LOVE the Traveler game! I've actually still got the rulebook on my bookcase, I think - though I'm currently at work. I've actually got this character already made from a game that dissolved several months back. Let me take a look and see what adjustments I'll need to make. Feel free to peek at my stats and give me some advice on what needs to change as well. Thanks, GM!
**EDIT** After taking a look at the creation rules and the background, I'll be adjusting this character quite a bit, no worries there but it will likely take a bit to do. I've been pbp gaming for about 25 years now, on various boards. I sometimes get busy in RL (especially during tax season) but I always strive to let folks know I'm going to be slow and to be me when needed. Outside of those four months of tax season, I tend to check the boards compulsively, so I'll post more than once a day if there's call for it.
Strength: 6 + 1d6 ⇒ 6 + (4) = 10
Dexterity: 6 + 1d6 ⇒ 6 + (6) = 12
Endurance: 6 + 1d6 ⇒ 6 + (3) = 9
Intelligence: 8 + 1d4 ⇒ 8 + (4) = 12
Education: 6 + 1d6 ⇒ 6 + (4) = 10
Social Standing: 4 + 1d4 ⇒ 4 + (3) = 7
So AC9CA7 would be my stats, I think. Let me take a look at the rest of the skills...

Take care of yourself and your family first my friend, we'll be here whenever you're ready to take up the reins again. Hope you feel better soon!

Cor shouts out to the mob. "Head to the spaceport, the path should be clear, as we've just come from there. Set up camp around the ship called The Skander! You won't be allowed inside unless there is a dire emergency, but you'll be protected there!"
He turns to Rynar as he shouts at the crowd in a demeaning tone and revs the engines. "Stand down, crewman! These folks are panicked enough, lets not give them cause to fear us!" If Rynar makes a move for his gun, he'll grab his arm firmly to keep it in place.
Cor then uses the comms to advise the ship of incoming civilians that will be camping outside, ordering them to protect them as much as possible but not to allow them in at this point. If circumstances change, the ship is to contact him immediately for orders.
That's the best I've got for now. Let's continue onward.

Cor keeps a sharp eye out for an attack coming from another direction. These apparently unarmed people could be a distraction, or even concealing firearms to use when an ambush is sprung. He nods as Zaeta speaks to them, but advises curtly to everyone over the comms. "Stay alert. This could be an ambush."
Yep, let's talk with them but stay alert to danger - particularly if there are any nearby places of concealment.

Moving into a new place, I'll be back online after this weekend, but then taking a short vacation. My posting will be spotty until Monday, 6/12. Going to try and post once or twice during that time, but if I go radio silent you'll know why - so feel free to bot me. Thanks folks!

Cor grins at the Ensign. "Your presence is welcome." He turns to Captain Jorsein and nods. "This is your show, Captain. We'll support you and your plan."
He glances at Zaeta and sees that she has adopted a protective stance with the Ensign and gives her a nod, then gives Crastor a look when he arrives, nodding toward the young officer as he mouths 'keep her alive' so he can't be seen doing so.
Sounds good, let's do this! A couple questions GM, how many vehicles and armed security personnel can we bring without leaving our ship undefended in case of emergency?

His knee-jerk reaction that flashes through his brain is a solid NO. This isn't their war, after all. But besides having an innate desire to assist a fellow soldier fighting to protect his home, Cor thinks back to Sundstrom's briefing. He had made the point of letting the senior officers know that making friends with the local government here on Bularia was of paramount importance. Further, concerns about the ties of friendship between this world and the Imperium could perhaps be undermined to some extent, given the current situation. The Imperials, after all, had declared a 'hands off' approach to the crisis - even threatening those that might lend assistance by shooting down any ship that launched. Perhaps the Sword Worlds would be remembered for coming to the aid of the local government. Starting right here. Maybe this was a mistake, but if it was, he would accept the responsibility on his own shoulders.
All of these thoughts went through Cor's mind as he grinned at Jorsein. "You've got it. Give me five minutes to get to the armory and get armed and armored up. We'll have you with all the vehicles we can spare as well as some personnel to help in the fight."
Getting suited up, Cor also uses his comms to call into the bridge to see if Sundstrom had called in for assistance. Lastly, he sends orders for the command team, as well as any available security forces not currently detailed to protect the ship, to meet him in the cargo bay.
OK then, after looking back at the briefing we got, I do think that maybe we get involved here after all. If I'm wrong, Cor will take the blame upon himself for making a bad decision. But he does want to first make sure whether Sundstrom has been in communication with the ship at all, and if there are any orders in place that he won't be violating. We'll take as many vehicles as the ship can spare, leaving at least one in case of emergency, as well as any security personnel that can be spared without jeopardizing the safety of the Skander. Other than that, grabbing my armor and weapons.

