisfaction as the door opens with just a moment of work.

Cranston passes along to the others' comm units a screen grab of the map.

He then calls Lucille back to join the others and then continue down the hall.

Cranston directs Lucille to take a closer look at the body to see if he can determine the cause of death.

Medicine is untrained so just looking for anything obvious.

Once that's done, he'll have her move the body to take a closer look at the terminal itself.

Cranston squints just a bit as he tries to see more details in the scattered components.

Not seeing anything of note, he instructs Lucille to continue on.

"Go ahead and open that up, girl."

"I don't fancy crawling there myself, so yeah ... " Cranston says with a chuckle.

"Girl, Head on down that hole if you would, please."

Lucille turns about and once the cabinet is opened lowers down and begins heading down the small tunnel.

At a word from Cranston, Lucille comes hovering over. He turns on his flashlight and sets it on the drone.

"Go see what's down there," he says.

In response to the drone's questioning whistle, he says "Yes, this is still considered a hot zone."

The drone beeps excitedly and the slide on its pistol chambers another round. It then begins bobbing down the darkened hall.

"You're gonna think it's fun until something shoots you back."

once the ten minutes have passed

"Well, if we're ready to move through this door now," Cranston says as he moves stiffly towards it, "I'll just get my key."

He then pulls out a micro-cutting torch and begins bypassing the hasty welds.

Cranston makes his way over to one of the nearby crates. Leaning against it, he wipes his forehead.

"I'm gettin' too old for this shit," he says under his breath.

"Damn! Not fast enough," the engineer mutters to himself.

"Someone try to dump over one of those water barrels!" he shouts as he fires his arc pistol.

Is there a lot of water still gathered on the floor? If so ...

Cranston looks around at the pooled water.

"That thing's not on friendly terms with electricity. If we bleed a power feed into the water then no matter what part of the floor it pops through ... "

He begins scanning around for an available power feed that he can tap into.

Cranston looks at the debris spilling out from the eastern door.

"So south it is, then," he says moving to the southern door.

Looking over the hasty welds, he assesses the work and how much effort it will take to bypass it.

I'm assuming that there's some sort of cutting device in the mechanic's custom rig.

Hoping the creature's attention stays on Ranif, Cranston again takes careful aim with his arc pistol.

Not one to let her inability to damage the creature be a damper on her enthusiasm, Lucille fires off another round.

"Someone get the ident number of that truck," Cranston mutters to himself as he shakes his head hoping the stars he's seeing go away.

"Understood Ma'am, no dying without permission; Got it," he manages after a moment.

He takes better aim and again attempts to fire at the creature.

"Lucille! A little help, please," he shouts out.

Excited beeps and blurps follow along with the retort of her semi-auto pistol.

"Son of a ... " Cranston mutters as the creature bursts forth right in front of him.

Instinctively, he aims and fires his arc pistol.

Not surprisingly, the shot goes wide and scorches a spot on the wall.

Cranston pockets the charged battery and the two shock grenades and then moves to look closer at the holes in the metal cladding.

"What in Desna's name happened here," he says, examining the edges of the damage.

"So whoever built this place can see in the dark," Cranston says as he notices the missing lights.

After Lucille looks over the doors, Cranston says, "Someone welded both sets of doors closed."

"However, that door," he indicates the eastern one, "has been cut open; That's probably the way to go."

He moves to check the body of the drow to his left.

"Head on in, Girl," Cranston says, giving directions to his drone. He moves forward himself.

"Check the other doors."

As Ranif indicates the entry mechanism, Mills looks it over a little closer.

"Damn Drow," he says. "Lucille, we're in hostile mode."

The drone beeps a few times in excitement as the slide on its auto-pistol chambers a round.

"You just remember to check your targets," the engineer replies.

"Someone definitely wanted to keep this place hid," Mills says as he bounces a little on his feet. "That's why they've got the gravity generator running on minimal."

"Well, while you folks try to see under the skirt, Lucille and I will see about fixing the issues with life support."

Mills gets up from the engineering console.

"Girl, head over to the internal pressure balancers; I'll meet you there."

The older man heads off towards the back of the ship.

"I swear, if my ears pop just one more time ... "

I've been reading through it as well. Some of the themes are ... interesting.

Definitely lots of character ideas there.

"If'n so, now would probably be the time to give them the option."

"Wow! I think you might have hit ammo storage." Cranston says as his indicators flash for a moment.

Fairly confident that the enemy ship is still dangerous, he quickly shifts back to keeping power to the shields.

"About damn time," Cranston mutters under his breath as he again diverts power to the forward shields.
