Good luck guy.

Roll20 is fine with me.

Can Roll20 work on iPhone/iPad? I tend to stick with google slides since i can edit them on my phone. But roll20 has a lot of interesting nicnacs.

I can access Roll20.

What am I missing from my submission?

Ah, Step Two, Personality: How do you intend on playing this character and how will they get along with others?

Chimp is a mechanic. He likes to fix stuff and tinker with new technology. When he is with the group, he will be somewhat in the back taking potshots at those currently engaged in combat. If he was too, he will fight with a knife, but his specialties lay in the ether.

Back story update.

Backstory:
Life was so simple back in the forest. I use to scurry across the ground with my family. I don’t know how they ended up there, but I was born in one of the forests of Castrovel. It was somewhat a lonely few years, but I had my family. One night, something worried them and they went to investigate something. I heard a loud roar and saw the night light up. I was too frightened to see what happened that night. I shivered in our den for the rest of that night. When I left the next morning, I found a blackened field, but my parents were nowhere to be seen.

After that, I was alone and had to fend for myself. I would hunt for food and try to survive day by day. That is until one day, some metal monstrosity landed in the blackened land and some people climbed out of it. They were not like me, they were tall and had no fur. How did they not freeze at night, I couldn’t tell you. While they were away, I went to look at the thing. I didn’t know that it was a ship then, I just knew it as something new.

Their ship was not too big and I lost track of time as I found things I have never seen before and smelled something so sweat my mouth started to water on its own. I was able to open a box and I found a treasure beyond measure. Each thing in this box smelled like nothing I have ever smelled before. I brought one closer to my nose and sniffed. The aroma took me away and I had to have a bite of it. The thing was so delicious I couldn’t stop eating it, the next thing was a slimy thing but it tasted too good. A small red vegetable looked delicious, but when I bit into it my mouth set on fire and I cried. I ate too much and fell asleep.

The movement of the ship woke me up as they lifted off the planet. I was scared and tried to get out of the ship, but when I went to the area I came in from, it was gone. I couldn’t find out how to get out of the ship and tried to find somewhere to hide… I ended up in the room with the food box. I saw a little cave and hid in it. I fell asleep.

Sometime later, I was awoken by one of them screaming at the mess I made. I cowered in the place I was hiding and it wasn’t long till he found me. At first, I was afraid. I didn’t know what he would do to me. But I think he saw that I was still a child and took pity on me.

Eventually I started to help them. Sanji, their cook, took me in as a pet… don’t know how I feel about that now, but it was good. I started to learn from each of them and eventually started to help fix the ship and the more I learned the more that they saw me as a member of the crew and not a pet. Sanji said that I was always monkeying around and ended up calling me Chimp, Chimp Hancock, his last name. I was honored by the name and took to it fully.

Now, years later, we are still roaming through this system. We have been back to Castrovel once or twice, but we never visited where the black mark was. Though, I want to go back there, to see if I can find out what happened to my parents. But to do that, I will have to find my own crew, one that is not always busy with contracts and shipment dates. They have done enough for me already, I can’t ask them for more. That’s why I will now adventure out on my own. I’ll head to the station and hopefully find a good crew that will eventually help me find those I have lost.

All I have from my early years is a locket. There is a description on it in a language that I can’t understand. Hopefully one day, I will.

@ Chimp, I can see where you are going with it. If you can modify it for the new character, it will work. Ysoki is a ratfolk. Is your character female? Also, I like the name Chimp Hancock, even for a Ysoki. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product.

I'll be able to modify it. Chimp Hancock will be male. I was posting with Jane to see if her profile set up would be okay for you.

Looking at the Mechanic class to switch to.

Yes to both. In fact, they synergize really well.

I should have a character ready later today... tomorrow evening at the latest.

Dotting for interest as well. Will try to recycle this theme for it.
Ok. Are you open to changing the race?