Cor responds. "Captain Jorsein, this is First Officer Corellon Anders confirming that we will take the wounded on board as requested. Good luck."
Glancing at the others, he nods in response to Zaeta, but glances at Freyjason. "I don't believe your warning was needed, nor that we have the authority to declare war. You'd best hope that your transmission doesn't have serious repercussions. For now, let's move and get the wounded aboard Skander." With a quick hand signal, he motions for a retreat back to the ship, covering the civilian vehicles as best they can while on foot.
Yep, let's head back to the ship as quickly as we can. This isn't our war, and Captain Jorsein himself fairly well summed that up.

'Lance Sergeant/Scout' Corellon "Cor" Anders - 6C97A6 | Second Officer/Astrogation | Gram (Spinward Marches 1223) | Profile Link
Cor calls in a warning to the ship over the comm, including Rynar in the transmission. "Attention Skander, you have incoming. In addition to Rynar's vehicle, we just witnessed a convoy of civilian ships headed your way, intentions unknown. A detachment of Mounted Constabulary charged the rebel cordon and got them through, but I can't say whether they're friendlies or not. We are going to see about maybe backing up the Mounties, who appear to be holding back the rebels from pursuing. Approach convoy with extreme caution and guard the ship against incursion in case they are hostile. Report to me as soon as you have better intel on the convoy's intentions."
He glances at the others, grinning at Crastor. "Let's hold here and assess the situation. Skander is going to let us know what the convoy is about. If the Mounties are on our side and we need to push the rebels back to rescue another group of civilians, we'll do that. If the battle goes against the Mounties before we have the chance to find out, we might intervene to save lives. In the meantime, let's find some cover and watch. And try not to get shot again, Crastor."
I think we need more intel. Let's find cover and see what happens over the next few minutes. We'll never catch up with those cars, so warning the Skander about their approach will have to do for the moment. Once we learn more, or if The Mounties start getting in a bad way, we can decide whether to jump in and back them up. GM, the Mounties are the local government soldiers, correct? So far as we know?
'Lance Sergeant/Scout' Corellon "Cor" Anders - 6C97A6 | Second Officer/Astrogation | Gram (Spinward Marches 1223) | Profile Link
Can we tell if the cars are headed specifically for the Skander? Or just into the spaceport at large? Can we get a glimpse of anyone in those cars? Do they look like civilians?
'Lance Sergeant/Scout' Corellon "Cor" Anders - 6C97A6 | Second Officer/Astrogation | Gram (Spinward Marches 1223) | Profile Link
Cor nods in agreement. "Could be some friendlies need help, and we've got the civilians headed to safety. Let's go. Crastor, you in front. Frey and Zaeta take the flanks. I'll take rear guard. Lady Estrella, will you and Lt. Imbaria watch our flanks as well?"
I suggest the following marching order:
........................Crastor...................
.......Zaeta..............................Frey
..Lady Estrella...................Lt. Imbaria
..........................Cor...................

Cor shakes his head as the brash crewman puts a hole through the fence. "Well, if the rebels didn't know where we're at, they sure as hell know now. Let's move fast." He leads the others, along with the civilians, across the distance as fast as they can go, his carbine held at the ready as he exchanges words briefly with Rynar and keeps a watchful eye out. When the armored vehicle rolls out, Cor motions the others onward toward the ship. "Let's go! Run as fast as you dare, but don't lose your damn footing. A twisted ankle would slow us down to a crawl! Crastor, you take point! I'll take rear guard! Frey and Zaeta, keep this mob together and keep an eye out as best you can to watch our flanks!"
Standing guard as the civilians get loaded up as much as possible, getting the slowest ones into the vehicle first. The rest of us will follow in their wake on foot (jogging along as fast as we dare), and hopefully Rynar will get to the ship and back out to pick the rest of us up before the rebels get here. I think it's only a half mile or so, correct?

