Trust me, I'll take DR over hardness any day of the week. I still have nightmares about this one scenario I played. Cathetel continues to wear down the creature, throwing his bombs harder than before, determined to finally bring it down. Bomb vs Touch AC: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Apologies for the hold up, have been stocktaking :( Cathetel takes a step back in fear as the demon reveals itself, but regains control of himself, and immediately hurls a bomb at the most threatening enemy, which just happens to be the black dragon his friends were attacking. Ranged Touch Attack (Bomb): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16

Knowledge Local: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Can anyone aid on those, or am I really the only person here with ranks in Knowledges :( Actually that brings up a good point, can you aid another knowledge checks?

"It reads, 'Enter the Black Edifice, locus of the Thrallkeepers, servants of the Runelord of Sloth'" Cathetel translates, looking at the inscription. "I imagine that this isn't really an encouraging development"

Its fully charged, because I got it at the end of my first adventure (where you have to spend PP) and this is my second adventure. Relax everyone, healing shouldn't be an issue. Don't worry about any charges I have to spend, it all evens out in future adventures.

I should point out that I do, (if memory serves) have a CLW wand because its my second adventure. Just pointing this out if anyone is low on healing, since I don't mind taking a charge or two off.

Unfortunately then, that leaves me unable to make an attack without provoking an AoO, so I think I'll just take the total defence action and then move into the bush to prevent getting flanked again.

Its hard to know exactly, but to the tree's on the map count as difficult terrain? IE, can Cathetel make a 5 foot step SW and then throw a bomb at the man exactly east of that new position?

Heh, tempted though I was to bomb the bear into oblivion, I too, realised Wild Empathy could work, and its not like the skill gets much use anywhere else. Tough luck on the roll though.

Yeah whoops, forgot to mention I'd take 20 if the opportunity presented itself. Cathetel smiles and inclines his head in thanks towards Tomas, bending over to unlock the chest.

Cathetel frowns slightly as he kneels and examines the chest. "I could take a crack at it, although I am unfortunately no expert". Disable Device: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Male Human Alchemist 1 HP: 9 | AC: 15 | T: 12 | FF: 13 | CMD: 15 | Fort: +3 | Ref: +4 | Will: +0 | Init: +4 | Perc: +4 | Sense Motive: +0
Ah, thanks for that, got confused =] Fortitude Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 Cathetel backs away from the swarm of books, before hurling a second bomb at them, while backing away defensively. Bomb: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Male Human Alchemist 1 HP: 9 | AC: 15 | T: 12 | FF: 13 | CMD: 15 | Fort: +3 | Ref: +4 | Will: +0 | Init: +4 | Perc: +4 | Sense Motive: +0
Cathetel mutters a mild oath as the swarm of books descends upon them, hurling a makeshift alchemists bomb at the target, hoping to dent its numbers. Bomb: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Male Human Alchemist 1 HP: 9 | AC: 15 | T: 12 | FF: 13 | CMD: 15 | Fort: +3 | Ref: +4 | Will: +0 | Init: +4 | Perc: +4 | Sense Motive: +0
Cathetel passes this information onwards to the rest of the party so we can make an executive decision as to whether we want to backtrack to the main library or check a few more doors first.

This is why I dislike skill check heavy scenarios, you roll badly once and it can ruin your success chances for the entire thing :(. I don't think skill checks auto fail on a 1, however the result was so low I doubt I learnt anything that was important. As far as I know, there is no-one else with Knowledge: Arcana trained (or even someone else with ranks in it iirc). As far as the rest of my actions go, I'll help Malaika with the doors he was investigating.

Nope, I think its Cunning Second, which would mean Royal Lion would have to be third...and it doesn't fit there either. At a guess "Royalty" is a red herring since its not technically an attribute. I'm basing this off experiences with a Taldor PC, which used to give faction missions out to Taldor Faction PCs that symbolised the above attributes.
