Too bad.

May it be a good one to the winners.

Good luck everyone.

*crosses fingers*

How odd. When i typed those in searches, there were no results. XD

*searches for kickass traits*

.
..
...

They are not found on the d20pfsrd or Archive of Nethys.
Not listed under 3PP traits on the d20pfsrd, either.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

All because of that awakened coyote alchemist, trying to find new ways to catch the awakened running bird.

Now we just have to wait till 1st of August. :P

Well lone travelers meet new faces every so often.

Wouldn't be a stretch to think two people who love the woods would meet, right?

(your horse might have suffered a jumpscare from the dino, though ^^)

Background:

Cassandra grew up in a druidic enclave, where a variety of dinosaurs were the companions to the druid inhabitants. The tradition was started by her mother, who had dinosaur eggs transported from the Mwangi Expanse, having traveled there and having seen the majestic great beasts.

On her 12th birthday, Cassandra received two things. First, an egg, it was to be her own dinosaur companion to raise, train and befriend. She was very excited, as it was unknown what kind of beast would hatch from it.

The second was a partial manuscript, left by her father, who was said to be traveling monk from the east who had a short romance with Cassandra's mother.

Over the years, young Cassandra trained with her ever growing carnivorous companion, before taking to the road on a pilgrimage, a tradition in her circle. To go someplace where nature was still plenty and dangerous, and raise the companion to become a strong protector, worthy of the circle.

Along the way, she picked up basic survival skills and first aid training, relying on nature's gifts for supplies.

While many lands had only limited potential, the news of the Stolen Lands, where a newly risen kingdom had established itself, sounded like the perfect destination, and she set out with determination and confidence.

Personality:

Cassandra is a bit like an older sister.
Cautious, but a helping hand where needed. She was raised by traditions and rules in the enclave, as such is inclined to act according to local customs, but has no qualms acting differently to ensure the safety of friends.

Generally a casual moodful person, she tries seeing the bigger picture, all while having a strange sense of humor.

Ticking her off can get her to be exceptionally blunt in her choice of words towards those who wrong her or her friends.
She is very protective of her dinosaur companion. Woe to those who ridicule it.

Appearance:

Cassandra is an 20 year old human of about 5ft 9" tall, of athletic build, with raven hair falling onto her shoulders.

She is of Tian/Varisian heritage.

Her reason to come to the Stolen Lands:

Cassandra is on a traditional pilgrimage for her druidic enclave, where upon she must travel to lands bountiful of nature and danger, in order to further develop her skills and raise the dinosaur to become a mighty protector.

You need but ask, elf.

Fortunately for you, i've got a soft spot for a good romance story.
And secrets, i love discovering secrets.

(^^)

"You're welcome, have a good day."

Cassandra waves you goodbye.

Steph, when the girls are done shopping, could you set Cassandra inactive please.

Thanks.

I'll leave Steph to determine what the outfit will cost.

"Alright.
Though i'll have to show you how to effectively use them."

Cassandra turns with her back towards Tereze.
Showing a step by step, Cassandra shows how you can do it by yourself.

"And you merely need to twist slightly to their respective sides and pull out."

Cassandra smiles.
"That's not a problem. If it's no big scale things, i can add decorations if you will wait a bit, not too long, not to worry."

"I do.
There's a hair dresser nearby, goes by the name of Sophia, if you wish to go for ringlets.
Aside from her eccentric behavior, she's alright.
Personally i think smooth hair is more stylish, as it is more flexible for hair styles, but that's a matter of taste."

.."But..if it's keeping your hair up, that you're looking for, i have something else."

She walks back towards a cupboard.
"It's something i traded before i stranded here.
Since i'm not going to any fancy occasions, you'd be better off using them."

When she comes back, the back of her own hair is kept up, with two decorative sticks.

Hairstyle from:

the front

the back
- the butterflies, if you want.

"Something from back home."
When you're done observing it, she pulls them out smoothly, and her hair fails smooth down again.

I wonder how many of us see Ery's culture reference here.
:)

Tereze wrote:
No, I just assumed you were Mistress Hanata from ze sign zat says "Hanata's Stitches"... Was I wrong?

"No, you're not wrong. But you called me Janana. Unless it's a word for tailoress where you're from, where is that, by the way, you have an unusual accent.

Anyway, you can drop the mistress part, we're the same age and i'm just a stranded adventurer turned tailoress, nothing too fancy. "

Upon mention that a man is involved, Cassandra smiles.
"An elf? Haha, the last elf i traveled with, was one of those wizardly intellectual types. Versed in linguistics, but too much of a prude when it came to getting his hands and clothes dirty when push came to shove.
As long as they don't act haughty and superior, they're alright."

Cassandra noticed the returning gaze from Gwen upon the dress.
"Oh, you fancy that one, do you?
Come here, i've got a mirror if you want to try it on."

Cassandra chuckles.

"Do i remind you of an acquaintance?"

She walks towards another wooden tailor's dummy behind the counter.
"Matter of fact, i have something in such a fashion.
I made it from the last delivery's materials, in its color it's the only one i have."

She carefully moves the dummy into sight.
"Is it what you were looking for?"

