I'm back guys. Sorry when the site went down I ended up going on holiday but im here now. Ill post later when I have time.

Ciaran grinned at Ken and nodded in agreement. "It's been a long long day that's for sure. I'll be counting sheep and won't make it to two, I can promise that!"

Ciaran laughed quietly and shook his head. "No but I've never shared a room before so I don't know what my sleeping habits are really..."

Hey all. Everyone doing okay? We good still?

"I'm sure our Prefect will help us eventually. I don't blame them for not talking to us right now though, I'm about stuffed but it is hard to stop trying everything, it is all so good!" Ciaran set down his fork and pushed his plate away with purpose before glancing up and down the table.

"What are you looking forward to studying most?" He asked, turning to Leslie.

Ciaran grinned at Greg around a mouthful of potato, before swallowing and coughing politely in to his elbow. "But you are here to learn the other half of that knowledge Greg. You're gonna hate me before the week is out, I'll be asking you so many questions!" He laughed to show he was joking... a little.

Ciaran grimaced a little when Ken mentioned Anora to the others. He hated to start rumours about the girl after they just met. "My mum has always said we place too much emphasis on the 'quality' of our blood. I think those of us with muggle parents are very lucky. I feel like I'm missing half of the knowledge in the world by being pureblood. I'm proud of my heritage though, truly."

"Slytherin is famous for being completely anti muggle. Maybe she was just playing a game with us for fun?" Ciaran shrugged, helping himself to some lamb chops and potatoes. "Whatever it is, I hope she is happy in Slytherin. The hat is never wrong!"

Ciaran steeled himself before nodding and walking up to the front. He took his seat on the stool and relaxed, waiting for the sorting hat to settle over his head.

'You can do this Loughlin! Steel yourself man. Straight back and a stiff upper lip!'

"Aurors are Dark Wizard catchers. Highly trained wizards who are gifted at dueling, defending against the dark arts and self preservation!" Ciaran answered before turning to H.B.

"If these Ghurkas are as fearless and dangerous as Aurors, I'd say Gryffindor would be more than happy to have you H.B."

I get your concern but I think that if we all end up as one House we are going to be missing that sweet sweet inter party drama we would have when 3 or 4 Gryffindor and 3 or 4 Slytherin are amicable, if not downright friendly. And the lessons won't be huge role playing points I imagine. Mayne one or two posts a piece?

Ciaran took the help and steadied himself on solid ground once again before nodding to Hagrid with a smile and heading back to the others.

"We are finally here! I can't believe it is this big."

He offered a helping hand to anyone left in the boats and waited before everyone was ready to go, before beginning to walk up the stairs.

I never even thought about the Common Rooms having bathrooms. That is such an awesome detail.

Ciaran grins at Hagrid before standing up and holding the lantern aloft. "There are Merfolk in the lake, aren't there? My dad told me there were. Though he also said he met them so..." he looked sceptical at that.

Boom! Gryffindors assemble!

Thank god another Gryffindor!

Ciaran smiled up at the huge Gameskeeper and stepped forward, offering him his hand to shake. "Hi! You're Hagrid right? I'm Ciaran, Ciaran Patrick Loughlin. I've heard about you. You are the Gameskeeper. You take care of all of the cool animals." He began to follow Hagrid down to the boat.

"I'm really excited to start Care of Magical Creatures. I love animals. I have a Blakiston's Owl named Goliath. They are one of the biggest Owls in the WORLD. They can carry toddlers, human toddlers. His wings are HUGE!" Ciaran chartered excitedly as he followed the giant man in to the tiny boat.

"I wish we could have taken the Carriage. I want to see a Thestral. But the boats are good too, if we see the Giant Squid!"

Returning to the cabin dressed in his robes, casually twirling his wand between his fingers, Ciaran grins around at the rest of the group. "I can't wait to meet Professor Dumbledore in person. He is so cool!"

"Dueling?" Ciaran glanced at H.B, arching his eyebrow questioningly. "I dare say that woukd be an experience, for sure. Are you interested in becoming an Auror then?"

Ciaran sighed when people began talking about the classes they were looking forward to. "I really want to do Artificing but we don't even do that after we do our OWLS. I guess Potions and Defense against the Dark Arts is going to be cool too. I haven't learned any spells yet either. I feel kinda behind now!" He grinned at Anora.

He glanced out the window before standing up slowly, stretching. "Well I think I am going to change in to my robes. We must be getting close, right?"

Aaah I was wondering. I thought it might be the spells listed in the wand menu but that makes much more sense. Thanks man.