I'm going to wait a bit to make another post until the GM confirms in a game post that the fence is actually breached. Going back, I think the only one that has mentioned the breach is Rynar, correct? At the moment, in terms of the 'official GM posts' in the adventure, I think that our team and the civilians are currently on the 'wrong' side of the fence and Rynar is speeding toward it, intending to ram his way through.

That would account for the seating area I presume, but how about the cargo area? Looks like it holds 1 ton of cargo? I'm presuming that area is nearly empty? If a total of 10 is the maximum limit for the SUV, let's get those who are having the most difficulty keeping up get in there.
The rest of us will follow on foot. Once those nine are dropped off, Rynar can double back along his route and meet us. If we run into trouble, we've got the comms to give him a heads up - and vice versa.

Cor allows a small grin to erupt on his face. "We had to make it up as we went, surely you of all people can appreciate that. Besides, how much more warning did you need, I sent the plan over the comms more than an hour ago. Only the point of extraction changed at the last minute once we could survey the area. Seems that the rebels might be pinned down a short distance away, but that doesn't mean they won't be here soon after your little stunt. Ever hear of bolt cutters? What, they don't have any aboard the Skander?"
He makes certain all the civilians are aboard (or as many as will fit) before deciding how he and the others will return to the ship. As the civilians board the vehicle, he keeps a watchful eye in the direction of the main gate, his carbine held at the ready.

Cor gives Rynar a steady look. "That would have been me, crewman. See about getting as many of these civilians aboard as we can. Quickly."
How many can we get on board? The lot of them? Ourselves included?
'Lance Sergeant/Scout' Corellon "Cor" Anders - 6C97A6 | Second Officer/Astrogation | Gram (Spinward Marches 1223) | Profile Link
Cor nods when he hears the incoming transmission. "We'll load up the civilians first. If we can't fit everyone into the vehicle, the rest of us will follow on foot when the fence is breached." He tells the others. He doesn't trust that the rebels won't hear them when the truck plows through the fence, and the idea of making multiple trips seems unlikely. Still, even if those on foot can cover half the distance in the time Rynar can get back with the vehicle, it'll be less ground to cover.
I'm actually not sure of the size of our party... how many civilians do we have, GM? And how big is this vehicle Rynar is bringing in?

'Lance Sergeant/Scout' Corellon "Cor" Anders - 6C97A6 | Second Officer/Astrogation | Gram (Spinward Marches 1223) | Profile Link
Cor shakes his head. "We'll never get these folks over the fence, and unless someone has some bolt cutters handy, I think we'll have to head to the main gate. Fortunately, I've alerted the ship that we're headed that way and we should get a friendly welcoming committee, complete with armored cars to get us to safety." I hope... He thinks as he calls the ship to tell them they are approaching the main gate. Cor calls for all the armored ground cars they have to meet them there, then has another thought and suggests an alternative...
Getting these civilians over the fence seems unlikely, and I can't think of a way through with the gear we have. Frey, I'm not sure what you're asking for. I don't think the ship can fire at the rebels from the ground, and what exactly are their targets if they could? We don't want to start a war, or even get the Sword Confederation involved in a major incident with the Imperium, after all. That'd definitely go against what Sundstrom advised us to avoid - at least that's Cor's opinion.
Anyway, original plan was to have some heavy vehicles (I guess we've got no vehicles armed with weapons, but armored is good enough) to head to the main gate along with enough security forces to cover us as we get the civilians to safety. But Cor will ask for the vehicles to meet us at the fence line, if they can bring bolt cutters or other equipment to get us through. Then we won't need to provoke any rebels that might be at the front gate. Is that possible?
'Lance Sergeant/Scout' Corellon "Cor" Anders - 6C97A6 | Second Officer/Astrogation | Gram (Spinward Marches 1223) | Profile Link
Cor grips the carbine as he watches Zaeta interact with the civilians. He clamps down on a smile as he imagines their very fine clothes getting all muddy and torn as they crawl through the culvert - but it's likely the only way to get them through this in one piece, so it's a sacrifice they'll have to make. When the officer nods her readiness, he returns her nod and gives her a small smile that perhaps reflects what he'd been thinking and then turns to lead the way...
Yep, let's ditch the vehicles and go on foot from here.

