Does this work with a bow on my zen archer. It dosent look like it is unarmed attacks only or even melee only.
I realize that the level 17 ability of the Zen archer May make it work but it looks to me like it works from Day one.
If this have been asked 10 times before i could not find it.

Can any body find a good Way to get the animal growth on the bloodrager spell list.
The plan is to take the bloodrider archtype and the animal soul feat. To get a large mad man on a huge calmel. I welcome all suggestions. But i prefer not to multi class.

A near trick for the unscrupulous necromancer(any body deling in undead controlling and creating really).
1: Make or hijack a powerfull undead with some sort of create spawn ability.
2: Find some poor sods that no body will miss slaves, convictet criminals, a Remote village or some beggers you can Snatch of the street.
3: And let your new friend make some loyal followers.
4: do step 2 and 3 until you feel ready.
5: take over part of the World.
6: spend your time as Evil overlord being afraid of the Day where some adventures kill the only undead you control and all the others turn on you:)

It seems to me that weapons like muskets and great swords should either do 1d8 when small or 2d8 when medium, for the game to follow the rules there seem to be for scaling damage dice to size.
Am i rigth? And if yes do we know why they do not?

I was arguing with a guy about this and now i ask you guys.
If i take a Monk AT that gives up Flurry( pehaps a 2 level dip in MoMS)can i then use TWF with the monk Improved unarmed strike? In the entry of monks unarmed strike in the book it says

"At 1st level, a monk gains Improved Unarmed Strike as a bonus feat. A monk's attacks may be with fist, elbows, knees, and feet. This means that a monk may make unarmed strikes with his hands full. There is no such thing as an off-hand attack for a monk striking unarmed. A monk may thus apply his full Strength bonus on damage rolls for all his unarmed strikes."
This could meen
1. that the monk dose not have the option of striking with his of hand and there by getting an extra attack, when using the monk version of IUS.

2 Or it could meen taht he have that option but dosent get a penalty to hit and damage (full str and power attack on all attacks)

3 Or it could be that he does get the penalty to hit but not the damage penalty.(-2 to hit but full str and power attack on all attacks)

I have always looked at the line "There is no such thing as an off-hand attack for a monk striking unarmed." as pointing towards possibillity 1.

If it is 2 or 3 then that MoMS Dip looks even better for the unarmed figther. Can you buy Flurry if you have the just one level in monk? And now even in armor? or can you only use the normal IUS if you want to TWF with your hands?
If i am unclear, or this is messy please tell me. And if not please tell me what is what. Or FAQ if you dont know either.

Would you allow a magus to research spells that would be on Line with some of the combat relatet wizard spells that is not on the magus list?
Spells like false life, energy protection or even heroism?
I am playing a Magus that is trying to do this in my Downtime. And i dont really have the detacthment to see it as anything but great.
But some how it also feeds like i am trying to get somthing that should cost me a feat, if i copyright the spells rigth over that is.
I welcome all kind of input and will ad it to my recomendation to the GM in this matter.
Thanks.

I am currently playing a magus enginer (not an AT just maxed out knowledge and profession). He have just startet building a littel powerplant in a secret room in a castel he have been asked to build.
We are using the Downtime rules and the powerplant will, when it is finished( if the goblinhorde dosent take over the castel) generate magic capital. If this ends up working as my character hopes. He will build a bigger power plant( there is plenty of room in the secret part of the castel)
Of cause no story about magic nuclear power is finished until somthing goes horrible wrong.
What i am looking for is suggestions of how this can go wrong. Both little wrong and big wrong.
Nothing is of the table any idea no matter how strange is welcome.
I will take the suggestions to my GM.

Yes that is the question. I have seen what SKR tells us the Wording meens and if he says so and all. But if you use the boots how do you guys rule they work?
Thanks in advance.
And happy new year:)

If i get calcific touch for my magus. I can use it with spellstrike. But it can only be used once pr round on the following rounds, yes.
It says once pr round me being a magus wont change that?

I tryed out this girl last nigth.
So a bloodrager abbysal bloodline) level 6 half orc

Asunda Zyperion IV
20 point build
Str 19( +2half orc and+1for level 4+2for belt)
Dex 14
Con 14
Int 10
Wis 12
Cha 13
HP : around 59( with favored class bonus)
Fort+8
Reflex: +5
Will: +6(8 vs charm and compulsion)
Toothy alternate race trait
Feats: power attack , iron will, arcana strike, Toughness,
Traits: birth mark, armor master,
Spells known: truestrike, shield, vanish, expeditious retreat. 2/day
Equipment: amulet of MF +1, mithril brast plate, ring of prot+1, belt +2str, cloak of res +1, some potions (ligth cure x 5 and lesser restoration)and low level wands(shield, obscuring mist), master work A. silver Bardiche, Sling+ bullets, MW Cold iron morningstar.
Skills: acrobatics perception, Spell craft, mande out and the other class skills have one rank each.

At level 6 she will have somthing like + 10 to hit and +14 to Dam with 3 attacks her AC will only be 15 but she will be large and have reach to compensate.

I found that the spell casting ended up doing only very littel and only really being a factor in one battle. but the wands and arcane strike, that is tied to the spells, was very important. 2 of the figths ended so close that with out arcane strike it would have gone the other way.
I used spells only twice once to cast shield in the surprise round, and once to cast true strike before charging in and tripping a TWF figther thingie with way too many attacks.
She would have benefittet from knowing the frost bite spell and delivering it via my natural attacks. that would have been quite a big boost to the first 6 attacks and fatigue is nice.

I think getting feat versions of the Magus arcanas that dosent use arcane points, at the appropiate levels) may be a good addition.
But all in all it did feel like a warrior taintet with supernatural stuff.
All in all i like it.
Edit: i asssumed full caster level and that may be a mistake:(

6 people marked this as FAQ candidate.

What if i as an attack of opputunity or a immediate action(as i assume the spell storing armor proberty is ment to be using) give some one the staggered condition?

The conditions that turns you off like stun, daze or dead are easy to figure out but what with staggered?

Do i interrupt what ever my attacker is doing or is he really first staggered after his turn?

If this is a well known thing and i am a retard please let me know:)

Can a ninja or rogue (level 20) with a pair of merciful pebberboxes and the two weapon figthing line of feats as well as Sap adebt, sap master and knockout artist pehaps with a pair of sniper goggles do 1020( this is sneek only i havent done the build yet but weapons and possibly deadly aim would be on top of this) points of subdual damage a full round action vs. a enemy denied dex?

2 people marked this as FAQ candidate.

The spell have range 0 and as a component it needs a model of the target.
That seem to imply that you need the one you want copy present duing the 12 houre casting time.
That may make the level 13 wizard makes snowman pit fiend a bit impractical.
Or am i reading this all wrong?
Edit: and sorry for asking somthing that have most likely been asked before, but i cudent find any thing about it with the search function.

I am thinking the combination og spellstrike, Spell-combat and the net adept feat. And i wonder i somebody have suggestions or experiance with the combination. Possibly with the soul-knife AT.
Any input is welcome:)
Edit: sorry for the tripel post.

Hey folks
I was planning for my next campain to make the level progression class dependent.Figthers, Monks and Rogues get the fast track. Full casters and Summoners get the slow track. And everybody else get the middle one.
Pehaps Some classes like Barbarian and Magus need to have their own track, but you get the idea?
So is this a bad step backwards towards AD&D or can it work?
