   Round 2: In Arabic: It is YOU the buzzards will feast upon this day, by Allah!! Barak thrusts his main hand sword at Wulfgar...1d20 + 19 ⇒ (15) + 19 = 34 piercing for 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10 damage...and again 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (3) + 14 = 17, but Wulfgar dodges!... A third thrust at the aasimar bloodrager 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19, but Wulfgar parries with his greatsword! *CLANK!!* He thrusts his off hand sword at Vanna...1d20 + 18 ⇒ (13) + 18 = 31 bypassing her parry and piercing her left shoulder for 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 damage! A second thrust 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (1) + 13 = 14 is parried by the swashbuckler’s rapier! *SKRIIING!!*

[ooc]Barak’s AC is 23, so not a crit, but 12 more piercing damage drops him to a total of 33 points of damage! Vanna’s rapier pierces the captain’s left side! AAAARRGH!!

In round 1, Altin’s first shot strikes the captain’s flat-footed AC of 17 and deals 10 piercing damage... Down 21 hit points total so far... AAAAHH!! screams Barak as Altin’s first arrow pierces his right thigh... He begins to run as fast as he can with an arrow in his leg toward Volreg, Altin and Wulfgar... In round 2, no longer flat-footed, Barak dodges Altin’s second arrow... Seeing Altin nock and draw back another arrow, the slaver dodges our of its path as he races toward the adventurers!
Round 1: In Arabic: YOU BASTARDS STOLE MY SHIP AND COST ME MY CREW!! BECAUSE OF YOUR TRICKS, HALF OF MY CREW DESERTED, AND THE OTHER HALF MUTINIED!! TORUKO AND I HAD TO KILL THOSE WHO TURNED AGAINST US BECAUSE OF YOU!! AND NOW YOU HAVE KILLED TORUKO!! I’LL KILL YOU ALL!!! Barak sprints toward his hated foes... Full run 115 feet up to Wulfgar...

Seeing Volreg peeking out from behind a boulder, Barak leers like a ravenous jackal... HAHAHAHAA!! YES!! THANK ALLAH THEY SHOW THEIR UGLY FACES!! LET US TAKE OUR REVENGE, TORUKO!!
The two slaver pirates scan the hard pan around them in search of water to quench their growing thirst... Survival 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20 vs DC 15 succeeds... Finding a tall cactus, they chop it down and extract its juices, greedily slurping at each slice until their terrible thirst is somewhat slaked...
First Mate Toruko the Tengu wrote: In mimicked Arabic: *Squaaawwwk!* Pull yourself together, Captain! It’s not genies! It’s those Europeans who attacked us at Anfa and stole our ship with their trickery! Now they are probably somewhere behind us, and have used magic to steal our water! We must find them, take them by surprise, and kill them while they slumber, and take their water... Barak looks at Toruko with panic-crazed eyes for a moment... Water... We must find water, Toruko! The desert has dried my throat fiercely...
The night of the 16th passes, and it is as twilight begins to glow before dawn on the 17th, that Captain Barak awakens, goes to his camel to fetch a drink from one of his water skins, and to his horror, discovers them all empty... On both his camel, and Toruko’s! In Arabic: Allah has cursed us!! Or desert genies have doomed us!! Toruko!! We have no waterrrrr!!

Count your time....although you probable can't count that high....maybe get your pet canary to count for you... Vanna says, her wprds dripping with contempt and malice. Such ugly words from such a pretty mouth... It will be a shame for you to be the meal of some terrible monster from the squawking wilderness of Africa, My Lady... You would be a feisty and stimulating morsel for the sultan’s harem... Alas, your fate is to be far less tender than that... Hahahahahahaaa!!
Altin Karela wrote: As Barak peers through the bars, Altin waits till the brute has finished taunting them, then spits full in the slaver's face. "Go to Hell, Barak. ARRRGH!! Vanna’s rapier sinks into the captain’s abdomen, spilling more of his blood on the caravanserai floor! Badly wounded, and clearly unnerved by the magical powers Altin and Volreg display, Captain Barak strategically withdraws from the fray as best he can, but the cramped caravanserai makes a clean break impossible... Provoking AoO from Vanna and Wulfgar as he flees the caravanserai!

With the short sword in his left hand, he thrusts at Giovanna 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28 twice 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12...but only puncturing the young lady once for 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 piercing damage!

Round 1: Captain Barak snarls in rage at Wulfgar, standing forcefully and knocking over his chair (a move action) as he draws a short sword with his right hand (as part of the move action to stand up), and then draws a second short sword with his left hand (his second move action)... In Arabic: What on Earth ARE ye, Northman!? Some kind of half-djinn? Clearly, Captain Barak is unnerved by the celestial change in Wulfgar’s features...

At the caravanserai... To Wulfgar in Arabic: We will strike first at the Mandinka village of Baabuloo, located on a tributary of the Niger River, not far from the coast, in the Kingdom of Mali... They will be easy prey, for they are far removed from the capital and the protection of their king...

Wulfgar senses that the slaver captain and the first mate are plotting treachery against he and his allies... Perhaps Captain Barak and First Mate Toruko have sensed the same of the adventurers, and plan to turn the tables on them... In Arabic: Haha! You must excuse Toruko... He is a suspicious old bird, aren’t you, ‘Ruko? Captain Barak grins at Wulfgar, and adds: Come to the second dock from the west tomorrow at sunrise... We sail down the coast for the Negro villages...
Sense Motive 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20... The captain grins and replies to Wulfgar, in Arabic: Eight shekels seems a bit much... But you seem like capable bravos... How about six shekels per head, and if you do a fine enough job, we’ll reopen negotiations for further raids? Bluff 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12 vs Wulfgar’s Sense Motive roll...
Wulfgar Ivarsson wrote: Realizing the captain was following him, he turns, and nods toward Altin, "I told your sailor, I would discuss the job with my partner, and possibly see him in the morning. Would the same pay go for any I bring, if I vouch for them?" You split the reward, so if there are six of you, and together, you bring me a dozen slaves, that’s sixty shekels...or ten per man...
