Hey sorry for the silence. Things have still been hectic IRL so I think it'll be best if I drop out. Hope you guys have a good time.

Chinuye sends out bolts of force once again.

force damage: 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (3, 3) + 2 = 8 2 bolts strike the same bat she had targeted previously.

force damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 she spends a point from her arcane reservoir to increase the CL and sends the third bolt to the bat next to the one she had just struck.

Maybe mark the bats as b1, b2, b3, etc?

Chinuye works her magic launching bolts of magic that seek out the bat closest to her.

She casts magic missile and spends a point from her arcane reservoir to increase the caster level by 1. force damage: 3d4 + 4 ⇒ (3, 2, 4) + 4 = 13

Sorry I've been absent for a bit, holidays got hectic. Will make a post soon.

Chinuye fires off another blast of acid, targeting the still conscious troll.
touch attack: 1d20 + 4 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 + 2 - 4 = 15
damage: 1d3 ⇒ 3

Are we using hero points?

Chinuye screams in pain before dashing over next to Chaucair hoping that the horses will provide some cover from the crossbow wielding troll. Working her magic she slings a bolt of acid against the troll between Djack and Amideo.

Touch attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Acid Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 3

Yanking her spellbook from where it was attached to her belt, Chinuye flicks through to one of the first pages. Scanning over the spell she uses a minor invocation to quickly burn it into her mind.

Chinuye uses the quick Study exploit to replace prestidigitation with acid splash, spending a point from her arcane reservoir.

I'm about to switch out one of my cantrips for acid splash, using the quick study exploit, so I'll be able to deal acid damage starting next round.

Says I require access for the map.

Chinuye's excited demeanor shifts to disappointment at the sight of the trolls. Taking out a small vial of ground minerals, Chinuye mutters a few words of magic, weaving together a spell. A shining blanket of dust covers the two trolls on the left.

Glitterdust: DC 17 (will negates) blinded for 4 rounds (may make a new save at the end of their turn).

I feel like it would be faster if you rolled out initiative for us.

Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Well that's just awesome.

Hmm, how exciting. Chinuye voice might be a whisper but you can still hear the giddy excitement radiating from her. Let's hope it's some kind of exotic beast.

Chinuye buys three days worth of rations before following the others into the tunnels. She goes about exploring the tunnels with a giddy smile plastered across her face. As she moves through the tunnels she concentrates on a detect magic spell, pointing the spell in every which way.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

How long do the tunnels go on for?

Chinuye gathers a few days worth of rations but before she can purchase them, she ponders out loud. How long should it take to reach the mesas?

Chinuye smiles and nods approvingly at Fernanda's answer.

At the shop.

Ah, here it is. Though... I'm afraid I arrived in Albarra with little money and haven't had the opportunity to make more yet. So if you want me to cast that spell one of you will have to purchase this scroll.

If we can get a scroll of the spell, I can copy it into my spellbook. Finding a fellow arcane artist and paying for the privilege to copy their work is usually cheaper though... If we can find one

just but one scroll of identify and I'll put it in my spellbook.

I've been to a couple opera's back when I was a student. Though I've never seen you perform before. A pity we're unlikely to find a decent opera house out here.

Is there a particular reason why you want this lantern Fernanda?

Greetings. My name is Chinuye. Smiling at Mistress Espindola, she bows her head as she enters her home. Djack also mentioned a necromancer, so if we could get any information you poses on these subjects that would be most helpful.

A necromancer? If I'm lucky he'll be the type to collect spells into a spellbook. I can certainly help with identifying any arcane items that this necromancer left behind. Assuming he hasn't used necromancy to stay "alive", then we'll have a whole other problem. Do we have anything better than rumours about where we're going?

A woman sits at a nearby table nursing a drink of wine. You recognize her as belonging to a people from the Far East. A rare sight even back in the Empire proper. She's slumped forward in her chair a bored expression on her face.

Great place to hide! Pah! If only it weren't so boring. Her eyes shift at the entrance of Amideo. He looks far too formal for this place, even with the grime of travel. And the way he walks... Military? When he announces himself as the circuit judge Chinuye has to catch a look of worry that almost crosses her face. Authority... I doubt he's here for me but still, best to keep a close eye on him. He'll likely be one of the first to be informed of my bounty.

Getting up Chinuye approaches the group. My my, a man of the law. And here I thought your kind didn't exist out here. I had hoped anyway. My name is Chinuye. She gives a slight curtsey. I am sorry... but I also overheard that you lot are going on some sort of adventure. I have many skills, including that of the arcane arts and would be more than happy to lend those talents. I have grown somewhat bored as of late. And it's best to keep your enemies close. Even if they're only the potential kind. She gives a bit of a side eye to Amideo.

Sorry, I meant to post something yesterday but had something come up. Should I just make a post now and we forget about Xiamara or what?

Sognia (pronounced like So-niya) - Galloan goddess of exploration and invention; Al: CG; followers NG CG CN; Domains: Artifice, Chaos, Good, Knowledge and Travel
Formally most followers were of Galloan descent, though within the last two centuries, she has become more popular amongst Ricoan and Espen communities. She has become especially popular amongst young elites attending the prestigious Espen University, (insert name of capital city) la Academia.

How does that sound?

Go for it, it's really just a pipe dream. I wouldn't be eligible for another 3 levels, minimum.

Sure thing.

@rando1000 Am I free to use my 6000gp on crafting wondrous items?

I don't remember that last time (with another DM) that there was downtime for crafting. So was considering multi-classing into Wizard or Sorcerer. Trying to find the smallest/fastest "dip" to get me there (Craft Wonderous).

Also, with the entropy storyline, figured Impossible Bloodline Sorcerer is plausible. Coming in contact, parts of his brain/psyche opening up...

If you want to get craft wondrous items you might be better off getting the master crafter feat rather than dipping into sorcerer. Some items have a caster level requirement to craft (though you can ignore this by increasing the craft DC by 5). Another option is to switch to the Eldritch Scoundrel archetype. Just something to think about.

If you don't get craft wondrous items, I might get it instead.

Hey there everyone.

Do you have any other deities made up for the setting? I'm thinking Chinuye would probably worship someone similar Desna or maybe a god of magic/knowledge.