Never!!!!! (joking)

I am going to look through the races now to see if there is one (available) that i can fit his background.... even if it's pounding a square box into a round hole with a rubber mallet.

lol, never thought of that. I am posting as him right now so you can take a look at him... encase your steampunk game needs a new player :3

Lol Really? That's one of my favourite parts. XD
Yeah, look at Chimp, He's got a Monkey Wrench that he wields as a weapon.

I can never not refer to a screwdriver as anything other than a dagger now xD I can imagine Veronica's reaction to seeing that.

"T-that's your weapon? I c-can buy you a r-real dagger if you w-want."

I think i'll do a little RP here with that comment.

RP:

Chimp looks down at his screwdriver and back up at Veronica. "A dagger is so limited with what you can do with it." he quickly disassembles one of his small devises and shows it to her, then repairs it right away. "A dagger would have messed up the fine mechanics within this thing and could have caused an explosion at the wrong moment." He puts away his screwdriver and smiles.

Chimp looks at the potion Mooshlbooshy has presented him. "This one tastes better than the first one you gave me... right?"

Feel free. inly had time to type that before my students hinted me down.

What kind of experiments are we talking about here. Chimp wouldn't have done something dangerous or inhuman.

Okay. This is Chimp Hancocks story.

backstory:

Life use to be so simple back in the forest. I use to swing in the trees, pick bugs out of my family and friends and even mess with the wild panthers of the North America. Don't know the name of the land. Then the civilized monkeys came through the forest and laid down tracks and started to chug through it and make loud noises every so often. It was so loud that my family was talking about moving deeper into the forest. I was still young then and the big metal train captured my imagination, but they were too fast to catch and never stopped.

That is until one day, one stopped in the middle of our territory. My family watched as a horde of wild beasts attacked the train and were quickly dealt with. My family decided to leave the next day. While they were packing and getting things ready to go, I snuck away and was able to get into the head of the train.

It looked like one of those wild beasts got through and tore the inside of the head apart. There was one small, fat monkey in there. It looked like he was a Medicine Man, trying to heal this beast. I noticed him fumbling for some stick on the ground. He couldn't see where it was so I picked it up and handed it to him. He said something in his language that i didn't understand. Then he looked at me and i guess i scared him. He jumped and hit his head on the skull of the train. I moved back, tripping over a rock on the ground.

After a few minutes, he put the stick into the rock and sit down. He pulled out something from his pocket and took a bite and held out a piece for me. I looked at it and sniffed it. It smelled like old dead meat. Well, he was eating it, so i decided to give it a try. It wasn't bad. He soon went back to healing the train. I watched and it wasn't long until he had it fixed.

Then i saw this beast regain consciousness and start to slowly move. Before i knew it, he was pointing to things and trying to teach me his language. I didn't noticed that we were leaving my home until we were already out of the forest and on a great plane.

After that, he took me back to his home. He lived in a forest with trees that didn't have leaves. There were some normal trees, but they were not many. I soon learned that these trees were called buildings and it wasn't a forest, but a town. The stick he was using on the Trains skull was a wrench and the rock was a toolbox.

Sanji Hancock taught me many things and i helped him out in his workshop since i came to the city. When we first met, he thought i was a monkey so he named me Chimp and it stuck.

Now, years later. We are still working in his workshop and business is good. I have learned many things from him and have started to tinker to make my own devices. That is until the earthquakes started. They tore through the workshop, knocking stuff off the wall, causing damages to the new home i have found.

When Sanji heard about the government sending out a party to investigate, he wanted to go. But Sanji is old, really old for a gnome and shouldn't be out exploring caves. I went in his stead.

This is Amsheagar, I have decided to make a Gearhead... Hopefully i figured most of it out. Still working on his contraptions.

The race is a 8 RP creature known as a Vanara, a monkey man. I am going to tie into his backstory how he ended up on a train and was raised by a Gnomish Tinkerer, which is what brought him to town.
