Shifty, I can't say how much fun this has been over the last few years. With Rastar bumbling about and his semi-feud with J'Shun, and then getting to bring Chivix in just in time for Chorizal to not roll over a 10 EVER in an entire starship combat. Just so much fun. Thanks for running us through all these!

"This shirren is concerned. Given that Drift travel makes the Pact Worlds even possible, an interruption of the data links that hold the social and economic establishments together would ruin what little cohesiveness remains. This shirren is happy to do what is necessary to make up for their failure to hold the Indefatigable together and get more Starfinders to safety."

Chivix had been down ever since that fight, no longer even referring to himself by name, only "this shirren".

Wooo!

Chivix regained consciousness a few seconds later (9.3, according to Gravy) and struggled to the engineering station. The board was completely red, except for some minor flickerings of orange in the shield generator. Quickly he shunted the last of the engine reserves into shields, bulking up the port side and switching J'Shun's maxware (and how did he sneak that aboard?) into the front.

"Everyone hold on. This might be rough!"

Chivix took a deep breath and pressed a button on his armor. Draconic fluids poured from reservoirs deep in his armor to flood his body with chemicals. Time seemed to stand still as he and Gravy went into a kind of overdrive mode themselves, rushing from system to system and activating a cloud of nanobots he had personally brought aboard for just such an occasion. Shivix closed his compound eyes and saw through the nanobot swarm. Without his AI to assist, it was unlikely that he would have been able to do much more than let the cloud act autonomously, but with the dragonblood boosting his senses and Gravy's own intellect helping out, Chivix guided the swarm across the hull, patching the worst of the wounds in the Indefatigable's sides and giving them another chance. Hopefully it would make the difference, because as the dragonblood left his system, Chivix was a quivering wreck.

"Make...it...count." was all he got out before collapsing on the deck.

"GRAVY! The robot is the size of a small hovercar and stupid AI can't event hit it? No! Do not try and blame it on the rifle. Rifle worked just fine on sniper. Mid-80s on Friday. Then mid-80s Sat morning before storms hit around 3. Dropped to about 70ish and then the winds kicked up. We actually spent Saturday at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg. Storms were so bad they closed the park an our early. We closed the place out, and were completely soaked by the time we got to the car. The driest spot on me was a quarter sized spot on my right hip on my underwear.

Riding roller coasters in a light rain isn't too bad. The last one though...the rain picked up and it felt like being continually hit in the face with airsoft pellets while being waterboarded. So much fun! :D

Chivix, the laser rifle exotic dancer mechanic, and his AI pal Gravy are here!

description:

Perhaps a little shorter than your average Shirren, Chivix has a mottled brown-black skin that often blends in well withthe dark recesses of a ships engineering bay. His bulging multi-faceted eyes can make some people a little leery at first, but his easy going and curious manner generally set them at ease. Where his shoulders meet his neck, Chivix has a small lump of plastiderm that houses the external portion of his exocortex, which he has proudly named Gravy, having been told by a mercenary on his first ship meant "Great Helper" in an ancient tongue. His left arm has a similar bulge on the underside, storing his custom rig and all the attachments for it.

background:

Chivix was hatched on Akiton just outside of Khefak Depot, where his parents were part of a small junker collective of Shirren. He learned the junk trade as a hatchling, and his collective often spent time with a ysoki clan who were in the same business. Chivix grew up finding junk, fixing it up, and selling it for a profit. When he learned the basics of engineering - how to combine mechanics and electronics to form components that could actually do something - he was hooked for life. He spent his formative years growing his knowledge and understanding of engineering practices, then signed up with the first mercenary gang with a starship that would have him. He has bounced from ship to ship, always looking for the next adventure and keeping things running better than he found them. A chance encounter with a Starfinder pathseeker team showed Chivix the possibilities of traveling the universe, finding new and interesting artifacts, and getting paid well for it, all while being part of a group larger than a standard ship's company. Chivix just had to take a shot at it.

Thank you for running this game for us, @GM Skeemo! I enjoyed it immensely, and it was great to get Chivix back into action again.

Sorry, I missed seeing any updates :(

Chivix celebrated ending the immediate threat to his companions before heading straight for the nodes and the reactor power core to take readings and maybe get a sample or two.

When the evacuation began, Chivix assisted with the removal of as many non-critical systems as possible to gain more space for the refugees, and re-routing of many critical systems to areas that could not support life.

During the post-evacuation briefing, the shirren mechanic enthused about the intelligence of Salvation's End. "Venture-Captain Vex, Chivix and Gravy think that the Salvation's End entity will be amenable to future alliance, and it should be pursued most assuredly. The Starfinders have already shown their ability to act when the entity cannot, and though Chivix and Gravy are still at a loss for what the entity's guiding purpose is, the entity has shown great powers and abilities that the Starfinders could learn from."