Cor calls out on the comms for the other vehicles to stop as he assesses the situation...
So we're a half mile out from the cordon site, correct? Where the plan is to have our armored cars meet us at the entrance to the landing facility and cause a distraction to let us slip through either by force or stealth. Does it appear that if we leave the vehicles behind, we can slip past this barrier on foot by going wide around? Does it appear as though they've seen us?
'Lance Sergeant/Scout' Corellon "Cor" Anders - 6C97A6 | Second Officer/Astrogation | Gram (Spinward Marches 1223) | Profile Link
Figuring that he's the one responsible, Cor takes the lead car - after loading up as many civilians as he can get into it. The carbine is propped up on the seat next to him as he drives, and his comm is open to the Skander's frequency so he can call in immediately when they are getting close to the starport. When they do, he will call for all available security currently on duty to man the armored cars, armed with the heaviest weapons available and with body armor. He goes over the instructions to engage the rebels at the cordon, but not to over-commit. The intention is to cause a distraction so that he and the others can get past as quickly as possible, and then the armored vehicles will act as a rear guard for their caravan as they race toward the Skander.
Let's do this!

Cor grins at Zaeta. "Well, I've been a few skirmishes while in the Army, so if it's a fight we're in for, then that's what we'll do. But if we can find a way to sneak in the civilians rather than risk them in a fight, we'll take that option instead. Things should be more clear once we get there, so the plan might have to change depending on the situation we encounter."
When Frey speaks, he shakes his head in the negative. "Lady Estrella confirmed that the Imperial Captain is enforcing a no-fly zone - or at least nothing beyond grav cars. I won't risk any of Mangus' ships in violation of that order. It seems as though we're being granted a bit of leeway here, let's not push our luck."
Definitely take the weapons and anticipate a fight, but maybe we'll find a chance to sneak in. I'm thinking we'll have to see what the situation looks like when we get there. Even if we can't all sneak, perhaps we can engage the rebels opposite the armored ground cars from the ship and give the civilians an opening to get to safety first and then look to get our own butts out of there. As far as flying any ships around, I don't think it's a good idea. We'll have to rely on our weapons as well as any that might be mounted on the ground cars (or grav cars?) brought out from the Skander. Tarondor, can you confirm if the ship has any of those? And whether any of the ground or grav cars have mounted weapons? Hopefully between us and the security forces that will meet us, we can handle the rebels at the cordon site.

Cor takes into consideration all of the possibilities and nods to the others. "I know there are serious reservations to staying here and waiting for the army to arrive. Well, this seems to be our opportunity to get everyone out safely. I think we can avoid the most dangerous areas of the city until we get to the starport. When we get close enough, we'll call our own security team to get in those armored cars and get their attention just before we arrive. At that point, we'll sneak past during the distraction and get the civilians to the Skander, Frey will have better medical facilities to treat the wounded and we'll be in much better position to protect our charges until the local military resumes control. What do you think? Anything I'm overlooking here? Speak up if you see something, if not, let's make this happen."
What do you all think? Any other thoughts or suggestions? In a nutshell, we take these cars already on the premises and load them up to the gills with the civilians. We've got the four of us as well as Grete and Lady Estrella to drive, so hopefully we can get everyone into six cars/vans/whatever or fewer and drive out of here, avoiding the fighting/looting on the streets. As we get close to the starport, we have Skander security drive those heavy armored cars to meet us and get to the blockade first, firing on the rebels to pin them down and distract them so we can sneak through - maybe on foot, if need be. If we do have to abandon the civilian cars and go in on foot, we can transfer folks onto those armored cars after they disengage, depending on the situation there and get everyone back to the Skander.

Traveller Referee Tarondor wrote: Lady Estrella nods in agreement. "I'm certain the captain is toeing the letter of his orders. He can't let you fly or seem to condone what you're doing. But ground cars don't violate a no-fly zone. Hell, he hasn't shot at the grav cars the rebels are using, so I think he's just forbidding atmospheric maneuvers."
Cor or anyone with Military Tactics, give me a roll with INT- or EDU-.
Military Tactics (EDU): 2d6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4, 4) + 1 + 1 = 10
Cor considers Zaeta's suggestion. Are there grav trucks here that could accommodate the number of civilians we have? Even if there are, the rebels might have anti-vehicle weapons out there, and we'd be in bad shape out in the open. At the very least though, we can call in reinforcements.
Not sure what the roll is for, maybe he'd have some tactical insight into either of these ideas or something else entirely? Again, protecting the citizens is top priority in Cor's mind. I'll wait until I get feedback for the die roll before speaking ICly. Thanks!