"If you don't mind me asking, is it to show off for someone?
Or is it for something to go to?"

I couldn't find a proper pic, though.

Someone asked for the shopkeeper?

The shopkeeper, a young woman with smooth shoulder length raven black hair and some Tian features, stands behind the counter, adding a few decorations to a dress she has on display.

When the ladies enter, she looks up and puts her needle and kit away.

"Good morning, may i be of service to you?
If so, is it for an occasion, or just something you've got to have?"

When Tereze asks what the local fashion is like, she smiles.
"Oh, that can vary. The city's not exactly at the most prominent of trade routes, fashion changes with seasons longer than most cities.
Anyway, let me show you."

She shows Tereze several sorts, ranging from long dresses with flat colors and decorations, dresses based on corsets with a long skirt. She also had some that were more casual clothes, but added to it were some shiny buttons or motifs in colors that gave it a certain formal style to it.
All could have either long sleeves or short sleeves.

When Fiona comes up and asks her about the dress, she nods.
"Of course you can, it would match your figure pretty well."
This dress?
Or this one?

Maybe you can find a GM willing to take over?

Otherwise, can this go inactive?

It's been fun though.

You did mention we were about to close this one.

I'm fine, but if there is just a diplomatic part to be dealt with, the other three could get their chronicle right?

Aside from that, take care and thanks for running.

Hearing you loud and clear.

GM, in case you needed a reminder,

I'll pass on the PFS credit, as i'll be playing this in a season run.

Diplomacy: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (16) - 3 = 13

"What the big guy said."

Very convincing...

I'm curious, how far are we into part 1?

Cassandra sees a hint of doubt on the scaly creatures' snouts.

"They are wary, now that one of the gators has fallen, kill the other and they might be more frightened of us!"

5ft step south.
Cassandra aims for the other gator.
Shot, PBS: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 5 + 1 = 18DMg: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Vs Braggom's gator.

Shot, PBS: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 5 + 1 = 18Dmg, PBS: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Cassandra takes a shot at the animal near Braggom.

Shot, PBS: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 5 + 1 = 12Dmg, PBS: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Aw..come on :)

"Here we go...."

Cassandra cautiously moves to near the entrance of the room, to decide a decent position.

Sry, just returned from an appointment.

I believe we got down already.

"An excellent idea, from tactical point of view."

Congratulations on the child.
Now you've got a little bundle of love that requires you to sleep less and keep your nose closed regularly ;)

I wouldn't mind continuing.

Grats on the job offer.

Btw..are we alive?

"Hmm...pity i don't see in lesser lighting, or i could have checked for any. Very well, what sort of traps do you usually set for intruders?"

"I wasn't saying anything about the personality of your saurian pet. Merely referring to the possibility of worse things than crocodiles."

Cassandra looks at the others, then back at the kobold.
"Any idea as to the possibility of traps ahead?"

"Agreed, that sounds like crocodiles, other reptilians possibly?
Taking into consideration the fact, that they keep a dinosaur as a pet, it could even be something worse than a crocodile."

Cassandra takes no risks and climbs the 1st 10 feet in accelerated fashion before making an acrobatic jump to ignore the last 10 feet.

Climb, accelerated: 1d20 + 6 - 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 - 6 = 19
Acrobatics last 10 ft: 1d20 + 9 - 1 ⇒ (17) + 9 - 1 = 25

"Both are reptile kind, so i guess there's some mutual acceptance here."

"..they are keeping...a dinosaur, as a pet."

Cassandra shook her head lightly.

Good thing it seems tame enough.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Suave rogues avoid situations with risk of taking dmg. ;)

"How many would you say support this chief? The majority, or less than half?"

"So the two of them had conflict over the tower. She lost and by that your custom is to bind them like that?"

Speaking of bag & tag.

*Shrug*

"Let's take our chances."

Cassandra had her arms folded, unable to follow the conversation in draconic.

"Might as well give it a try, it's not like we've got many options right now."

"Ok, we'll see how this will turn out."

Cassandra has her bow at the ready.

"Men...charging in recklessly."

Cassandra moves forth a bit, then takes a potshot at the kobold NE of Braggom.
Shot, PBS: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17Sting, PBS: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

"Done here, now to get to the others."

Cassandra runs after the others.
Run action, up to 4x my speed.

*Poke*

This thing still working?

Yup, another CDG.

Yes, CDG first.

"Those are spooked. I suggest ridding ourselves of those two before they get up and bail for reinforcements too."

Unless there is sound of extra kobolds arriving, Cassandra would go to CDG the kobolds, with a rapier.

CDG 1: 2d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (4, 3) + (3) = 10 > Fort 20 or die.
CDG 2: 2d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (3, 1) + (3) = 7 > Fort 17 or die.
Incidentally, Cassandra could keep on stabbing until they die, making lots of CDG attempts.

Since they only just joined the fight, do they count as the 1st round for them? Aka flat footed.....

Cassandra makes a leap to get past her companions, away from the spears.
Acro, avoid spears: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14

Shot vs lone kobold, PBS: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25Sting: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Crit?: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6Extra: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 4) = 10
Aw...
