While that works well for a GM, players often have no such recourse. There is nothing in the guide that gives me the right to demand an audit of the scenario during the game, even if I do suspect the GM is not being completely on the up and up. Now after the scenario, I can and often do, read it with particular interest in those encounters that seemed fishy. Sometimes, it was just bad luck and the GM was a really good player. Sometimes it was just an incomplete or inaccurate reading of the scenario. There are those rare occasions though where it becomes clear the GM was just outright cheating in order to make it harder than it was supposed to be.

The "ten" have secured purchase of the entire "space body" and Dr Carol Marcus is busy working on the terraforming phase. Some setbacks have occurred particularly with the protomatter, but hopes are to have Planet Five-Star ready for habitation by spring, thus permanently correcting the over-crowding issue on Five-Star Island. Bob is correct. With the plethora of new options for specials/exclusives, I predict an explosion in the numbers soon.

In the Game Master section of the guide on page 32 it says: "In cases in which you simply cannot seat four players, you may run a table of three players, and play an official level-appropriate pregenerated character in order to meet the minimum table size of four PCs." Seems pretty specific to me. It is however pretty common practice, at least in my area, for the GM (who is already overloaded on responsibility) to allow a player to play the pre-gen in addition to his normal character.
Kind of short notice. There are 4 signed up. They are lower level though and it would be good to raise the APL a bit. Signups are at: https://warhorn.net/events/erics-online-pfs/schedule/2015/07/12/sessions/81 644 This is a CORE mode game. Please have your character registered as a CORE character prior to game time. There is a warhorn site now but registration is closed. Looks like they are making progress. https://warhorn.net/events/diecon-15-pfs-shadowrun?src=listings
The Spell List Index for the Advanced Class Guide is listing spells as one level lower than they actually are for all classes. For example, if you select Advanced Class Guide and Cantrips/Orisons and Cleric/Oracle, it lists: Blessed Fist
Which are all level 1 spells for a cleric. Other levels are off as well.

The banner does require you to be firmly holding the spear with two hands to get the benefit. Plus it is very expensive. I do have it on my bard (1 xp from retirement now) for its additional effects on inspire courage.
I also feel they are adding too much too fast. The advanced class guide classes at least were mixes of classes that we were already familiar with. These new classes seem to use totally different mechanics which makes it much more difficult to take in (at least for me). I am hoping that not many people make these in my area. Heck, I am still learning stuff from the core rule book (just learned a piece of minutia from chapter 8 this past weekend). My brain is full!
We are all (or at least can be) GMs and we are all players. There need not be a distinction in my opinion. You either follow the rules or you do not. Its the same player either way. If you are going to cheat, you are probably going to cheat no matter which side of the GM screen you are on. Intention is everything when talking about whether something is cheating or not.

This is actually a good point that I had not considered before.

Thanks Majuba. I suppose we all should get in the habit of saving old copies as well for comparisons. There has to be a better way to manage this though. The AR list is not very easy to use in my opinion.

The player themselves is the one that pointed out it had recently changed. That got me wondering why it didnt seem like it had. Now I know why.

I had the exact same misunderstanding. I run a lot of games online. You kind of have to just give up and trust your players in that format. Makes me much more tolerant when running games in person.

That actually affected someone I ran for last night. They had a spinosaurus. Not having ever seen that companion and not seeing anything saying they ever were legal made me wonder. Changes like that need to be spelled out very clearly.

Interesting. I didnt start playing until season 3 so I never saw a season 2 guide.
Steven Skysix wrote: I thought this was the PFS forum. The thread is NOW in the right place. (sorry, didnt realize it had been moved) I use a folio as well. When running, I often lend my folio to a player who doesnt have one when they really need it. It reinforces the fact that they need to buy one themselves.

I think she ended up calling one an "incompetent buffoon" because all he could do was shrug and point at the rogue when asked for his take on the situation. I plan to specifically call on players I know have not taken very good notes when I run this. :) I'm a meanie. I played it over the weekend at high subtier at a convention. We had my zen archer and a gunslinger so the combats were fairly trivial even though the gunslinger did fall through the grate kicking off the second encounter before the top level was under control. Just made it a little bit more exciting is all.

I had this happen to me at Gencon allbeit I was hiding inside a force bubble inside my own Pit from a horrible advanced fiendish Bullette. Getting a bit off topic, but pits has always confused me. What happens if the bulette burrows through the area taken up by the pit? Does it go right through as if it were not there? What if it decides to go up once it gets into the area of the pit?

This is a HARD game. I thought I'd throw that out first to weed out anyone looking for just a casual game. The DM is very good at his job of entertaining and running combats that challenge the group of 7 PCs. We recently lost a player due to the lateness of the game(11:30 pm EST start) and have been seeking someone able to fill the large shoes he left behind(a frontline fighter). This game has been running for over a year now and please only respond if you can commit long term. Still here? The party just reached level 10 but in the last battle 6/7 PCs(including self) were killed fighting a nasty boss slightly above our level nearly leading to a tpk. The group however prevailed and PC death does happen when fighting Boss monsters or high challenge quests. There is a lot of information to give about the campaign itself but I'd rather give it to serious candidates. Its a 30 PB, Paizo only(3rd party material by request but often no) Character creation. Since it is a campaign in progress you'd replace the PC that left rather then join the group(story reasons). Thus 400 gp mundane equipment the rest randomly rolled or given from the party treasury for starting equipment. You will also gain 2 special abilities story related based on your class that increase as you level but only the DM has that list, we all picked our legacies blind at 1st level. They unlocked at level 7 then at level 10. (Legacy left by the player is named Legacy of Justice) Please let me know if you are interested and your character you'd play and I will answer questions before the DM reviews the recruits for the best fits. (He may have other groups needing replacements as well as he runs this campaign through the week with many other groups.)
Hello Ladies, I am recruiting on behalf of a DM friend of mine who wishes to run another group through his amazing campaign. He would also like to livestream the sessions after the group makes it past the initial chapters(first 6) to make it a weekly thing that people could watch and witness the groups epic adventure with them. The campaign is very story based and is designed to be a challenge to the players, not tomb of horrors style but the encounters will be difficult and will require teamwork among the characters and strong character builds. Here are a few FAQ but if there is anything not covered here you are curious about please feel free to contact me on Skype. My contact is Warsor1. -House rules for the game?