Cor smiles grimly at Lady Estrella. "We won't leave these folks to the rebels, they'll likely either wind up dead or used as hostages. Let me see what kind of reinforcements we can get without violating the orders of the Imperial Cruiser overhead. Do you think our ship sending ground cars would bring any retaliation?"
If she indicates that doing so would be a safe approach, Cor communicates with Skander and requests security personnel to be sent to City Hall via armored ground vehicles as soon as possible to help fortify against rebel incursion. He also asks for any updates to the situation of Magnus and his party and information on local army movements to determine when help might arrive. Lastly, Cor suggests that he, Crastor, Frey and Zaeta take up positions to watch each side of the building from a place of cover to watch for any sign of rebels moving in.
OK, so if I'm reading things correctly, the Imperial Cruiser isn't taking any overt action against the rebels to maintain their non-intervention policy, and have threatened to shoot down any ship that takes to the air. We are looking to get reinforcements to City Hall to help us fortify against any potential rebel invasion until the army gets here to help out. Would armored ground cars violate the Imperial Cruiser's orders? Is their ETA such that it'd even help?
'Lance Sergeant/Scout' Corellon "Cor" Anders - 6C97A6 | Second Officer/Astrogation | Gram (Spinward Marches 1223) | Profile Link
The only risk I see is taking these people outside. Or worse yet, having one of our ships take off in violation of the Imperial Cruiser's warning. Cor isn't going to risk that, even if it's a bluff.
The way I see it we have two options once we get the civilians into the somewhat defensible location of the Archives. Stay and fight if the rebels show up to keep them secure, or leave them to their fate and make our own way back to the ship.
Cor is going to stay.
'Lance Sergeant/Scout' Corellon "Cor" Anders - 6C97A6 | Second Officer/Astrogation | Gram (Spinward Marches 1223) | Profile Link
Cor nods. "Good. Supplies will be needed, but lets get the civilians settled down there first. An armed team can retrieve water, food and other supplies you'll need in case it takes time for the army to get here."

Cor gives Grete a nod in greeting. "Acknowledged, thank you Security Chief. We won't be going to the ship quite yet though, not unless we can secure a means to get these civilians somewhere safe. I take it the insurgents are still out there on the street? If that's the case, we'll have to find a more defensible place here and hole up until the government soldiers can reach us. Go see Frey and have those wounds looked to. We'll need your assistance soon, I'm quite certain."
He approaches Zaeta and Heleana Burke, hearing some of what the Minister had told the Legal Officer. "Is there ventilation in the basement? Can the doors be secured? How many routes lead into the Archives and is it large enough to house everyone here?"
OK, thinking we can at least get everyone in a secure location like the Archives then, assuming there's ventilation and we won't be at risk of running out of air or anything if we seal ourselves in. Alternatively, we could have Security Chief Grete Haugen in charge of guarding the civilians down there if there is only one access point, freeing the rest of us up to do something else.

OK, checked in real quick, but I must admit that as a player, I'm a little lost here. I've no intention on splitting the party up. My intent was to have Zaeta and Frey check on the civilians, calm them down, heal them up, while Crastor and I did what we could to fortify the place against the insurgent rebels until the army arrives.
As a player, I've no military training myself, and I'm not sure of the scale of the building, nor the room we're in, nor any points of egress.
So, that said, is there anywhere we could get the civilians to a place where we can shelter and hold off the rebels - if they attack - until the army arrives?
I know my CHARACTER was made an officer, and that's just fine, but it's never been my intent to override another PLAYER'S desires or wishes as to how to go about playing this game. I wouldn't like that in their shoes, I'll tell you that. I'm just trying to RP Cor as best as I can while getting input from the other players as to how best to proceed - especially given that my time for posting has been curtailed the last couple weeks.
Hope this all helps, I don't have much time on my hands for a thoughtful post, just letting you all know my thoughts here.

