I'm finding it hilarious myself. Spoiled 17 year old teenage girl spoiled Jedi brat sees like the perfect fit for her for now. Her trip from Alderaan was her first time leaving the planet.
Cora tilts her head inquisitively at the strange language Kalus used, which was obviously understood by the pretty Twi'lek girl.
"Let me see if the Force will guide us," she offered.
Cora looks at the Twi'lek and grins. "Well, unless we can get out of here it will be a short-lived experience," she quips.
"Anything to get off of this station and away from these Imperials. Credits are nice too."
I like to tinker with things like that sometimes. I'm not really an organized person, but with my D&D/RPG stuff I am practically OCD.
Cora sighs. "Look, let's make a deal here... what was your name again? Anyways, how about you NOT mention the word Jedi to anyone, and I'll think of some way to repay you when I can get some credits or something valuable. Until then, just pretend I follow some strange, hokey religion or, better yet, NOTHING AT ALL..."

Cool beans. I LOVE the KoTOR Era. The sourcebook I have was the last one the bookstore had, so I was all "yoink!" and bought it. I was debating on the Starships of the Galaxy book, but when I opened it up for the first time at the store, I opened it up to the Dynamic-Class freighter (Ebon Hawk). I felt that it was a sign, so I bought that book too. Eventually, I managed to get all the books on PDF. I also was working on my own homebrew campaign sector hidden in the Unknown Regions. I saw an update in this thread from you and thought "oh sweet maybe SD was considering my house-rule for Use the Force!" LOL.
A lightsaber is 3000 credits, far more than I would have been able to afford.
True. probably should have gone that route, but I would't have been able to start with a lightsaber. In my home games, a personal house-rule was that Use the Force was automatically a trained skill that did not count against their skill choices at 1st level.
Cora stands there in silence, her cheeks flush with embarrassment at her apparent lack of skill with a simple blaster pistol.
One of the few things I don't like is the limit to Skills. I know Jedi are already a relatively "powerful" class, but if you don't have a high enough Intelligence score the maximum number of trained skills is 2. Take in the fact that 9/10ths of a Jedi's abilities require Use the Force as a trained skill, they really only get 1 skill with a 10-11 Intelligence. Burning a feat to get another skill to me is meh. I have all of the Sage Edition books in PDF form. I have the Core Rulebook, KoTOR Era Sourcebook (of course!), the Jedi Academy Training Manual, and the Starships of the Galaxy hardcover books as well. GM-5 (EST) I know she's going to get called out a lot. She's trying to hide, and she's only 17. Someday I need to find a SE game played in the KoTOR Era...
You're fine. I'm hoping Cora's RP purposes for being a crappy shot with a blaster won't effect the group too much. I think it effectively shows her age and inexperience though. When she picks up scoundrel next level, she will pick Prof (pistols) for her 1 starting feat. Perhaps she learns from one of you guys.
Cora stuffs the power packs in her belt and follows the group into the supply room. She briefly pauses and looks around for any signs of Imperials before entering the room.
Cora catches up to the others as she pushes her way through the crowded Promenade. "I'm Ve..." she catches herself before she says her old name. "Cora. My name's Cora. Thanks for savin' my pretty little butt back there. I can't seem to hit the broad side of a ferrocrete silo. Y'think we can lose the authorities in this space station or did we stir the mynock's nest in the worst possible way?"
Keenly aware that she had just drawn attention to herself, from Imperials no less, she eagerly follows Maya after quickly searching the plainclothes informants for power packs or cells, or really anything to help her in the long run.
It's not a very Jedi-like thing to do, but unfortunately these are not good times to BE a Jedi, she tries to rationalize to herself.
Cora smirks as the two informants drop under the hail of blaster bolts from the Rodian. She glances to him and gives a curt nod of appreciation before lining up a shot against the remaining stormtrooper.
"Sithspit!" she curses under her breath. I need to learn how to use this properly, she thinks to herself.
Cora also takes cover wherever she can and fires at one of the informants firing at her.
Cora attempts to discreetly draw her sporting blaster in case things get ugly.

Cora stood there unsure of what to do. In any other time she would gladly help the injured woman, but with the current circumstances it would be extremely unwise to draw unwanted attention to herself. If she were apprehended they would undoubtedly find her lightsaber and, at the very least, kill her. At least those two men aren't looking for me specifically, she thinks to herself. Damn it! I can't just stand by and not help her...
Curled up in her seat by a view-port of the tramp freighter, Cora stared absentmindedly out at the starscape as her ride approached Sel Zonn Station. As the large station soon eclipsed her view of the stars, she contemplated the circumstances that brought her here. Her escape from Alderaan was harrowing, having just barely made it through multiple customs and identification checkpoints a each station and spaceport she travelled through. If they find me, I'm as good as dead, she thought to herself. Unconsciously, her fingers grazed across the spot where her partially dismantled lightsaber sat hidden in her right boot. She had removed the power core and hidden it separately in her left boot to hopefully not draw too much attention to herself. She was shaken from her reverie by the shudder of the freighter as it touched down in one of the cavernous docking bays. Gathering her meager belongings, she made sure that her small sporting blaster pistol was secure in her hip holster and made her way out of the vessel and into the line through customs. She was nervous at first, as she had heard that this station’s security was a bit more tightly run than her previous experiences, but she briefly closed her eyes and used a Force technique to calm herself and act as confident and naturally as she could and hoped that her false identcard would prove its worth. She had spent all of her money change her identity, from clothing to appearance, and had only 10 credits to her name. Verena Sinan is gone…killed in the Purge, she mused to herself. For better or worse, this station was her final destination unless she could find some worthwhile work. Whether through sheer luck or the power of the Force, she made it through customs without incident and made her way to the station’s Promenade.
