Alphonse grips Foereaper in anger at the wanton destruction caused by Nero, of sheer spite. Evil for a purpose is no less evil, but at least it stems from understandable human emotions and motives.

"Let us win here and be rid of Nero's foul stench on this plane for good. Please bless us, lord, in our endeavors. Amen." he says, then charges forward into battle.

Assailed on all sides by the doughty Crusaders, the dragon is swiftly slain, Lucius delivering the final stroke with Dies Irae, chopping the dragon’s head clean off its neck!

Ouch! Already 88 hp in the hole!

The dragon pantomime’s “time out” and puts its claws up in a posture of surrender...

It mouths “Let’s chat...” and imitates a human smile that comes across as fang-baring...

Inspired by the sight of the dragon, Zagathoth calls to mind the fighting style based upon it. swift action to activate martial flexibility (dragon style)

As the creature inhales deeply in preparation for breathing lightning on his companions, the orc bounds forward with Doomcresent raised high. full round action to charge (dragon style lets me ignore difficult terrain while charging). When sparks start to gather in the blue wyrm's maw, he realizes what's about to happen and, abandoning any thought of fighting sensibly (free action to activate rage), swings at the beast will all his might.

Zagathoth bounds up the great copper stairs like a young dragon himself, and with a great soundless (in the silence area) roar of orcish fury, brings Doomcrescent down upon the blue dragon’s head just before it spits a blast of lightning at his companions! The blade cleaves a deep gash between the dragon’s eyes and down its snout, drawing a spray of bright crimson dragonblood!

GGGRRRRAAAAAGGHH!!! YOU AND YOUR PUNY FRIENDS WILL PAY FOR THAT, ORC!! goes unheard in the magical silence...

Lucius likewise hurries forward, pulling Dies Irae from its large sheath he edges from the straight slightly, intending to attack the dragon from a side. He carries the 'silenced' coin with him - simply to stop the dragon's awful puns!

Lucius can ascend the giant copper steps with a double move, drawing his holy sword as part of one of his move actions since he has a BAB of at least +1...

As the inquisitor cardinal comes almost within a swing of Dies Irae from the dragon, it focuses its reptilian-feline eyes upon the pearlescent-glowing blade, and silently mouths an exclamation that goes unheard within Lucius’ magical zone of silence...

Johann clambers up the great copper-plated steps to within claw’s swipe of the dragon, but cannot quite yet get his paws on the monster!

Oho! The Bear wants to play, does he!? Come! Let us tussle, big fellow! Of all the Crusaders, you are the one I bet tastes most delicious... Unless it’s your little buddy, the Fox! He does look tasty!

After electrocuting the three Crusaders, the cheeky young rascal mimics their jerking reactions, mocking them!

When the party is ready to enter the dragon’s lair...

The ten-foot-wide-by-ten-foot-high corridor opens into a spacious chamber, some fifty-feet-square-by-fifty-feet-high, with ten-foot-wide-by-five-foot-high tiers rising from north to south, the south most tier being twenty feet higher than the floor at the north end of the chamber. (Four tiers, the first 5-ft-high, second 10-ft-high, third 15-ft-high, and fourth at the south end of the chamber 20-ft-high.)

The floor and the tiers here are plated with verdigris-tinted copper.

Atop the highest tier at the back southeast corner, coiled like a horse-sized winged serpent atop a heap of coins, gems, jewels, and other treasure, is a dragon with azure scales that lighten to a copper hue at the underbelly, and ivory horns on its cat-like head! It snaps its head in the party’s direction, blue electric sparks crackling in its fanged maw and flaring nostrils!

The dragon rises onto its four clawed, blue, catlike legs, and opening its jaws wide in the party’s direction, inhales a mighty breath...

The inquisitor cardinal detects the sound of a dry, reptilian voice muttering in Draconic, as one talking to oneself, echoing in the depths down those dark stairs... Perhaps the jingle of coins and rattle of jewels as something about the size of a horse slithers over a hoard?

EDIT: The young blue dragon’s name was Ceruleax, not Azurulea...