Apologies for delay. I'm here, just very busy at work of late with no time/energy to post. Feel free to bot me, but my take is that we are fortifying our position until army reinforcements arrive. That said, if others are looking to take other actions, I will leave it to them and figure Cor is in agreement.

'Lance Sergeant/Scout' Corellon "Cor" Anders - 6C97A6 | Second Officer/Astrogation | Gram (Spinward Marches 1223) | Profile Link
Cor glances at Crastor and Frey. "I'm not certain how we'd even go about sending out misinformation broadcasts, but if you have concrete ideas let's hear them. And I agree we need to get the civilians out as soon as possible, but the streets outside are dangerous, we can't send them out into that. We've got a good perimeter established here. Let's see about defending this floor and our charges as long as we can, should the rebels try and breach our position."
He thinks about the situation for a few moments, then comes to a decision. "Zaeta and Frey, do what you can to calm the civilians and treat their injuries. Tell them we're going to hole up until army reinforcements arrive. Crastor, come with me and lets see what we can do about making this place defensible. Estrella, you are invited as well, if you'd like to join us. Any suggestions you have would be well received, I should think." The scout does what he can to determine choke points, easily defensible hallways and doorways - anything at all to give their relatively few armed combatants a chance to defend against an incursion.
So each rebel had a body armor, one weapon and one back-up magazine or power-pack. We've also got one enemy communications unit. Were there four rebels in all, so we each have our pick of gear? Cor has a laser carbine and back-up power pack I guess, which suits him fine. He wouldn't mind a body armor as well, if we have enough to spread around among the four of us. Crastor can carry the rebel comm and track anything they might be trying to communicate? Is there a skill for that?

Think I'm needing more IC information here. My impression is that there's fighting outside, or at least rebel troops roaming around. Sending civilians out there seems more dangerous to me than keeping them here where we've at least established a perimeter of sorts.

Cor turns to Zaeta and thinks on her suggestion for a moment. "I'd suggest we stay quiet for now, it might just tip our hand if they see through the subterfuge. But let's keep their comms on hand, in case they send a message. We might need to take the risk at some point." Seeing Zaeta with the body armor and back up power pack, Cor decides that its a fine idea and does the same, procuring what he can from the fellow who had the laser carbine. He uses their own comms to alert their security entourage to tell them what happened and to have them rendezvous at the floor we've secured, if possible.
Turning back to Estrella, Cor speaks. "So. We hold the Town Hall until reinforcements arrive, yes?"

Cor checks the laser carbine to make certain it is in working order as the two Imperials argue with each other, but the second officer is listening intently. When Estrella turns to the group to ask their intentions, he smiles wolfishly. "That sounds like a very fine plan to me." He responds without hesitation.

Cor breathes a small sigh of relief that he is able to raise Skander. "The terrorists in the ballroom have been neutralized and we control most of this level of City Hall, but there are sounds of gunfire elsewhere in the building. We have wounded and civilians that we need to get to a safe place. Do you have information on the situation in the rest of the city, specifically around City Hall? And is there an update on Sundstrom? Do you have his last known location?" He listens intently to whatever news they have, and advises the ship to stay put and stay grounded for the time being - though they should ready themselves for immediate evacuation at a moment's notice should the order come down.
Answers from the ship might affect the next bit. I'm guessing Sundstrom is still out of touch and that he's somewhere in this building. If so, I'm thinking we go and see if we can help. What do the rest of you think?
Once he gets some answers, he asks to be kept updated on any new news and goes to speak with his crewmates. "We have a general order from the Imperial warship Mnasippus forbidding any liftoffs or landings, as well as enforcing a non-intervention from outside forces - so sending a ship or even a land vehicle from Skander might be seen as a hostile action towards the Imperium and we don't want to cause any diplomatic complications. However, we're here and I see no problems with taking our weapons to rescue Sundstrom - if he is being held hostage, that is." He pauses, to see if the others have any other thoughts or input.
GM, didn't we have some 'red shirts' accompany us here? Specifically, I posted earlier that "Cor figures that Security Chief Grete Haugen and Johannes Sogard should accompany them in the motorcade," are they around, either outside with the vehicles or in the building?