Did I miss a section that deals with what magic a character may know from the start? I am not sure if Ciaran knows a spell or not.

That sounds like a perfect day, wandering around a farmers market in the sun. I'm jealous and I hope it helped you feel better.

Ciaran smiled at the witch and reached in to his pocket, pulling out a small bag of coins. "I'll take a Chocolate Frog please."

He counts out the coins in to her hand before nodding his head to her and saying thanks.

"Football? Ludicrous game. Kicking around a ball on the ground sounds so slow and boring. Now the Irish, those Muggles know how to make a game. They call it Hurling. It is played by 30 Muggles, 15 a side, all armed with lengths of ash wood, hitting a fist sized leather ball around a field and trying to get it in to a goal on either end. Bloody fast game. I swear, if the whole of Ireland were wizards they'd be playing it in the air. They are mad!"

Ciaran frowned in thought, watching Ken as Isabella spoke. "You might be right. He is better proportioned for it than I am anyway, though my mum says I have a beaters centre of gravity. Polite way of saying I'm pudgy I guess!" He grinned to show he didn't care, before speaking again. "I'll try out for whatever House team. It would be good to get to play with other people!"

"She used to work for Universal Brooms for awhile till she changed to working for Nimbus. I wish it could get me a cheaper broom but Ma says that the brooms are of such high quality, everyone should pay full price for em, even the workers!" He rolled his eyes, to show how much he agreed with that.

"I bet your mum has a lot of interesting stories Vincent. Does she tell you about her job a lot? What's the most messed up story she told you?"

Ciaran brightens when Dragoslav mentions Ireland. "What part of our beautiful Country do you live in Dragoslav? How do you find it compared to England so far?"

Ciarans eyes widened slightly, "OH! He is a Muggle. I see, no wonder I haven't heard of him. But he is a celebrity? That is really cool. You must be very popular back at home!" Ciaran smiled again at the multi-coloured haired girl.

"Me Ma and Da aren't really celebrities. Well... my Da writes books ya know and me Ma designs and creates Brooms. The English and Irish teams both used her Broom in the last World Cup. Though of course it isn't her who builds em, just designs em!" He nodded as if this was widely known information.

"I'm Not a great flyer and not great with words. I'm more in to building things me. I want to learn how to make wands!"

"John Belushi!! I've heard of him. Isn't he that American Wizard who created the Magi-Vac house Cleaner? My aunt had one of them till her House Elf destroyed it in a jealous rage. That is so cool!" Ciaran stared with wide eyed admiration at the girl with the multi-coloured hair.

"Delta House...? Is that a Durmstrung house or something? It isn't Hogwarts obviously. Maybe it is Beaux Batons? Or... an American school?"

Ciaran grinned at Greg and patted him on the back. "That isn't so bad Greg. Both my parents were Gryffindor and I'm hoping to be one too. At least you will know me of we both make it in!"

It is 10pm now for me. I'm done for the day so I will inevitably post fast.

Ciaran stands up slowly and stretches, cracking his neck. "Aye good idea. I'll grab my stuff and we can store it in the other compartment, make some room!" He grinned at Dragoslave.

"Lead on!"

"Oh I'm not too worried Ken. Just would hate to scare the Kitten and the toad is all!" Ciaran grinned as he leaned forward and began to examine Kermit.

"What kind of Toad is Kermit? Me Da says that the Witchdoctors of some of the wilder tribes of the world lick Toads as part of their Spirit Quests. Is Kermit a lockable toad?" Ciaran began to sketch the toad before looking up at the boy who held him, waiting for his answers.

Ciaran looked around the 6 man Cabin and did a quick headcount, before standing up and offering Isabella his seat, before he moved to take a seat on the ground. "Come on cram on in everyone and close the door. We don't need those older kids coming back. They might curse us all next!"

Ciaran grinned and nodded up at the oversized cage crammed in to a corner on the rack above. "Goliath is out delivering some letters to me ma and Da but he will meet us at the castle. He is a Blakiston Fish Owl. Me Da found him on his travels when he was a little chick and brought him home for me. No one knew he would grow to be big enough to carry a Terrier one day. He is useless though. Great flyer but a big softie!"

When Anora brought out her wand Ciaran stared in awe for a minute. "Phoenix feather? Cooool!" he turned to a new page and began to sketch the wand with extreme care; writing the word Phoenix feather and circlingcit excitedly. "Phoenix feather is meant to be really powerful, or so they say!"

