Pulling out his invitation to show the Inevitable, Cody continues ”I believe this invitation declares Brightcoal Estate a refuge for cultured entertainment and reminds the invitee that Basira guarantees their safety. So Basira is solely responsible for any disturbances of the peace. Also, he is guilty of being a very poor host who brings violence against his own guest.”

Cody cast Stabilize on Basira if he is still alive then picks up his dropped wand, ”I think we have overstayed our welcome. Let’s leave with the rest of the party guest and conclude our business before any authority get interested in us!”

The hunter uses his wand to start healing Panda Jr and his own wounds as the group leaves, commenting to the others ”Not a bad party, a little dull until the end when things started to heat up.”

Cody has Panda to shift about and directs his companion to warn him if Basira attacks. Use Bolster Companion trick if attacked.

Cody gets a sticking feeling as he sees Kahwen fall to burning rays from Basira, the Hunter cast stabilize on Kahwen hopping it not too late.

As a swift action Cody alters the animal aspect on Panda to that of the Bull.

Sheathing his scimitar, Cody looks at Basira, ”My fire protection will last longer than your fly spell.”.

At the very least he will cover his allies escape. But, if he survives it will go into his report how some of his allies broke ranks and ran.

Seeing two of his friends attacked one of which has fallen, Cody is not inclined to retreat from the dangerous spell caster.

Fortuitously the hunter had taken the precaution of casting fire resistance on panda and himself before talking with the lady Hsirmax. (see previous post. DR 10/fire Duration 120min.)

Cody snears at Basira, ”You have attacked without provocation my friends trying to blame them without proof for your own failings! All here can see your cowardly ways! Prepare to die! Attack Jr.”

Cody directs Panda Jr to attack Basira, as he swiftly evokes animal Focus of the Snake for Panda to improve his defenses and the Mouse for himself to gain evasion.

The small red panda, menacing races to the stairway and bounds up the steps to threaten Basira.

Pulling out a wand as he moves, Cody stops at Starling’s side and uses it magics to revive her, Here’s the wand. He holds it out to her if she to use.

Cody buys a Courtier’s outfit and already had the accomping jewelry from an earlier adventure. He will buy a jeweled leash for Panda and have his small pet professionally groomed before the party.

Then I realized the great Soheila is being very cunning in her dealings and must have seen a great advantage in this contract that others such as us have no clue. The hunter sits down as she list what the tasks are, he listens making mental notes.

One: Convence Tavar to stop pursuing Carlin Nestor for a crime he was acquitted of.

Two: Discreately reclaim Vassago and his contract from a mephitic named Malini who runs the Eye of Flame Magic Shop. Since the lone of the grandmother’s imp familiar has expired.

Three: Finalize negotiated deal with water naga merchant Soheila who represents a larger conglomerate.

Cody looks around at his companions, ”The task seem straight forward enough. We will need directions to Carlin Nestor’s safehouse so we can speak with him, and to Soheila’s home. I assume we can find Malini athe the magic shop. Is there a time limit on completing the task?“