Cor frowns as he glances around. "And it's probably only going to get worse. Zaeta! Let's keep this folks in the building until we assess the threat level outside. At least it's secure in here for the moment. Let's see if we can't find a large room with limited access points that we can defend. Frey, see if there's anyone else with a medical background and start working on the wounded. Crastor, take a look outside and let us know how it looks." He then gets on his comm and calls the ship for a status check, inquiring about whether Magnus has been raised on the comms as well. He also moves around the room, disarming the downed terrorists to make sure that they can't take up weapons again should they only be knocked unconscious.

The terrorist shooting at him slumps to the floor and Cor turns to see the other shoot Crastor point blank, and he winces in an empathetic reaction. Still, it looks like his friend is still alive and so Cor charges with a yell, not wanting to shoot and possibly hit Crastor, so he tries to slam the butt of the carbine into the enemy's face to perhaps knock him out of the fight for good.
Melee Attack with Carbine (STR + Melee): 2d6 + 0 + 0 ⇒ (1, 5) + 0 + 0 = 6
Or not!

Cor makes a grab for the fallen man's carbine and uses it against another gunman, if he has a clean shot without risking harm to an innocent bystander.
I'll go ahead and make the attack roll, just in case. Not sure if he'd have time to move and grab the carbine off the fallen man and THEN make an attack - as I'd earlier posted I was moving in on one of the gunmen, but I've no idea if the one that fell is the guy I was close to or if that one is a ways away from my current position.
Carbine attack! (DEX + Stealth): 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (2, 6) + 2 = 10
Cor's Gun Combat (2) is focused on Energy, which I presume this carbine is not. So no modifier for that, correct? Just straight up DEX? Not sure what the damage is for the carbine.

Cor hides in the crowd as he approaches one of the armed revolutionaries still standing for as long as he can mask his approach, but he understands that something needs to be done quickly before more innocents are killed. He darts forward and slams the pipe toward the head of the nearest gunman!
Moving and Hiding! (DEX + Stealth): 3d6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (5, 3, 1) + 2 + 1 = 12 = 7 (with Bane)
If he can get close enough to rush and attack one of the armed bad guys. I'm presuming this is a STR/Melee dice roll, which is not usually in my wheelhouse, though at least Melee is a 0 and not worse...
Attack with Pipe! (STR + Melee): 3d6 + 0 + 0 ⇒ (2, 2, 5) + 0 + 0 = 9 = 4 (with Bane)
Ugh...

Cor keeps low and heads toward the gunman spraying bullets, his pipe held in a firm grip...
Moving and Hiding! (DEX + Stealth): 2d6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (5, 5) + 2 + 1 = 13
I'll roll another Hide for now, trying to move quickly to hopefully disable the terrorist before he has the chance to kill more folk. Assuming he's using a weapon with a magazine, he will try and pause to charge him when he reloads - but if he's showing no signs of slowing down, then just charge on in there and take him down and hope I don't get riddled with bullets. I'll wait on making attack rolls until you tell me I've got a target and I'm within range of doing so.

"Skander, this is Second Officer Anders. The Imperial warship Mnasippus has broadcast a warning that they will fire upon any foreign vessel seeking to intervene, so stand at ready and do not attempt a liftoff. Defend the ship, but do not seek to engage unless fired upon. Continue to try and raise the Command Staff on comms and apprise them of the situation. Keep me informed of any communications that you make. I'm closing this comm for the moment, until our current situation has been resolved. Will contact you again when it is safe to do so. Over and out."
That's his communication, as best as this player can think of to do, and then head out into the main room as noted in my last post. Staying low and hidden with the pipe in hand as his only weapon for the moment.
Hide! (DEX + Stealth): 2d6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (2, 3) + 2 + 1 = 8

Cor mutters a curse as the implications of the Mnasippus' broadcast become evident. He tries to raise the Skander again, to make certain they heard the Imperial decree and to belay that order to recall the security force. Whether successful or not, he deems that he has done what he can to protect the ship and crew for the moment and ducks down with the pipe in hand, heading out into the gunfire to see what he can do...
Yikes! Try to raise Skander again, as if I'm reading this right then recalling the security force from the planet will have the effect of getting them shot down by the Imperial ship. Will hold off on bomb building, but if I need to make a roll to get in a call to the Skander let me know though I'm not sure I've got a skill to help drill past any jamming attempts. Once that's done (or after his attempt, at any rate) will head back into the main room to take stock of what's going on. Intention is to try and take down the bad guys shooting hostages.