When Ken took out his own wand Ciaran pulled open his notebook and began to sketch it with a quick hand, taking in the details and making a few notes, nodding along to what Ken was saying.

"Aye I haven't got much call to use mine yet either. Beautiful wand though. I can not wait till we get to Charms.."

Ciaran brightened up and turned to Anora, picking up the wand and holding it out before him for her to admire, pointing up at the ceiling, not at her as he nodded. "Yes! Beech wood, Erumpent Hair core, 12 and a half inches. Mister Ollivander said it is a good wood for Crafting. Which makes sense. My ma would be proud. If she was around when I got it..." he trailed off with a slight frown before smiling at Anora.

"I'm Ciaran, Ciaran Loughlin. Nice to meet you!"

When the new person joined them Ciaran moved over again, shouldering right up to the window to make as much room as possible.

"That bird is so cool! Where does it come from?" he asked, unable to contain himself.

Ciaran began to blush as he realised he had missed the young woman sitting in the compartment too. He nodded at her before answering Kenneth. "No no it is okay. I can get the Trunk. And yes I am a first year, yes. Good eye. I am Ciaran. Nice to meet you Ken." he grinned broadly and dropped the Cage before offering the man his hand to shake.

When they had shook quite awkwardly, Ciaran began to drag his stuff in to the compartment. Struggling but far too stubborn to ask for help, he managed to get his gear stowed beside Anoras, before flopping down in to his seat. He sighed for a moment before starting and jolting upright, offering Anora a small nod of the head and a hand to shake before beginning to speak.

"Forgive me, I never caught your na.." He was cut off mid sentence another boy burst in to the compartment. 'Greg Douglas-Fir. That is an interesting name. I wonder if it is meant to be after the tree or is it just happenstance...' he mused quietly to himself as he watched the others interact.

He still intended to introduce himself to Anora properly but there was too much hustle and bustle so he settled down to await everything calming down. As he sat back he pulled his wand from his pocket, followed by a small notebook and a pencil. He set the want beside him, on the windowsill and tilted it slightly, admiring how the polish shined in the light. He stared at it for a minute, before he began to sketch it in his notebook and began to take some notes.

The smell of smoke and the din of the jostling crowd filled the air as he broke through the barrier and on to Platform 9 and 3/4. He stood there stunned for a full minute, before he was shoved rudely to the left and down, to crash on to his knees painfully. He blinked back tears as he stared up at the offending party, a cart, much like his own, stocked with trunks and a cat crate, instead of his owl cage.

"S-sorry.." he muttered as he pushed up to his feet slowly. "I didn't mean..." He cut off as the woman who had been pushing the cart looked at him with pity.

"That is quite alright boy. I hope I did not hurt you too badly, but you really ought not stand right there, no one will be able to see you when they come through. You aren't alone are you? Best find your parents. Mind yourself!"

He nodded numbly before grabbing his trolly and pushing it towards the train, ignoring his cut hands and knees and focusing instead on the womans words, 'You aren't alone are you?'.

Truth was he was alone. Oh he had parents but his Father was in France researching a book about Joan of Arc and his Mother was at a conference with the Head of the Quidditch World Cup, selling them on her new Broom design. They had sort of seemed to just forget that today was his first day at Hogwarts so he didn't mention it. He knew how to get the Night Bus and he had some money saved so he just packed up his own case and away he went.

Ciaran was used to having to do things alone so this was just another day for him. He busied himself with running through a mental checklist, counting off his supplies and other necessities he had packed, as he began to drag his trunk and the huge Owl cage down the train, stopping to stare in to compartments, before hurrying on.

As he came to the middle of the train he peeked in to a compartment with a lone boy sitting inside, a boy around his own age. Pushing open the door, he stuck his head in and smiled, before speaking.

"Mind if I join you? Everywhere else is full up!"

That wasn't entirely true, there had been a space in another compartment, it had just been filled with Fourth year girls and they almost looked fit to kill him, when he had opened the door.

He pulled the large owl cage beside him as he waited for his answer. The cage was empty right now, Goliath was busy with a pair of letters to his parents, informing them of his trip to Hogwarts. He must have looked quite strange, a pudgy red haired kid carrying a cage almost as big as he was, while dragging a trunk twice his size.

Damn I was writing at the same time as you Times. lol

81 is good.

Discord has a mobile app too, if that helps. And nothing is actually being done on Discord, bar small talk. I think Discord was just a suggested way for people to reach the GM quickly. It wasn't a requirement.

Yeah I wish we could upload pics at times.
