Chinuye sends out bolts of force once again. force damage: 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (3, 3) + 2 = 8 2 bolts strike the same bat she had targeted previously. force damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 she spends a point from her arcane reservoir to increase the CL and sends the third bolt to the bat next to the one she had just struck. Maybe mark the bats as b1, b2, b3, etc?
Yanking her spellbook from where it was attached to her belt, Chinuye flicks through to one of the first pages. Scanning over the spell she uses a minor invocation to quickly burn it into her mind. Chinuye uses the quick Study exploit to replace prestidigitation with acid splash, spending a point from her arcane reservoir.
Chinuye's excited demeanor shifts to disappointment at the sight of the trolls. Taking out a small vial of ground minerals, Chinuye mutters a few words of magic, weaving together a spell. A shining blanket of dust covers the two trolls on the left. Glitterdust: DC 17 (will negates) blinded for 4 rounds (may make a new save at the end of their turn).
Chinuye buys three days worth of rations before following the others into the tunnels. She goes about exploring the tunnels with a giddy smile plastered across her face. As she moves through the tunnels she concentrates on a detect magic spell, pointing the spell in every which way. Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14 How long do the tunnels go on for?
A necromancer? If I'm lucky he'll be the type to collect spells into a spellbook. I can certainly help with identifying any arcane items that this necromancer left behind. Assuming he hasn't used necromancy to stay "alive", then we'll have a whole other problem. Do we have anything better than rumours about where we're going?
A woman sits at a nearby table nursing a drink of wine. You recognize her as belonging to a people from the Far East. A rare sight even back in the Empire proper. She's slumped forward in her chair a bored expression on her face. Great place to hide! Pah! If only it weren't so boring. Her eyes shift at the entrance of Amideo. He looks far too formal for this place, even with the grime of travel. And the way he walks... Military? When he announces himself as the circuit judge Chinuye has to catch a look of worry that almost crosses her face. Authority... I doubt he's here for me but still, best to keep a close eye on him. He'll likely be one of the first to be informed of my bounty. Getting up Chinuye approaches the group. My my, a man of the law. And here I thought your kind didn't exist out here. I had hoped anyway. My name is Chinuye. She gives a slight curtsey. I am sorry... but I also overheard that you lot are going on some sort of adventure. I have many skills, including that of the arcane arts and would be more than happy to lend those talents. I have grown somewhat bored as of late. And it's best to keep your enemies close. Even if they're only the potential kind. She gives a bit of a side eye to Amideo.

How does that sound?

If you want to get craft wondrous items you might be better off getting the master crafter feat rather than dipping into sorcerer. Some items have a caster level requirement to craft (though you can ignore this by increasing the craft DC by 5). Another option is to switch to the Eldritch Scoundrel archetype. Just something to think about. If you don't get craft wondrous items, I might get it instead. |
